Lush X Community Body Scrubs 2025 | Botanomancy & The Comforter

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I was kindly sent some of the upcoming Lush X Community Body Scrubs by the lovely Community Team at Lush and I thought that today I would talk to you all about them!

The Lush X Community Ranges are all about letting you, the Lush Community, choose scents that you would like to see in a specific product and this time it’s the turn of Body Scrubs. Lush have been releasing some amazing Body Scrubs in the past year such as Sticky Dates, Intergalactic and The Old Songs Are Waking just to name a few!

The Body Scrubs in the Lush X Community Body Scrubs 2025 Range all contain Caster Sugar which helps to exfoliate the skin and a plethora of butters and oils which help to nourish the skin because well 2025 is all about having soft and supple skin!

The scents featured in this Lush X Community Body Scrubs Range are Karma, Posh Chocolate, Creamy Candy, The Comforter and Botanomancy.

I was kindly sent the Botanomancy and The Comforter Body Scrubs.

A wide angled photo of a light brown square box filled with green eco pops with a pink rectangular card that says limited edition body scrubs in white font with two cykdiencual plastic tall tubs next to it. One filled with green body scrubs with bits of white and pink swirled through with a green toned label that says Botanomancy body scrub lush in pink font next to a tub filled with purple and white scrub with a purple-red label with the comforter body scrubs in white font with lush underneath in the same font on a bright background

Botanomancy Body Scrub contains Caster Sugar, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Illipe Butter, Fair Trade Organic Mango Butter, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Ginger Oil, Pimento Berry Oil, Petitgrain Oil and West Timor Sandalwood Oil.

The blend of butters and oils such as Cocoa Butter and Olive Oil create a soft texture to the scrub that reminds me a bit of a firm marshmallow. I know that this may sound a bit weird but I’d say it’s squishy but firmer than the Body Wash Delights from Lush if you have tried them before. When I scooped some out of the tub, I noticed that I didn’t really have to put much pressure on the scrub to get some out of the tub. I massaged this into my skin and noticed that the sort of marshmallow like texture transformed into a luxurious creamy texture. I kept massaging this on my skin for a fair while because well I could feel how moisturising it was on my skin and I wanted to ensure that my skin was not only completely exfoliated but coated in the unique and rich scent of Botanomancy. (I was also having one of those days and just needed to take my time and really ensure that I pampered myself). I rinsed my body and noticed that my skin had transformed from feeling quite dry to soft and supple. (My skin has been going through it at the moment due to the weather in the UK right now especially parts of my body such as my arms that have felt quite rough and dry this past week).

Botanomancy shares the same scent as the 4:20pm Range at Lush. This range does contain CBD so sadly it does mean that some countries aren’t able to try out the range due to the laws in their countries. The best way to describe Botanomancy is imagine a spicy green scent and then multiply that by ten. The Patchouli and Ginger create a deep spicy scent whilst Petitgrain and Sandalwood add an element of a green woody note to the scent. I guess the best way to describe it is imagine the smell of burnt incense mixed with a forest. If you have tried Lord Of Misrule or Tramp from Lush and adored them then you will adore this.

The Comforter Body Scrub contains Caster Sugar, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Almond Oil, Bergamot Oil, Blackcurrant Absolute and Cypress Oil.

The scent of this Body Scrub is amazing. If you haven’t tried anything in The Comforter scent from Lush before then imagine a slightly creamy yet punchy Blackcurrant scent that just makes you feel soothed and well comforted… If you’ve not tried The Comforter from Lush  then imagine the scent of Ribena but even better and in bathing form! A strong fruity Blackcurrant scent that makes you feel happy and nostalgic of when you were a child.

I opened the lid to this Scrub when I received it and instantly fell in love. Fruity yet slightly creamy in all the best ways possible. The smell of this body scrub instantly took me back to years ago when I fell in love with The Comforter scent when I first picked up a The Comforter Bubble Bar and a tub of Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly.

I scooped a little bit of this glorious body scrub out of the tub and massaged it into my skin. I noticed that the scent intensified whilst massaging it into my skin which made me fall in love with the scrub even more than I thought I could. Whilst massaging it into my skin, I also noticed that it lathered into a skin nourishing serum like texture that just glided over my skin. Like Botanomancy, I spent a couple of minutes just massaging and taking in the scent and realising that sometimes all you need is a The Comforter bath to make everything feel better. When I stepped out of the bath, I noticed that my skin felt quite smooth and soft. It felt quite nourished which I wasn’t expecting as I thought that the serum like lather may not be enough for my dry skin but it really was! To truly review the scrub, I decided to test this on my hand and in the bath on two different occasions, on both occasions I could smell the scent on my skin for quite a while after scrubbing it off. If you want to really treat yourself during the miserable Winter time that is happening right now then I’d suggest pairing this with either The Comforter Bubble Bar or the new Lovestruck Bath Bomb from the Valentines Day Range or if you’re wanting a quick shower to prep you for the day ahead you could pair it with Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly, The Comforter Shower Gel that are back at Lush as part of the Archive Wall or even Posh Chocolate Shower Gel for truly scrumptious shower experience alongside The Comforter Body Spray. Trust me, not only will any of the combos that I’ve listed help you feel like you can conquer the day ahead but you’ll be smelling like an utterly delightful snack!

All of the Body Scrubs in this Lush X Community Range are available in a 135g and a 290g tub and are available to purchase in stores, online and on the Lush App in the UK. If you’re based in America then you’ll be available to purchase these amazing scrubs from the 25th February. Please check your countries Lush App to check if these scrumptious scrubs are available to purchase.

Have you managed to try any of the new Lush X Community Body Scrubs? What scents from Lush would you love to see in a Body Scrub format? Let me know!

