Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide Body Cream Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently saw that Garnier had a new product out and that it was on offer at Boots so I went down to my local Boots and grabbed some. I thought that today I’d talk to you all about my thoughts on it.

A long shot of an open white and blue cylindrical tub with garner skin food cocoa and ceramics in white with an circular lid of the same colours next to it on a bright background

‘Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide contains ingredients of 97% natural origin. This fast absorbing butter hydrates up to 10 layers deep and provides an up to 48h repairing effect. For very dry skin types.

Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide is formulated for normal skin and enriched with two powerful key ingredients! Cocoa is known for its extra nourishing properties & Ceramide is a powerful skin supplement known for its repairing properties.

This powerful body butter leaves the skin feeling instantly hydrated, up to 10 layers deep*, for results you can feel and provides up to 48 hour hydrating repair. With ingredients of 97% Natural Origin - this product is a vegan formula. All Garnier products globally are officially approved by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny Programme, the leading organisation working to end animal testing worldwide, and the recognised Cruelty Free Gold Standard.’ - Garnier UK.

List of ingredients:

AQUA / WATER, GLYCERIN, ISOPROPYL PALMITATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, GLYCERYL STEARATE SE, CETYL ESTERS, THEOBROMA CACAO SEED BUTTER / COCOA SEED BUTTER, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, 2-OLEAMIDO-1,3-OCTADECANEDIOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CITRIC ACID, CARAMEL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE

The scent of this product is quite clean and creamy. As the product states, this product consists of mainly Cocoa Butter and Ceramides. Due to this, the scent is pretty much just Cocoa Butter which I adore. Cocoa Butter to me always reminds me of cold Winter days and baking. I'm not sure why but it just does so the scent of this cream to me is very nostalgic and soothing which if I am applying this product at nighttime then I am more than fine with that. In the morning, this scent is a great creamy base for me to jump from in regards to the perfume that I want to wear that particular day.

The texture of this product is quite an unusual one to me. When I scooped it out of the tub, it was quite thick which I expected due to it being for very dry skin which is definitely my skin type. (I am pretty sure I was a lizard in a past life with the dry skin that I have). When I massaged it into my skin, it stayed the same texture and took a while to sink in which again I expected due to the creams and oils and how my skin is. However, when it sank into my skin, I realised that it had set into a slightly matte finish which I wasn't expecting but I really liked it as it meant that I didn't have to be worried about the cream sticking to clothes or anything like that which I have definitely had before with other body creams.

When I have left it on during the night, I have noticed a severe amount of difference in my skin! I think with how much you get in the tub as well, you can use this on a regular basis to ensure that your skin stays hydrated. I mean that is definitely what I have been doing and I have been loving it as I can tell how great my skin feels. I think that one of the reasons that my skin has felt so good when I have used this product is due to the addition of Ceramides as these help the skin massively and have done whether it be body or face when I have used a product that contains Ceramides.

Will I buy this again? Oh definitely! A massive tub of creamy goodness that makes my skin feel gorgeous? Who would decide to skip on that? I am intrigued to try one of the other versions of this product once I am done with the Cocoa and Ceramides one just to see what they are like These are definitely worth a try to anyone who is a bit unsure on purchasing one. I even got mine on offer in Boots whilst I was just in to have a look at some other products. 9/10.

Have you tried this product? Let me know down below.

Let's Pound It Into Our Faces! | Poundland #6 Skincare Review

Hey everyone!

How are you doing today?

Welcome to a brand new post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about, the No 6 range from Poundland. I've been reviewing it for a while and I thought that it was time to tell you my thoughts on the range.

#6 Anti-Ageing Day Cream

Yes, I know, I'm 22 and I don't need anything that has Anti Agin or Anti Wrinkle... Saying that, are two words on a box going to stop me from trying a beauty product from Poundland? Hell no!

This oroduct states that, it will fight visible signs of ageing with Collagen, Ceramides, Sweet almond oil, Algae extract & Vitamins A & E.

When applying it, it spread very easily and felt like a slightly water based cream. This is mainly expected from a day cream, as a night cream is thicker. I enjoyed this as it meant that I could apply it quickly first thing in the morning before a busy day. When the product had settled, it felt quite matte, but didn't feel dry. That sounds weird, I know, but I thought that this was great as it meant that I knew that it had settled down on my skin but that it wasn't going to dry my skin. This meant that for cold days, I knew that this would be great. I used this for a good month, and honestly, I loved it. It made my skin feel smooth and like I wasn't waiting hours for an expensive cream that boasts to do everything but actually does nothing to sink into my skin.

