Have You Ever Been Hacked? | Tips For Preventing Hacking

Hey!

Welcome to another blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you all about how to ensure that your blog doesn't get hacked. I know that some of you don't have a blog so this post is slightly specific but for those who do have a blog this is a very necessary post.

1: Create A Password That Contains Upper, Lower and Numbers

I know that all of these tips sound simplistic but this one is very necessary nowadays. It's easy for someone to hack into an account of any sorts if the password is simple so ensuring that the password for your blog has a mixture of lowercase, lowercase and numbers so that no one can hack into it. I also think making sure that it has nothing to do with your name is also a great idea.

2: Back Up Your Blog

Some bloggers weirdly forget to do this but this is very important because if your blog does get hacked and something happens to it or the content that is stored on your blog then you will have a back up so you can reassure yourself that it's not as bad as it seems. Backing up never does you any harm.

3: Secure The Login

This one is mainly to do with people that are via Wordpress and not Blogger. I've used both platforms and have worked with blogs on both platforms several times. On Wordpress, you have the option to secure the login via a simple maths question. I would suggest doing this as it keeps bots out and keeps your brain working. Hackers won't realise that you need to do the maths question to log in and won't be able to get into your account.

4; Write your posts in Word then save them onto an external hardrive/cloud storage

I know that this sounds absolutely tedious but, trust me, it is worth it! The point of this tip is that if your blog gets completely hacked then you know that all your content is fine and that all you have to do is get it back up and sort it out. It saves being worried that you would have to type it up again.

5: Make Sure That You Have Current Anti Virus

You all should have this but I know that sometimes people forget to update or to sort their anti virus software for a period of time. Making sure that your antivirus is up to date ensures that everything with your laptop is fine and that you can blog safely and happily.

HP have created a series of videos which portray a cautionary tale about being hacked which I think is great as many people need to ensure that they know what can happen if they don't ensure that everything is secure within their technological life. I shall embed it here to make it easy as possible to watch.

Do you have any safety tips? Have you ever been hacked? Let me know down below!

I hope that you have enjoyed this informative post and I hope that you come back next time for a blog post. I hope that you are having a great week.

The Body Shop Masks Review

Hey!

Welcome to another blog post! For a while now, I've been trying out the face masks that are available at The Body Shop and I thought that it was time to tell you what I think about them all.

The Body Shop have created some amazing skincare over the years but within the past year they have released ranges such as their Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Oils Of Life and Superfood Face Masks. They have also released things such as Vegan Make Up Brushes. TBS have also released a Northern flagship store in the heart of Leeds city centre which showcases exclusive products and concepts such as personalised body butters, a VIP room and now create your own scrubs.

Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

Charcoal draws out the impurities within your skin so if you need something that will make your skin feel cleansed and healthy looking then this one is perfect for you. This mask is 100% vegan as well so if you're looking for a vegan mask then this might be for you.

I'm still a bit unsure how I feel about this mask. The smell was very clean and masculine which is good for first thing in the morning but when you have the face mask on it tightens the skin slightly and I'm always a bit weirded out by that. Saying that, this mask is great for people that need their skin to feel a bit better and gives a lovely glow/ Due to the scent being clean, I think that this particular mask will target men who want a mask to sort their skin out but don't want something with a powerful scent. 7/10

Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask

Honey is known as an amazing moisturising product and as this product also contains Marula and Olive Oil it ensures that your face gets all the nourishment that it needs therefore if your face is a little dry then this might be the perfect one for you.

I like this one but it doesn't fully set so I'm not fully sure on how I feel about it. The scent screams honey but die to the other oils so it reminds me more of sun tan lotion than Honey but its still an amazing mask for anyone with dry skin. 8/10

Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask

This mask is inspired by Chinese tradition and contains a mixture of Ginseng and Rice extracts and Sesame Seed Oil. This mask is perfect for anyone who is trying to ensure that their skin is brighter looking or has a more even colouring to it.