I have tried and tested the rest of the range so do keep a look out for the blog post about the rest of the Lush X Community Body Scrubs that is coming very soon!

Thanks again to Lush for kindly sending me these two body scrubs. It really did make my day receiving these goodies!

Garnier Body Superfood Aloe Vera & Magnesium Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! Recently, I have been trying out the Body Superfood Aloe Vera and Magnesium from Garner. It was on offer at the time and I have been trying to get a little bit more into Magnesium lately so I thought that today I would talk to you all about this product and my thoughts on it after using it for the past two months.

A zoomed in photo of a blue and white cylindrical tub filled with white liquid cream with a blue and white label that says garmoer body superfood magnesium in black font on a bright background

‘Garnier Body Superfood Aloe Vera & Magnesium is formulated for normal to dry skin and enriched with two powerful key ingredients!

Aloe Vera is known for its powerful hydrating nutrients and cooling properties & Magnesium-PCA is a trending natural-origin mineral known for its soothing properties.
This powerful cream leaves the skin feeling instantly hydrated, up to 10 layers deep of the epidermis, for results you can feel and provides up to 48 hour moisturising.

With ingredients of 96% Natural Origin, this product is a vegan formula. All Garnier products globally are officially approved by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny Programme, the leading organisation working to end animal testing worldwide, and the recognised Cruelty Free Gold Standard.’ - Garner UK.

List Of Ingredients:

AQUA / WATER, GLYCERIN, ALCOHOL DENAT., ISOPROPYL PALMITATE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, MAGNESIUM PCA, AMMONIUM POLYACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CITRIC ACID, LINALOOL, GERANIOL, CITRONELLOL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE.

The first thing that I noticed when I opened the tub up was the scent. Scent is an essential feature to any beauty product in the culture that we live in today. When I sniffed the small amount that I had scooped out of the tub to test, the first note that my nose picked up was a very fresh note with a slightly citrus based background. I guess that this was the Aloe as I have noticed that in the products that I have used in the past that feature natural Aloe normally have a sort of fresh but citrus note to them. After applying and sniffing my body, the best way to describe the overall scent was spa like. You know the sort of watery yet fresh scent that you get when you first walk into a spa? Well imagine that but a little bit stronger with a touch for citrus blending into the background just to help everything sing a little bit more. The scent lingers on the skin for quite some time but pairs beautifully with more scents. I love this as it means I can apply it on first thing, layer it with the scent that I’m feeling that day and be on my way.

The texture of this product is amazing. Light but still moisturising which I adore as sometimes if I’m not feeling great or if I’m in a rush then sometimes I don’t want something super thick all over my body but as my skin is normally on the dry side I still want my body care products to be super nourishing to the point that I still want to feel soft and smooth the next day which this body cream definitely does.

I know what you’re all thinking? Does the Magnesium work and actually do anything for the body and I’m here to answer that burning question. In my personal opinion after using this product that features Magnesium-PCA in quite regularly for the past two months, I can say that it does. I suffer from pain quite easily due to having existing back pain and tension pain from suffering with Anxiety and every time that I have used this whilst being in some form of pain, I have noticed some difference. Some may say that it might just be a placebo effect but to me if something helps me to not be in pain so much I am more than fine to use it religiously. I have normally noticed that within an hour of massaging this body product into my skin after a long day or when I’m in quite a lot of pain I notice a difference and am able to relax a little bit more. The best way to use this product personally is to massage a good amount of the cream into slightly damp skin post bath/shower and leave it to nourish the body for a couple of minutes at most.

Would I buy it again? Definitely, I got it on offer for half price at Superdrug which meant that I got a big tub of this for under a fiver which to me is amazing value for money especially as you get 380ml. As a little bit goes a long way, this tub alone lasts for ages. I love how the scent is light enough to be layered with other fragrances and how quick it absorbs into the skin. I do also love the effects of the Magnesium used in this product as it helps to relax me when I need it and that it’s vegan which is always a plus point. My only problem with this product is the packaging. In my opinion, as it is a quite a heavy tub it makes it a bit clunky to travel with. I think that a travel size could be a good idea for Garner as it means that I could just whack it in my bag and take it on the go. I would give this product an 8.9/10.

Becoming All Things Ooky & Spooky With The Lord of Misrule | Lush Halloween 2022 Range First Impressions - Everything Else

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. If you read my last post then you will know that I have split up my first impressions of the Lush Halloween 2022 range into two blog posts.

Face:

Mr. Pumpkin Fresh Face Mask

Who’s this Mr Pumpkin you speak of? Who doesn't love a good face mask for those times when you need to just relax and have a little bit of me time. This mask contains Pumpkin Puree, Organic Pumpkin Seed Butter, Ground Pumpkin Seeds, Cinnamon Leaf, Lime, Sweet Wild Orange and Sicilian Red Mandarin Oils Yes that's right, this mask contains three different types of Pumpkin. The Butter gives the mask a very creamy texture to me whilst the Ground Pumpkin Seeds adds a bit of a gritty texture which helps to buff dead skin away. I normally need both of these in my skincare due to having dry yet acne prone skin due to lactose intolerance, stress and may other things. The scent of this product is delicious for me but I can also instantly get that it might be a bit overwhelming for some. I love spices and citrus so having a face mask that smells of both of them things is the best thing that I could have. If you have used Punkin Pumpkin then imagine that but in a face mask format. Priced at £10.

A large oval orange splurge of face mask with bits of grounded light brown seeds in on a white background

Pumpkin Sheet Mask

Who doesn't love a good Pumpkin shaped mask on their face? I'm surprised that this is the first time that Lush has released a Sheet Mask. This mask contains Pumpkin Puree and Brazilian Orange Oil. To me, I like the scent of this mask but I'm not the biggest fan of sheet masks in general. This one from Lush is more of a hydrogel sheet mask and to be frank I'm not the biggest fan of them either. Furthermore, when Luke got this out of the packet, it instantly ripped and caused a mess which I'm not a big fan of either. Priced at £6.

