AD | Gifting A Hopeless Romantic The Ultimate Skincare Routine | Lush February 2026 Fresh & Flowers Box

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The wonderful Fresh Team at Lush kindly sent me the February Fresh and Flowers Box and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it!

I know that this post is late but I do like to take my time to properly try products out and sadly things have been busy lately. Well busy on top of recovering from a throat infection that was brutal. Sorry for this blog post going up as late as it has!

A photo of a large rectangular light brown table with a rectangular black box filled with flowers with a clear piece of parchment on the top that says hopeless romantic Lush fresh and flowers box in black font with two circular pots one filled with a light body scrub with a light yellow circular label that says peachy body scrub Lush in black font and the other one in a darker red and orange circular label with sweetie hydrating fresh face mask Lush in black font that is filled with a light pink fresh face mask with a turn a tab above it that is in the shape of the word cutie with a light pink colour and some Luster to it with a circular cylindrical rock shaped solid piece of body butter with some red love hearts on it and a golden bear first shaped facial gummy from Lush in the scent of the iconic viral fragrance super milk with some red flowers next to it on a bright background

PeachyBody Scrub

It's time to get peachy keen!

Ingredients:

Kaolin, Aqua (Water), Prunus Persica Fruit (Peach), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Shell Powder (Ground Almond Shells), Prunus Persica Kernel Oil (Peach Kernel Oil), Glycerin, Prunus Persica Fruit Extract (Peach Powder), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Seed (Ground Almonds), Parfum, Artemisia Pallens Herb Oil (Davana Oil), Canarium Commune Gum Oil (Elemi Oil), Citrus Paradisi Peel Oil (Grapefruit Oil), Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil (Tagetes Oil), Prunus Persica Leaf Extract (Dried Peach Leaf Extract), Tilia Europaea Flower Extract (Dried Lime Tree Flower Extract), Sucrose (Sugar), Saccharide Hydrolysate (Invert Sugar Syrup), Citric Acid, Geraniol, Citral, Farnesol, Limonene, Linalool.

Who doesn't love a good Body Scrub to start their self care routine off with?

Peachy Body Scrub contains Ground Almond Shells, Kaolin and Ground Almonds. This trio of gorgeous goodies help truly cleanse the skin and get rid of dirt and impurities on the body as the Kaolin helps to draw them out. Peachy Body Scrub also contains Peach Keenel Oil which hydrates the skin so your skin feels beautifully clean without feeling too stripped. I mean I don't know about you but I want to feel smooth and cleansed without my skin feeling stripped and irritated when I've used a Body Scrub.

Peachy contains a plethora of beautiful oils to create a gorgeous fragrance that helps to perk you up first thing in the morning and makes you feel like you can get up and do anything with the day ahead. Well it does to me anyway.

Peachy contains Davana, Grapfruit, Tagetes, Elemi and Peach Powder which blend together to create a truly bright and zingy Peach fragrance that has a sort of sherbet edge to it. I know that i said that it perks me up first thing in the morning when I've been using it but I think that it also reminds me of warm weather and wanting to go on holidays which makes it a great product to use when the days are a bit dull and dreary during that sort of end of winter/beginning of spring time that we are in at the moment.

Sweetie Fresh Face Mask

Hello Sweetie!

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Kaolin, Calamine (Calamine Powder), Fragaria Vesca Juice (Fresh Strawberry Juice), Zea Mays Starch (Cornstarch), Acer Saccharum Sap (Maple Syrup), Sucrose (Caster Sugar), Citrullus Vulgaris Fruit Extract (Fresh Watermelon), Punica Granatum Fruit Juice (Pomegranate Molasses), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil (Bergamot Oil), Boswellia Carterii Oil (Olibanum Oil), Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Geranium Oil), Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Alcohol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Parfum, CI 45410:2, CI 77491.

Sweetie contains Fresh Strawberry Juice and Fresh Watermlon. Both of these help to give a fruity edge to this gorgeous face mask. Not only that but Strawberry and Watermelon are both well known for their intensely hydrating properties. As I have mentioned in a fair few blog posts by now, my skin leans towards being in the dry and irritated side when it comes to trying to define my skin type. My skin fluctuates quite vastly and can range from dry and irritated to being coated in breakouts and needing a detox during a hormonal or stressful time. I've used Sweetie a fair few times since receiving this Fresh and Flowers Box and I do have to state that my skin has felt absolutely gorgeous since using this face mask. Not only has my face felt plump, hydrated and all over nourished but my skin has also been left with a wonderful glow after using this face mask which I absolutely adore. I am a sucker for a glowy face or for any skincare products that help to give a glowy look to my face.

