Lush Easter 2022 First Impressions

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I recently went out to Lush as I saw that they had released their Easter range so I thought that today I’d tell you all what I thought about the range.

A wide shot of a light brown table filled with bottles and light brown rectangular boxes filled with bath products on a bright background

Bath Bombs:

Disco Duck

Who doesn’t love a good disco? This bomb is a great way for anyone to celebrate Easter. Not only does this bath bomb look amazing but it also smells amazing! This bomb contains Juniperberry, Persian Lime and Rosemary Oils and Guarana Seed Powder which helps to wake you up due to its caffeine amount. The mixture of ingredients creates a sort of uplifting scent to me. This is furthered by the inclusion of popping candy and menthol crystals which help to wake you up/keep you energised through the sound of the popping candy and the invigorating properties of menthol. To me, it reminds me of a more fresh version of Vapor Rub. Yes I know that sounds weird but I urge you to sniff it and tell me different. This scent also shares it scent with an old product called Patty On which was a shower jelly designed to help you stay alive and alert for the all night party, to help you with the hangover the morning after or both! Even if it does smell like Vapor Rub, I really like this product. Priced at £4,

A selection of light yellow and green ducks with geometric cutouts on the side in a rectangular light brown box with a black card next to it saying Rico duck in white font on a bright background

The Flying Carrot

Let’s go fly a kite! This is one of the most adorable bath bombs ever! Who doesn’t love a bunny flying across the world in a carrot? This bomb contains Sicilian Lemon, Lemon Myrtle and Rosewood Oils and Carrot Powder. There are many fun surprises with this product, from the popping candy hidden beneath the surface of this product to this product actually being two different bath bombs. That’s right! The little bunny in this product can be used as a separate bath bomb. This product also shares its scent with the old Refresher Shower Jelly which I adored when it was out in stores! If you’re looking to give someone a gift this Easter, I would really recommend this product! Priced at  £6.50.

A group of orange rocket shaped bath bombs with a white small bunny shaped bath bomb in the middle on a light brown rectangular box next to black card that says the flying carrot in white font on a bright background

Follow The White Rabbit

Let’s follow the white rabbit and see what they’re up to! This bath bomb was out last year so I am going to keep this one short. This bomb contains Bergamot, Buchu and Sicilian Lemon Oil. This product also contains a plethora of colours and a pinch of Popping Candy. If you used to like the Snowman Shower Jelly/Bunch Of Carrots Bubble Bar then you’ll love this bomb as much as I do. Priced at £4.

A range of white bunny shaped bath bombs with different colours splashed all over them in a rectangular light brown box with a black card saying follow the white rabbit in white font on a bright background

Flamingo Egg

Let’s go-go-flamingo! I’ve talked about this product before too. This product contains Sicilian Lemon and Vetivert Oils and Labdanum Resinoid which to me creates a sort of sweet coconut scent. This bomb also contains Coarse Sea Salt to add a bit of fun to bath time. Priced at £5.

A group of big pink oval shaped egg shaped bath bombs with yellow pieces in the middle of it in a rectangular light brown box next to a black portrait card with flamingo egg in white font on a bright background

The Golden Egg

I want my geese to lay gold eggs for Easter!

I have talked about this a lot on the blog. This bomb not only looks the part but smells the part too! This product contains Brazilian Orange and Bergamot Oils. I have loved this product for years but no more. Sadly this product has been reformed too much for my liking. It’s a lot smaller, muted in scent and doesn’t have the oil layer that made it one of the best bombs ever. I wish that Lush would change it back. If you do want a great oil based bath bomb from lush I would definitely recommend Turmeric Latte. Priced at £4.50.

A row of small egg shaped bath bombs coated in gold glitter in a rectangular light brown box next to a black portrait rectangular card that says golden egg bath bomb in white font on a bright background

Bubble Bars:

The Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny had arrived and they are ready to hop into your bath! This bubble bar contains Grapefruit, Lime and Juniperberry Oils which creates a sort of spicy yet fruity scent to me. This shares the same scent as Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar that has been a Halloween exclusive in the past. To me, this scent is more spicy with a touch of spritz to me which is weird as you’d expect it to be the other way around due to the mixture of Lime and Grapefruit.  This one definitely is eye catching in store due to the amount of glitter that this beautiful bunny is encased in. Absolutely adorable. Priced at £6.