A round circular orange sheet mask with triangular cut outs to look like a pumpkin on a bright white background

Pumpkin Eye Pads

The Pumpkins have eyes... These eye pads contain Pumpkin Puree, Carrageenan extract and Activated Charcoal. I like the concept of these and that you can use them with the sheet mask to create a Jack-O-Lantern on the face but the shape just isn't the best for eyes themselves and with them being able to hydrate the eyes, the corners make it a bit troublesomee for the product to actually hydrate. I like the concept and they would be great for a themed pamper party or a night in but they just aren't for me. Priced at £3.50.

Body Spray:

Lord of Misrule*

It's time for the Lord of Misrule to spray their madness all over you. Everyone has been asking for it and finally Lush have decided to give it to the masses. This Body Spray contains Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Black Pepper Oil and Vanilla Absolute which creates the iconic LOM scent that everyone knows and loves. I love this Body Spray as it is the signature scent but in a new format. I have had a bit of a problem with this spray just due to the packaging as I travelled to see Alex with it and even when locked and in its own bag, the spray still managed to leak which shouldn't have happened but overall I love it. Priced at £25.

Candle:

Loed Of Misrule*

The Lord of Misrule is shining bright tonight! Who doesn't love a candle that smells like LOM and goes well with a LOM bath? This candle contains the iconic scent of LOM (Dark Sumatran Patchouli, Black Pepper and Vanilla Absolute) with a base of rapeseed wax, coconut oil, coconut wax and. castor wax. I love the candle but the scent is muted if you are a bit away from the candle itself even when its burning and honestly I'm not the biggest fan of the texture of the candle which has been created from the mixture of oils and waxes but I love it as a candle to use when I want something to burn whilst I'm having a bath. Priced at £12.

Lips:

Vampire Kisses Lip Scrub

Halloween is made for giving Vampire Kisses... This Lip Scrub contains a base of Caster Sugar and Organic Jojoba Oil and Juniperberry Oil and Sweet Wild Orange Oil. I love a good lip scrub to the point that I have far too many. This scrub kind of has a scent/flavour of sugary fizzy sour Grapes. If you've ever drank the Grape Fanta then imagine that but a little bit more tart. I like it but I feel like Lush have had better seasonal lip scrubs out. Priced at £6.50.

A glass cylindrical jar containing purple lip scrub with a black circular lid with vampire kisses lip scrub lush in white font on a bright background

Massage Bar:

Lord of Misrule*

Let the Lord of Misrule massage you from head to toe. This Massage Bar has a base of Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Organic Shea Butter and contains Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oi, Black Pepper Oil and Vanilla Absolute I quite like this massage bar but in my opinion it takes a bit of a while to get the scent to come through. Maybe it was just the one that I tried in store. I was kind of expecting it to be stronger in scent like the Joints one is but it might have been an issue with the batch that I tried or something. Priced at £8.

That's it for this years Lush Halloween range. There is the gifts and tin but I thought that I would just focus on the products this year. Let me know what your favourite product from the range is.

Lush Joints CBD Massage Bar Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about the Joints Massage Bar from Lush.

A light green oval massage bar with CBD 25mg engraved into it with a white piece of paper with black bunnies on it on a bright background

List of Ingredients:

Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Organic Castor Oil, Perfume, Patchouli Oil, Pimento Berry Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Ginger Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Celery Seed Oil, Cannabidiol in Hemp Seed Oil, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, *Citral, Coumarin, Eugenol, *Farnesol, *Geraniol, Isoeugenol, *Limonene, *Linalool

The scent of this bar is amazing to me. The main scent that comes out of this bar the most predominantly is Patchouli. I absolutely love Patchouli as it just smells so comforting to me. Sort of warming yet herbal at the same time. The other two oils that come out the most scent wise are the Ginger and Celery Seed Oils to me. The Ginger adds more of a spicy yet warning undertone which pushes the slightly warning properties of Patchouli (as just mentioned) that further bit more. The Celery Seed Oil added a touch of sort of herbal grassiness to the bar which cut through all the richness of the Patchouli, Pimento Berry and Ginger Oils to ensure that it’s not too cloying.

The best way to use a massage bar is to warm it up in your hands and then spread the warmed up residue onto your skin and massage that in. The Cocoa and Shea Butters melt beautifully and helps my skin feel a lot less dry and well like leather on those bad days…

Does this bar work? I think it does! Not only does it soften the skin but for myself the CBD oil has definitely helped my anxiety and aching joints. I’ve been trying this from the beginning of  the year and it has  definitely helped to ensure that my body is relaxed. Do I think that CBD may work differently for everyone especially when it’s in products such as this massage bar? Definitely! For this reason alone, I believe that it’s best to try this in store before buying if you can! I give this a 8.7/10.

Priced at £10.

Put The Lime In The Coconut | Lush Lime Bounty Body Butter Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about a brand new product from Lush that I have been loving at the moment.

Before shops were allowed to re-open, Lush released the Lime Bounty Body Butter. Sadly, I wasn't able to get it during those times, but now that shops have re-opened, I headed to the lovely Lush White Rose store and finally got my hands on it.

List Of Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Extract, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Murumuru Butter, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Triethanolamine, Persian Lime Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 45350, Colour 42090.

A photo of a large cylindrical black pot with lime bounty in large white font with lush in small white font with a white small circular white bowl filled with oval shaped green limes on a bright background

The scent of this product is sensational. The astringent Lime hits you right in the face when you open the tub which just makes you feel awake and ready to get on with your day. The Grapefruit and Lemon Oils blend together to help uplift the Lime Oil and round out the scent making it zingy and uplifting to the nose. Once the Lime has lovingly hit you in the face, the Coconut slowly comes through. This Coconut isn't an overpowering artificial scent, which sometimes appears in cosmetic products, but instead is, a well rounded slightly sweet Coconut which contrasts amazing with the luscious lime scent that is awaiting to have a party on your body.

