Opening The Box & Falling Into Some Lush Products That Make Us Feel Cosy & Warm | Lush Kitchen September Bath Box

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blood post. I grabbed the Lush Kitchen September Bath Box and I thought that today I would talk to you all about my thoughts on it after using it through the month of September.

This box is centralised around all things Autumnal especially as the start of Autumn is in September and those fragrances that make us feel cosy when the nights draw in and the weather starts to turn during the month of September alongside some retro classics from Lush that the Lush Community (including myself) have been yearning for to return.

A close up light brown square box filled with a plethora of lush products. A clinical plastic bottle full of light brown creamy shower gel with a black rectangular label with Lush turmeric latte shower gel kitchen exclusive in white font next to a small 100 G black pot full of light yellow body lotion with a circular black lad and a circular black label that says wash Chelsie 👓 morning body lotion kitchen exclusive in white font with a golden pear shaped bubble bar with white cream in the middle of it with gold glitter next to a light grey spherical bath bomb with ridged holes all over the front of it with a small cylindrical glass jar full of light right and dark brown lip scrub with a black circular lad with a black circular label that says toffee apple lip scrub Lush in white font on a bright background with a black rectangular card behind it that has a red circle on the front of it with harvesting all your feedback in white font on a bright background

Turmeric Latte Shower Gel

Ingredients:

Coconut and Turmeric Infusion (Cocos nucifera; Curcuma longa), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Organic Agave Syrup (Agave tequilana), Tonka Absolute (Dipteryx odorata), Benzoin Resinoid (Styrax tonkinensis pierre), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Titanium Dioxide, Fair Trade Cocoa Powder (Theobroma cacao), Carrageenan Extract (Chondrus crispus), Xanthan Gum, Coumarin, Eugenol, Colour 19140:1.

If you have been following me or reading my blog for a while then you will know that I am obsessed with the Turmeric Latte scent from Lush.

I purchased the original version of this Shower Gel back in 2019 and have hoarded and rationed the usage of my bottle so when I heard that this shower gel was coming back I was so ecstatic that I nearly screamed.

This Shower Gel contains the iconic Turmeric Latte scent which consists of Vanilla Absolute, Tonka Absolute and Benzoin Resinoid which blend together to create a truly gorgeous rich cosy scent that is full of creaminess and sweetness due to the Vanilla with a touch of smokiness which to me I think comes from the Tonka Absolute which is known for being a little bit smoky and malty and Benzoin Resinoid which gives off a bit of a creamy boozy note when I've smelt it on its own and in some other products.  I also think that the addition of Turmeric Powder helps to enhance the smoky note that's mentioned above and thus pushes that note to the forefront of the fragrance. This boost of earthy smokiness does remind me a lot of the original Turmeric Latte Bath Bomb that was released in 2019 as the product also had a prevalent smoky earthy note to it which was balanced with some sweetness which in all made me fall in love with it upon first sniff.

Alongside the Turmetic, there is a Coconut and Turneric Infusion included in this shower gel which is very similar to the Bath Bomb which contained Coconut Milk Powder. In my opinion, the Coconut lends itself more towards the texture of this supreme Shower Gel rather than the iconic scent. The Coconut Milk creates an utterly luxurious base for the Shower Gel to the point that I think that with both versions of this product Lush could have called it a Shower Cream rather than a Shower Gel.

When you squeeze some of this shower gel out of the bottle and massage it into the skin, it becomes a very moisturising milky lather rather than a serum based lather that a small handful of Lush's recent Glycerine based Shower Gels have had. As someone with dry skin, I absolutely adore the rich nourishing texture of Turmeric Latte Shower Gel. Personally, I think that the formula of this Shower Gel is the best in Lush's arsenal and I think that especially towards the colder months that it should be used in other Shower products even if they are just limited edition for the colder months.

Chelsea Morning Body Lotion

Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Glycerine, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Stearic Acid, Perfume, Triethanolamine, Lemon Myrtle Oil (Backhousia citriodora), Tonka Absolute (Dipteryx odorata), Fenugreek Absolute (Trigonella foenum-graecum), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Cetearyl Alcohol, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamal, Citral, *Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Linalool.

Chelsea Morning has become a viral sensation for a reason! Now it's the time for the Chelsea Morning Body Lotion to shine!

This Body Lotion contains Lemon Myrtle Oil, Tonka Absolute, Vanilla Absolute and Fenugreek Absolute. These ingredients combine together to create a beautifully complex gourmand scent like no other! The Vanilla and Tonka blend together to create a sweet creamy base with a touch of richness to it whilst the Lemon and Fenugreek blend to create a bright yet dimensional and slightly spicy scent. To me, the best way to describe the scent of Chelsea Morning is to say that it's like walking by a bakery first thing in the morning that is full of freshly baked sweet treats that fill the air with a gorgeous deep and complex citrus creamy scent. I guess almost like when you walk past somewhere that has just finished baking Cinnamon Rolls.

The texture of this Lotion is rich and luxurious without being so thick that it's a stiff balm that you have to carve out of the tub to apply it onto the skin. The best way to describe the texture of Chelsea Morning Body Lotion is to describe a softly whipped cream full of gorgeous nourishing ingredients with a beautiful scent that still holds its own weight.

I have been using this Body Lotion on its own and layered with the Chelsea Morning Perfume and it smells phenomenal in both cases. The body lotion speaks for itself. It is moisturising and ensures the skin doesn't feel dry which I need right now with the weather outside and the temperature inside forever changing.

Alongside this, whenever you move any part of your body that you've lovingly smothered with the lotion, your entire being gets reminded sporadically of why Chelsea Morning is the viral perfume that it is. The Body Lotion lasts forever on your skin projection wise but I do have to admit that it is amplified when you let it sink into the skin and then apply the Chelsea Morning Perfume on top. I did this recently before going out to Leeds to run some errands and and to grab some gifts for people and I was asked multiple times what was I wearing because it smelt so good. Great for my confidence and for knowing that layering them together would create a phenomenal scent. Not so much when someone stops you in a very busy Leeds Train Station...

Golden Pear Bubble Bar

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Potassium bitartrate), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Perfume, Lauryl Betaine, Cornstarch (Zea mays), Laureth 4, Cardamom Oil (Elettaria cardamomum), Brazilian Orange Oil (Citrus sinensis), West Timor Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Titanium Dioxide, Fresh Pear (Pyrus communis), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Silica, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 45410, Colour 17200, Colour 77491, Colour 19140, Colour 15510, Colour 45410:1, Makrut Lime Leaf (Citrus hystrix).

Autumn always reminds me of all things spiced and Pear Cider so why not combine the two for one of the most gorgeous bath time treats from Lush?!

I am so glad that Golden Pear has made a feature in this Fall Box! Lush truly delivered when they said Fall Favourite Scents!

For those who are unaware, Golden Pear is a fan favourite retro fragrance from Lush that likes to make a sporadic appearance and then disappear for quite a long time for some relaxation.

This Bubble Bar contains Cardamom Oil, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil and Fresh Pear Puree which blends together to create a deeply spiced Pear scent that has a sprightly bubbly undertone to it. I realise that deeply spiced and sprightly may be slightly nonsensical to state but I guess the best way to describe it is to imagine fizzy Cider bubbling on the stove with Cardamom and Orange Peel infusing its aromatic scent into the wonderfully still fizzy Pear Cider.  If you haven't been able to grab hold of this Kitchen Box then I urge you to go and check out the Gong Shower Jelly from Lush which shares the exact same superb scent!