The scent of this one is different to any other mask I have used. It has a deep sort of Ginger scent going on and I like it but I don't expect it to be the scent of a face mask. I love the rice extract as it ensures that your face gets a proper polish without it being too harsh on the skin. 8/10

Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask

This mask is 100% Vegan and is inspired by the rituals of Amazonian tribes. This product contains Acai Berry (the berry that no one knows how to say the name of), Guarana and Babassu Oil. This one invigorates and exfoliates sleepy skin to make it look bright and ready for action first thing in the morning,

I love this one. I don't know whether its because it looks/smells like Jam or if its because the bits in the mask exfoliate really well but I love what it does. I do think that the jam quality may not be the best thing first thing in the morning but it does what it says on the pot. 9.5/10

British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask

This mask is also 100% Vegan and has a gel consistency to it. It's infused with Rose Petals, Rose Essence, Rosehip Oil and Organic Fair Trade Aloe Vera. All of these ingredients help to nourish and ensure that the skin has a dewy look to it.

I love the British Rose scent from The Body Shop within the Spring months as it's a nice soft scent to start the year off with. This one is a weird one as it feels a bit Botox-y due to it plumping up the skin but I loved the results that I got from it and I loved the scent. 8.5/10

If you want to find out more about these masks then you can always check out The Body Shop's website here.

Have you tried any of the The Body Shop face masks? Let me know down below!

I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post! I hope that you're having a great week.

My Ideal Day At Live At Leeds Festival 2017

Hey!

Welcome to another blog post! Today's blog post is all about my ideal day at Live At Leeds. I went to the festival last year and had an absolute hoot with Michelle so I thought that doing an ideal day would be a good idea in case you're going to the festival and wanting some ideas when it comes to who to see or where to eat at an all day festival.

Who I Would See At LAL

When I did LAL last year we wandered and found a band that we liked the sound of and then we went from there. I would probably start off at Nation Of Shopkeepers and watch Shadowlark. I would then walk to Headrow House to watch White Kite then Life at Leeds Beckett Uni Union. After this I would walk up to the beautiful Belgrave Music Hall to watch KYKO. I would then visit The Faversham to watch Tom Walker then to the Trinity Leeds stage to see Glass Mountain then maybe Artifical Pleasure for a tiny bit at Oporto. After this Idles at The Key Club After this I would see Clean Cut KidThe Independent Stage at Leeds Uni Union. then Slaves at O2 Academy. Finally I would go and visit Rag N Bone Man at Leeds Uni Union.

Where I Would Eat

There is three places that I would consider for food consumption whilst at Live At Leeds. The first one would be Bundobust. Bundobust do amazing food at an affordable price and it's great for vegetarians. As Bundobust is based on street food you can grab something quickly and then walk back to the location of where the preferred stage is with the food.

The second location that I would choose for food is Barburrito. I love a good Burrito! Although Burritos can be quite messy, I think that they are amazing especially in warm weather and outside stages such as the Trinity Leeds venue. As Barburrito offer bottomless soft drinks, it does mean that you can always refill your drink after a performance in case you're parched.

The last place that I would choose when it comes to food is Trinity Kitchen. Just like Bundobust, this place is based on street food which means that if you're with friends or in my case Michelle then you can all get something that fits your own preferred tastings and something that fits your budget which I love. I personally love Pho and Chicago Rib Shack but I'm loving the sound of a Cadbury's Scotch Egg from The Baking Biker at the minute!

I love all three of these places so honestly I wish that I could get something from each of these businesses whilst enjoying Live At Leeds because I'm a greedy person who loves his food.

Where To Drink

Baa Bar is located next door to O2 Academy Leeds therefore as it is near venues such as Leeds Beckett University Union it is a good place to grab a drink throughout the day. Myself and Michelle went there during Slam Dunk and it was amazing.

I would also say Wetherspoons for a drink after Live At Leeds due to one being next door to The Key Club and one near Nation Of Shopkeepers which are great stage venues in this years festival. Wetherspoons is open until around 2am normally which is great as you can get a nicely priced drink and rest your feet.

Travelling Home:

Honestly I would love to get a hotel for the night and then roam around Leeds on a Sunday to check out places like Leeds Markets but I would normally see if I can stay at a friends or I would probably just get a taxi home as I live in Bradford so it would probably cost less than a hotel.