The texture of this Body Butter is quite intriguing. To start off with, when you open the lid, you are met with what looks like Coconut Shavings, or, Desiccated Coconut, however, it is actually moisturising chunks of Shea Butter which have been made to look like strands of Coconut. When you scoop a bit of this beautiful Butter out of the tub, it is quite thick. Thick to the point that I decided to tip the tub upside down onto the lid, and nothing came out. Due to this, I expected the butter to be quite thick and although nourishing to the skin, a product that would take a long while to soak into the skin. However, this was not the case. The texture is slightly thick when scooped out of the tub, but as soon as it is applied to the skin, it becomes a ultra hydrating, instant sinking into the skin Body Butter. I absolutely adore that. I have dry skin, but sometimes waiting forever for a product to sink in just isn't for me, so, having the best of both worlds is the best thing ever for me. This Butter left my skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated all day long without any of the greasy feeling that some body products have which again is amazing for me as that residue sort of feeling can leave me feeling a bit off when I need to use my hands and such.

Would I buy this again? Definitely! This is a 9.5/10 for me. Why a 9.5? For me, I kind of wish the chunks at the top were kind of more mixed through... Having all of the shreds on top makes me not want to use it as it looks so pretty. If the chunks were more mixed through then I could enjoy the product and the chunks that little bit more. This product is priced at £7, which is affordable for a Body Butter as some other cosmetic companies charge doubler to triple for a Body Butter. Saying that, if you aren't a fan of Lime, or are allergic to Lime, like my friend Abbey is, then this product sadly isn't for you.

Lush Easter 2021 Range First Impressions

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about the Lush Easter range for 2021.

Follow The White Rabbit Bath Bomb

Let's see what happens when you follow the White Rabbit into the tub... This product is a brand new one just for Easter 2021. This product contains, Buchu, Sicilian Lemon and Bergamot Oils which create a very fresh citrus sort of scent which I absolutely adore. If you have tried Star Spell or anything under the Carrots or Snowman ranges at Lush then you will definitely love this product. I love how fresh it is as Easter is a time for all things sweet so it is nice to see that Lush have something to cut through all of that to bathe in. I've also seen what this bomb does in the tub and I can't wait to use it.

A white rabbit shaped bath bomb with streaks of pink, yellow, blue and purple on it on a bright background

Eggy Wegg Bath Bomb

Eggs are the definition of Easter. Again, this is a brand new product for 2021 and I was intrigued on this product, just from the design alone! This product contains, Sicilian Lemon and Spearmint Oil. When I smelt this when I got the order, it smelt like Pineapple with a splash of Mint to me. I know it has no Pineapple in at all, but it smelt just like Pineapple to me. It also reminded me of Summer and Cocktails. I also love the little fried egg sort of design on this bomb too as it makes it just that little bit whimsical and cute.

A pink spherical bath bomb with white and yellow circular egg salt shapes on a bright background

Flamingo Egg Bath Bomb

Legendary eggs! This product contains, Coarse Sea Salt, Sicilian Lemon and Vetivert Oils and Labdanum Resinoid. To me when I smelt this, I mainly got the Vetivert note with a tiny touch of Lemon, so I'm a bit unsure on how I feel about this product but it does look like such a pretty bath bomb.

A light pink oval egg shaped bath bomb with white and pink parts in the middle on a bright background

Golden Egg Bath Bomb

Lush heard your demands for Golden Geese and laid this Golden Egg into the world. This product has been at Lush for many years now and has become a favourite among customers. I adore this product and had to have one especially after the past year that we have all had. This product contains Brazilian Orange and Bergamot Oils to create a wonderful sort of honey-toffee scent which can be smelt for miles! This product also contains Cocoa Butter to ensure that you are nourished from the outside in. I absolutely love this but if you haven’t tried it before then I urge you to especially during lockdown as it will boost your spirits right up!

A small golden sparkled egg shaped bath bomb on a bright background

The Owl & The Pussycat Bath Bomb

This bath bomb looks adorable. I love the poem that this bath bomb is based off! This product contains, Gardenia and Synthetic Musk which weirdly creates a sort of candy floss and pear scent to me. If you’ve tried Creamy Candy Bubble Bar then imagine that but in a bath bomb, but it’s slightly too sickly for me. I like the scent every now and again so I think it will take me a while to use this. This product can also be used as three different products which makes it a perfect gift!

A light blue green boat shaped bath bomb with a purple cat and a yellow owl attached on a bright background

Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb Melt

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall into the tub! This product has been out in previous years at Lush, but, honestly the design of the old Humpty Dumpty, used to creep me out a fair bit, so I'm really glad that Humpty has had a glow up. This product shares the same scent as Golden Egg and Honey I Washed The Kids. The concept of this product is to get more than one  bath in total via cracking Humpty open! I think that this is an amazing gift for children to enjoy!

A human shaped light yellow, white and bright blue bath bomb on a bright background

Singing Daffodils Bubble Blower

Who doesn't love a Singing Daffodil? This product contains Everlasting Flower Absolute, Ylang Ylang and Tagetes Oils. This product is a new one for Easter 2021, but the concept has been out before at Lush. Not only can you use this as a bubble bar, but you can also use this to blow bubbles which I think is really cute. The scent to me was quite powdery and slightly floral when I smelt it so I think that I would use this more for when I want something to help me relax at night but is still fun to use. I also think that this would be amazing to buy for children or those who are forever a child within.