Not only does this Bubble Bar smell divine for those cold days where you need a warm hug in a bath but it also helps to moisturise and nourish the skin on those cold days as the middle of this gorgeous Pear shaped and scented Bath Product contains a combination of gorgeous Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter that help to moisturise the skin and help to create gorgeous softening bubbles and bath water for when you need a true self care pamper in the autumn time! As someone who has quite dry skin I have always loved Golden Pear due to the skin softening Butters and as the Butters help to create a gorgeous experience I tend to use less than I would normally do when it comes to bubble bars as not only do I know a little goes a long way but also because I want the Bubble Bar to last me as long as possible!

I mean gorgeous spicy notes, gorgeous conditioning butters and gorgeous glitter! Whats not to love?

Metamorphosis Bath Bomb

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Black Pepper Oil (Piper nigrum), Cinnamon Leaf Oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Myrrh Resinoid (Commiphora myrrha), Water (Aqua), Cream of Tartar (Potassium bitartrate), Titanium Dioxide, Cornstarch (Zea mays), Alcohol Denat., Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Lauryl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Tin Oxide, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume, Colour 77499, Colour 47005:1, Colour 15510, Colour 17200, Colour 45410:1, Colour 14700, Colour 45350, Colour 42090.

Metamorphosis is back! It has been so long since I last got to enjoy this beautiful bath bomb in all of its glory!

Metamorphosis Bath Bomb contains Black Pepper Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil and Myrrh Resinoid which all blend together to create a beautiful deep resinous spicy scent in my opinion. To me, the main two scents that come out the most in this Bath Bomb are the Black Pepper and Cinnamon which boast a very deep peppery spicy scent with a bit of richness and sweetness from the Cinnamon whilst the Myrrh helps to create a resinous base which adds a bit of depth to the scent.

Alongside this beautiful scent, this bath bomb creates a beautiful display in the water! When you drop this beautiful bath bomb into the tub, it instantly turns the water a deep sombre grey almost black colour but when Metamorphosis foams and froths a beautiful thing happens! The dark grey waters slowly turn into a technicolour rainbow of colour showing that you should never judge a book by its cover or in this case a bath bomb on its exterior!

I used this recently after being a bit under the weather and honestly it was the best decision I have made in a while. The bath art made me feel a little less miserable and  the oils in this bath bomb helped to rejuvenate my achy bones and strengthened me from the inside out.

I am a little bit bias when it comes to Metamorphosis as when this bath bomb was first released I used it whenever I could as I instantly fell in love with the bath art design and the scent so much so that I still kick myself for not being able to get the Perfume version of this Bath Bomb due to it only being in limited stores for a mere moment of time. I also think that the scent of Metamorphosis would be good in a format for the Holiday range! Maybe a Body Lotion or a Shower Gel? It would be a lovely addition for the cold months!

Toffee Apple Lip Scrub

Ingredients:

Caster Sugar, Fair Trade Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Bergamot Oil (Citrus aurantium bergamia), Carob Resinoid (Ceratonia siliqua), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum austro-caledonicum vieill), Geranium Oil (Pelargonium graveolens), Fine Sea Salt, Malic Acid, Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Flavour, Colour 77947, Colour 15850:1, Colour 19140:1, Colour 42090:2.

Even our lips need some TLC during the Autumn season!

All of Lush's iconic Lip Scrubs contain a base of Caster Sugar which help to scrub away any dead skin to ensure that your lips look soft and replenished. To ensure that the Lip Scrub isn't too stripping, the Toffee Apple Lip Scrub from this Kitchen Box contains a combination of Fair Trade Organic Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter that help to moisturise the lips. As September means the start of nights drawing in earlier and the weather getting colder quickly it is always best to use products that ensure moisture and hydration. I love the usage of Jojoba Oil as it is the closest oil to the skins natural sebum so skin absorbs it a lot easier.

This Lip Scrub contains Bergamot Oil and Geranium Oil, Carob Resinoid and Sandalwood Oil. The Carob and Sandalwood blend together to create a deep molasses rich Toffee flavour whilst the Bergamot and Geranium combine to create a beautiful Apple flavour.

I was expecting this Lip Scrub to be on the sickly sweet side due to the Carob and Sandalwood but this scrub proved me way wrong. In my opinion, the Carob and Resinoid gave off a smoky toffee scent which makes a lot of sense as these two ingredients are also in the much beloved Sticky Dates Gel which shares the same caramelised slightly smoky toffee scent. This combines beautifully with the slightly sour Apple flavour which helps to cut through a touch of the sweetness that the Carob and Sandalwood brings to the Scrub. Not only this but this scrub also contains Malic Acid which is found in a lot of sour products on the market so you get to feel a true lip puckering sensation and flavour with this lip scrub.

This Lip Scrub is fabulous. I know a few of the Lush Community are starting to get a bit deflated with the amount of Lip Scrubs at Lush and Lush Kitchen but as an avid Lip Scrub lover I say bring it on! I also feel like Toffee Apple brings a fresh breeze of Autumnal fabulous to the Lip Scrub game as not only does it make you feel like you're eating a Toffee Apple but also that sourness in the scrub really brings something new to the game! I know that we have had Trick Or Treat which was sour in the past but I think that sour leaning Lip Scrubs from Lush could do really well against the sweeter ones such as Honey and Sticky Dates.

Overall, I think that this box is amazing. There's a mixture of Bath, body and face products that all fit into the vibe of Autumn through the different scents that have been chosen to feature in this box. Alongside that there's a good amount of retro products for those Lushies who like to see that in their Kitchen Box. I think that some of these products featured in the September Box could be moved over to All Year Round at Lush. I've enjoyed this Box so much that I grabbed another one when I saw them at my local Lush store just because I know a few people in my life that would like the Golden Pear Bubble Bar on its own or the Chelsea Morning Body Lotion so it made sense to grab one and gift some of the items from the box.

Lush X Community Body Scrubs 2025 Range

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I’d talk to you all about the Lush X Community Body Scrubs 2025 Range.

If you checked out my previous blog post then you’ll know that I have reviewed both The Comforter and Botanomancy Body Scrubs as Lush very kindly sent these for me to test and review. If you haven’t checked that blog post out then please click here. Due to this, in this blog post I’ll be mainly focusing on the rest of the range.

In the Lush X Community Body Scrubs 2025 Range, there are five beautiful body scrubs. There’s The Comforter, Botanomancy, Creamy Candy, Karma and Posh Chocolate.

A stack of five clinical plastic clear pots in au shape. Each having a different colour scrub and label. All names are written on the rectangular labels in white with lush in white underneath them in small font. Botanomancy is dark green, creamy candy is pink, karma is orange, posh chocolate is brown and the comforter is purple on a light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Creamy Candy

List Of Ingredients:

Caster Sugar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Almond Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Perfume, Vanilla Absolute, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Lauryl Betaine, Alpha-Isomethyl lonone, Colour 45410:2, Colour 17200.

All of the Lush X Community Body Scrubs have a Caster Sugar base which creates a soft squishy body scrub that gently scrubs away dead skin to reveal glowing new skin.

If you haven’t smelt Creamy Candy before then imagine a creamy slightly sweet candy floss scent that instantly reminds you of being a child at a fairground.

Creamy Candy contains Vanilla Absolute and Organic Almond Oil which combine to create a truly iconic sweet scent that has survived the test of time (Creamy Candy has been at Lush since 1995!) I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to the strength of the scent in this particular scrub but I was pleasantly surprised. Sweet and creamy yet not overwhelmingly cloying.

I scooped a chunk of this scrumptious scrub onto my arms first thing in the morning  and was impressed by how it performed. The scrub felt soft on my skin but still had a touch of grit to it so I could feel it working its magic when I was massaging it into my skin. When I stepped out of the shower, I noticed that my body felt glorious compared to stepping in the shower and I could smell a creamy scent on my skin that lingered for a while.