A selection of light bronze glitter covered flying posed bunnies in a light beer own rectangular box with a black card next to it saying the Easter bunny in white font resting on a light brown text resting on a light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Shower Gel:

What’s Up Doc? Shower Gel

I mean, is Easter truly Easter without a nod to the cartoon classic? This shower gel contains Fresh Carrot Infusion, Bergamot, Lime and Cold Pressed Carrot Oils, Violet Leaf Absolute and Carrot Juice. I wasn’t sure what to think when I saw this list of ingredients but this concoction creates a sort of slightly sort of zippy berry scent which I absolutely love as it’s deep but has a little bit of lightness to it which makes it the most superb shower gel to use in Spring. Definitely would recommend as a purchase before it disappears after Easter. Priced from £7 per 100g.

A row of cykdircal shower gel bottles filled with orange and slight hot pink liquid with a black cylindrical lid and a black rec5nwfilsr label with what’s up doc? Shower gel lush in white font with a bottle standing on a wooden light brown square with the rest on a light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Gummy Bear Shower Jelly

I love sharing a shower with a good bear… Grr… Is it bad I instantly had Ginger Minj’s song about Gummy Bears in my head when I saw this product? This bear isn’t just divine to look at but also smells it too. This Shower Jelly contains Fresh Mango Juice, Buchu, Cardamom, Litsea Cubebba and Sweet Wild Orange Oils and Coconut Milk. The main scent that I Get from this is Mango but a sort of complex Mango. Not too sweet, not too tart with a slight herbal grassy note to it which just makes me love it even more. The addition of coconut milk means that I know that it is going to be severely nourishing which I love due to having severely dry skin. Priced at £5.50.

Soap

Flowering Carrot

Flowering for Spring? Groundbreaking. I love Lush’s Soaps and well Spring is normally full of touching things so Lush releasing  a cute Spring/Easter soap just makes sense. This soap contains Bergamot, Buchu, Sicilian Lemon, Fair Trade Olive Oil, and Extra Virgin Coconut Oils and Carrot Powder. This mixture creates a lovely bright and uplifting soap. The Lemon and Bergamot make this soap super zesty. If you have used anything with the Carrots scent then you will love this. This also reminds me of the original Carrot Soap that contained a engraved white rabbit in each slice. Prices at £6.

A shot of a bunch of petal shaped orange coloured pieces of soap that look like a carrot slowly blooming out joined together in a circle to look like a flower with a whole in the middle in front of a light brown table on a bright background

Body

Down The Rabbit Hole Scrub

Who doesn’t want to go down the rabbit hole? I love a good scrub! This scrub contains ground rice which helps to scrub away all that dead skin, Cocoa, Shea and Illipe Butters to help keep skin super smooth. This scrub also contains  Bergamot, Buchu, Grapefruit, Sweet Wild Orange  and Cold Pressed Raspberry Seed Oils. To me, the Raspberry Seed comes out the most. The mixture of everything else creates a bubblegum sort of scent to me and mixes with the Raspberry to create a sort of Blue Raspberry scent. I can’t wait to use this when the weather gets warmer. Priced at £8.50.

A wide shot of a light brown rectangular box containing a group of white and slightly pink rabbit backside shaped body scrubs with red bits running through it with a black card saying down the rabbit hole body scrub in white font on a light brown table on a bright background

Lips

Funfetti Cake Lip Scrub

Let them eat cake! Who doesn’t love a good lip scrub and well who doesn’t love cake? This scrub contains Caster Sugar, Extra Fine Sugar, Peach Kernel and Sicilian Lemon Oils and Vanilla Absolute. To me the Vanilla Absolute comes out a lot more than anything else and I wished that the Lemon came out more than the Vanilla. This is also a party exclusive at Lush so I’m still a bit confused on why they’ve released as to me it defeats the point of it being a party exclusive but that’s just me. Priced at £6.50.