A bright yellow circular bubble bar with light green leaves attached to it on a bright background

Walter Bunny Body Scrub

Bunnies are meant for Easter! Lush are well known for their solid products, and especially, their solid scrubs, therefore, Lush have released a new cute scrub for Easter time this year! This product contains, The scrub part of this product comes from Cocoa Powder and Maizze Flour which gives a delicate scrub, which I love as sometimes I don't always want a full coarse salt scrub when I'm using natural based scrubs. This product also contains, Mimosa, Cocoa and Vanilla Absolutes. Honestly I mainly got a mix of the Cocoa and Vanilla when I smelt this and didn't really get much of the Mimosa. This also contains Shea and Murumuru Butters to give your skin a soft smooth feeling after you've scrubbed. I love anything that sorts my skin out like this, my only problem was the colour more than anything as I was a bit hesitant about spreading it all over my body to scrub and soften myself.

A golden slightly brown bunny laid down shaped body scrub on a bright background

Muddy Carrots Soap

I mean who doesn't need a soap that will sort out those green fingers? This soap contains, Fresh Carrot Infusion, Rhassoul Mud, Sandalwood, Grapefruit and Geranium Oils. I love the sort of carrot buried in mud design that this soap is evoking. From the scent alone, I get the Grapefruit and Geranium the most which creates a sort of tart yet slightly floral scent which I quite like.

A slanted square dark brown to black piece of soap with a triangular orange shape in the middle on a bright background

Avo Good Easter Soap

Who doesn't love a nice big Avocado... This soap was out in 2020 before the world became what it has. Not only does this soap look like a fresh Avocado with it's stone included, but smells as fresh as an Avocado too. This product contains, Bergamot, Litsea Cubeba, and, Olibanum Oils which creates a fresh citrusy scent to me but also Avocado Oil which keeps your hands nourished.

Two green oval pieces of soap with a gold spherical stone shape in the middle on a bright background

Funfetti Cake Lip Scrub

Let yourself eat Cake! Even though, the world now centralises itself around face coverings, you still need to make sure that your lips are in tip top shape underneath those masks and a lip scrub is a good way to do that. This scrub contains Caster Sugar, Fine Sea Salt and Sprinkles to give your lips a good scrubbing, and, Sicilian Lemon Oil and Vanilla Absolute to give a cake like scent. When I smelt this I kind of got a mix of sort of Candy Floss with a touch of Citrus and Cake Batter intertwined together. It also contains Jojoba Oil to ensure that your lips stay super soft. If you like sweet things then I think you will enjoy it but its a bit too sweet for me personally.

Everyone Come & Join The ManCave | ManCave Grooming

Hey everyone!

How is your day going?

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I bought some stuff from ManCave a while ago, and thought that I would try them for a while and then review them, so that's what I'm going to talk about today. (I've also heard good things about the Hair Styling products, let me know down below if you've tried them.)

Lemon & Oak Shower Gel

As this says, this shower gel is scented with Lemon and Oak Oils. Lemon helps to naturally cleanse skin, whereas Oak helps to uplift. This Shower Gel is amazing for using in the morning or for when you feel a bit groggy. I loved that the Lemon part of the Gel was a deep Lemon scent, compared to the general instantly sharp Lemon Curd-esque scent that most companies try to imitate in Shower products. This shower gel created such a creamy lather and moisturised my skin slightly. It's also priced at £4 which is pretty good for a mid market shower product.

A triangular shaped black bottle with ManCave in white font with lemon and oak shower gel in cursive yellow font on a bright background

Samdalwood Shower Gel

Mentioned above, I say that I thought that the Lemon and Oak was the best for the morning, I think that this is better for the mid-afternoon/evening. Tea Tree Oil helps to cleanse and soothe the body, whereas Sandalwood helps to relax the mind. I think that this product goes amazing with the Mancave Scrub that I'll be talking about later within this post. This shower gel reminds me of Autumn just from the spice and musk of the scent. The lather again is creamy and slightly moisturising. Priced at £4.

Sensitive Shower Gel

I do get sensitive sometimes, so I was glad that Mancave had a product to cover my needs for when my skin gets like that. This Shower Gel has a clean but subtle scent which is great for sensitive skin as it won't irritate the skin as much. This Shower Gel also contains Cucumber which soothes and slightly moisturises due to the water content. The lather is slightly more creamy with the Sensitive Shower Gel, but, I kind of like it due to having slightly dry skin. Priced at £4.

Blackspice Body Scrub

This was hands down my favourite product from the Mancave order I made! This Scrub contains Pumice and Charcoal Powder helps to scrub away at dead skin to reveal a new you. Black Pepper Oil and Cardamom Oil helps to soothe the muscles and give anti-oxidants to the skin. I love anything Spicy so this Scrub is the one! This would be fab first thing in the morning or last thing at night. Ah, I love this product! Priced at £5.

Caffeine Shampoo

Caffeine is the saviour of my life! Caffeine helps to stimulate and strengthen hair. I loved this Shampoo. It did exactly what it said, strengthen and stimulate. This is perfect to use first thing in the morning. Priced at £5.50.

New Exclusive Products, Christmas Products & More! | Lush Showcase 2018 Haul

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new post! If you have read my post about going to Manchester and the Lush Showcase, then you will know that I bought a fair few products. I know that you all love a good haul, therefore, I thought that it would be a good idea to tell you all what I bought.