If you’re a fan of candy floss scents or are craving that beautiful Snow Fairy scent all year round then I think that this Body Scrub would definitely be for you! I love both Snow Fairy and Creamy Candy but I have to be in a particular mood to truly enjoy it so I can’t wait to be in that mood so I can crumble a Creamy Candy Bubble Bar up and use this beautiful body scrub!

Karma

List Of Ingredients:

Caster Sugar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Perfume, Illipe Butter, Fair Trade Organic Mango Butter, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Lavandin Oil, Pine Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Elemi Oil, Witch Hazel Extract, Water (Aqua), Lactic Acid, Laurel Betaine, Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 14700.

If you have been reading my blog for a while now then you will know that I adore the Karma scent from Lush so I was thoroughly excited when I heard that they would be releasing a Karma Body Scrub!

If you haven’t smelt Karma from Lush then imagine walking through the markets in your city centre that are full of indie shops where you can smell a mixture of fresh citrus fruit and a mixture of herbal scents such as Patchouli and Pine from incense burning combined together to create a truly unique fragrance.  Karma is inspired by 60’s London and I can totally smell where the inspiration has come from!

I know this is going to be no surprise but I adore this Body Scrub. It is pure excellence for me! I decided to go full out just because I was having a bit of a bad day during the week that I was reviewing these and had an everything shower centralised around the Karma Fragrance. Body Scrub, Shower Gel, Body Lotion, Retro Dusting Powder, Perfume. It was utter heaven and exactly what I needed. I took a good chunk of this body scrub and massaged it all over my body. Whilst massaging, I was instantly hit with the intoxicating scent that is Karma. I inhaled the fragrance, had a moment to myself and washed it off. I know that I had an everything shower but I instantly noticed after using the scrub that my skin felt quite smooth and not tight like it sometimes does after using certain body scrubs. Yknow that sort of oh has my skin not agreed with this scrub/has it actually scrubbed too much skin off feeling? When massaging it into my skin I also noticed a nourishing lather.I’m guessing that I didn’t have this feeling due to the nourishing oils and butters that this body scrub is brimming with such as Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil, Illipe Butter and Fair Trade Organic Mango Butter.

If you’re a fan of the Karma scent from Lush like myself then I urge you to go and try it if you haven’t already and treat yourself to a tub! You deserve it!

Posh Chocolate

List Of Ingredients:

Glycerine, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Fair Trade Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Hazelnut Milk, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocoa Powder, Perfume, Cocoa Absolute, Australian Sandalwood Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Citric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool.

Who doesn’t want to be smelling of delicious chocolate? I mean my stomach hates lactose and even I want to smell like a chocolaty snack! Well if you do too then now is the time as Lush have made it possible by listening to everyone who wants to smell like a rich dessert and have created a Posh Chocolate Body Scrub that pairs beautifully with the Posh Chocolate Body Wash that shares the same scent.

If you haven’t smelt Posh Chocolate then imagine the smell of when you open a jar of a very well known Chocolate Hazelnut Spread but even better!

I used this in a bath before bed and honestly it was one of the best ideas I’ve had in a while when it comes to products and self care. I scooped some and scrubbed it into my skin and not only did my skin feel amazing but so did myself. I just felt comforted due to the beautiful smell coming from the body scrub and the beautiful nourishing oils in this scrub. I did use some on my elbows that get dry quite quickly and noticed that they felt very different and incredibly smooth when I got out of the bath which I was surprised at!

If you’re looking for a nourishing and comforting body scrub to use at night or for a scrub that will leave you smelling delightful then I think that you should check out Posh Chocolate Body Scrub and grab yourself some. If you are giving this to someone as a gift then do ensure that they know that it is for the body and not to be eaten as I’ve had a few family members get confused when I’ve gifted them the Posh Chocolate Body Wash.

these body scrubs are only available at Lush for a limited time so do pick them up before they go!

If you were to choose a scent from Lush that isn’t mentioned in this blog post to be turned into a Body Scrub then what scent would you choose? Let me know in the comments section and on social media as I’d love to know your thoughts!

Spraying The Body Sprays So I Smell Good For That Summer Loving! | Lush Summer Treats Body Spray Range 2024

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you about the limited edition Lush Body Sprays that have dropped as part of their Summer Treats range for the Summer.

In my last post, I focused on Lemony Flutter which Lush kindly sent me it to review on here (thank you Lush) so I have decided to focus on the rest of the range within this post. If you want to read all about my review and opinions on the brand new summer Lemony Flutter Body Spray then do read my last blog post.

All of the Body Sprays are priced at £25. If you want to grab any of the Body Sprays (including Lemony Flutter) that are listed below then run don’t walk to your local Lush store or online as these are only available during August!

A wide angled photo of six black cleaning product shaped bottles filled with body spray with different coloured done labels such as purple, light brown, peach, yellow and orange with passion, peaches, space girl, sticky dates, lemon fluttery and grape soda lush in white font depending on the body spray on a bright background

Grape Soda

We all get a little bit thirsty in the Summer…

This is a brand new Body Spray from Lush and as the name says, the Spray takes inspiration from fruity soda.

This Body Spray contains Juniperberry Oil and Sweet Wild Orange Oil. This combination of oils creates a very fruity scent. To me, it reminds me of the Grape Fanta Cans of American Soda that you can get from American Candy Stores across the UK.  This body spray also shares the same scent as the Big Squeeze Bath Bomb and Vampire Kisses Lip Scrub from Lush.

Honestly, this is a bit of a confusing scent for me. When I sprayed it in store, it took a couple of minutes to develop on my skin so I was unsure on what the smell was reminding me of or if there was much scent at all and then when it kicked in, I grew to enjoy the scent. I think I need to respray it in store to properly tell if I do enjoy it or not but from the dry down, it does remind me of the Fanta Grape Cans and enjoying a cold refreshing can on a hot Summers day. If you like your sweet scents then I think that you will adore this. If you adore Snow Fairy then I think that you will enjoy this scent as to me it does give off a Summery sort of sibling to Snow Fairy. If I was going to pair this alongside other products from Lush then I think I would pair it with Sultana Of Soap or anything The Comforter scented as the berry notes in both would compliment the body spray in my opinion.

A photo of a white hand holding a black surface cleaning shaped bottle containing body spray with a domed purple label with grape soda body spray lush in white font on a bright background

Passion

One spray and this Body Spray will definitely add some passion to your life!

This body spray contains Lime, Litsea Cubeba and Brazilian Orange Oils. Honestly, this is Summer in a bottle to me. Bright and zingy!

When I sprayed it I instantly got that iconic Passion scent from Lush and I did say oh my god quite loudly in store when I sprayed this oops. When it settled on my skin, it did still smell of bright Passion Fruit but I did detect a slight creaminess to it. This may be due to the Litsea Cubeba? The creaminess to me added a bit of depth for the citrus to jump off and ensured that the citrus didn’t instantly flash off my skin which has happened previously with other citrus fragrances which is a shame because I love citrus scents! This body spray doesnt disappoint!

You could pair this with a plethora of items from Lush such as Passion Shower Gel or the Passion Bath Bomb, Sweet Wild Orange Hand Balm, Orange Scrub or Brightside Bubble Bar because well Orange and Passionfruit are beautiful companions scent wise. I did use Passion Body Spray the other day and I did pair it with Tropical Co-Mingle, Bongo Shower Jelly and Passion Shower Gel and oh my god I felt and smelt amazing!

A wide angled photo of a spherical clear plastic tub filled with light yellow body scrub in a circular clear lid with a black circular label with tropical co-mingle lush in white font next to a cylindrical clear tub filled with a cylindrical green and yellow shower jelly with a clear circular lid with a black circular label with bongo shower jelly lush in white font

Peaches

Who doesnt want to smell like a juicy ripe peach?

This body spray contains Sweet Orange, Buchu and Litsea Cubeba Oils, Olibanum Resinoid and Champaca Absolute.