Now, the product does claim to have Sweet Almond Oil, which should give it a sweet smell. Sadly, I didn't think that this was the case with the #6 Day Cream. It smelt more of Baby Powder than anything else.

#6 Eye Masks

I love a good under eye mask. Well, I love any eye products. Anything to make my eyes look like I've actually slept within the past month, instead of anxiously thinking about the real life nightmares within society and my life, are always a godsend.

Sadly, I can't find any details about them online, so I'm just going to dive straight into my opinion.

These were slightly more watery than I was expecting. I've only really used the gel ones. These stuck on really well but honestly, I didn't feel much results. My eyes did feel more hydrated but I'm not sure if that was because of the masks or, because well, the water was just hydrating my eyes. You do get at least 6 pairs of these in a pack which is a great price compared to most eye masks on the market!

#6 Anti-Ageing Eye Cream

Everyone needs an eye cream in their life. The under eyes are one of the thinnest skinned parts of your body, so, we should all be taking extra care of them.

This product states that, it fight visible signs of ageing with Collagen, Ceramides, Algae extract & Flaxseed oil.

Again, this has a very watery texture... Thinking about it, it might be the Algae extract that is in all of the #6 Range. It is very cooling and is wasy to apply. The product does come in a nozzle based bottle which means that you can dot some straight onto the eyes, or control the amount that you're putting on via putting it on your finger and then applying it to the under eye area. I love this one, but my main critique with it is, that I wish it contained some Caffeine or something to help cover up under eye dark circles to make it a powerhouse item to use when getting ready in the morning. I do love it though and it is amazingly priced for only £1.

Sniffing The Scent Of New York | Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Men

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought, that today, I would talk to you all about another amazing fragrance, that I've been loving at the moment. Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Men.

If you can cast your mind back to the beginning of the year, I wrote a blog post about the amazing Limeyard within White Rose Centre. The person that I brought along to the event, was wearing this exact scent, so, the following week, I decided to check it out with another great female friend within Boots. Whilst we were slowly making our way through the thin white aisles, we found our way to the scent, and I realised that it was on offer! I uhmed and ahhed, and after a while, I bought it due to the gift set of the fragrance being on a great offer.

A thick silver metallic tin with a black interior with 212 VIP Men engraved into the left hand side of the tin with Caroina Herrera on the front in smaller black font with a tall rectangular silver metalic bottle with a square silver lid with 212 VIP Men in black medium sized font next to a triangular long black bottle with 212 VIP Men Bath and Shower Gel NYC in white font with Carolina Herrera in smaller white font on a white background.

Top notes: Vodka Zubrowska, Caviar, Lime.

Vodka sounds weird in a fragrance, I know, but it adds a spritzy note to the fragrance, which reminds me instantly of Summer. Caviar adds a deep note to the scent, and Lime adds a refreshing kick which works in tune with the Vodka, to give the fragrance a real Summer vibe, as soon as you spritz this onto the skin.

Heart notes: Hot Ginger, Black Pepper

I love how the Heart/Mid Notes are a complete juzposition of the light and refreshing Vodka and Lime. The Hot Ginger and Black Pepper add a warmness to the scent which cuts against the freshness of the Lime.

Base notes: King Wood, Amber

Wood normally plays a major part in male orientated fragrances, so King Wood being a note which is the last to settle on the skin, doesn't surprise me that much. Amber is a little surprising, but I love how the spiciness of the Ginger and Black Pepper settles down into the warming Amber.

I also got the Shower Gel within the gift set that I received, and it embodies the fragrance, but, I feel like that the Wood is a bit muted, and, the Lime and Black Pepper come out a bit more via the product. It helps intensify the scent of the fragrance, and helps the scent last longer on the skin.

I think that this would be best worn (no matter whether it is worn by a man, woman or anyone in between on the gender spectrum) in either the Autmn season, a warmish evening which is rare in England, or when you need a little pizzazz on a boring day, as it will definitely perk you up.

Have you smelt 212 VIP Men? What do you think? Let me know down below!

