MIM: Lucy Johnson

Meow! Welcome to another MIM video. Today's post is a different sort of post as I am going to talk to you about why you should go to subscribe to one of my amazing friends... I hope that you enjoy this post and you should go check out Lucy!

Lucy is a student who has a big interest in films. This includes films like Hancock, Bridget Jones Diary and any film starring Angelina Jolie... Any film with Angelina Jolie in is her favourite...

Lucy basically bases her life on Bridget Jones like most single people within the world... I think this is one of the reasons why we are such good friends... She recently went through a tough break up and now is slowly becoming Bridget Jones which she shows within the video...

She is a great person with such an amazing personality and I hope that we stay friends for a long while as we are both basically Bridget Jones...

I hope that you have enjoyed reading this little ramble about Lucy. Don't forget to check out her YouTube channel which I shall link below. I hope that you have enjoyed this and I shall see you tomorrow for another MIM post!

MIM: Guilty Pleasures Tag

Meow! Welcome to another Meowing In May post. This post is quite explanatory from the title. This post is going to be a tag post. The answers may change from my video as I filmed them both at different times so if I can't remember the answer from the video then I might say something different...

This tag is called The Guilty Pleasures Tag as within the tag I answer the questions provided which are linked to guilty pleasures and then at the end of the post I tag some people but as it is a blog post I am going to tag some bloggers... I was tagged by my brother Luke.

Q1: What's one TV Show you watch that you shouldn't confess to?
A1: I have a few TV shows that I shouldn't confess to watching but the main one is probably American Horror Story... Why? AHS is an anthropology based show which changes every season but its quite a mystical/weird show... The first series contains links to cheating on your other half, depression and ghosts that appear in a gimp mask and other things... The second one is about a mental asylum containing aliens, the third one is about witchcraft, voodoos, devils and a bir of slaughtering and the last one is based on a freakshow so you can see why I shouldn't admit to watching it. I also watch Made In Chelsea from time to time which I shouldn't admit to as it is a reality show...

Q2: Food, you eat what?
A2: I don't really eat any weird food anymore.. I've eaten things like ostrich and other things like that and when I was very young, I used to be able to eat raw onions and garlic apparently but otherwise I don't really eat anything that's disgusting...

Q3: Music I love, but others cringe at.
Q3: Well, the music I am listening to right now is Lady Gaga which some people may cringe at as she has been quite controversial with her outfits and with some of her recent songs as she wrote a few songs about taking drugs... I like the controversy though and as I can literally listen to any sort of music then this is probably what people cringe at.. I can literally go from listening to pop songs about love/sex and go straight to listening to rock/alternative music... It's slightly strange I suppose...

Q4: Guilty online habit?
A4: I am going to admit that I online window shop quite a lot when I know that I can't afford it but I also get bored when I'm hungry and look at restaurant menus... Oops.

Q5: I love to wear.. but I shouldn't.
A5: Most of my clothes to be actually really honest... I look like a hobo most of the time but ah well... I am going to say my cute animated hats as I have a tiger and another one which I probably shouldn't wear in public...

Q6: Movie you love so much, but shouldn't.
A6: Mean Girls or Bridget Jones Diary (both of them) hands down. I know every line word for word for both films... I shouldn't love them so much but oh my god I do... I mean Mean Girls is so fetch, its hard not to love it and I relate on a spiritual level with Bridget  Jones as I am expected to die fat and alone to be found three weeks later half eaten by Alsatians... Ah well, it sounds fun to die that way.

Q7: Funny habit, people comment on
A7: Meowing.. Everyone comments on it but I stopped caring about what other people think...

Q8: Make up look you love but is just so wrong.
A8:
I don't really wear make up but I think the whole completely smoky eye and bright red lips would be my answer to this because sometimes it can look a bit wrong depending on how well its executed but I love it so...

I tag Dungarees & Doughnuts, Big Fashionista & A Blokes Eyeview to take part in this tag!

I hope that you have enjoyed this tag. Comment down below with your guilty pleasure... Don't forget to watch the video as well! I shall see you tomorrow for another Meowing In May post!

MIM: My Favourite Lush Products

Meow! So today's MIM post is going to be one which you will all love. I am going to talk about my favourite products from Lush. I have tried to keep them all special edition free (except one) but my taste in Lush products changes all the time so  I thought it would be good to tell you which ones I'm into at the minute...  Don't forget to check the video which will go along with this!