If you remember the Lush X Super Mario Bros Movie Collaboration then you may remember the Princess Peach Body Spray, well she’s back with a brand new name and a glow up!

I did publish a blog post about the Mario Collab so if you want to read all about the previous version then click here

This is very similar to Princess Peach but to my nose this is a little bit fruitier. The old version had a Watermelon note to me that was quite prominent when you first spray it whereas Peaches doesn’t so much. I recently picked up some Peach Hi-Chew’s whilst I was at an Asian Supermarket recently and they smell exactly like the spray!

I would pair this with Thermal Waves, Passionfruit Shower Gel, Peachy Bath Bomb, Brother Moon Bath Bomb and anything Rose Jam. I just think that Peach and Rose go beautifully together!

A white hand holding a black surface cleaner shaped bottle with a peach domed label with peaches body spray lush in white font on a bright background

Space Girl

Time to feel like you’re off into orbit with this Body Spray!

This body spray contains Bergamot Oil., Grapefruit Oil and Almond Essential Oil. Space Girl reminds me of walking into a sweet shop and being able to smell all the sweets. Creamy. Fruity. Sugary. It does have a bit of a Pink Lemonade vibe too. I have enjoyed Space Girl in many iterations and this Body Spray reminds me of the Asteroid City collaboration Shower Gel that was scented in Space Girl the most. Fruity with a big blast of sweet Almond. I adore this scent and I can totally see why it is a part of the Summer Treats range! I would pair this with the Space Girl Barth Bomb that is a part of the I’m Back/Retro/Remind/Archive Wall and the old Very Very Frightening Shower Gel.

A white hand holding a black surface cleaner bottle filled with body spray with a purple domed label with space girl body spray lush in white font on a bright background

Sticky Dates

Sticky Dates Body Spray is back baby! I have done a in-depth blog post about the Sticky Dates Body Spray from when it was last released but I will give a quick sort of run down of this version. (Click here to read about the previous version of Sticky Dates Body Spray).

This body spray contains Carob Resinoid, Benzoin Resinoid in and Sandalwood Oil.

It’s sweet. Its gourmand, it smells like baked goods and is very much going to be an amazing body spray for when the weather gets a touch colder. I was a bit unsure on if the fragrance had been dialled down or changed but nope. This version packs a massive punch and lasts a long time on the skin.i tried the new version whilst I was out running errands in Leeds and I could still smell it by the time I was home and cleansing my face in the evening.

If you haven’t smelt Sticky Dates before then imagine a Sticky Toffee Pudding but in washable form! adore it and love that Lush are putting the scent into different formats! I think that alongside Turmeric Latte, this is the perfect gourmand scent for a special; occasion/date night.

I would pair this with the rest of the Sticky Dates range such as the Body Scrub, Shower Gel and Body Lotion that have been released earlier this year or maybe something like the Honey I Washed The Kids range. I would also be tempted to pair it with Cup O’ Coffee to create a sort of Sticky Toffee Latte situation.

Taking A Skinny Dip In The Tub And Having Sweet American Day Dreams | Lush X Community Shower Gels (American Cream & Skinny Dip)

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. The lovely people at Lush sent me some of their upcoming Lush X Community Shower Gels and I thought that today I would talk to you all about them.

If you are unaware of the Lush X Community concept then let me explain! Lush know that the Lush Community is not only filled with great people but also full of great ideas and to show this they have started Lush X Community. A range of products for people who love Lush chosen by people who love Lush. The way that these ranges work are by Lush allowing people in the Lush Community to choose a number of familiar and well loved scents to go into a category of products (such as fragrances, bubble bars, shower gels) and the most requested win! Lush asked the community to choose what beloved scents should be turned into shower gels and Lush have listened. The six shower gels that have been chosen and will be listed later on in the blog post will be released on the Lush App on the 26th June 2024 and then will go into select stores (Lush Liverpool Spa, Lush Oxford Street and Lush Glasgow) and then will go on the Lush Website.

A photo of a light brown square box containing white eco pops with a black rectangular card behind it that says shower to the people push x community in white font with two cylindrical plastic bottles in front. One containing light pink sparkly shower gel with a black rectangular label with American cream shower gel lush in white font with a black cylindrical lid next to one that contains pale yellow shower gel that looks creamy with a black rectangular label that says skinny dip shower gel lush in white font on a bright background

American Cream

This creamy shower gel is definitely the one that you’ll want to lather yourself in and fall in love with this Summer.

List Of Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Vanilla Absolute, Clary Sage Oil, Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Fresh Strawberry Juice, Fresh Orange Juice, Carrageenan Extract, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Tin Oxide, Alpha-Isomethyl lonone, Coumarin, Linalool, Colour 17200.

I am not sure if you managed to get the references in the little sub title snippet but American Cream is inspired by Grease and America in the 1950’s with their diners and shakes.

The scent of this gel is very much inspired by 60’s America too. To me, American Cream smells like Strawberry Milkshake with a floral undertone. I think I get a floral undertone from the inclusion of Lavender and Clary Sage. I do love to use this fragrance in the Summer time because well Strawberry as a scent always reminds me of my childhood when Strawberries were cheap and in season so I love how Lush have listened to the Lush Community and released this in the height of Summer. Strawberries and Vanilla are the epitome of British Summer Time to me!

The texture of this gel is quite luxurious and creamy which I wasn’t expecting. I was thinking that this was going to be on the runnier side of Shower Gels but to my surprise it really isn’t.I think that American Cream Shower Gel has a lovely thick texture to it due to the Glycerine and Carrageenan Extract that is included in this gel. When lathering this shower gel up, I noticed that it did become more of a creamy emulsion than a bubbly lather which may put some people off but I adore Shower Gels that turn into a creamy emulsion as I know that it means that it is going to be super nourishing for my skin!

I do still have some of the old American Cream Shower Gel from Lush so I decided to find it and compare it to the new Lush X Community American Cream Shower Gel. I wasn’t really expecting a difference because well they are both the same Shower Gel but to my surprise there was quite a difference. Regarding the scent of the old Shower Gel, I noticed that the Vanilla Absolute was the main star of this Shower Gel whilst the other ingredients that make up the scent of American Cream are sort of helping to make the Vanilla Absolute the main star. I think that this may have been the case when this Shower Gel was first released to push the Cream part of American Cream and to show new customers that this truly is inspired by American style Strawberry Shakes. The texture for me is lovely but I did notice that it took a hot minute to get it to lather up into a creamy emulsion whereas the Lush X Community lathers up to a creamy emulsion quite quickly and easily and the main stars of the scent profile of this Shower Gel to my nose are more the Fresh Strawberry Juice and Clary Sage Oils whereas the rest (Lavender,`Vanilla and Benzoin) are in the background to help create the iconic scent that we know as American Cream. The best way I can describe it is that the old version is a little bit more of a Vanilla Milkshake scent with the addition of Strawberries and florals to create a lovely sweet scent whereas the brand new Lush X Community version is a Strawberry Milkshake scent with a creamy and floral undertone.

Skinny Dip

It’s time to strip off and coat your nude body in some sensual shower gel this Summer that it truly craves!

List Of Ingredients: Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Water, Coconut Infusion, Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Fine Sea Salt, Lauryl Betaine, Cold Pressed Murumuru Butter, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Cedarwood Oil, Clary Sage Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Palmarosa Oil, Vetivert Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Alpha-Isomethyl lonone, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Eugenol, Geraniol, *Linalool, Perfume.

This shower gel is truly a blast from the past! This shower gel was first released in 1995 I believe and slowly became a classic hit. The Shower Gel back in the day was slightly controversial for some of the Lush Community due to some textural and emulsification issues. In the past few years Lush have re-released Skinny Dip as a Buttercream in their Lush Kitchen Subscription Box. As this is a OG I totally get why a lot of the Lush Community voted for the Shower Gel to come back! (Yes RuPaul’s Bring Back My Girls popped into my head then and I did change the lyrics in my head to ‘Bring Back My Gels’).