Sweetie also contains Maple Syrup and Pomegranate Molasses which helps to moisturise the skin wonderfully. I noticed a massive improvement in the moisture of my skin as my skin is on the dry side and after using this mask I only had to go in with one of the two moisturisers that I use daily that are quite rich and emollient.

Sweetie contains Bergamot, Olibanum and Geranium Oils which blend together to create a really strong powdery yet slightly sweet Strawberry fragrance that reminds me of a mixture of Strawberries and Cream and Strawberry Laces with a slightly floral edge in the background. If you have tried Strawberry Feels Forever or D'Fluff and loved the scent then you will adore the fragrance of Sweetie as they share the same scent!

I think that Sweetie would be an amazing product if it was sold in stores all year round for anyone who loves anything that helps with their dry skin or wants something that will help to give them a glowy base before going on a night out. I also think that anyone who loves the iconic, legendary River Song from Docto Who would love this face mask given to them as a gift with the references in the Fresh Face Masks name...

Cutie Toner Tabs

These Toner Tabs are going to help you look and feel like a right cutie!

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Alcohol Denat., Parfum, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Geranium Oil), Citrus Limon Peel Oil (Lemon Oil), Rosa Damascena Extract (Rose Extract), Rosa Damascena Flower Oil (Rose Oil), Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis Flower Powder (Hibiscus Flower Powder), Aqua (Water), Rosa Centifolia Flower (Dried Red Rose Petals), Centaurea Cyanus Flower (Red Cornflowers), Titanium Dioxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, *Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, CI 45410:2, CI 77491.

I know that Toner Tabs may be a new concept for some of you that are reading this blog post so I thought that it may be best to explain what they are and how to use them. Toner Tabs are solid tablets that are full of skin care goodies and excellent essential oils that can be taken on the go and are great for when you're travelling or for when you're going to a friends house to have a superb self care evening! The best way to use the Cutie Toner Tabs is to break each letter off and imagine each letter as one use. Once you've snapped a letter off, pop into a bowl of hot water and let the toner tab dissolve into the water. Once done you can use to wash the Sweetie Fresh Face Mask off with or bottle it up into a toner spray that you can use whenever wherever. I've snapped one of the letters off and bottled into an old toner spray bottle to use whilst I'm on the go, on the train, out for the day or for when I need a top up as I've been getting randomlh warm and a bit shaky recently when out so it's really helped with that personally.

Cutie Toner Tabs contain Geranium Oil, Rose Oil and Lemon Oil which blend together to create a truly delectable sweet rose scent that has a burst of citrus that helps to make the floral Rose and Geranium pop. If you're a fan of Rose Jam from Lush then you will love Cutie Toner Tabs as they share the same scent.

Talking of Rose Oil, not only does it help to scent these toner tabs with a beautifully sweet floral fragrance but Rose Oil is also known for helping to soothe the skin and calm down redness which I am always in need of. My skin has a big tendency in flip flopping between dry and irritated  especially during the end of Winter and beginning of Spring. As I've mentioned in other blog posts I suffer from hormonal skin problems and my skin gets irritated from weather changes and other factors such as stress easily so having something that I can bottle up and whack in my big bag of goodies and just spritz when I notice that my skin doesn't behave has been an absolute delight.

After using Cutie for a fair while now I can totally say that my skin has calmed down and stopped being so red and irritated of late which I absolutely adore because my skin being irritated and visibly red has affected me going out sometimes due to being a little bit self conscious. I know I shouldn't be but that's just not how it works, you know?

Lush do state on their website and app that you can split the letters of Cutie up and use them throughout the month or share with a partner, friend or loved one. When I received my box I noticed that my Cutie Toner Tabs were split into two which may have happened during delivery which I was a bit sad about but after reading that they're meant to be shared I was kond of delighted as it meant I could gift the smaller chunk that had snapped off and I could save the bigger piece for myself to use and try out. I've still not decided on who I'm gifting the other part to but it'll likely be Luke or my partner who receives them.