Have you got your Live At Leeds festival ticket yet? If not then click here to get them.

How would your ideal day at Live At Leeds go? Would you change anything? Let me know down below!

Thanks for reading this post! I hope that you have enjoyed it and let me know if you would want to see more music based posts!

Ox Club Leeds Brunch & 200 Degrees Leeds Coffee Review

Hey!

Welcome to another blog post! The lovely guys at Ox Club and the PR team behind them invited me to come and try out some of their amazing dishes from their Brunch Club menu with a few other bloggers and I thought I would tell you guys about it all!

We started the day off by walking quite quickly to the train station due to the train strikes that were happening on the day, Once we arrived in the heart of Leeds, we made our way up to Headrow House which is about a 5 minute walk from the infamous Trinity Leeds shopping centre.

Ox Club is the restaurant that is situated within the wonderful Headrow House which is situated on the Headrow. Ox Club serve brunch on weekends but they also serve their wonderful food within the evenings via their Evening Menu. Ox Club also participate in themed nights where they serve a particular menu which isn't normally available to the public such as an all veggie night. The restaurant use seasonal produce and their menu's changes on a daily basis subject to availability of ingredients

First on the menu was Korean Fried Chicken. This came with Rice, Pickled Cucumber, Kimchi and a Crispy Egg.

I loved the crispy Chicken against the freshness of the Kimchi. I think that the addition of the crispy egg was a fabulous choice. I loved the Spiciness of the Chicken as it wasn't too powerful but it left a warm sensation at the back of yout throat. The spiciness was well balanced via the cooling Cucumber and the Kimchi. I think that this is something different to have for Breakfast/Brunch but if it's slightly cold outside or if you're curing a hangover then it's absolutely perfect!

Then we tried Flat Iron Steak and Cheddar Eggs. This was accompanied by Home Fries and a delicious Chipotle Tomato Jam.

Steak and eggs is a breakfast dish that is most commonly eaten by people who are training for events such as triathlons and such. As I have never trained for anything yet, I've never had Steak and Eggs. I loved the Steak even though I know that Steak can be a very personal thing! I wasn't sure what to think of the Cheddar Eggs at first but after the second taste I knew that I absolutely loved them. The jam was lovely against the creamy eggs.

Next stop on the food train was Cauliflower Shawarma. The items that were paired with this included Grilled Flatbread, Buttered Ras Al Hanout Eggs, Pomegranates, Pine Nuts and Yoghurt.

Cauliflower is normally shoved under Cauliflower Cheese where its normally overcooked then covered in a very Cheesy sauce so I was already interested in this very fresh dish. This Cauliflower Shawarma showed me that Cauliflower can be lively! The crispy flatbread and crunchy Cauliflower against the soft eggs was an interesting texture combination. I absolutely loved it though. I'm not used to a crispy Flatbread so I would have personally preferred it to be slightly more soft but that's a personal thing. I loved the addition of Pomegranate as it just made the whole dish that little bit more fabulous!

The staff then brought out the beautiful Bubble & Squeak. This delicious dish came with Smoked Sausage, Cabbage, Fried Duck Egg and Chicken Gravy.

I always thought that Bubble & Squeak was one of those things that was a back up dancer due to it being traditionally made from leftovers but this dish was sensational. The cabbage and potato against the smoky sausage worked really well. Smokiness and freshness just contrasted against each other very well. I loved the gravy against the potato as it just made the dish feel very comforting. I think that this on a cold winters morning would be great!

We then tried the Coconut French Toast with Sriracha Maple Butter and Bacon.

I love Coconut and French Toast so I already had high expectations for this dish. I think that the Sriracha Maple Butter added a slight kick in the back of your mouth without being overwhelming and well Bacon added a contrast between the sweetness in the Maple Butter. I just loved this dish and I think that this would be great with a large coffee. I'm still a bit unsure on whether the Sriracha was necessary but on the whole this was a great dish.

Finally, we enjoyed Ricotta Pancakes, Honeycomb, Blueberries, Honey and Creme Fraiche.