This shower gel is an enigma of a scent to me. A true temptress of the senses. In my opinion, this is a spicy clove forward scent that reminds me of all things warm and smoky with a creamy White Chocolate with a hint of Coconut base. I think I get the Clove instantly and the sort of instant hit of smokiness because I love anything warm and smoky so my nose instantly hunted that out. On first sniff, the Clove and Vetivert made me think of Dear John and to me this gel could be described a bit as the quirky family relative whio doesnt fit in with the rest of the family of Dear John but that’s just me. I did read in previous reviews that this gel smells a bit of Violet which I think is due to the addition of Palmarosa and I do get Violet but not unless I sniff the gel and then really hunt for it. I’d say that Skinny Dip is similar to Magik in the sense of its very smoky with a touch of Violet. I love the creamy base of Skinny Dip as it ties everything together and truly makes me think of a night on holiday. The slight whiff of creamy Coconut which normally comes from Pina Coladas, the smoky fragrances that waft in the air and the slight hit of woodiness from wood burning in the background to create a picturesque atmosphere all in one. Not only will this potentially get you in the mood for a holiday but as this gel truly does smell amazing it may also get you in the mood for other tantalising things like… skinny dipping!

The texture of this Shower Gel to me is Creamy personified. The epitome of creaminess even. I wasn’t sure what to expect when looking at the description and ingredients of Skinny Dip. I did think that this would have the texture of a Shower Cream from Lush which for me were amazing but did have their flaws. I loved how creamy and rich they were but as someone with dexterity issues sometimes I did find it a little bit hard to squeeze some out of the bottle every now and again. I was a bit surprised to find out that this isn’t the case with Skinny Dip when I opened the bottle and tried some. I also researched the old version of Skinny Dip Shower Gel and noticed that it contained White Chocolate and Cocoa Butter which didn’t merge well together with the rest of the ingredients that make up Skinny Dip and thus caused some emulsification and texture issues when using the Shower Gel. This definitely isn’t the case with the upcoming Lush X Community version. This version of Skinny Dip Shower Gel is rich and creamy without being too thick and balm like.I think that the Murumuru Butter and Coconut work well together to create a rich and creamy base without being too heavy when working it into the skin. I have quite dry skin but obviously due to the hot weather and being a bit under the weather right now I want to use Shower products that will moisturise my skin and leave it soft and supple without being heavy and this definitely fit the bill of what I have been needing lately. If you love anything that is spicy or smoky or are in need of a scent that will make heads turn and someone special to shout ‘you smell divine’ on date night then I do think that this is definitely for you. I know that some men can be very particular with shower scents but I think that Skinny Dip would also be a great one for that man in your life due to the Clove, Vetivert and Cedarwood Oils.

These Shower Gels will be dropping on the 26th (this Wednesday), they will also be in select stores (Lush Liverpool Spa, Lush Glasgow and Lush Oxford Street) and then will also appear on the Lush Website. The other scents that the Lush Community chose and will make an appearance on the 26th are Guardians Of The Forest for all your forest fiends, Super Milk for anyone who adores the viral Hair product from Lush, Sultana for all you berry loving babes and Let The Good Times Roll for anyone who wants to smell like a popcorn inspired snack!

Thanks again to the Lush Community Team for sending me these two amazing Shower Gels. They have truly made my week and perked me up whilst I am under the weather!

Will you be picking up any of the Lush X Community Shower Gels? What scents from Lush would you like to appear as a Shower Gel? Let me know down below and on social media.

Thanks for reading!

It’s Time To Perform Magik To Your Mind, Body & Soul | Lush Magik CBD, Magnesium & Adaptogenic Ingredients Range.

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I was recently kindly sent the Magik Range from Lush and I thought that today I would talk to you all about  it.

At the time of writing this blog post, the Magik Range is only available online and on the Lush App and is only available in Europe. I do believe that this range will becoming to European stores/where CBD products are allowed to be sold very soon.

The Magik Range contains a plethora of amazing goodies. This range contains a high percentage of CBD, Magnesium and adaptogenic ingredients such as Shiitake Mushroom, Panax Ginseng and Ashwagandha  to help to relax the mind, body and soul.

A picture of an open light brown square box with a green rectangular card that says Jamie do you believe in magik? In green font with a selection of Lush products including glass rectangular perfume bottle containing clear liquid with a black lid with a rectangular green label that says 4:20 pm in light pink font next to a green spherical bath bomb with a lighter green half that has a yellow hue to it with 420 engraved into the top of it, next to a cylinder filled with that green shower gel with a black cylinder coloured the shower gel has a slight purple hue to it with a psychedelic light green triangular label that says Magik shower gel lush in green font on a brighten ground with a pastel green massage bar that says Magik engraved into it next to a black cyldirncual tube filled with waxy temple balm with a green label that says Magik temple balm in white font next to a cube shaped bath bomb that is two different shades of green with lush CBD engraved into it in a bright background

Magik Bath Bomb

This bath bomb will perform magik and turn your day from being uber bad to super good!

This bath bomb is one of Lush’s Salt Cubes that are designed to help the body due to the addition of Magnesium rich Epsom Salt. This bath bomb contains 64,000mg of Epsom salts to truly help the body feel amazing and soothed. Talking of feeling soothed, this bath bomb also contains 150mg of CBD. Furthermore, this beautiful bath bomb contains Chamomile Blue Oil, Jasmine Absolute Violet Leaf Absolute and Ylang Ylang Absolute to create a truly grounding scent. To me, the scent reminds me of a mixture of a lighter version of Daddy-O from Lush mixed with when you initially spray Kerbside Violet onto the skin, you know before it settles down into the truly iconic grassy violet scent that it is known for being mixed with a touch of the base notes from 4:20 from Lush. As someone who suffers from Anxiety, is forever constantly in pain a lot and has their fair share of rough days, I use CBD a fair amount to ground myself so a high percentage in a bath bomb is kind of my dream come true. I loved this bath bomb, the scent fills the room beautifully. I mean after I was done with my bath, I could smell it across the upstairs of my house for a couple of days after! When I used this bath bomb I did notice a sort of silky layer on top? I was a bit confused but after watching Victoria’s video on the bath bomb I realised that it was the CBD Oil. As someone with severely dry skin, I loved it as I found it super hydrating for me and I have had baths with bath melts that have produced a similar sort of layer but I can see some people being a little put off by this especially if you suffer from sensory issues. I used this after being out for the day which depending on the stress of public transport or spaces being noisy or people bumping into me (it happens more than you would realise especially when I am shopping in Leeds) I was slightly in pain and drained from being stressed out and having an anxiety attack so I decided to use this bomb and honestly I felt replenished. I don’t want to say reborn because that does sound a touch too pretentious but honestly I felt like the world had gone ‘sorry for today being terrible, here’s a little remedy!’ I also struggle with sleeping and after using this bath bomb I managed to actually sleep without waking up several times during the night! I definitely do recommend grabbing one of these bath bombs! Priced at £11.

A wide angled phot of a square cube bath bomb filled with grains of epsom salt with lush CBD engraved into the top dissolving and letting out blue colours into a tub of water on a bright background

Magik Shower Gel

This gel is made for when life just isn’t going your way!