Hunny Bear Facial Gummy

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Propylene Glycol, Mel (Honey), Chondrus Crispus Extract (Carrageenan Extract), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Organic Almond Oil), Avena Sativa Kernel Flour (Fine Ground Oatmeal), Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract (Vanilla Extract), Litsea Cubeba Fruit Oil (Litsea Cubeba Oil), Styrax Tonkinensis Resin Extract (Benzoin Resinoid Extract), Alkanna Tinctoria Root Extract (Alkanet Extract), Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Coumarin, Limonene, Parfum, CI 45410:2, CI 77491.

honey isn't just for bears, it's for your gorgeous face too.

Hunny Bear contains Honey and Fine Ground Oatmeal. Honey is known as a humectant which helps to ensure the moisture is locked into the skin whilst also being known for being antibacterial. Fine Ground Oatmeal helps to scrub away dirt and impurities whilst being soft and soothing to the skin which means that it's a perfect scrub for those with sensitive skin. I did notice that after lathering this gummy onto my face that there was a very light scrub which I used to scrub away dirt and SPF after a long day. I quite like how it was a light scrub as sometimes after a long day or when I've felt unwell I've just wanted a light scrub where I don't have to scrub too hard. I also noticed that the honey did help to make my skin feel more moisturised and nourished after using it on a night before applying my night serums.

Hunny Bear contains Vanilla, Litsea Cubeba and Benzoin which blend together to create a gorgeously sweet creamy fragrance that has a blast of citrus to it. If you're a fan of the viral icon that is Super Milk Hair Primer from Lush then you'll love this facial gummy as it shares the same fragrance as Super Milk. To me this is Super Milk but I'd say it leans more on the creamy smoky side rather than the lemon citrus side of Super Milk (I don't know if it leans more on the smoky side due to the addition of fresh honey) but it would be a perfect addition to a Super Milk routine if you adore the scent as a whole. I've been using it for a while and I really like it. I was a bit dubious about using Super Milk on my face but it mellows out a tiny bit when you lather it on your face.

I love all things honey and all things bears so I thought I was going to love this little cutie and I truly do. I think that the facial gummies are a great easy product to use first thing in the morning or last thing at night or for when you want something small and compact to travel with!

Mon Cheri Enfleurage

Mon Cheri, this Enfleurage is going to make you swoon over me...

Ingredients:

Persea Gratissima Fruit Butter (Avocado Butter), Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter), Prunus Avium Seed Oil (Cherry Kernel Oil), Parfum, Theobroma Cacao Extract (Cocoa Extract), Prunus Amygdalus Amara Kernel Oil (Almond Essential Oil), Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Coumarin, *Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, CI 45410:2, CI 77491, Rosa Centifolia Flower (Fresh Red Rose Petals), Bellis Perennis Flower Extract (Fresh Daisy Flowers).

I know some of you may be slightly confused on what an Enfleurage is so I thought I'd explain before I talk about Mon Cheri. A Lush Enfleurage is a block of gorgeous butters and oils scented with beautiful essential oils that help to hydrate, and nourish the skin whilst ensuring that the body glows and looks and smells gorgeous. Lush's Enfleurages are inspired by the viral well known Ice Cream Rolls and in turn are rolled up into a gorgeous ice cream roll inspired shape before being shipped out to everyone to enjoy and use. If you've used a Massage Bar from Lush then imagine a slightly softer creamier version of that rolled up to look like an ice cream roll.

Mon Cheri contains a plethora of butters that help to soften the skin such as Avocado Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Cherry Kernel Oil. Not only do they hydrate the skin beautifully so you feel smooth, soft and supple but they also give the enfleurage a sort of base scent which helps the essential oils to project more and project on the skin quite vividly. The Cocoa Butter and Cherry Kernel Oil blend together to give a comforting light chocolate cherry fragrance that is warm and fruity.

Furthermore. Mon Cheri does contain glitter so this enfleurage would be perfect to use before going out for a special occasion, a night out or just for when you want to sparkle and glisten as the butters and oils help to hydrate the skin whilst the glitter sparkles under daylight or say candlelight on a date. I know that some aren't the biggest fan of glitter but honestly I say all the glitter and more. You can never have too much glitter in my eyes!