A wide shot photo of a selection of cylindrical glass tubs containing white and pink product with a metallic pink silver label with funfetti cake in white font on a rectangular light brown shelf on a bright background

Carrot Lip Oil

Who doesn’t want their lips to be juicy at Easter? I love a good lip oil so I was excited to see what Lush’s was going to be like when I saw the leaked spoilers for the Easter range. This contains Grapefruit, Sandalwood, Parsley Seed and Cold Pressed Carrot Seed OIls. To me this reminds me sort of a slightly spiced sort of Carrot Cake without all of the sweetness which I really adore. I hope that this comes back out next Easter. Priced at £5.

Lush Mothers Day 2022 First Impressions

 Hey ever)one!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. A while ago, I went to Lush to pick up their Mothers Day range and I thought that it was finally time to tell you all what I thought about the range.

A wide shot photo of a selection of light and brightly coloured spherical bath bombs, cylindrical clear bottles filled with orange liquid with mimosa on a back label and other products in light brown shelves and square light brown boxes on a light brown table on a bright background

Bath Bombs:

The Elephant In The Tea Room

This elephant is packing their trunk to say goodbye to the tub. Not only does this bomb look cute as it is the hybrid of an elephant and a tea pot. This bomb contains Bergamot and Lemon Myrtle Oils, Benzoin Resinoid, Powdered Gunpowder and Sencha Teas. Apparently this is a new scent called Tea and Biscuits at Lush which I get but to me that kind of sounds pretty vague. To me, this kind of gives me Earl Grey Tea vibes. If anyone remembers the Shades Of Earl Grey Massage Bar, imagine that but a little less creamy and a little bit more citrus based. This bomb to me is mainly citrus with a touch of sweetness that is coming from the Benzoin. The tea does come through but it doesn’t overwhelm which I was surprised at as when lush have used tea before it’s been the predominant scent in the product. I really like this but I think that this scent would do really well in the autumn as well as the spring whether as a limited or all year round product. Priced at £6.

A photo of some zoomed in elephant tea pot shaped bath bombs that are purple and pink in a large light brown square box on a large light brown table with a black card at the side of it saying the elephant in the tea room in white font on a bright background

Atom Heart Mother

I did talk about this product last year so I will keep this one short. This bomb shares the same scent as the old scent So White. Some do say that So White and Once Upon A Time are the same scent but to me OUAT has a little bit more of a floral sort of slightly biscuit based scent to it than a fruity scent that So White has. Apples are a big part of both Spring and Autumn to me so this product screams Spring to me due to its Apple based scent that is provided by Rose Absolute, Neroli, Orange Flower Absolute and Brazilian Orange Oil. I absolutely love this bomb.  Priced at £5.

A zoomed in photo of some spherical blue and green bombs with white clouds on them in a light brown square box on a light brown table with a black card saying atom heart mother bath bomb in white font on a bright background orange

Jasmine

This was our last year but in the form of a bubble bar, so this one will be kept quite short too. If you have been a Lush customer for a while then you may know the scent of this product by a different name. Christmas Eve/The Great Wave. This bomb contains Jasmine and Ylang Ylang which to me creates a sort of creamy yet very strong floral scent. Slightly like the scent of when you walk into a florist. This product also contains Rice Starch which gives a soothing property to the bath which I always adore due to having slightly dry skin. Priced at  £4.50

A zoomed in photo of some white flower square shaped bath bombs in a light brown square box on a light brown table with a black card that says jasmine in white font on a bright background

Rose Gold

A micro-influencers bathing dream has come true. A bath that is completely rose gold inside and out! This bath bomb contains Ylang Ylang and Bergamot Oils, Benzoin Resinoid and Orris Root Powder which gives the bomb a sort of floral sweet scent. To me, this scent reminded me of Coconut more than anything. I like Coconut but I wasn’t expecting it to smell like this from the ingredients that are in this bomb. Does anyone else get Coconut? Let me know. Priced at £6.