I have never had Ricotta Pancakes before but they were thick and fluffy and something that is definitely needed for a weekend. A stack of these on their own are heavenly so when you add Honey and Blueberries to them it just makes them extra special! The Blueberries add a fresh note against the eggyness of the Pancakes and the sweetness of the Honey. I'm not the greatest fan of Creme Fraiche I'm not going to lie but I think it helps cut through the honey within this dish. I think these with a few Bloody Mary's is always an amazing start to a weekend and I would honestly eat these every weekend but maybe without the Creme Fraiche, Honey and Blueberries I would make a hot Blueberry sauce for the colder weekends.

Once we had finished off trying the menu at Ox Club we were told that we could go down to 20n 0 Degrees which is opposite the Boots store which is located within Trinity Leeds. We were meant to be participating in creating some amazing Latte art but due to it being a wonderful yet busy Saturday afternoon we decided that we would try some stuff from 200 Degrees. I decided to order a Mocha for both myself and Luke. I then asked the barista to recommend us a couple of sweet treats as I wasn't really feeling a sandwich after sampling the dishes at Ox Club.

He suggested a wonderful looking Brownie and a sweet treat that changes every Saturday. This dish is dubbed Saturday Special. This sweet treat was a Chocolate and Raspberry Tart. The brownie was divine but honestly any brownie is divine in my eyes. This one has a sort of gooey but nubbly centre which I think was via Chocolate Chips but I could be completely wrong. Dark and decadent made this Brownie amazing against the bittersweet (Coffee always has a bitter edge in my opinion) Mocha. The tart had a filling of Raspberry sort of compote I think layered with a Chocolate Ganache. The pastry was crumbly and perfect against the smoothness of the ganache. The raspberry was a amazing. Some would say that it was a surprise but as this tart is garnished with Raspberries then it should be well known. The sharp fruitiness of the Raspberry against the ganache was really nice. A perfect tart to have whilst having a chit chat and I'm thankful for this recommendation as I will remember them both quite well.

I will definitely have to go back to try their sandwiches!

What's your go to dish when it comes to brunch? What's your favourite hot drink to order at a coffee shop? Have you been to either Ox Club or 200 Degrees? Let me know down below!

Thanks to I Like Press for inviting myself and Luke to both events. Thank you to the guys at Ox Club/Headrow House for serving us fabulous food and for being amazing to us bloggers. Thank you to the guys at 200 Degrees for being amazing, creating amazing drinks and food and for recommending me those amazing sweet treats!

I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post. I hope that you like the photos that I have taken within this post and I hope to see you next time for another post!

Give Me All Of The Meat | Restaurants Of Leeds & Bossa Grill #ROLbossa Event

Hey!

Welcome to another blog post. Last week, the wonderful guys over at Restaurants Of Leeds invited myself, Luke, Michelle and her boyfriend Dan along to an event in collaboration with Bossa Grill and I thought that I would tell you guys about the amazing event!

We ended up in Leeds a tiny bit early so we all decided to venture to Leeds and to Victoria Gate to have a look at all of the new Easter stock at T2 and to try the new Decaf coffee from Nespresso. Once we had done this, we all strolled along to Bossa but in typical Jamie style we ended up being early so we waited outside and ended up having a chat.

The four of us entered the vibrant restaurant and met with the guys behind the amazing Restaurants Of Leeds who invited us to the event. We talked all things food and SEO with them. If you haven't checked their site out then click here. All of us decided to grab a glass of Prosecco and decided to choose a table in the centre of the restaurant which would become our habitat of the rest of the event.

The owner of Bossa then gave us talk about the background of the restaurant. Bossa is all about doing what you want. In Brazil, they don't really plan things unlike England so the guys behind Bossa thought that England needed somewhere which encompasses this and shows the public that its fine to do things on a whim and to let the heart guide you on a night out! If your heart desires Meat, Garlic Dough Balls, Veg, Cocktails or sweet things then Bossa shall help your Heart reach it's internal Heaven. If your cow is stood up then it means that you want food and if its tipped over then you're stuffed. It's as simple as that.

After the talk, we sat down and was told that we were going to have a one to one cocktail masterclass about Caipirinha's which include muddling some lime and sugar... I'm keeping the rest a secret but if you want one of these amazing drinks and you live anywhere near Leeds then you should definitely get one from Bossa.