This shower gel isnt only a godsend to the mind but is one to the nose too! This shower gel contains CBD, Glycerine,Fine Sea Salt, Chamomile Blue Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute and Ylang Ylang Absolute. To me, when I compare the scent of this gel against the rest of the Magik range, I notice a difference in the scent. Whereas in the rest of the range the scent has a grounding base followed by a mixture of light and strong Violet notes, this gel has a more punchy and upfront Violet scent. One that I think most people will be familiar with! This shower gel does also containing varying amounts of CBD depending on what size you purchase. If you pruchase a 120g bottle then this size will contain 50mg of CBD, a 280g bottle will contain 125mg and a 580g bottle will contain 250mg of CBD. I recently took this with me to Manchester whilst I went to go and spend a couple of days away seeing my partner and some of my friends and this was honestly a saviour for me. I used this before adventuring around the busy city centre and it stopped me from screaming due to the hustle and bustle of the centre and honestly never knowing if a tram was behind me. This gel truly grounded me and kept me from feeling like death by the end of the day. If you are unsure on the Magik range then maybe grab a 120g bottle off this gorgeous gel and give it a go! You never know when you’ll need it after a long hard day of adulting! Priced at £12 for a 120g bottle, £24 for a 280g bottle and £40 for a 580g bottle.

Magik Massage Bar

Sometimes all we need is a rub down and a wind down.

Who doesnt love a massage bar? They are multifunctional, easy to travel with and do amazing things for the skin! This massage bar contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Calamine Powder, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Moringa Oil, Ashwagandha Root and Siberian Ginseng Infusion, Organic Illite Butter, Magnesium Chloride, Shiitake Mushroom, Organic Jojoba Oil, CBD, Sacha Inchi Oil, Ginseng Root Powder, Chamomile Blue Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute, Ylang Ylang Absolute and Seabuckthorn Oil. I love this massage bar but then again I love massage bars in general! I have been using this Magik Massage Bar on a night to calm me down and it has helped me quite a lot. I use the raised point side for when I ache and the smooth side for when I just want a little bit of moisture. I do tend to use them more as a solid moisturiser rather than a sort of massage bar per se but that’s more because I use them a lot for my back and its a pain to try and self massage my own back really. The scent of this massage bar is more like the Magik Bath Bomb rather than the Shower Gel as I get a big smoky undertone when I smell this and then a hit of Violet rather than pure Violet like I do when I inhale the shower gel. As mentioned above, I love the raised design of this Massage Bar. I love the raised edges for when muscles ache, I love the smooth side for when you just want a quick glide of a massage bar for moisture and I love that it has Magik written on the front as it makes it easier when I am rushing and not realising which massage bar I am grabbing to use which has happened more than I would like to admit. When I have used this before bed, I have noticed that it has been easier for me to unwind. Comparing this to Joints Massage Bar, not only is the scent different for me but I do find it a bit easier to relax and unwind with this one but I think that when it comes to Autumn I may change back to Joints just because I think that ill prefer the earthy patchouli scent when its cold and dark especially as the scent of Magik is sort of light, floral and spring like. This massage bar contains 99mg of CBD and 1500mg of Magnesium Chloride. Priced at £14.

A wide angled photo of someone using an oval ridged massage bar with magik engraved on the top that’s in purple and green on a bright background

Magik Temple Balm

Swipe, inhale, relax!

This temple balm contains Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Candelilla Wax, Organic Castor Oil, CBD, Chamomile Blue Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute and Ylang Ylang Absolute. This temple balm contains 40mg of CBD to help you truly get out of that fight or flight feeling! I have been using this for a while whilst I am out and about and oh my god have I needed it. I am a forever anxious person as you’ve probably grasped by this part of the blog post but going out and about can be really stressful for me no matter what. I have been applying this whilst on the train, whilst out shopping, before meeting up with friends and it has stopped me from well feeling like a huge hot mess. I used this whilst I was out in Manchester this weekend and it calmed me down when I felt like I was on the verge of having an anxiety attack due to the city centre being absolutely packed. I suffer sometimes from sensory issues and this stopped me from honestly wanting to peel my own face off and scream. I know that sounds drastic but honestly sensory issues can be like that for me sometimes. I would definitely recommend everyone grabbing this and whacking it in your everyday bag. If I hadn’t I don’t know how Manchester would’ve gone for me. I also do want to state that even though it is small, I have also been using it slightly like a solid perfume and I have been able to smell the scent of this temple balm for hours after applying it! Priced at £12.

Will you be checking out the Magik Range? Have you tried any of the Magik products already? Let me know down below!

Again, massive thanks to Lush and the Community Team for sending me the Magik Range! I have truly been loving using them and seeing how they work for my anxious neurodivergent non-binary self. The wonderful team did also send me a couple of the 4:20pm goodies so do let me know if you want me to do a separate post on them!

Thsnks for reading!

Lush Easter 2024 Sneak Peek

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The lovely Community Team at Lush sent me some of the Easter products before they drop in store this Thursday and I thought that I’d talk to you all about what I got sent.

a wide angled photo of a swaure ligjt brown cardoabrd box containing a cyldirncial bottle filled worh neon yellow medium thickness body lotuon woth a boack cyldienxal lid woth a balck label thats rectangular that says sticky dates body lotuon lish in whote font next to a cyldielxal short clear plastic tub filled with thick golden brown sugar scrub with a ciryxoar lis that has a cirycoar oabep that says stickybdates sugar scrub in whote font next to a bog boack cyldienxal tub filled worh a dark green turtle shaped shower jelly woth a clear ciruxoar lid woth a black rectangular pavel that says easter turtle shower jellt lush in white font next to w small orange bunnybhewrld bubble bar worh boack features on a beighr sbcoground

Sticky Dates Sugar Scrub

It’s time to scrub that sticky icky feeling off yourself!

Okay so it’s no surprise that I love Sticky Dates. It’s an amazing scent that lasts forever on the skin and just oozes comfort. This superb scrub contains Caster Sugar and Golden Caster Sugar to really help buff dead skin away. This scrub also contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and Argan Oil to ensure that this scrub isn’t too stripping for the skin and to ensure that your skin can be as soft and supple as possible! Argan Oil is quite well known for its soothing and conditioning properties! This scrub also contains Date Syrup, Benzoin Resinoid, Sandalwood Oil & Carob Resinoid. To me, this scrub has a quite sweet scent and it is utterly divine! It reminds me of Sticky Toffee Pudding. The Golden Caster Sugar and Date Syrup do seem to intensify the scent a bit compared to the O.G Sticky Dates Shower Gel. The scrub itself is gorgeous. It’s gritty but not too gritty and a little is needed. I have quite dry skin so I do like to scrub often or have a deep scrub and this scrub worked wonders on my skin. If you’ve tried the Barbie Scrub or the Old Songs Are Waking scrub  and loved the texture then you will love this one as they share the same texture!! If you like sweet scents, sticky toffee or want something comforting and good enough to eat to scrub away dead skin with then I would definitely recommend giving this a go.  Priced at £10 for a 135g tub or £20 for a 290g tub.

Sticky Dates Body Lotion

Well your skin needs to be nourished before that first date during the Easter holidays!

Following on with the Sticky Dates love, for their Easter 2024 range, Lush have released a Sticky Dates Lotion and oh my it is fabulous! I am so happy to be adding this to my Sticky Dates shrine. Yes you heard right, shrine. Don’t judge me! This lotion contains Organic Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil which is rich in Vitamin E, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Organic Illipe Butter to ensure that the skin is truly moisturised. The lotion contains Vanilla Pod Decoction (fun fact, this is actually made in house at Lush), Carob Resinoid, Sandalwood Oil and Benzoin Resinoid. This blend of oils creates a gorgeous dessert scent that reminds me personally of when you walk into a house and you can tell someone has been baking. I love this lotion, it’s light but severely moisturising which is quite hard to achieve! When I’ve used it, I’ve noticed that it sinks into the skin quite easily which is great because I hate it when you have to stand and wait after applying body products to ensure that you’re not left with a greasy feeling on the skin. As mentioned, I adore Sticky Dates so I’ll definitely be layering this with the Body Spray when I go out to make sure everyone wonders what is that gorgeous scent that I am wearing. If you’ve been wanting something that deeply nourishes the skin or want a gorgeous new body product to use when you’re going out out in 2024 then I would definitely recommend picking a bottle up! Priced at £10 for a 100g bottle and £20 for a 250g bottle.