So the first product that I am going to talk about is the Dragons Egg bath ballistic. Now if you've checked out any of my other Lush posts then you will know that this bath bomb holds a special place in my heart as it was the first bath bomb that I ever bought from Lush. Now this ballistic contaias lemon oil, bergamot oil and other delicious goodies. This product does lots of amazing things when it is dropped into water including turning your bath into a fire inducing colour and crackles like there is no tomorrow. It costs £3.35

The next cosmetical thing that I am going to talk about is the Honey, I Washed The Kids! soap. This soap contains the infamous honey-toffee scent that I absolutely love and I am sure that I have talked about this product before! Lush describe this product as washing with crème brulee in solid form and I agree so much! It's sweet but not too sweet for a soap! It contains so many good things including wild orange oil and bergamot oil. I stock up on this in bulk because it is so good! Costs £3.40/100g

Okay so this is the one that people either love or loathe... What do I think of it? I absolutely love it! This one is the Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt... The reason why it is a bath bomb melt is because the  cocoa butter outside melts away leaving a fizzy bath bomb core to fizz around your tub. People either love or loathe it mainly because of the amount of glitter on the exterior. I love it mainly for its scent and the properties within the bath bomb yet I can cope with the glitter. This is a Easter limited edition bath bomb so unless its Easter then you can't get it. I have another reason to why I love it which I'm going to talk about. Last year when the Golden Egg was first released, I was going to an As It Is gig and bought one on the day as I wanted to try it out because of the amount of glitter and rave reviews but basically I met the As It Is guys and talked to them about it and now I connect Patty Walters to the Golden Egg and it reminds me of that amazing night. It also contains Olive Oil and other great things! Costs £3.75 when you can get your hands on it.

The next product isn't a bath product... Wow! I know! It is a face and body cleanser. This product is called Let The Good Times Roll. It leaves your skin feeling so soft! The product has a sort of fudge like scent to it which makes it amazing to use... Remember the scene in Mean Girls where Aaron kisses Regina's face because it smells of mint? Imagine that but better as you can make sure that it actually isn't foot cream! This product contains polenta which sounds weird to use on yourself but it gently exfoliates the skin. It looks weird at first as it is a weird consistency but you mix a tiny amount with water into a paste and apply it! Costs £6.75/100g

I'm making a trip back to the bath bombs but it's going to be the last bath bomb that I talk about! This one is called Twilight. I think the reasoning behind the name is because twilight conveys darkness and tranquillity which they show perfectly with this ballistic! When you drop this beauty into water, it turns your water into the colours of the setting sun but then it slowly gets darker turning your bath water into a dark shimmery purple (you can make remarks thinking you're going to turn into Edward Cullen until you try it as that's not the case.) This bomb contains lavender, Tonka absolute and other great things. Everyone knows that lavender slowly sends you sleep so Twilight sets you down to slowly sleep when out of the tub! Costs £3.35

Breath of Fresh Air is toner water and within this paragraph I am going to tell you why it's one of my favourite products because I love this product so much! Lush describe this as the sea breeze in a bottle and I agree so much with that statement as it is so refreshing. It contains rose absolute which gives it that slight hint of sweetness. You can either use it to keep you refreshed which I have been doing recently especially as it has been nice weather in the past couple of weeks or you can use it to calm down redness and spots which is what I also do as I break out quite a lot. You can also use it as a make up remover which means that this product is so versatile and useful! Costs £4.25/100g

The next product is an ultimate favourite for me! Catastrophe Cosmetic is a fresh face mask. This does mean that you have to keep it in the fridge as it is fresh but what it does to your face is worth the crazy looks of your family when they find it in the fridge... This face mask is packed with blueberries, chamomile, almond oils and other great things. The way to use this product is to smear a personal amount onto your clean wet face and leave for 10-15 minutes whilst you do other things. I use this when I am going somewhere important as it calms my face down from breakouts and makes my skin feel so soft. If this doesn't sound like the best thing for your face as everyones skin is different then go to your local store where a staff member can help you find the best face mask for you! Did you know that blueberries are rich in Vitamin A, C and E? Costs £6.50