Next came the sides! The sides include some amazing Chips (Batatas) which were crispy on the outside but so fluffy on the inside. They also had a slightly salty but spicy rub on the outside which made them really moreish! Garlic Bread Dough Balls (Pao De Alho) were next on the list! I could eat these all day every day! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside with tons of Garlic goodness! I think that these would be great with a Gatlic dip and some caipirinhas in any sort of nice weather that Leeds sometimes has!

I love a good Corn On The Cob! The sweet pieces of Corn mixed with lovely warm butter is one of the best things in the world. This one had an aftertaste of spice which worked well with the sweet taste of Corn. I just try not to be that beast who eats all the Corn as quickly as possible which ends up in having a warm butter basted face but I end up having this exact type of face 9/10 after eating Corn On The Cob. Oops.... The last side dish that we enjoyed/is available at Bossa is Homemade Coleslaw (Salpicao Slaw.) I loved this due to it being like a normal Coleslaw but it had a spicy kick to it which I thought was more authentic to Brazil as the ethos of Brazilian food is to have a party in your mouth!

Meat was on the mind next!

I love a good thick piece of meat! First of all, there were sausages on the mind! Pork Sausages (Chorizo Criollo.) These sausages were hot in temperature and flavour but so moreish so I had to blow on these beautiful beauties and wait a few seconds before wolfing them down. Again, I think that these would go with a nice cold drink and a dip or layer some of these cooked creatures onto some Paprika tinted Bread for a gorgeous sandwich.

Slow Cooked Pulled Beef was next on the list! I have never had Pulled Beef and honestly I don't think many will have had this either due to Pulled Pork being the most conventional and chosen Pulled Meat to have. I loved this as it had a bit more texture compared to Pulled Pork and had a lovely kick to the back of it. The sauce that it was slow cooked in was slightly thick but I liked this as it didnt mean that it was swimming in the sauce but instead clung to it. I think that this would be great with some Tortilla Chips and Sour Cream.

Apparently Chicken Thighs are more tender than Chicken Breast but I've never tried Thigh so I'm so glad that I finally got to try it at Bossa! I was mainly intrigued by the Chicken Thigh (Sobrecoxa De Frango) due to never having Thigh before but I am so thankful that I was invited to this event because I tried it and instantly fell in love! The tenderness of the Chicken just went beautifully with the other meats that were on my plate.

Everyone loves a good Chicken Wing but I'm sure that even Chicken's are sick of the words Buffalo Wings by now?! Bossa do a Chicken Wing (Asinhas De Frango) but not as you've seen before. Bossa's version is more warming without being hot unlike Buffalo Wings. There is also no Blue Cheese Dip in sight with these. I just loved the warmth of these especially with an extra crispy skin. They are to die for and are great for when you're at Bossa with a couple of friends!

When you think of Brazilian Buffet, do you think Grilled Pineapple? Well Bossa definitely want you to! This Grilled Pineapple (Abacaxi) isn't the most conventional thing to have at a restaurant but it is pretty delicious so I think that most restaurants should have this at front and center of their menus. Grilling the fruit ensures that the natural juices come out of the fruit therefore the fruit is extra fruity! The addition of Cinnamon isn't expected but it works so well as it just adds to the grilling and makes it feel and taste warmer! I think if you muddled a couple of these in a cocktail then it would be fabulous!

I love a good piece of Steak so thank goodness Bossa offers Rump (Picanha) for those who love some Steak. I loved this. The steak was cooked to perfection for me and it cut like Butter. I loved this with the Homemade Coleslaw and I think pairing this with a good bottle of Red Wine would be a wonderful thing to do!

If you've tried Pork Belly via high class restaurants then I urge you to try it everywhere as Pork Belly can never be shown within a bad light. I loved this! Juicy but flavoursome. Meaty but sweet! Just delicious! I think that Pork Belly goes well with almost anything so as long as you've got some amazing friends to share it with then that's all that matters.

Last meat time! Lamb is something that I don't really see at buffets and I think that it is underrated! I love some good Lamb Ribs which is weird I know but ah well. The Lamb (Cordeira) was sweet but had a slight bit of heat. I think that this Lamb was amazing for the time that we went to Bossa. I think that this would go really well with the Garlic Dough Balls!