Bubble Bars:

Bestie

Snap this bubble bar in half and share with your ultimate bestie! Not only does this product look amazing due to it having a sort of entwined giraffes design but it smells amazing too! This product contains Brazilian Orange and Lime Oils which to me creates a very sort of sparkling citrus smell. Honestly this bubble bar reminds me of the Celebrate/Golden Wonder/Bubbly scent from Lush which I absolutely adore! Priced at £6.

Shower

Yummy Custard Body Wash

Who doesn’t want some lovely thick creamy stuff smeared all over them in the shower? I’ve been loving the sample of Posh Chocolate Body Wash that I got a while ago, so when I saw that Lush had released another Body Wash, I was intrigued to see what it was like. This product contains Vanilla Oat Milk, Vanilla Pod Powder and Aloe Vera Gel. I guess the gel is to help with the texture of the product and to provide a bit of nourishing and healing properties to the skin whilst the double vanilla make up the scent of this product. To me, this smells like when you open a can of Ambrosia custard. Lush had a product out years ago called Hair Custard and this body wash smells the exact same as that to me! I absolutely love it. Priced at £8 per 100g.

A photo of a selection of small and large cylindrical black pots with yummy custard body wash in white font brown m the front of them along side lush in white font on a large light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Mimosa Shower Gel

Cheers, Sweetie Darling. Who doesn’t love a good Mimosa? Not only is the name of this gel referencing that feel good drink but is also referencing the Mimosa Flower which sometimes gets forgotten due to the very well known drink. This gel contains Elderflower Infusion, Fresh Orange Juice, Wine Lees and Sweet Wild Orange Oils and Carnation. Absolute. This combination of scents to me reminds me of a Mimosa cocktail with a touch of floral pepperiness in the background which I’m guessing is from the Carnation and Elderflower. The texture is quite nice. Reminds me of a slightly thick serum to me. If you like anything citrus based then you will definitely love this Shower Gel! Priced at £7 for a 120g bottle.

A zoomed in photo of a bunch of different sized clear bottles filled with orange liquid with black circular lids with a black label that says minosa shower gel lush in white font on a light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Soap:

Buzzy Mum

Buzzy Mums may not have the time, but they deserve the self care! This soap not only smells cute but looks cute as it is in the shape of a very buzzy buzzy bee who are in dire need of being saved! This soap contains Camelina Seed Sativa Infusion, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Peach Powder, Carnation Absolute and Sweet Wild Orange Oil. To me, this soap smells like a sort of sweet floral concoction. I like it but I kind of wished that the Peach was a little bit more pronounced. Priced at £6.

A large zoomed in photo of a bunch of light white and yellow bee shaped soap with a black card that says busy mum soap on a light brown table on a bright background

Hands:

Lovely Hand Balm

To misquote Scouting For Girls, they’re so lovely! Who doesn’t love a good bit of hand care? Everyone needs to have soft hands especially after the past two years! This hand product contains Everlasting Flower Absolute and Ylang Ylang which to me creates a sort of delicate soft floral scent. To me, it reminds me of slightly scented laundry detergent. This product contains a plethora of softening ingredients like Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Gel and Macadamia Nut Oil to ensure that your hands are soft for hours and hours! Priced at £12.

A bunch of cylindrical black pots stacked on top of each other with a circular black label that says lovely hand balm lush in white font on a large light brown shelf on a bright bsckground

Eyes:

Wondermum Eye Mask

Wondermum to the rescue! This eye pad contains a plethora of ingredients including  Fennel Seed and Saffron Infusion, Fresh Carrot Juice, Aloe Gel and Carrageenan. These ingredients combine to help the eyes and to give customers who use this product a good amount of me time that they definitely deserve. The ones I used sadly ripped before I used them so it was a bit of a pain to use them. Priced at £5.

Here’s a photo of the Just For You gift that you can buy that includesThe Olive Branch Shower Gel and Lovely Hand Balm. Priced at £16.

Lush Botanomancy Bubble Bar Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you all about a new product form Lush. I did go into a store to pick this up, but, when I got to the Lush White Rose store, a lovely staff member gifted it to me which I was shocked and thankful for.

