Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Oil Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about some of the products that I bought from Aldi.

If you have followed me for a while or know me personally, then you will know that I love Rose scented things. My friends, Abbey and Michelle can vouch for this, as, one birthday I met up with them for drinks and they could smell Rose from me before I was even near them.

The texture of this product was peculiar to me. I have used a fair few Facial Oils in my time but unlike this one, they have normally had a thin consistency to them. This one had a thick texture to it which I wasn't used to. I enjoyed the thicker consistency as it meant that there was less of a chance of the product dripping everywhere when applying it to myself.

The scent of this product is amazing. If you have read my Rose Toner post, then imagine that but a tiny little bit stronger. I love Rose scented products, therefore strong Rose scents appeal to me very highly. If you're not a fan of the powdery type of Rose scent then I don't think that you will enjoy the scent of this product that much.

I've been using this product for the last few weeks and I have loved using it. When applying it, it is thick like I have mentioned above, but when it is applied to the skin, it becomes tacky for about a minute or so before sinking into the skin quite quickly. I have noticed that this product does leave a tiny bit of a Matte finish to the skin. Keep this in mind if you don't like Matte finishing products on your face. My skin felt soft and plump after using this product. I think that my skin felt plump due to the mix of Rose Oil and Hyaluronic Acid that are in this product.

Would I buy it again? If I found it in the aisles of Aldi then yes I definitely would. As this was an Aldi Superbuy, it does mean that it is rare to find it again. I have incorporated it into my daily routine though.

Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Toner Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about some more products that I have been trying from Aldi recently.

If you have checked out my last post about the Vitamin C Hot Cloth Cleanser, then you will know that I recently went to Aldi to buy some products for Luke, and whilst I was there, I picked up some products for myself too.

A cylindrical clear bottle filled with light pink liquid with a white circular lid and a white rectangular label with lacuna healthy glow rose toner in rose gold font on a bright background

The texture of this Toner is a weird one for me. When I applied this on my hand or Cotton Pad, I could tell that it had a slightly watery feel to it. This is natural when it comes to Toners. However, when the product glided over my skin, I could feel a little bit of a more jelly like texture to the product. The best way to describe what I am rambling about is to define it more as the same texture as a water based Serum, where you can tell its watery but its thick at the same time.

The scent of this product is to die for, but then again I do love anything with Rose in. It is more of the raditional powdery Rose scent, so if you're not the biggest fan of that then you may not want to be putting this on your face that often. I love putting this on Day or Night, but the scent enveloping my senses just before bed is the best.

After using this product for several weeks, this Toner made my skin feel smooth and slightly more refreshed. It also helped my spots to reduce slightly during the process of using this for a few weeks. With skincare, it's best to use it for a long while to truly see the benefits of the products that you are using.

Would I buy it again? Yes, as I love the scent and I love what it has done to my face. I also love that you get a good amount of product within a bottle which means that I will have enough to last me a long while. If I see this within the aisles of Aldi within the future, then I will be sure to buy more of it.

Aldi Lacura Vitamin C Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about some of the items that I have been trying from Aldi lately.

I went to Aldi a while ago as Luke wanted me to pick up some goodies for him. Whilst I was there, I thought that I should pick up some things for myself, so I did!

I've been loving some of the products within Aldi's Lacura range recently so I decided to pick up some more goodies that are within the range.

I was in need of a new cleanser so I thought that I would try their Vitamin C Hot Cloth Cleanser, as I had heard great things about it from other people and I knew that I could do with getting some Vitamin C into my beauty routine due to having slightly dull skin post finishing University.

A photo of a triangular orange squeezy bottle with a silver clear circular clickable lid with Lacura Vitamin C Hot Cloth Cleanser on a white background with some blue leaves in the background

This product contains Cocoa Butter which ensures that the product has a creamy consistency to it. It also ensures that it doesn't dry out your skin, which in my experience some Cleansers have a habit of doing so. The Cocoa Butter also ensures that the product is gentle on the skin, which ensures that the product is suitable for sensitive skin too. This means that for me, it was a great Cleanser to use the day after shaving my face when stuff was still a tad sensitive.

The scent of this product is amazing. If you love anything with a Citrus kick then you will adore this Cleanser. This Cleanser has a sort of Grapefruit/Orange scent to it. When I first smelt it, the product reminded me of the Pink Grapefruit range from The Body Shop. Due to this uplifting and invigorating scent, this Cleanser is great to use first thing in the morning but I also love using it at night due to its creamy texture.