A brown rectangular tag with we were all born naked and the rest is swag in black small font with LUSH in black font at the bottom on the top of a rectangular light blue tote on a white background

Exclusives

Like A Virgin Face Cleanser

Sadly with the exclusives, there were no list of ingredients, but the face cleansers have been added to the Lush Labs collection which is a godsend for me. This is a very luxurious and moisturising product. It contains Organic Extra Virgin Olive and Jojoba Oils, Sunflower, Candelilla, and, Mimosa Wax, and Lemon Myrtle and Sicilian Lemon Oils to awaken the skin and to ensure that the product smells of bright and zingy Lemons

A circular pale yellow bar with a circle of pink in the middle on a white background

Goldfinger Brush Strokes (Fresh Face Mask)

Brush Strokes are a new type of mask that was showcased at the event. The whole concept of them, is that you keep them in the fridge, and then you apply them with a face mask brush to ensure that you get an even coverage. The products were all named after metals such as, Bronze, Silver etc. I bought Goldfinger, which as you could guess is bright gold. The name is inspired by the illustrious and suave James Bond. The only way to get hold of the label and see what it says. From what I gathered, it contains Rose Wate, which will help to refresh and tone your face and Coconut Nectar. It is also made up of a mix of Talc and Cornstarch, which gives it a quite thick texture. The best way to compare it, would be with Rosy Cheeks from the stores.

A clear cylindrical plastic tub with a plastic circular lid with a black label with Goldfinger in bright white font with Brush Strokes in big white font with brush strokes in smaller white font with gold liquid inside on a bright white background

Minamisoma Regeneration Shower Bar

Minamisoma is inspired by Fukushima in Japan, with the well known disasters including the nuclear disaster, and the Japanese tsunami that happen some years ago. This also plays into part, as Lush are releasing a new store which contains at least over 70 new products. Sadly, I can't tell what ingredients are in this product but it smells a bit like the sort of Lemon and White Chocolate scent in Honey Trap/Sympathy For The Skin. It's a Naked Shower Conditioner, so you glide it over wet skin to create a silky lather and then rub it in and wash off to leave your skin soft.

#LushLabs Goody Bag

Well I got the goodie bag itself, which is a blue tie-dye colour with #LushLabs in big bold white font with a brown tag which says, 'We were all born naked, and the rest is swag, with a black LUSH logo at the bottom.

I also received some wonderful Lush themed stickers in various bright colours. I also received a iron on patch which is bright yellow with a white tub with bright blue water which says GONE BATHING underneath it.

I also was gifted Ticket To Scrub. Ticket To Scrub, is a body scrub that can be used in the shower or the bath,. It is a naked scrub which means that it comes in a full bar, and not a big black pot. This product contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Plum Oil, Osmanthus and Petitgrain Oils. If you like Plum Rain, then you would love this product. I shove it in the fridge before using it, mainly, as there is a lot of oils which means that it melts easily when in contact with warm skin.

Christmas

Bath Bombs:

Shoot For The Stars

SFTS has been out for many years, and is probably on my blog in a fiar few posts. Shoot For The Stars contains Orange and Bergamot Oils which weirdly give the bomb a toffee-like scent. It also contains gold glitter covered Cocoa Butter stars. If you love Honey I Washed The Kids/It's Raining Men, then you will love this one!

A bright blue spherical bath bomb with bright gold stars on a white background

Golden Wonder

Again, Golden Wonder has definitely made a fair few appearances on my blog. It was also within one of my first Lush Christmas haul posts. This bomb looks like a big golden present, which has a bold shade of blue in the middle of it. It contains gold edible stars in the muddle, which makes the bomb rattle when you purchase it. It contains Lime and Cognac Oils, which give the scent a deep citrus scent. If you love Bucks Fizz, or Bubbly, then you will love this one!

A chunky square gold sparkly bath bomb with a white chunky ribbon embedded into the top on a white background

Luxury Lush Pud

Luxury Lush Pud has been a regular at Lush within the Christmas period for many years, but this year, it has changed! It contains circles of different colours which explode in the bath, but it used to smell of Sleepy/Twilight. Now, it smells of Scrub, Scrub, Scrub/The Comforter Oil from the Comforter Spa Treatment. To make this scent, the product contains, Bergamot and Cypress Oils, and Cassis Absolute. It also contains a Candy Holly Leaf on top! If you like the Comforter Bubble Bar then give this one a try!

A spherical light pink bath bomb with circles of different colours including purple and green dotted on the bomb with a white top and a small circular red berry and spiky green leaves on a white background

The Worlds Smallest Disco

TWSD is a new product for this years Christmas Range. The bomb itself is black, but it has spots of colour all over it. The black is made out of a different mixture than the colours, therefore the black is a fast fizzer, and then the spots of colour are a slow fizzer so they'll appear in time. It contains Lime, Cognac, and, Grapeftuit Oils, which give it an uplifting scent with a little something extra. It also contains Popping Candy to give your bath a bit of a dancing tune, and Charcoal, which makes the bath black. If you like Secret Arts Jelly Bomb for it's colour, or Metamorphosis when it was out, then definitely give this one a whirl for the colour alone!

A spherical black bath bomb with circular dots of pink, green and yellow on a white background

Holey Night

O, Holey Night, the stars are brightly shining! This one does contain holes, so if you have a fear of them (the picture of the bomb will be below this, so if you get triggered from it, please read the last word then scroll past the photo as quick as you can). Holey Night also contains, Soya Milk Powder which will melt with the water, and make your skin silky soft. Sicilian Lemon, Rose, and Sandalwood Oils to give a slightly clean but deep scent. If you like products like Ickle Baby Bot, or, Once Upon A Time, then you might like this.

A light blue spherical bath bomb with white holes in the middle of it on a white background

Perle De Sel

Perle De Sel - pearl of the sea, is a new bath bomb that exudes elegance. It contains Coarse Sea Salt and African Sea Grains to show that it contains salt, and scrubs skin in the bath. It also contains Cassie Absolute, Rose Absolute, and, Nenzoin Resionoid (a synthetic musk. If you like Saucy Snowcake, or, Snow Angel then you will want to try this.