Bossa offer three desserts for you to choose for if you're wanting a dessert. We only tried one but the one that we tried was to die for. Bossa offer Ice Cream, Banoffee Crumble and Churros and Chocolate Sauce. We tried the Churros and Chocolate Sauce and they were completely heavenly. The crisp texture of the exterior and the fluffiness of the interior made a wonderful contrast but the thing that made this Churro different is that this one had Chocolate inside for a surprise! I loved it as it added a depth to the interior instead of just being sweet like some Churros can be. I could eat these again and again!

Have you been to Bossa Grill before? Hav

e you tried any of the above before? Let me know down below!

Thanks to the staff at Bossa Grill for putting on an amazing night and to the amazing people at Restaurants Of Leeds for inviting myself, Luk , Michelle and her brilliant boyfriend along to this event, I had such a wonderful night!

I hope that you come back next time for another post where I ramble about something!

Thanks for reading!Jamie x

AVA-J Mens Underwear Gift Box Review

Hey!

Welcome to another blog post! If you can jog your memories back to Valentines Day, I wrote a post about how to treat yourself when it comes to the infamous day. I included AVA-J in the post (a brand that I adore due to many reasons including being based in Leeds) and after the post they kindly sent me a gift so I could celebrate Valentines Day in style!

Avaj (pronounced Ava Jay) is a brand that works for everyone, and that philosophy has gone into all aspects of the product line.AVAJ have four unique, quality ranges suited to a sophisticated modern men. Avaj was made into a business when the mother of the people behind the business wanted to buy them underwear for Christmas and only found underwear that was based on reinforcing sexual masculine ideology to influence other men to buy said products to get a girl so they created AVAJ.

I was sent a gift box that came in some lovely packaging. The gift box contained a box of little delicious looking chocolate hearts that were encased in shiny red wrapping, a bottle of their Peppermint Face Scrub and a pair of their Black Jock Briefs.

The Peppercorn Exfoliating Face Scrub gets rid of dirt, oil and dead skin which makes it an amazing scrub but Shea and Cocoa Butters to ensure that no moisture is lost when scrubbing away which is good for those months when you need as much moisture as possible. The Peppermint comes through but you can tell that it's not a fake a Peppercorn like you expect in food but its more of a musky deep Peppercorn that is similar to the scent ofn . I think that this is best when its first thing in the morning as it wake yourself and your skin up. I love this particular for the elegant silver bottle that it comes in. 9/8 but if you're not keen on the smell then have a look at the rest of their range.

The next item in the box was a pair of Jet Black Jock Briefs.

All of AVAJ's underwear is made with a 95% Cotton and 5% Elastane mix, topped with a thick plain black woven Elastane waistband wider than your average waistband for your comfort, finished with their woven label on the front and on the inside. All of AVAJ's garments are machine washable which always great as it saves time and energy for everyone.

I love the colour of these due to being a lover of anything black plus it keeps the silhouette looking slim for those that are a bit conscious of around there  This pair of underwear felt amazing which is probably due to the mix mentioned above. I know that Jock Briefs aren't for everyone but I felt amazing, comfy and sexy wearing them. I think that they are amazing for sports or for when you need a boost of confidence which sometimes everyone needs. I think that every guy owns at least one pair of these to experience the feeling! I also loved the enhancing cup as it just made everything fit in the right places which I think would make these pair amazing for a night out. 9.8/10. If you're not sold on the Jock Briefs then have a look at the other Mens Underwear that they sell!

I'm not sure who the chocolates are by but they were amazing. Lovely and creamy chocolate in a cute heart shape. I think that these alone would be great for a little present.

Sadly I don't think that this gift set is available now but do have a look on their site as it was their 2 year birthday on Saturday. They also do some amazing nightwear as well as beautiful grooming products, accessories and underwear. Click here to check out their website or have a closer look at the products mentioned.

Have you been loving any underwear brands lately? Let me know down below!

Thanks to AVAJ for sending me this gift box. I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post! Happy Belated Birthday to AVAJ!