After using this product for a couple of weeks, I noticed that my skin felt smoother and felt amazing. I also believe that the Cocoa Butter helped to make my skin feel slightly more moisturised in the long run.

Would I buy this again? A thousand times yes. I love this product and have started to use it as my main everyday Cleanser within my beauty routine.

Oh Honeycomb, You're The Bee's Knees | Dairy Milk Inventor Crunchy Honeycomb Chocolate Bar Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about the Honeycomb bar from the Dairy Milk Inventor Range.

I managed to grab the Honeycomb Bar when I was last in Tesco so I thought that I would write about it whilst it is fresh in my memory. These bars are only at Tesco at the minute.

A bar of chocolate covered in a purple rectangular wrapper with dairy milk in white font with crunchy hineycomb in gold font with a piece of gold honeycomb at the side of it on a bright background

'Milk chocolate with caramel flavoured fudge cubes (7 %), chopped hazelnuts (6 %) and honeycomb granules (4 %).' - Tesco's Website.

The texture of this bar was pretty great. I think that with all three of these bars, that the texture will be amazing, as there is loads going on within each bar. As usual, the bar starts off with the smooth and creamy Dairy Milk chocolate that everyone knows and loves. After the chocolate melts in your mouth, the crunchy Honeycomb takes over your mouth and gives the bar a good amount of crunch and crisp. After this, the slightly chewy Fudge gives the bar some great textural difference. It's also rare to see Fudge in a Chocolate Bar. After the Fudge has dissolved, the textural rollercoaster finishes with the slight crunch from the Hazelnuts that are in the bar.

The taste of this bar was nice. it started off with the smooth and creamy Chocolate flooding your mouth like a tsunami wave of deliciousness. Once the Chocolate taste evaporated from my mouth, the slightly smoky but sweet Honeycomb flavour punched my mouth like it was a fight to the death. After the fight between my tastebuds and the heavenly honeycomb was over, the slight creaminess from the Fudge came through. After about a minute, the taste of toasted hazelnuts crept its way onto my tongue and I loved it.

Would I buy this one again? I think I would but at the same time I don't think I will be rushing out to buy it again and again. For me, it's one of those that if I saw on offer then I would grab a bar. Y'know? I think that this would be a great one to share with someone or to have with a TV show and a good drink.

Have you tried any of the bars in the Inventors range? Let me know!

Bursting The Berry In My Mouth | Dairy Milk Inventor Out Of The Blueberry Bar Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Inventor Bars.

The first bar that I thought that I would make a blog post about is the 'Out Of The Blueberry' Bar. I couldn't grab all of them at the same time, so I thought that I would create blog posts about the bars when I can grab my hands on them.

'Milk chocolate with blueberry flavoured pieces (8 %) and white chocolate coated cereal balls.' - Tesco's website, where they are only available from for the moment.

I loved the texture of this bar. I think when I am looking at new bars, or even reviewing products that I already know and love, its best to look at the textural components of the product. I think when it comes to food, texture plays such a big part of whether you love or loathe it. This particular bar starts off with the smooth and creamy Dairy Milk chocolate that a lot of us know and love. When you take a piece of the bar into your mouth, the chocolate floods your tongue like a wonderful river of joy. The interior of the bar gave off a sort of crumbly vibe to me. The interior component reminded me of the inside of an After Eight, but, with chunky nuggets of chewy but beautiful dried Blueberries running through it. The Blueberry section of the bar, isn't the last stop on the texture train. The crispy white pearls give the bar some crunch. These balls are extremely crunchy! I wasn't expecting them to be as crunchy as they are.

As I mentioned in the section above, the bar starts off with the familiar Dairy Milk that everyone knows and loves. This means that when you put a piece of the bar in your mouth, you're hit with the creamy taste of Dairy Milk. Once this slightly sweet flavour has flooded your tastebuds, a creamy taste of Vanilla over takes the Chocolate flavour, but every so often, a hit of juicy Blueberry bursts on the tongue. After the Blueberry taste has diffused on the tongue, a wave of creamy White Chocolate envelops the tongue which leaves you wanting more.

Would I buy this again? Yeah, I would. I think that this is something very different in the Chocolate world, and I think that more companies should bring out fruit centric Chocolate products.

Have you tried this product yet? Have you tried any of the other products in the Inventors range?