Mom Cheri contains Cocoa and Almond Essential Oil which in my opinion blends with the Cocoa Butter and Cherry Kernel Oil to create a beautifully decadent and rich fragrance that reminds me of a Black Forest Gateaux that has a touch of nutty Almond in the background that makes it smell like a mixture of Cherry Bakewell and Black Forest Gateaux. I know that may sound a touch sickly to some but I absolutely adore it. If you have been loving the Love Bug Scrubee or the Cherryish Body Spray then you will love this Enflsurage as they share the same scent. I used a tiny bit of this Enfleurage after using the Love Bug Scrubee, Happy Holidays Shower Gel and then applied Cherryish after before going out for a day of food and adventure in Leeds and I smelt and felt absolutely gorgeous!

I love this Fresh and Flowers Box as a whole. It's seductive it's fruity, it's fun. It's everything that you want from a Fresh and Flowers Box from Lush that focuses upon romance and love via using fresh ingredients in beauty products. Recently Lush announced the discontinuation of this subscription box after April and honestly I am gutted about it as I love the subscription box. It's always based around amazing concepts with beautiful products! When this box comes through my letter box it brightens my whole week up and makes me excited to delve into the box and see what products lush have curated for the month!

Did you grab the February Fresh and Flowers Box? If so let me know your thoughts on the box and the contents down below and on social media!

Thanks to the amazing Fresh Team at Lush for sending me this amazing Fresh and Flowers Box! It truly made my February and helped me to get over a really intense throat infection!

AD | Starting That Skincare New Years Resolution Off Gently | Lush Cosmetics Gentle Cleansers 2026

  Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The wonderful and lovely team at Lush White Rose kindly gifted me three of the brand new Gentle Cleansers from Lush that have just been released so I thought that to I would talk to you all about them!

All three of the Gentle Facial Cleansers that are mentioned within this blog post are inspired by the cult classic that is Ultrabland Facial Cleansers from Lush. These brand new facial cleansers are vegetarian friendly but not vegan friendly due to the inclusion of Honey and Beeswax.  All three (and Oat) come in beautiful glass jars which hark back to a retro era of Lush Cosmetics whilst using recycled packaging to house brand new products for those who love Lush to try out.

A wide angled photo of three cykdiencual small black glass pots filled with light white cleansers inside with black rectangular panels (one says açai and sacha inchi vitamin e cleanser lush, one says honey, almond oil and vessels facial cleaner lush and one says turmeric and argan oil facial cleanser lush in white font) on a bright background

Açai & Sacha Inchi Cleanser (£16)

Ingredients:

Fair Trade Organic Sesame Oil, Juniperberry Water, Beeswax, Fair Trade Organic Brazilian Honey, Organic Sacha Inchi Oil, Açaí Oil, Fresh Fennel Extracted In Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fresh Turmeric Root Extracted In Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Glycerine, Manuka Honey, Juniperberry Oil, Rosemary Oil, Kenyan Geranium Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Tincture of Benzoin, Benzoic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate, Limonene.

'We might not be able to help you with your recent breakup, but a cleanse with clarifying, calming acai oil can help with the breakouts. Vitamin E-rich sacha inchi oil provides lightweight hydration to wash away your woes in a balancing, non-sticky and non-stripping oil-based formula. Now, please ditch the 3-in-1 face wipes!' - Lush UK.

When I first heard about the brand new cleansers via a press release from Lush, I was intrigued to try all of them but I was super interested in trying the Açai & Sacha Inchi one. As someone who suffers from acne prone skin quite a lot due to hormonal breakouts, stress and being lactose intolerant. Having all of this causes me to break out quite often  has caused acne scars to form in the past which have made me super unconfident to go out and get on with my day. Due to all of the above, an acne prone Cleanser sounded right up my street. This Açai and Sacha Inchi Cleanser contains Juniperberry Oil which is known to control excess sebum. Alongside Juniperberry, Açai Oil also helps with breakouts due to being able to clarify the skin thus helping to remove dirt and impurities from the face. I've been using this Cleanser for a fair while now mainly targeting a couple of raging spots and I have noticed that after using this cleanser my spots have looked reduced and less like they're a step away from having a voice of their own and screaming my house down.