Check out Carolina Herrera Fragrances.

Thanks for enjoying this beauty based blog post! I hope that you come back next time for a brand new blog post.

Becoming A Super Being | Being By Sanctuary Spa

Hey!

Welcome to another blog post! The amazing people behing the amazing brand Being By Sanctuary Spa sent me a few goodies to try as I am a Being By Sanctuary Spa Ambassador due to believing in everything that they stand for and I thought that today I would talk to you guys all about them!

Being By Sanctuary Spa are the daughter brand of the well known brand Sanctuary Spa, Being is aimed at young people whereas Sanctuary Spa is known for being targeted towards to those that might be a bit stress and in need of a pamper. Being are all about promoting feminism via catering all of their beautiful products towards everyone no matter what gender, They also work with an amazing mental health charity called The Mix which I think is amazing. They are also completely against animal testing! All of Being By Sanctuary Spa is available within Boots stores.

Being By Sanctuary Spado five different scents. These are Chilli, Mango and Tonka Bean, Hibiscus and Coconut Water, Salted Caramel, Water Lotus and Pomelo, Cloudberry and Lychee Blossom, As there is scents that are sweet such as the Salted Caramel, ones that are fresh like the Water Lotus and Pomelo and ones that are fruity such as the Cloudberry and Lychee Blossom, this means that there is a scent for everyone.

The beautiful brand kindly sent me three products. These included a bubble bath, body butter and a hand cream which are all available at your local Boots.

The Hibiscus and Coconut Water Bubble Bath came in a massive bottle which means that you can luxurious baths whenever you want. The product created so many fluffy bubbles for a bath where all you need is some fluffly bubles, a nice drink and some music. The scent begins with a floral note from the Hibiscus but after a while you get the whiff of a fresher version of Coconut in the sense that its milder than the general Coconut scent that's found within cosmetic products. The scent filled the whole room up and I instantly felt like I was on the perfect beach in somewhere like The Caribbean.

Next up is the Body Butter which is the same scent as above. I loved it for that moment in the morning when I needed some moisture which this definitely did. It made my skin absolutely soft and again this scent lasted ages which I loved as I find that some products don't linger for long and then you don't smell as gorgeous as you did when you stepped out of the door. If you want a scent that is uplifting but also reminiscent of a Summer beach then you should definitely get the Hibiscus and Coconut Water range from Being By Sanctuary Spa which includes Bath Bombs, Body Mists, the products mentioned and much more.

Last but not least, the Chilli, Mango and Tonka Bean Hand Cream.

I don't know if you're like me but I always need a good hand cream because I'm a nail biter which I think is down to my anxiety but I'm not completey sure. This one soothes hands instantly and keeps them soft as a blanket. It's easy to get out of the tube as well which is great as sometimes very thick creams mean that you have to awkwardly squeeze as hard as you can sometimes to get it out of the tube (which reminds me of toothpaste a bit.) The scent is gorgeous even though I was a bit worried due to Chili having not much a scent but more of a tingling sensation when it's been included within cosmetic products whereas this actually gave the product a sort of spicy note which I adored. The Mango gave it a bit of fruitiness and the Tonka Bean which I thought was going to take over the Mango added to the Mango and gave the whole hand cream a rounded scent. I keep applying this a lot because I love it!

Have you tried any of the products from Being By Sanctuary Spa? Let me know down below!

Thank you to the amazing people over at Being By Sanctuary Spawho sent me these gorgeous goodies. Please do check out their products at Boots!

I hope that you've enjoyed this beauty based post and I hope that you come back next time for another post!