This is the penultimate product in my Lush favourites post! This product is a new one for some people especially if you've stuck mainly to the face/bath products... Each Peach (And Two's A Pair) is a massage bar. A massage bar is a creamy concoction which is formed in a bar. Imagine a portable moisturiser... Lush do many different bars including a Earl Grey scented one Shades Of Earl Grey) and one that is shaped like a Strawberry (Strawberry Feels Forever.) This one contains cocoa butter and a lot of citrus fruits... The scent is so uplifting and it would wake anyone up in a morning! You can either drag it directly over the part of body that youd like to moisturise or rub the bar between both of your hands and massage it into the skin. These bars are perfect for couples or if you're like me and are more of a Bridget Jones/single person then these are perfect to treat yourself with... Costs £5.95

This is the last product that I am going to talk about! My last Lush favourite is the Dorothy Bubble Bar... Bubbles hide a multitude of sins and suggest a multitude of others... If you don't know what a bubble bar is then its basically a bath product that's formed into a sort of bar that you crumble up under running water and it creates bubbles... The more you crumble, the more bubbles that are created.... This product contains orange oil and ylang ylang which kind of reminds me of lillies as it is one of those sweet clean floral scents yet this particular bubble bar turns the bath water a dark shade of aquamarine. It also has a rainbow on the front of it which reminds me of the LGBTQIA+ flag which makes me smile... Costs £3.25

So I hope that you have enjoyed this massive blog post! Don't forget to watch the video that goes along with this post and don't forget to comment if you've used any of these products and what you think of said product... I shall see you tomorrow for another Meowing In May!

MIM: Humpit Restaurant Review

Meow, so today's MIM post is a review post... Yes it is about food so if the post is slightly a bit too M&S like then you can choose not to read the post but Humpit is an amazing place and you should get check them out!

Humpit was created 7 months ago by Jonathan and his dad. They saw a huge gap in the market for a bar that sells fresh hummus in a bowl rather than the bland kind that is mass manufactured within supermarkets. They then slowly thought that falafel would be a great addition to the menu and now they're the falafel kings of Leeds. They thought that Corn Exchange would be a great place to set up shop as it is a quirky place and a great hub for the independent food scene which has now grown as Trinity Kitchen also is one now. All of their food is freshly made daily and locally sourced so you feel great when you buy something from Humpit!

I ordered a falafel in pitta with salad and other things within it and oh my god it was so good! When I opened my bag (it was given to me when I ordered the food to be taken out) I realised how big the pitta was... It wasn't one of those little pittas that you pick up from the store and you have to cut into it and when you try to stuff things into the pitta it all just instantly tumbles out. It was a massive pitta bread!

The food contained so much salad with two falafel patties poking out... I instantly took a bite of the falafel and it tasted so good... It was zesty but refreshing to eat and the patties were slightly heavy but not too stodgy and I could taste all the spices and herbs... You could tell how much love went into the food!

I couldn't really tell what vegetables were in the salad but there was carrots and some other veg and it was all drizzled in olive oil. Olive oil in my opinion makes all salad better especially things that are bitter eg salad leaves but the olive oil reminded me instantly of the Mediterranean and it was so good. It just made me feel that all was calm in the world even though I was in a busy shopping complex...

When I digged further into the soft doughy bread, I ate more crisp refreshing salad and realised that there was more delicious patties of falafel buried within the product and it surprised me as the soft dough contrasted again the crisp interior was just so mouthwatering...

I would give this product a good 9.8/10. I always think that everywhere can improve. It did get a bit messy which is the only down fall so if you get it to take out then it might not be the best idea to walk and eat unless you can multitask amazingly otherwise it was amazing. The food was amazing, the customer service was amazing and everything was just so good... I shall be going to Humpit more often and I shall be enjoying falafel more often thus feeling good as it is all vegetarian...

I hope that you have enjoyed this post and I shall see you tomorrow for another Meowing In May blog post!

MIM: The Meghan Trainor Rant

Meow so today's video is going to be a rant... I'm sorry if it's a controversial topic but within this post I am going to tell you why I hate Meghan Trainor...

So, Luke bought her album quite a few weeks ago as he thought that the songs were catchy therefore they were good in his opinion... He has had this album on repeat whenever wherever to the point where if I hear one of her songs then I want to find the outlet of the noise and smash it until the noise stops and you can't play it anymore...