Easter Turtle Shower Jelly

It’s time for this turtle to move from Easter Island to the bathroom!

This shower jelly contains Bladderwhack Seaweed Infusion, Sugar Kelp Infusion, Carrageenan Extract, Myrrh Resinoid, Orange Flower Absolute and Cinnamon Leaf Oil: This blend of ingredients creates a deep Spiced Apple scent to me. The infusions bring a sort of fresh undertone to the scent which pushes the Apple a little bit more the forefront compared to the spiced scent which comes from mainly the Cinnamon that is in this jelly. Bladderwhack and Sugar Kelp are both known for their moisturising properties and they definitely do help to nourish the body when you use this wonderful turtle.  This terrific turtle is massive and a little will go a long way. I use it via just swiping Easter Turtle over my body but if you’re feeling sadistic you can always chop them up into smaller bits. I love the scent of this Turtle but I love anything spicy. Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a fiend for anything flavoured or scented with spices such as Cinnamon. I definitely need to name my Easter Turtle! Leave your suggestions down below! This Shower Jelly shares the same scent as Temptation Shower Gel and Apple Crumble Bubble Bar from Lush and I know a fair few of you miss the Gel so this would be a great replacement if you are missing it! If you’re looking for a cute new shower product or for something that will stimulate and nourish the skin whilst the weather is slowly getting a little bit better or for a product to help the kids wash then I would definitely recommend Easter Turtle! Priced at £14 for a 220g Turtle.

Hot Cross  Bunny Bubble Bar

To paraphrase Bridget Jones, this bubble bar is for when you need to go home and de-bunny!

This bubble bar contains Sicilian Lemon OIl, Ginger Oil, Ginger Powder & Buchu Oil. To me, this amalgamation  of ingredients creates a very spicy scent with a  blast of Lemon and a slight citrusy blackcurrant undertone from the Buchu. I love anything Ginger and Lemon so when I smelt this I was in heaven! I also use Ginger in my baths quite often due to forever being in pain or when I accidentally whack my body when I’m rushing to get out or on a train (this happened last week) as it not only helps to soothe aching muscles but also aids circulation which is great for this time of year! If you’re a Lushie who remembers some of the retro products then you may know the scent of this bubble bar via Gingerbread House or Mercury Retrograde!. Lush decided to use this scent due to a suggestion by xpeachx on Discord so here’s my suggestion, Lush put this scent into a Shower Gel or Body Spray please! If you’re looking for something warming and to help you destress during the Easter time then I do really recommend this Bubble Bar. I’d also recommend screaming into the tub whilst you crumble it if you need to! Priced at £5.

Thank you so much to the wonderful Community Team and Finley for sending me these amazing goodies before they drop in store! We Stick Together In This Community! | Sticky Dates Body Spray from Lush X Community Fragrance Range

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The wonderful people at the Lush Community Team including Finley sent me one of the new fragrances from the upcoming Lush X Community Range and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

And why did an uncle photo of a big black spray bottle with a white dorm, engraved into the front of the bottle with sticky dates body, spraying white big font with Lush, in small white font, with an oval around it on a background of a geometric multi placard on a large, rectangular,, black shelf on a bright background

What is the Lush X Community range? The range is a selection of fragrances that will be produced im a small batch for the public that are in popular scents that have been requested by the Lush Community via platforms such as Discord. In this range, there are a selection of both Body Sprays and Perfumes. The Body Sprays that will be available to purchase are Golden Pear, Sticky Dates & Tramp. The fragrances that will be on offer are Creamy Candy, Super Milk (that some of you may know due to the product becoming quite viral on TikTok), Tender Is The Night and  the ooky spooky Toil & Trouble. If you like the sound of any of the scents listed above and you want to get your hands on them then you won’t have to wait long. The Lush X Community range is available to purchase on the 21st November on the Lush App and are available to purchase from the Lush Website from 23rd November.

Sticky Dates Body Spray

The wonderful people at Lush gifted me the Sticky Dates Body Spray from the Lush X Community Range.

Sticky Dates Body Spray contains Carob Resinoid, Benzoin Resinoid & Sandalwood Oil to create a truly delectable scent.

When I initially sprayed the Body Spray, I was hit with an intoxicating yet comforting Sticky Toffee scent that is to die for. The sweet Toffee scent was the first sort of note to come to my nose which is mainly from the Carob Resinoid. After a while, the other two notes blend together to create a beautiful scent that is just like the Shower Gel. The best way to explain this scent from when I sprayed until well the next day is to imagine the scent of a sticky toffee pudding that had just been freshly baked. Crisp and charred on the top and gooey and sweet on the inside. The fact that they’ve made a scent that’s so delicious and edible in a fragrance format is truly wonderful!

I did notice that after a fair few hours (around the 6-7 hour mark), a distinct smoky yet still toffee pudding scent was happening on my skin which I adored. I guess in regards of comparing this to other Lush scents, imagine The Experimenter mixed with Sticky Dates.

A wide angled photo of a clear cylindrical large bottle filled with golden brown shower gel with a gold rectangular label that says sticky dates shower gel lush in white font next to a big black spray bottle filled with body spray that has a dome etched in white on it with sticky dates body spray in white font with lush in smaller font with an oval around it with a geometric multicoloured placard behind it on a black rectangular shelf on a bright background

The lasting power of this Body Spray is truly amazing! I sprayed it at 9 in the morning and I could smell it by midnight. I had ran about, caught trains, used other scents on my body and done a plethora of other things and I could still smell it quite clearly and strongly on my body. I did also spray it on the top of my T-shirt that I wore whilst I was away at the beginning of the week (which is when I decided to review Sticky  Dates Body Spray). I haven’t fully sorted my bag out but every time I open it I get a massive whiff of the Body Spray which I truly adore.

Now I know what all you Lushies are thinking! Is it similar to any other scents? Honesty not really. The nearest is say is Yog Nog but even then there is a definitive difference between the two. Yog Nog is more creamy whereas Sticky Dates is rich and comes across slightly spiced. Turmeric Latte could be a good one to layer it with but even then there’s a definitive difference again. Turmeric Latte is comforting yet soft with a sort of Oat Milk note behind it whereas Sticky Dates has an element of comfort but is definitely spiced and ready to party. It also has that sort of toffee cooked for hours note which Turmeric Latte definitely doesn’t have. I do love both of them though. I guess the easiest way to describe it is via the analogy that I’ve made previously in the post.

Would I recommend you buying it? Oh my god definitely. It’s Winter in a Body Spray bottle. It’s Gourmand. It’s a pudding that you can wear. It’s a scent that strangers will  compliment you on. Trust me, it happened to me. If you like the Sticky Dates scent at all then buy it as soon as it drops on the app or online. I can totally see why it has been released into the Lushiverse!

(I haven’t been told the prices of these fragrances so you’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out!)

Again, thanks to Finley and the Community Team for sending me this Body Spray! Will you be picking up any of the Lush X Community Fragrances? Let me know down below!

Lush Christmas 2022 Range - Body, Lip Care, Candles & Fragrances

 Hey everyone1

Welcome to a brand new blog post! With Christmas being around the corner, I thought that I would continue the Lush Christmas range blog posts. I may have left it late but late is better than never. I thought that today I would talk to you all about the rest of the range including body products, lip products and fragrances.