A dark green and pink swirled oval shaped bubble bar held by a white hand over a white oval bath tub on a bright background

List Of Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Patchouli Oil, Pimento Berry Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Ginger Oil, Sandalwood Oil,  Celery Seed Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Dried Lavender Flowers, Dried Rose Petals, Dried Peppermint Leaf, Cannabidiol, Gardenia Extract, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarin, *Eugenol, Isoeugenol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Chlorophyllin, Colour 77491.

Before I start the full review, its best to talk about the Cannabidiol.CBD Oil. Before knowing about this product, I honestly didn't know that much about CBD. I knew that it was slowly trickling its way into the beauty industry and that it comes in many forms and can be used in a plethora of ways. I still have a lot of research to do in regards to CBD but I now know that unlike stigma has crafted it to look like, it doesn't get you high even though its from the same green plant from something that can get you high and even though there is still being mass research put into finding out what CBD can do as a whole, it has been suggested that it can help those who suffer from pain and other things such as seizures.

I love the rolls from Lush. I realise that may sound hyperbolic but honestly I really do. I currently have six of them in my possession right now of different scents. I just think that they are amazing. Not only are they full of superb scent but you can get at least six baths out of them and that's when I'm using a generous amount each time. Oh, they also create mounds and mounds of bubbles too!

This texture pre and post crumbling it into the tub was amazing but interesting. When crumbling it into the tub, it took a bit of a while for me to have the strength to crumble it in. I have had rolls from Lush before but I don't remember them being extra hard which was something new. When I entered the waters, I didn't expect the waters to be so silky smooth. It reminded me more of a bath oil with bubbles rather than a bubble bath to me. I loved the silky sheen that appeared at the top of the wonderful waters. The second surprise in this bar was the flowers. Yes I had read online that it contained dried flowers, but honestly I had forgotten instantly about them due to the other amazing ingredients that are in this bar. When I eventually found a fabulous flower, I played with them and sniffed them to see if they still had their natural scent and they did. I loved them just on a textural spect as it kept me guessing of what was going to happen next but at the same time made me feel like I was relaxing in a gorgeous little sort of garden based bath.

Time to get onto the scent! I may be a bit bias with my review when it comes to the scent but I love anything that is Patchouli based and I love sort of green based scents so put them together and I am in love. I used to adore the Grass scent when it was available to grab in stores! I think that's why I get along with my friend Alex when it comes to scents as they like the same sort of scents, even though they are nose blind after about three sniffs if I drag them into anywhere like Lush.

The Patchoili, Pimento Berry (Allspice) and Ginger jumped on the scent train together when it came to instantly noticing what this bar smelt like. These three amazing ingredients blended together to give a sort of husky spicy note. Sadly, just like all three terrific trios, one of them stood out that little bit more and in this case it was the Patchouli which gave a sort of smoky herbal spice to the product which I instantly loved. The Patchouli sang its heart out till the end as I could still detect a very punchy hit of Patchouli circling my bathroom the day after. The next group to aboard the scent train were the Petitgrain, Sandalwood and Celery Seed. The main star from this group was the Petitgrain. The petit grain gave the bath a sweet yet a furious hit of floral which cut through some of the smoke and warmth from the other group. The best way that I could sum up the scent at the end of this tremendous train is a sort of spicy yet grassy floral mixture which makes you feel like you're in a spicy sort of garden like bath which is reinforced by the dried petals that surround you whilst bathing in aesthetic, scent and texture.

Would I buy this again? Yes! I loved the scent, the texture was amazing and the CBD in this bar numbed my pain for a while. I get tension pain from suffering with severe anxiety and it can affect me quite badly and has done all throughout my Undergraduate and Postgraduate academic life so having something that I know can help it is amazing to me. The flowers as well were a great way to feel pampered but relaxed at the same time as I need all the relaxing at the moment with life being hectic and restrictions being lifted. The bath also felt like I was being massaged from all the oils, flowers and CBD which I adored. I do think that this is either a love or loathe sort of product for most though. I also love how you can get so many baths just from one beautiful bar.

Have you checked out this product? Should I review the CBD Bath Bomb '4:20' from Lush next? What CBD based beauty products should I review? Let me know down below!