This leads me onto the next point, why do all of her songs sound like they were written within five minutes/whilst she was on the toilet? I seriously think a tone deaf 14 year old could write better songs... I just think that if she had spent a little bit more time then the songs would be better lyric wise and I would be able to somewhat relate to the songs and cope with them but it's probably best that I can't.

This paragraph may be the longest one within this post so expect a bit of ranting... I absolutely hate All About This Bass for one reason and one reason alone... The meaning behind the song... Meghan had basically stopped eating for one day and claimed that she had an eating disorder and then her parents got her to eat within the next hour... That's horrible as she didn't have an eating disorder. The lyrics within the song also annoy me so much... Meghan is basically skinny shaming and saying that men like more weight on a persons body... That may be true but there is no need to put down skinny people. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and if they're skinny then let them be skinny or if they are plus sized or love food then let them. Society has taught everyone to look a certain way and this song is amplifying that and it is 2015 if we can have marriage equality in the country which I am so proud to have then why can't we just accept everyone how they are and let them get on with their lives?

The last reason to why I hate Meghan Trainor is that she has basically changed one chord from another artists song and claimed it as her own and the song is just so annoying. The video doesn't make it better as it shows sexist stereotypes...

What do you think of Meghan Trainor? Comment down below and tell me your opinions as I will be reading them... I hope that you have somewhat enjoyed this blog post... Don't forget to watch my average ranty video that goes along this and I shall see you tomorrow for another Meowing In May post!

MIM: Lush & The Body Shop Unboxing & Haul

Meow, so I have done a video on this which  I shall put a link to at the bottom. As I have been given some freebies from an event and such I thought that it would be a good idea to talk about what I got. I hope that you enjoy the blog post and I will try to put prices/links at the bottom of the post.

So, I'm going to start off with the Lush section first as it is the shortest... My friend Urika who I did a blog pos about (I'll put the blog post at the bottom of the post) sent me a package... It was meant to be sent in the Easter holidays but as Royal Mail love to be annoying, I didn't get it until the end of the Easter Holidays... When it eventually turned up, I found out that inside the package was a lovely hand written note from Urika which was pretty amazing. I'm not going to write about what it said but it was really cute! She had also included a Hoppity Poppity bath ballistic. I talked about this bath bomb within the Easter Lush post but just to remind you it contains fresh Violet Leaf and Lavender... It is still around at Lush stores even though it is an Easter exclusive! I thought what Urika did was really amazing!

Let's hop into the bath and pop all our troubles away

I'm going to talk about The Body Shop products next... As you all know, I was invited to a bloggers event at The White Rose Centre and at the end of it I was given a goodie bag. The first thing that I got from the goodie bag was a waterlily... A waterlily sounds weird but just keep reading! Basically a waterlily is a mesh sort of sponge... Most people know them as a scrunchie but the correct term is a waterlily... I can't wait to use it!

The next thing that I am going to talk about is the Honey and Oat 3 in 1 scrub. I got given a sample but basically its what it says on the pot. It gently removes dead skin cells, smoothes and refines and moisturises and and conditions your skin. I have been using it quite a bit at the minute and the results are amazing.  It is great for sensitive skin!

I'm going to keep talking about scrubs for the next bit as The Body Shop also gave me a sample of the Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub. It cleanses and exfoliates the skin but it also moistures the skin whilst having the gorgeous scent of Fuji Green Tea.... Its so good and its best if you use it with the waterlily to fully get into your skin...

I am going to keep with the Fuji Green Tea range and talk about the Fuji Green Tea Sorbet next. Now it doesn't have the properties of the scrub but it is so light and refreshing! Now as it is light and refreshing, it absorbs into the skin very quickly. It also hydrates the skin for around 24 hours which is great in my eyes!

The next Fuji Green Tea product that I am going to talk about is the Body Butter... Now it contains shea butter which is great for the skin and also great to get rid of stretch marks. It melts onto your skin but leaves a slight texture on your body as it is a buttery product... It also packs a punch scent wise and is great for moisturising!

I also got given some sachets of the Drops of Youth: Bouncy Sleeping Mask. The mask contains skin cells and a lot of other great things which does great things for your skin. Now you get told on the website and by TBS staff to put the mask on in a certain way... The full version is expensive but the results are amazing and it made my skin feel so refreshed yet so good!