A photo of a large rectangular glass bottle filled with light brown liquid with a black cap and a rectangular black label with turmeric latte perfume,e lush in gold font on a bright background

Body:

Fairy Dust Dusting Powder

It’s always good to sprinkle a little bit of Fairy Dust at this time of year. Fairy Dust is a staple at this time of year. If you are not familiar with Dusting Powders then imagine a bottle of powdered goodness that can be used to nourish the skin after a bath, used to help stop chafing or used to add a little bit of sparkle and an amazing scent to someone’s day. This dusting powder is scented with Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk and smells like Pear Drops mixed with Candy Floss. To me, I use these mainly to stop chafing when out and about and boy do they do the job! I’d suggest this for anyone who loves Snow Fairy as they may not know about the Dusting Powders from Lush or for anyone who is out and about a lot. Priced at £9 for a 70g bottle.

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner

Let’s not be dry this year. A product that has been on the Christmas shelves of Lush is back for another year. If you’re unsure on what a Body Conditioner is then imagine sort of a Body Butter that you apply and wash off in the Shower. I guess a final Shower step to ensure that you stay soft and supple all day long. I love this as it saves me time when I am in a rush in the morning. Scented with the Snow Fairy scent which consists of Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk to create a sort of sugar Candy Floss like scent. If you know someone who loves Lush but doesnt have a bath tub then this may be a good gift for them. Priced at £10 for a 100g tub.

Snow Fairy Body Lotion

Snow Fairies have to be soft and supple too! Who doesnt love a good body lotion when it comes to having a full on pamper session? I have quite dry skin so I am partial to a Body Lotion or a Massage Bar. This is a brand new product for 2022 but I am quite surprised that it hasn’t been brought out before. Scented with the Snow Fairy scent which consists of Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk. I quite love this product and I love the slight glimmer of shimmer that is in this body lotion too. If you know anyone who loves Snow Fairy including yourself then I’d recommend trying this product out although for me it did take a bit of a while to sink in which I know may be a problem for some. Priced at £10 for a 100g tub.

Candles:

Snow Fairy Candle

Who doesnt love a good candle? People have been demanding Lush to create Candles for years and now they have listened. This Candle contains Castor, Coconut and Rapeseed Waxes and Coconut Oil with the addition of Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk to create Lush’s iconic Snow Fairy scent. I love that Lush have created candles but my personal problem with this candle is that it could be stronger in terms of scent throw/pay off but that’s just me. I know that candles are a favourite gift for most when it comes to Christmas so this could be a perfect gift for a significant other/friend who is a bit indecisive when it comes to choosing a gift like myself. Priced at £12.

Snow Fairy 4 Wick Candle

The bigger the candle, the bigger the burn? Just like the above candle but bigger and with more wicks so this one will be short. This is massive and would make for an amazing gift for a friend who loves Snow Fairy or is forever buying candles because they would look pretty somewhere in the house. This candle is also giving very much Jo Malone/Aldi Hurricane Candle vibes. Priced at £36.

Lip Care:

Coconut Iice Lip Scrub

Brrrr. This lip scrub is new for 2022. This scrub contains Caster Sugar, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Jojoba and Extra Virgin Coconut Oils, Coconut Milk Powder, Fir Balsam Resinoid and Vanilla Absolute. Not only does this scrub without stripping the moisture due to the addition of the Coconut Milk Powder but this lip scrub to me smells like Milkybar White Chocolate. Weird, I know. I quite like it due to this as I was expecting it to pretty much taste a little bit like Furze but to get creamy white chocolate was a pleasant surprise. Priced at £6.50.

Cinnamon Stick Lip Oil

Who doesnt like a thick Cinnamon Stick? Winter can make our lips dry. To stop this, Lush have create a light yet nourishing Lip Oil. This Lip Oil contains Organic Castor, Linseed and Jojoba Oils, Sunflower and Candelilla Waxes, Cinnamon Leaf, Brazilian Orange and Patchouli Oils. To me, the taste of me reminds me of a sweeter Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar or a very warming sort of sweet yet spiced hot drink. The Oil is light and nourishing and not greasy which I adore. Definitely one to stock up and use during the festive season. If you like spicy scents like myself then you will definitely enjoy this Priced at £5.

Salted Caramel Lip Scrub

Let’s spread that Salted Caramel all over our lips and lick it off. When I heard this was dropping this year, I was intrigued because well I love salty and sweet things. This Lip Scrub contains Caster Sugar and Golden Caster Sugar, Organic Jojoba and Argan Oils, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Extra Fine Sea Salt, Sandalwood Oil, Carob Resinoid, Benzoin Resinoid and Cocoa Powder. Anyone that knows me knows that I complain that most Salted Caramel products doen’t have enough Salt in but with this product I can actually taste and feel the Salt. Is it Salted Caramel to me? Not really. Does it remind me more of Sticky Toffee? Yes which I think comes mainly from the Carob Resinoid. This product also does share the same scent as Sticky Dates Shower Gel and to me that screams Sticky Toffee to me. Priced at £6.50.

Snow Fairy Lip Jelly

Spread that Jelly real smooth! A new product for 2022. To me, when I first heard about this product I was a bit confused on what a Lip Jelly is. After trying it, a Lip Jelly is pretty much a sort of more glossy version of a Lip Balm. This Lip Jelly contains Organic Castor Oil, Glycerine, Berry Was, Persian Lime Oil, Cold Pressed Raspberry Seed Oil and Raspberry Juice. This to me still tastes and smells like Snow Fairy even if it doesn’t have the Synthetic Musk in it. I wasn’t sure about the texture when I first tried it but now I adore it. I also love that it leaves the lips with a slight pink tint and I can just apply it on the go for when I want a bit of nourishment, colour and a pick me up in regards to my gender expression. Priced at £8.

Fragrances:

Fun Times Body Spray

Let the fun times begin! I love a good Body Spray. Beautifully scented and easy to take on the go. This new Body Spray contains Brazilian Orange and Sicilian Red Mandarin Oils to create a vibrant and uplifting Orange scent. I think that this Body Spray is meant to emulate the Satsuma that some of us receive at the bottom of our stockings. To me, this reminds me more of Calacas/Zesty but with Orange rather than pure Orange which I still love but when there is more than one type of Orange in a product I was expecting it to be pure Orange. The creaminess that comes across in this Body Spray took me a while to get used to but now that I am used to it I love it and have been using it off and on all festive season long. Priced at £25.

Snow Fairy Body Spray

Spritz, spritz. This is definitely the Body Spray that would cause an uproar if it was discontinued. This body spray has become associated with Lush Christmas for a fair few years now.  This Body Spray contains Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk which creates a scent that reminds me of a mixture of memories with friends, pear drops and bubblegum. I actually need to see how much of this spray that I have left in case I need to stock up on it as I do like to use it now and again. I do also have friends that are obsessed with this Body Spray and has to buy it every year no matter what. Priced at £25.

Turmeric Latte Perfume

Baby, it’s cold outside so lets warm up with a terrific Turmeric Latte! Okay so I may be a bit bias but I adore this fragrance. I love all of the Turmeric Latte products that Lush has created. I still have some of the Shower Gel and Body Spray left which I use very sparingly. This perfume contains Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute and Vanilla Absolute. With the Tonka and Vanilla, you would expect it to be sickly sweet but it is not. This perfume to me is the combination of all things baked mixed with smoke. I love it. It’s not too smoky. It’s not too sweet. To me, its the scent id expect to smell when the protagonist of a Christmas movie (maybe the main man in the new Falling In Christmas) wears on a date night., Rich, smoky, complex and all round amazing. I was kindly gifted the 30ml bottle of this by the wonderful Betty at Lush White Rose as I was going on about it and how I was surprised that it is the only perfume and not body spray that has been released for this range. I may do a full review of this perfume when I have the time but that may not be until 2023 so I am not sure if there is much point in doing so. Priced at £30 for a 30ml bottle.
