If You Wanna Be My Lover, You Gotta Get With My Shower Gel Addiction | Lush Ginger Shower Gel Review

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you all about the Ginger Shower Gel from the Lush Mothers Day 2020 Range.

This year, Lush's Mothers Day range was inspired by the Spice Girls. This included a delicate Baby's Bum Cleanser, a roaring yet spicy Bath Bomb inspired by Scary Spice, a luxurious Posh Shampoo Bar, a sporty little number in the form of Knock Out Bubble Bar and Ginger Shower Gel.

The first thing, that I thought that I would talk about is the texture of the gel. The gel is slightly different compared to most shower gels that you have tried before. It's thicker than most gels. When you use it on yourself, it has a tendency to be more like an oil rather than a thick lathering Shower Gel. I think that this is due to the Xantham Gum that is in the base of this shower gel. At first, I kind of hated it as I'm used to lather based gels, but I have adapted to loving Due to the texture, it does mean that I have a tendency on using more than I think that I need when I am using the Gel. it. If you have tried any of the Lush Shower Gels within 2020, then you will know exactly what I mean.

Did you know that the Ginger fragrance from Lush, was one of their first fragrances that Lush released? The scent of this Gel can be sparated into two parts. Wood, Ginger and Mimosa. This Shower Gel is also a Fine Fragranced Shower Gel, which I think means that the fragrance that is sold within solid, 30ml and 100ml has been directly turned into a Shower Gel and not diluted. I could be wrong though...

When you smell this directly from the bottle. you get a sort of an almagation of Ginger, Wood and Florals. When you apply this to your body, I got a hit of deep sort of smoky wood first from the Sandalwood and Bergamot. Then the Ginger Root and Ginger Oil then comes through which envelop you in a spicy and warming aroma. After the Ginger hits you, its balanced out straight after with Mimosa, Red Mandarin and Geranium which ends your shower journey with a slightly spicy, but mainly floral note. If you like the Ginger perfume or anything with a spicy yet slightly floral based then you will love this!

Would I buy it again? Yes. I absolutely love this scent. It's one of those that can be used for a mixture of seasons and moods. Versality is always good when it comes to scents. The scent can be used definitely for Spring, Autumn and pretty much Winter, especially from the spice and floral notes in this product.

Getting Spicy For The Summer | The Body Shop Summer Range 2019

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The Body Shop released two new ranges, and I thought that today I would talk to you about them.

The Body Shop have decided to focus their Summer ranges on food waste. By this, I mean using wonky and unwanted vegetables and fresh ingredients within their products within the Summer Range. The main two ranges that The Body Shop have released for the Summer, are, Banana and Ginger, which both use wonky or wasted pieces of Fresh Banana and Ginger.

Ginger:

Enriched with beautifully gnarly, knobbly and totally twisted ginger root extract from India. This Ginger range ensures that any Ginger Root from India that doesn't get used within beauty products, would be used within The Body Shop's range. The range contains, a Shower Gel, a Body Scrub, Body Yoghurt, Body Butter, and a Hand Wash. If you like the Ginger Anti Dandruff, then imagine the smell of that being the main scent of this range, but more Fresh. Whereas the Anti Dandruff range has more of a dark warming scent that may remind you of Christmas/Gingerbread, this range will give you more of a fresh zingy Ginger Juice sort of scent. The Showr Gel is my favourite product from the range, as it lathers up instantly which intensifies the Ginger flavour slightly. The Body Butter is enriching and keeps your body moisturised for at least 12 hours (I tried it out for the day whilst shopping and I could smell it when I was going to bed). My least favourite Ginger product was the Body Yoghurt. I do love a Body Yoghurt, but mixing a Body Yoghurt with any warm weather isn't the best of ideas, as I found that the warm weather doesn't help the Yoghurt to set.

Banana: 

Enriched with Community Trade organic banana puree made from bananas that won’t sell to the food industry. This means that any of the Banana's that don't make it into your smoothies or Banana Bread, get to go into a beautiful Banana product at The Body Shop. This range includes, a Shower Cream, Body Polish, Body Yoghurt, and, Body Butter. If you love sort of sweet scents then you will love this one, as the scent has a sort of Foam Banana scent to it. This range would go perfectly with a Banana Daiquiri in the sun after pampering yourself with beauty products.

Finding The Magic Within Myself | Lynx Daily Fragrances Review

The guys over at Lynx decided to send me some of their new products so I thought that I might as well as tell you guys what I thought about them.

Lynx have been a main cosmetics company that in some way shape or form has moulded at least one teenager within society. They are most well known for their scents such as Africa and Excite but are now known for many other reasons. If I know my stuff right then they started off mainly making producs for the male target audience but then ventured out into producing scents/products for females too. They have also been known for their adverts lately as they have slowly been redefining what it means to be a man.

The first product that I got sent was the Adrenaline Daily Fragrance. This has the scent of Iced Musk & Ginger. Now, I'm not a massive fan of Musk but the fact that it's 'iced' gives it a sort of cooling scent within the background of the fragrance which I think works amazingly with the warming Ginger. I think that it does what it says on bottle which is to invigorate you. I think that this scent works perfectly when its a slightly warmer than usual sort of day. I love the packaging of the product. The box that it comes in is black with a rectangle explaining the scent and coordinating that scent with a colour which is pretty interesting. It also states on the box that the fragrances are no gas which I love as this means that there isn't any added pollution when you buy the product! I would give this product an 8.5/10.

The second product that I was gifted was another daily fragrance, The scent of this one is Tobacco and Amber. Some may think that Tobacco shouldn't be in fragrances but it really works well within this product. The tobacco gives a smoky element whereas the amber gives it a slightly deep but sweet note which makes the fragrance enticing to both men and women which is pretty great. I also think that there is a bit of Vanilla in the backnote but I could be wrong! The scent works perfectly on most days and lasts quite a long while when applied to the skin. I've already had it on for quite a while today and I can still smell it. I would give this a good 8.85/10, There is always room for improvement in every product but I do love this quite a bit!

The last thing that was delivered to me was the Natural Looking Styling Clay. Now I have to admit, I rarely use products but since I got my hair cut short I have been using products to try and keep my hair somewhat tame and I have loved this. It gives a matte finish which I do like quite a bit and isn't too hard to the point where you can't really rework your hair which is annoying sometimes. The hold of the product is pretty great. I didn't really need to apply anymore to keep it together until the end of a warm day where I already looked like hell due to being busy and being sweaty within the weird but warm weather. I think I would give this an 8 due to it being my first introduction of wax/clay based hair products but I am slowly growing to loving it a bit more. The packaging did come a bit bumped which is a sad point but that sometimes happens when you get sent things.