I also got given some samples of the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser... I tried it this week and it was so good. The scent was slightly citrusy! The product did amazing thinga for my face and made my skin feel smooth, soft and tight all at the same time... It's not out yet but when it does, I urge you to go and try it!

So this is everything that was within the boxes but I hope that you have enjoyed the blog post... Don't forget to check out the Fuji Green Tea range and I shall see you tomorrow for another Meowing In May. I hope to see you then!

MIM: Why Do I Meow?

Meow, so today is the 2nd of May which means that this is the second blog post of Meowing In May or MIM for ease... Today's post is going to explain why I meow... I know that this may be a different blog post than usual but that's what Meowing In May is going to be all about...

There are many reasons to why I meow but I shall explain them to you in brief as I don't really want this post to become an 'essay'.

So, if you know me at all then you will know that I have a YouTube channel and at the time I was going through a phase where YouTube was my world... It still is but not as much nowadays... I noticed that some people have different intros for their videos... Emma Blackery had the whole 'she has manballs' intro, Dan Howell has 'hello internet', Louise (Sprinkle Of Glitter) has hola sprinklerinos and so on so I instantly thought that something would be good so people would remember/recognise me and I instantly thought that meow was a good choice and I stuck with it till this very day... It worked when people recognise/remember and it still does to this day.

The other reason is a slightly personal one but I shall elaborate. A friend of mine once told me that it's easier to create a character when you feel down instead of being yourself when you're down and I did. I created a sort of character within the whole LeKinkyTiger thing and decided that I would carry on the meowing thing through that including me once wearing a tiger onesie around Leeds to a gig as people would know me... It sounds silly but it worked... I also have a tiger hat that I would wear to certain things or places when I felt rubbish to put simple and politely...

So I hope that this has gave you an insight into why I meow and I hope that you have enjoyed reading this blog post...  I know it has delved into my personal life but if you would like more posts like these then comment down below so I know... A video of this shall be going up so don't forget to check that! I hope that you have a great day and I shall see you tomorrow for another day of Meowing In May

Welcome to Meowing In May!

Meow!

So this is going to be a short post but I hope that you enjoy reading this and everything else that is coming up this month.

So, a while back, I thought of a great idea. I thought that it would be great to do a blog post and a video everyday throughout May as some great stuff is happening within May and it is my 18th at the end of May therefore it means that I will have challenged myself for once...

Meowing In May is going to consist of many different posts. Things from beauty reviews, announcements, food reviews, beauty advice, gig reviews, hauls, personal posts which may explain quite a few things about me and many other posts... I am going to be doing a video version of the blog posts on my YouTube channel also so don't forget to check out my YouTube channel everyday throughout May!

As today is the first of May, I thought todays post would be a short little introduction to what is coming up within the next month. I hope that you enjoy reading my posts and watching the videos everyday in May!

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Hand Massage - Leeds Briggate

Meow, so this post is going to be about the green tea experience/hand massage that I received at The Body Shop Leeds Briggate store. I know that I've talked about the Fuji Green Tea range at The Body Shop quite a bit but this shall be the last for the minute. I hope that you enjoy this post and you should go into your local TBS and try the range out as soon as you can. I'm going to warn you about the photos not being that great as the focus was being a bit weird...

So me and Luke entered the store as we had been sent an email from the manager of the store confirming that we were coming in at 12. We entered the store and was instantly greeted which I find lovely at stores. I felt slightly awkward as I normally do and slowly brought my camera out. This is the moment when the member of staff noticed and ask if we were bloggers... We said yes and then the experience kicked in...

A member of staff called Rosie walked up to us and greeted us. We shook hands and then Rosie started talking about what Green Tea can do for your skin. We were handed some freshly brewed green tea and then Rosie started to massage my hand.
Steaming cup of green tea

She started off with the exfoliating soap which contains exfoliating beads on the top which means when you scrub the soap on your skin, the beads do their magic and start to exfoliate the skin. She next put the Fuji Green Tea body scrub on my arms which like the soap gets the dead skin off your body. The texture is slightly weird at the beginning but the scrub has particles in which when you massage into your body they get rid of all of the dirt so the new skin can come through. She then put a slight bit of the sorbet on my body which has a light texture which means its great for warm weather/when you want a product that is cool, refreshing and light but smells like Spring... Rosie then applied some body butter onto my arms which just melts on your skin and leaves such a great smell lingering on your skin. Finally, she spritzed some of the Fuji Green Tea EDT onto my wrists which enhanced the smell of Green Tea.