A white spherical bomb with gold flakes of sea salt in the centre of it on a white background

Santa Bomb Bomb

Santa Bomb Bomb is two bath bombs, one is the head and one is the body. Me and Luke bought one, and as it is two bath bombs, me and Luke decided to share it. This bomb contains Cocoa and Vanilla Absolute's. If you like character bombs such as the Chick & Mix then you will want to try this.

A red spherical bath bomb with black eyes and white features to look like a beard, with another spherical white bomb undeneath with red and black outlines to look like a santas outfit on a white backgoround

Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb

Everyone knows Snow Fairy! Snow Fairy is that pink scented fragrance that comes around every Christmas. It smells of Pear Drops, and comes in many forms. I decided to get the Jelly Bomb because it's a bit muted due to the Carrageenan which makes up the jelly. I can't wait to use this when I want something sweet. If you like Creamy Candy or Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment, then you will love this!

A bright bubblegum pink spherical bath bomb with white hexagons printed all over on a white background

Cheery Christmas

I got to make this one at the Showcase! Cheery Christmas is definitely one to perk you up! This one has a glittery white snowflake embedded into the top of it and smells of Pink Lemonade! It contains Sicilian Lemon and Buchu Oils, which will definitely perk you up and make you feel cheery and ready for the Winter season!

A red hexagonal shaped bath bomb with a white sparkly snowflake design embedded into the top on a white background

Bubble Bars & Bath Melts

Candy Mountain Yule Log

Candy Mountain, Charlie, Candy Mountain! Candy Mountain, the bubble bar sister to Snow Fairy is back for this Christmas period. Honestly, I'm not sure why its a 'Yule Log' this year, unless it means the sort of flatter/more compact design that it is this year. This contains the same Pear Drop scent that Snow Fairy possesses, and the same bright Pink colour too! If you like the Snow Fairy range, then you will want to try this!

A bright pink flat triangular bubble bar on a bright white background

Yog Nog Yule Log

Do you love creamy sweet scents? Do you like Caramel? If so, then you will love Yog Nog. Both Candy Mountain, and, Yog Nog, contain Fair Trade Cocoa and Shea Butters which must be the Yule Log part. This product contains Clove Bud Oil, Cinnamon Powder, Nutmeg Powder, Soya Milk Powder, and, Soya Yoghurt which will make your skin feel spicy and sweet, and will make it soft and luxurious, in the bath and on your skin. If you like Sea Salted Caramel Soap, then give this a try!

A square flat bubble bar with a light brown and gold checkered design on a white background

Plum Pudding Bath Melt

Who loves a good bit of Plum Pudding? This new bath melt contains Fair Trade Cocoa Butter to help it melt into the water to make sure your skin is luxurious. It also contains Whole Oats, Dried Apricots, and Almond Oil. The Oats help to scrub dead skin. It also contains Osmanthus and Petitgrain Oils, which give the melt a deep Plum scent. If you like Plum Rain, or Buche De Noel, then give this a try!

A purple semicircular bath melt with pieces of golden brown oats, black raisins, tied up in a purple mesh bag on a white background

Star Light Star Bright Bath Melt

Twinkle, twinkle, little star! SLSB has been on my blog quite a few times. This star contains an array of butters and oils to melt into the skin and bath smoothly. it contains silver lustre on the top which gives your bath an amazing sparkle. SLSB also contains Lime and Ginger Oils, which gives it an uplifting spicy scent. I love this one! If you like Monsters Ball, Ocean Salt, or, The Magic Of Christmas, then give this a try!

Face & Lips

Cranberry Fizz Lip Scrub

Festive season requires a lot of kissing, so prep your lips for all that puckering up! This scrub contains Caster Sugar, Jojoba Oil, Peach Kernel Oil, Cranberry Seed and Lime Oils, and Ginger Absolute to give your lips a bit of a tingle and moisturisation! I love this scrub because it tastes so sweet but has a kick afterwards and preps your lips so well! If you like Merry Berry, then give this a try!

A glass cylindrical pot containing red bright sparkly pieces of sugar on a white background

Rudolph Face Mask

With your nose so bright, from this face mask, won't you ride my sleigh tonight? This Jelly Face Mask comes with a little red nose! It contains, Fresh Orange Infusion and Juice, Kaolin, Cocoa Powder, Rhassoul Mud, Tangerine Oil, Cocoa Absolute and a few other goodies. The Cocoa Absolute makes it smell like Chocolate Mousse. The Orange gives it an Orange undertone, but also helps to tone the skin whilst using the mask. The Mud helps to cleanse the skin. The Cocoa Powder helps to ensure that the Face Mask has a consistent colour. Personally, I've smelt it and I haven't gotten any of the Orange coming through, but I'm not sure if it will until you actually apply it to the face? (Who's up for a full review for when I actually use it? Let me know down below!)

If It Can Moisturise Cassandra, It Can Moisturise You | Cetraben

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new post. Today, I thought that I would talk to you all about a few amazing beauty products, because well, we all love a good beauty product every now and again!

Cetraben in clear big bold light blue font with three ovals coloured with blue at the side of cetraben, with Complete Emolient Therapy in clear smaller thinner blue font on a white background.

Cetraben is a range of beauty products, for the face and skin, that are designed to help anyone manage problematic, dry and eczema-prone skin This wonderful line of products are suitable for sufferers of all ages. Cetraben helps to relieve discomfort, reduces the itch and the need to scratch it. Cetraben is not tested on animals and does not contain any ingredients derived from animals.

Cetraben sent me three different products to try out as a part of my beauty regime. Now, like with all the beauty products that I try, excluding makeup, I tried this for two weeks to ensure that I could give an honest review. The three products that Cetraben sent me were, Cetraben Daily Cleansing Cream, Cetraben Cream, and, Cetraben Cream.

