ALDI Moser Roth Nocciola Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about the new Nocciola Chocolates from Aldi which you may recognise.

The festive season is slowly approaching. I don’t know about you but I associate it with Ferrero Rocher. Now, as we are all tightening our purses this Christmas, it was great to see that Aldi had released their own version of the well known chocolate at a much lower price. As I was wandering Aldi, they were in my eyeline so I knew that I had to grab them.

A photo of a rectangular dark brown box with gold accents with Aldi moser Roth nocciola in gold font with spherical chocolates that are dark brown with light brown nuts in the middle in gold wrapping on a bright background

Ingredients:

Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Whole 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤 Powder, Lactose (𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤), Emulsifier: Lecithins (𝐒𝐨𝐲𝐚); Natural Vanilla Flavouring), Sugar, Chopped 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐥𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐬 (16%), Vegetable Fats In Varying Proportions (Palm, Sunflower), Roasted 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐥𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐬 (8%), 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐥𝐧𝐮𝐭 Paste (5%), 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐫, Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder, Skimmed 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤 Powder, Whey Powder (𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤), Flavouring, Emulsifiers: Lecithins (Sunflower, 𝐒𝐨𝐲𝐚); Lactose (𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤), Raising Agent: Sodium Carbonates; Caramelised Sugar Syrup, Salt.

The texture of these are amazing and spot on. When I unwrapped one of these amazing chocolates and popped it into my mouth, the rough yet crunchy chocolate was the first texture that my tongue interacted with. After this, I was met with the smooth wave of melted chocolate . Finally, this wave of chocolate was contrasted with the crunchy nut that was hiding in the centre of this chocolate. Such an adventure of textures.

The taste of these were amazing. The exterior had a superbly strong and decadent milk chocolate flavour to it. The interior of the chocolate had more of an intense cocoa flavour to it which reminded me slightly of a sort of dark milk type of flavour. Although these two flavours harmonised together to create a rich chocolate flavour in my mouth, they were instantly contrasted with a slightly smoky yet still rich Hazelnut which managed to cut through all of the sweetness that the chocolate provided. They did remind me of a Ferrero Rocher but with a slightly bit of difference to me.

Would I buy these again? Definitely! These are amazing. You get 12 for £2.59. They taste amazing and would be great for the party season! 8.5/10.

Have you tried these? What are your favourite Chocolates for the festive season? Let me know down below.

Cinnabon UK Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I finally went to Cinnabon in Manchester and I thought that today I would talk to you all about my thoughts on trying Cinnabon.

A oho59 of a white square box that says Cinnabon in white font on a blue banner with a brown paper bag behind it saying Cinnabon in white font with a blue banner behind it on abvurghr background

Now Cinnabon is known in the States for being that one place in a mall food court you can sniff out instantly and is the first place people think of when you say Cinnamon Rolls, but sadly that’s no5 the case in the UK. Sadly Cinnabon has been non-existent in the UK until now.

That’s why when I found out that Cinnabon had opened up in Manchester Deangate, I knew that I had to go.

Myself, Alex and a friend decided to find the location of this Cinnabon because well we obviously had to try them out!

Once we had found the location, we all entered the store. Once that door had shut behind me, the smell of comforting Cinnamon enveloped me. I was in heaven just from the scent of this store and started to grasp why  the USA loved Cinnabon so much.

We decided to get four of tbe original Cinnabon. The Bun that started it all. I saw on the website and on the board that it was meant to be one price, but came out to a completely different price when we ordered them. I don’t know if this is because we went to the store quite late in the day or what but that confused me. I didn’t mind paying the price as I wanted to try them, obviously, but you know? I hate when stuffs confusing!

The texture of the buns themselves was quite an unusual one. They were slightly dense rather than soft and light which I was expecting. I guess this allows the filling to hold together inside the bun better and that it doesn’t all fall apart when you take a bite but when all you’ve eaten in your life is soft and light cinnamon buns, it’s a bit of a weird experience. The icing was also thick which is how I like it so I was glad to see that some things still remain the same with Cinnamon buns no matter where you get them from.

The dough tasted just how a cinnamon bun dough should taste. Subtle yet comforting with just a touch of Vanilla. The cinnamon filling itself was to die for. Sweet yet thoroughly spiced. Absolute heaven. I’m glad that these killed it when it came to the amount of a cinnamon in the filling because well not only is that the main point of getting a Cinnamon Bun but also because I adore Cinnamon. The icing complimented the cinnamon beautifully as it cut through all of the spice wonderfully with the Vanilla that is in the frosting. That mixture of Vanilla, Cinnamon and Sugar is sublime and it’s no different in Cinnabon’s Buns.

Would I buy these again? Probably. Before I buy more of the original though, I would definitely want to try the other flavours especially after seeing a Lemon  flavoured one. 8.8:10 overall.

Check out Cinnabon.

Hershey's Strawberries & Creme Chocolate Bar Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about some chocolate that I tried recently.

When I was in Home Bargains doing my weekly necessary shopping, I saw that Home Bargains were selling Strawberries and Creme Hersheys and I knew that I had to try them. I have tried the Hershey's Cookies and Creme several times due to Luke being obsessed with them so I thought that it was fitting to try this product too.

A rectangular pale pink rectangular chocolate bar with little white sugar crystals running throughout in a white rectangular packet with Hersheys in bold black font with strawberries and creme underneath in pink small font on a bright background

From what I could tell, this product was a white chocolate bar with a strawberry sort of flavouring to it with little sugar crystals running all the way through the bar.

I'm not the biggest fan of White Chocolate so I was a little bit anxious when trying it, mainly as some White Chocolate products can make me feel sick after a bite or two, but this product wasn't like that at all. The White Chocolate was more of a backdrop which allowed the Strawberry flavour to sing. To me, the Strawberry is more of an artificial strong Strawberry flavour compared to a more sour real Strawberry flavouring that ive tried in other products before. The best way to summarise this, is imagine a Strawberries and Cream iced drink from a Coffee Chain but in Chocolate Bar form. The sugar crystals make a good surprising textural contrast against the smooth chocolate. The reason that I say surprising is because compared to other bars that have a crunchy texture, this one is a bit more fine thus making you go ooh when you encounter the crystals.

I think that this a great sweet treat and can imagine this particular flavour being released within other products such as ice-cream and frozen desserts. I bought this bar from Home Bargains for 50p whilst it was on offer. Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I buy it regularly? Maybe not, just because I'm not the biggest fan of White Chocolate so unless I;m craving a Strawberry sweet treat then I might not remember to pick this up regularly.

Have you tried this product? Have you tried any new food products lately? Let me know down below!