Trying to get a picture of your own hand with a DSLR in the other hand is quite tricky...

My friend Theresa got her hands massaged at the White Rose event but Ii wanted to see what it would be like and it was amazing. The massage/pampering left me smelling my body constantly around Leeds city centre and if a member of staff asks if you would like a hand massage you should definitely say yes. It is so relaxing! It relaxed me instantly as I felt slightly awkward and anxious at first but the shop was dead and there wasn't many people watching me so I felt comfortable.

If you have smelt any of the Fuji Green Tea range then don't forget to comment what you thought and if you had a favourite product of the range... I would like to thank the staff at The Body Shop Briggate for letting me take pictures within their store. I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post and I hope to see you next time!

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Event - White Rose Centre

Meow, so I was invited to The Body Shop Green Tea Event as The Body Shop have just released their Fuji Green Tea so I thought that I would tell you about it. You should all go check out the Fuji Green Tea range at The Body Shop as it's amazing! I can't thank the staff enough for inviting me to the event! (I would also like to mention that the photos won't be great as I realised that the focus settings had been changed at the end of the event...)

A sneak peek of the Fuji Green Tea range

We travelled to the White Rose Centre and tried to make our way to the store as I think that the complex is a bit of a maze but after a good few minutes we had arrived at the store. We walked in and slowly wandered around looking at all of the products that were on display to try.

One minute later, a lovely member of staff with a clipboard wandered up to us and asked if we were Jamie and Luke which we were and then asked us to go over to a table which displayed lots of colourful products. We walked over to there whilst a lovely young woman came over and talked to us. Her name was Theresa. She is a fellow blogger and asked us some questions as this was her bloggers event and wasn't sure what to expect. After a few minutes of talking, another blogger Kellie (I mentioned her in the Nouveau Lashes post) arrived with her daughter, we greeted and smiled as it was great to see her again... This is when the event started!

A tall bearded man (personally he looked pretty handsome) joined us. He introduced himself to us all and within a split second we had found out that his name was Tom and that he would be hosting the event. I also found out that he has a blog on Tumblr. A woman also walked over and introduced herself as Shannon. We also found out that she would be co-hosting the event with  Tom and that she is the skincare expert for the store at White Rose.
I know the picture is meh but here's the host!

They started off by talking about what the event was for. They explained that the whole purpose of the event was to highlight and promote the Fuji Green Tea range which I was pretty excited about because I always love new beauty products. After they explained this, Shannon asked who would like a hand massage which made the room go slightly silent until Theresa gladly volunteered. (Check out her blog to see how that went...)

We were handed green tea to go along eith the green tea experience as we were trying to hit all of the five senses. The green tea was donated to the event from the wonderful people at Costa Coffee in the White Rose Centre The green tea was fairtrade therefore I left it to cool whilst Tom told us how the green tea is picked from Fuji to be made into the Fuji Green Tea products at The Body Shop. He also told us how beneficial Green Tea is for us and how it detoxes us when we drink it so why haven't we all used it on our skins before?

Tom also then went on about the products and told us about the three stages within the Fuji Green Tea range. The first stage is called cleanse and detox then the second stage is called replenish and then the third is called replenish and it tells you what to do to your body in an order with the Fuji Green Tea products to ensure you get amazing results! Tom then showed us demonstrations such as the bath tea...  Yes, bath tea... Tom showed us that it is grounded up green tea...  I know this all sounds weird for a bath but stay with me because oh my god it is so good! (*sings stay with me*...) You basically put a good amount of the bath tea in the strainer that you can get from The Body Shop and then you put the hook that is attached to the strainer and let your tap run through it... You get the strong scent of green tea and the colour of green tea without the grittiness of the leaves... Basically you're making green tea for your bath... He also demoed the body butter, body scrub, body sorbet, soap and the other products that are in the Fuji Green Tea range.