Cetraben Daily Cleansing Cream is specifically formulated for use as a cleansing soap substitute, for use in the bath or shower, and as a daily moisturiser to keep skin hydrated and protected. Sadly, I didn't know that you could use it as a Moisturiser, so, I've stuck to using it as a cleanser, for when my skin has felt dry, or, for the morning after having something that includes lactose. (That is when my skin is normally at it's driest.) The product has a clean, yet, slightly medicinal smell to it, which is to be expected, due to it being mainly for dry skin/eczema, It was very smooth applying to the skin which is great, as, I could instantly tell that this would soften my skin, compared to something that is harsh/something that will be a little extreme on my skin. Once I had ensured that I had rinsed all of the product off my skin, I could instantly tell a difference. My skin felt smoother, brighter and clearer. I thought that it would be best, but it felt like a product where I wouldn't need to shove on moisturiser, if I was in a really bad rush.

The Cream, and, Lotion in the Cetraben range, are simple to apply. The Cream and Lotion come packaged with a pump dispenser, helping you avoid mess and waste while ensuring easy and measured applications whenever you need them. I used the Cream mainly on my face and neck area, whereas, I use the Lotion for the rest of my body. I'm not sure if I'm meant to do that. I loved both of these products due to ensuring that my skin stays dry, for the entire day, no matter what I am doing. Whether that be something like a day at University, a bloggers event or hanging around with friends. The scent is the same as the Cleansing Cream, therefore, I think that if you have a fragrance, that doesn't irritate you that much, then it would go perfect with the clean scent of these products. The pump packaging ensures that, you can pump some product out andf apply it quickly, compared to other beauty products where you end up spending ten minutes, trying to get through the packaging. This ensured that my whole body was still soft, even after having lactose, which I absolutely loved!

I think that if you need a touch of moisture (like myself) in your life, or, you suffer from eczema, then Cetraben is the brand for you. I am still a bit unsure about the scent of the product, but it's not what it smells like, it's the purpose of the product (which is to solve dryness which it absolutely does).

Have you ever tried Cetraben? Let me know down below!

If you haven't checked out Cetraben, then please do so!

I hope that you have enjoyed this little beauty based post. I know that I haven't posted in a whole, due to personal reasons, but I'm starting to publish again, and I would love for you to come back and read the next post!

You're Totally Awesome! | The Body Shop Briggate Mothers Day Showcase

Hey!

A while ago, I was invited to The Body Shop's Mothers Day event and I thought that I would tell you guys about it. I know that it's past Mothers Day now but I hope that you still enjoy this post nevertheless.

Myself and Luke were already in Leeds due to coming in to review the wonderful Bar Soba but like per usual we came in a bit early and decided to do some shopping. We wandered around a few shops and then headed to Costa to have a breather for a few minutes because honestly Luke gets tired quickly from swishing his cane and I get tired quickly from guiding him. After a while, we decided that we would wander on over to The Body Shop for a quick look as I wanted to check out a few of their masks and the new Liquid Peels.

We wandered in and found the face masks quite easily. After a minute or so, a staff member came up to us and remembered that we were bloggers from a previous event and asked if we were coming to the event that was going on later on in the day. We sadly said no. The staff assistant was confused and grabbed the clipboard. After doing this, she asked if we wanted to come and of course we said yes!

Fast forward to later on in the day.

As soon as we arrived back at the beautiful building, we were greeted by a wonderful staff member of staff. After about thirty seconds, someone came up to us and offered us something to drink. We both got a glass of Prosecco to begin with but I normally only drink one glass due to the fact that I get a burning sensation in my chest after drinking it so I drank some lovely refreshing fruit juice for the rest of the night after that one glass.  We perused some of the products such as the Fuji Green Tea range until a few other bloggers entered.

Ten minutes or so passed by then we were all gathered around to have a masterclass about fragrances which included an interesting talk about babies and their relationship/attachment with scents and how certain smells can make a memory come to life. The lovely woman then came around with testers of scents such as White Musk (which contains synthetic musk to ensure that animals aren't harmed to extract it for the product) and other scents from The Body Shop.

Perfume bottles had been spritzed and now it was time to let us roam but as soon as we did roam, a lovely woman came up to us and asked if we wanted any delicious canapes (both savoury and sweet) which I obviously said yes to. The ones that I definitely loved were the Brownie mainly because I love a good Brownie and the mini meringue that had a raspberry in the middle which made it look like a pretty flower which seems fitting for the Spring season.

Myself and Luke then went to the personalised body butter station where we could personalise a body butter for our loved ones (eg Mothers) or if you're me then you can personalise it for yourself. When it comes to the personalised body butters (which are only available in certain stores) you pick what you want on the front, the text eg Jamie, Mum etc and then it goes onto your body butter. As the Almond Milk & Honey range was brand new to the public, we were given a personalised tub of this. I love this scent as it's clean but sweet. It reminds me of summer nights and sun tan lotion which sounds weird I know but if you smell it you'll get what I mean.

There was also a massage station but honestly myself and Luke just wanted to go home so we said our goodbyes to everyone including the lovely Lucinda and Lucy (who we spent the night chatting to) and made our way out of the store and headed for home.

We received a goodie bag to share which we shared which included a bottle of the White Musk EDT, a mini British Rose Body Butter, a mini pot of Vitamin E Moisture Cream, a mini Green Tea Shower Gel, a mini Moringa Body Scrub and a mini Shea Hand Cream. The goodie bag also included the Contour Palette and The Poppy Red Lip Palette.

Have you been to The Body Shop lately? Let me know down below!

Thanks to the staff at The Body Shop Leeds Briggate and the PR staff at The Body Shop for putting on a great night and for inviting us!

I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post and I hope that you come back for the next post.