Shopping Has Come In Peace | Christmas Gift Guide For Men 2016

Hey! It's time for my last gift guide of the year. I know that I left these until the last minute this year but I hope that you have enjoyed reading them. This last gift guide is all about what to buy the men within your life for Christmas. I am going to start off with a couple of pairs of shoes from Schuh, Guys including myself always need more shoes. I always think no matter male, female or anything inbetween, you can always do with more shoes! The first pair are from the Vans x Toy Story range so these trainers instantly make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves Disney or Toy Story. These trainers have pictures of the aliens on which I find so cute. Ooooooooooh click here to find out more about the trainers.
The second pair from Schuh are Dr Martens 14 Tie Z Boot Boots. I love them due to tallness of the boot. They're definitely a great gift for anyone who loves Dr Martens or for anyone who loves a good boot. They're quite expensive but worth it. Click here to find out more about them.
This one is from Debenhams. It's slightly boozy but I think that it is a great gift. It is a Jim Beam gift set which contains a 5cl bottle of Jim Beam Bourbon and a petrol bottle shaped hip flask which I think is an amazing gift for anyone who loves their Bourbon or are an avid petrol head. Come and find out more about this gift set here.
The next couple of items that I am going to talk about are from the brand Vercity who have a store within Queens Arcade in Leeds. The first item from them that I am going to suggest is the blue canvas backpack. I love anything that is blue. It's sturdy and can hold a lot of items within it so its a great bag for things such as work, events, travelling to various places or anything of that sort. Click here to find out more about it.
I am also going to feature the Charcoal Grey Vintage Weekend Bag as I love the colour of it, I love how big it looks and honestly I would buy it as I know whoever got this would use it as much as they can. Click here to find out more about it.
Second to last brand! Avaj who specialise in underwear, beauty and much more. They also have a store in Headingley! I had a good gander on the website and loved the colour Wicked Green so both of the products in this gift guide are in Wicked Green but do have a look on their website for everything that they sell. Product number one is a Jockstrap in Wicked Green for anyone who loves them. I just think that they give great support and make anyone feel confident. Click here to find out more.

There is also the green beauties that are the boxer briefs which might suit the men who don't want to show their butt off. I still think that they support quite well and make a difference from the general black/white ones that they have. (There is only the small left of these sadly.) Time for the last brand! Lord Byron Shoes are a brand that are based within Manchester who create bespoke shoes. I've featured this and Schuh as I think that they are both on the opposite sides of the shoe spectrum. The first pair are a pair of tan brogue boots. I love brogue boots as they are a slightly more sartorial version of the normal boot and I think that they are best for this time of year really. Click here to find out more.
On Wednesdays, we only wear Pink! Pink is for everyone and looks amazing via these wholecut oxford brogues which will add a bright splash to any outfit. Click here to find out more.
Final item in the gift guide! These tan and blue brogues add a slight splash without being as bright as the shoes above therefore these are perfect for someone who's a bit hesitant on being bright. These will go well with whatever you pair them with. Click here to find out more.

Have you or are you interested in purchasing any of the above as gifts for others or for yourself? Let me know down below!

That's the last of my gift guides for 2016. I hope that you don't leave any of your present purchasing until the 24th. I hope that you come back for another blog post.

3 Little Tips To Help Out Money Saving Students

Hi,

If you follow me on any social media platform then you will know that I am always getting some sort of offer or deal so I thought that it was time to reveal how I find these deals especially as I know that soon people will be going to university and you may need these tips!

All rights of photo is O2's. (http://www.o2.co.uk/)

1: Being A Student.

This may seem obvious but some people forget that simply being a student will get you a discount on certain stuff. If you sign up to UNIDAYS online then you can instantly get discounts on places online which will help when you have an online shop to do or when the student loan comes in and you head for online shopping! The other thing to acquire is an NUS card. This will come in very handy during your time within university. Simply showing this within a store can get you some sort of benefit such as free food or a discount. (I'll link the site on the words so you can go and find out more!)

2: O2 Will Become Your Best Friend.

I honestly can't thank O2 enough. I'm not advertising them but they will help you out quite a lot if you're a student and you're on their network. If you don't want to go onto their network then that's fine. The Priority App thats available to O2 customers will help you out so much. Theres normally something cheap or free on there within the week so if you need something to help you out then you can check the app and then go and get it. There's a reoccurring Caffe Nero free drink offer on every Tuesday at the moment which means you can have a pick me up on Tuesday if an essay deadline is on a Wednesday or within that week or a catch up with a friend over a free drink. It has helped me out so much this year!

3: Oops. It Will Help!

Go into your store. I'd say quite lateish (unless you want a good sandwich offer from Boots then go around 4ish?) and search around to see if there is anything on reduced. Reduced may seem icky but it works and honestly it will help for when you're getting sick of eating the same thing but only have a couple of quid for something to eat.

Do you do any of the above? Let me know down below!

I hope that you have enjoyed my three little tips for surviving for when things get tough on the money side within college/university/whatnot. I hope that you come back for more posts!