Tom then told us about some of the new ranges that are coming to The Body Shop within the year and oh my god I was so excited to find out what The Body Shop has in store for us for the year! Tom introduced the Virgin Mojito range and told us a little bit about it and then demonstrated some of the range on us... He was explaining to me that he thought that it was really interesting as the gift sets for the Virgin Mojito range were designed so creatively. One of the gift sets contain an actual cocktail shaker and another one contains an ice bucket! (Is it only me who can see myself buying the set with the cocktail shaker and having a pamper night where we create cocktails or having a James Bond themed night and using it then...) The Virgin Mojito range is literally summer in a bottle and everyone at the event was talking about how much of the range they are going to buy when it comes out... That's all I'm going to say on the Virgin Mojito range but it comes out at the back end of May so go to your local Body Shop when its released and try it out!

All of the new Virgin Mojito range! (Out In Summer!)

Splash some Summer onto your body!

Tom then went on about the also upcoming make up... The beautiful Kellie said that most people don't think of makeup when they think of The Body Shop which I agree with on many levels but Tom agreed and added that 2016 will be the year of the makeup for The Body Shop so you should go and check out their makeup when you next pop in! I am wanting some foundation/nail polishes for when I feel and look a bit ugh so I shall be definitely getting them from The Body Shop!

New Eyeliners!

Eyeshadows!

One of the products that I loved that was talked about within the event was the All In One Instablur Eye. I am a student who needs something to make him look alert as I stay up till the middle of the night doing essays or procrastinating. I am also one of those people who wakes up every other hour when sleeping so when I wake up I normally look pretty tired... The All In One Instablur Eye instantly perfects the appearance of the eye area. Tom demoed a slight bit of the product and I fell in love with the purpose of the product. It smooths and conceals imperfections which includes dark circles and it contains caffeine so it will give my eyes the perfect alert look without drinkoing gallons of caffeine... This is a perfect product in my eyes... It's priced at £10 but utterly worth it as less is more!

We were given a goodie bag at the end of the event which was amazing... I am leaving that for another post though! I had such a lovely time learning about the process of the Green Tea, learning about the new products and trying out all of the products. I had such a lovely time meeting Theresa and seeing the wonderful Kellie! It was just a wonderful event!

I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post.. Sorry if it has been a bit lengthy but a lot of information needs to be shared as it was just so interesting! I would like to thank the staff from The Body Shop White Rose Centre for inviting me to this event! Have you tried any of the new Fuji Green Tea Range? If you have then comment down below on what you thought of it!

Give Them Some Meowing Love: U For Urika

Meow! Welcome to another GTSML post.Todays post is going to be about the wonderful Urika! Her blog is called U For Urika hence the title. Urika is an amazing person with an amazing blog and I hope that you check her blog out!

Urika is 21 and she currently lives in London. The reason that she actually started blogging is because she works for a brand within their PR... The brand is Lush Cosmetics! She instantly thought that it would be stupid not to have a blog! Urika likes to talk about fashion, food, music, lifestyle and much more!

So, a while back Urika emailed me to invite me to a Lush Christmas event which  I did a massive post on and then slowly after I thought that it would be good to follow her on Twitter... She emailed me back the day after asking how I had got Ansel Elgort (known for his roles in The Fault In Our Stars and the Divergent series.) I told her about a twitter following spree that Ansel did and how I got lucky and instantly after that we became pretty good friends! We then started talking on twitter and now you can find us both tweeting each other about a celebrity once every so often...

Urika then asked me for my address a few week ago and said that she was going to stalk me in a comical way and then later revealed that she was going to send me something... After a week of arguing with Royal Mail, I finally got the package and found out that she had sent me something to enjoy from Lush which I thought was so wonderful and lovely to receive... She also sent a hand written note and I just thought that it was so kind and amazing to do something like that!

Urika is also trekking the Great Wall of China for Coppafeel... She is doing such an amazing thing for such an amazing charity and if you can donate then that would mean a lot! I shall put the link to where you can donate within the links section below.

Urika is an amazing person with such a great blog and you should check it out! It contains some great pieces including a review of the new Cinderella Exhibition that was released for the Cinderella premiere... I hope that you give her some meowing love and I hope that you have a great day and I hope to see you next time!

Give Them Some Meowing Love: Dungarees & Donuts

Meow, so this is going to be the first GTSML or Give Them Some Meowing Love. The point of these posts are to give some bloggers some love and hearty meow along the way. I know this sounds weird but I hope that you enjoy this sort of post. This post is going to be about Dungarees & Donuts or Olivia as shes personally known as. You should definitely read her blog and I'm going to tell you why!

Olivia is a 20 year old student who is a vegetarian. She is from the West Midlands. She blogs about lifestyle. food, fitness and beauty! This kind of sums up why her blog is called Dungarees and Donuts as she loves both and loves fashion and food quite a bit!

I have known Olivia for a bit and she is such an amazing yet fabulous person. We haven't really met up but we are planning something which will blogged about when it happens. I cant wait to meet Olivia as she is such a wonderful person!

She recently did a post about living with mental health and I want to hug her so much for it. The posts that she has done about mental health include living with it and having a boyfriend who helps her when things aren't great.  I couldn't relate more as I have depression and anxiety but I want you to read the post and comment something wonderful on the post to show your love!

I know that this has been a bit of a random rambly post but you need to go check out her blog as it is amazing. I can't wait to meet her and I cant wait to read more of her posts as they are always so great.
I hope that you have liked this post and I'll see you next time where I'll be sharing some more meowing love!

Nouveau Lashes Event at Malmaison Hotel - #LashesLive

Meow, so I went to another event this week. This event was hosted by Nouveau Lashes. I had an amazing time and I thought that I would explain and talk to you all about it. I can't thank Nouveau Lashes enough for inviting me to the event!

So, the wonderful Claire Anderson emailed me one day inviting me to a beauty event like no other... It was a lashes event... I don't wear fake lashes but I felt that the event would be more educational for me therefore I RSVP'd saying that I will be coming to the event.

The day arrived and me and Luke set off to Leeds. We went to various places such as The Body Shop and Hotel Chocolat as we had arrived in Leeds a little bit earlier than the invite said... A little bit earlier may be an understatement.

The clock on our phones struck 5:15pm so we decided that it was a good idea to set off to the Malmaison hotel where the event was being held. I knew where abouts it was as I had passed it before. I also knew it was near The Cockpit which has sadly been shut down since September of last year.

Outside the hotel, we found Toni and Kellie. (I shall put their blog links at the end of the post!) We said hi and talked briefly about a lot of things including candles and our choice of clothing... We let them enjoy their cigarette and went inside the grand building. After a short round of ask the stranger(this is where I make Luke talk to new people as I have no clue where to go), we eventually found where we were meant to be and met Claire and then we were escorted to a lounge sort of area...

We then sat down on two soft chairs and was asked if we would like a drink... We said yes as we had been shopping and walking in the rain so we were pretty thirsty... We both chose Appletiser as we were offered a variety of soft drinks but I didn't want to drink caffeine as it sometimes triggers my anxiety and I didn't want that to happen!

After around 5 minutes and some more bloggers arriving, we were then offered a variety of canapes. These included crispy King Prawns with a Thai sweet Chilli sauce and a crispy potato cake things with a mixture of soured cream, cream cheese and chives and a desser of sponge sandwiched together with soft fluffy coconut marshmallows. These were delicious but surprising at the same time

We all then went into the conference room which had stations prepared and seats prepared. We sat down on a seat and took pictures whilst the presentation was setting up... We watched and learnt how Nouveau Lashes came to be and the fact that they use real hair within their lashes... We were also shown a demo on putting on certain lashes with a blogger...

We were then grouped and put to a station where we were given a tutorial on putting on lashes and then we got to do it for ourselves... This already became a difficult task for me... I had never put on fake lashes before and I tried to understand and put them on but it failed and I gave up after a while... There's a first for everything I suppose...

Whilst this was all going on, the wonderful Kellie (Big Fashionista) was getting LVL lashes put onto her which is a new thing to some... If you want to learn more about LVL lashes then go to Nouveaus website (I'll link it!) At the end of the event, Kellie looked magnificent!i shall put some pictures in of during her treatment and the end of her treatment!

We talked to Kellie a bit more as she is an amazing woman and then headed off. We were given a goodie bag with products from Nouveau Lashes and then headed home.

I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post! Have you ever worn fake lashes before? Comment if you have. I hope to see you next time!