Talking of Açai Oil, Açai and Sacha Inchi Oils create the basis of this cleanser with all of its lovely skin helping properties but also creates an interesting scent that I have been really enjoying. The Açai, Eucalyptus, Geranium and Sacha Inchi blend together to create a fruity berry fragrance with a sort of deep smoky element to it. I guess a bit like smoking berries on a barbecue in a fresh open slightly grassy garden. I think that the scent may be a bit marmite for some but I really quite like it. The scent is there whilst you massage this lovely gentle cleanser into the skin helping to reduce any breakouts that you're having and getting rid of any dirt on the skin. I did notice that after rinsing this cleanser off, the scent was quite subtle so I think that if you're a bit unsure on the scent then I think that you should try and grab a sample and try it out especially if you're someone who needs help with breakouts but wants skin that feels healthy, hydrated and not stripped.

As skin is unique I think that it's always a good idea to grab a sample of skincare from Lush to test out to see if your skin falls in love with it or not. If you do grab a sample of any of the Cleanswrs then do let me know your thoughts via the comments section or social media.

This fantastic cleanser contains two main oils that help to create a gorgeous lightweight feel to this cleanser which ensures that this cleanser can get to the core of your breakouts without  causing the skin to become dry or  strip the skin. The first oil that helps to create the base of this Cleanser is Sesame Oil. This Clenaser actually contains over 35% Sesame Oil. Sesame Oil is a natural source of Vitamin E which is known to help soothe and protect the skin which we all need after our skin has been through an angry breakout attack. The second is Sacha Inchi Oil which also contains a good chunk of Vitamin E but is known for its hydrating and lightweight properties which means that this cleanser helps to hydrate the skin and doesn't strip it. As I have mentioned I have been using this cleanser lately to try and target a couple of raging spots on my face and get them from raging to calling and being on their way off my face. When I scooped a bit of this cleanser from the pot and worked it into a lather, I was surprised that instead of a lather this cleanser created a sort of light serum texture that was definitely lightweight and nourishing. I was surprised because I wasn't expecting it to be as lightweight as it was nor was i expecting it from a cleanser that has a sort of light whipped balm texture when you first look at it when you unscrew the lid from the glass jar. When I washed this gorgeous cleanser off my skin I felt that my skin felt majorly improved. Less rough, dry and honestly less  like the feeling of the singer of a heavy metal band singing and screaming their lungs out on my face to more of a tired couple having a pointless argument I the middle of a shop which I was thankful for as my spots have been that bad recently. With using this cleaner regularly on the one area that I've had the worst breakout on I have noticed that the spots have reduced massively and are slowly on their way to being gone but obviously with breakouts it takes time even when you're using a cleanser that's full of ingredients that help to reduce breakouts.

Honey, Almond Oil & Beeswax (£17)

Ingredients:

Almond Oil, Rose Water, Beeswax, Honeycomb, Fresh Iris Flower Extracted In Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Glycerine, Tincture of Benzoin, Benzoic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate.

'Lush Co-Founder, Mark Constantine, first created this blend using raw honeycomb from the bees he kept. Staying true to this formula, we’ve used over 3% raw honeycomb for its clarifying and hydrating action, it also helps keep this formula self-preserving. We’ve wrapped your cleanser in a beeswax cone, a natural alternative to plastic packaging. Pop it into your compost bin along with the cellulose wrapper (just remove the label first) once your cleanser is finished.' - Lush UK.

This brand new cleanser contains over 3% Raw Honeycomb which contains Raw Honey that has been sourced from Brazil and supports local communities and reforestation. Honey is known for being a humectant for the skin. This essentially means that the Honey will help to lock moisture into the skin which for anyone with dry skin or skin that gets affected by cold weather then Honey is an amazing ingredient for you. After using this cleanser for a while,  I did notice that my skin felt more plump and less dry. Following on from this, Almond Oil is known for helping to plump the skin and protecting the skins barrier due to its nourishing properties and again after using this cleaner for a while, my skin did feel a lot more plump. As I've mentioned in this post my skin tends to be on the dry side with some acne prone properties to it so if my skin feels nourished then it's easy to tell.

As this cleaner doesn't contain a lot of ingredients, it lends itself to being an unscented cleaner. I love my cleansers that have a bit of a scent which I know might be a bit controversial saying so but sometimes a scent to my skincare can help me to do it a little bit more first in the morning. However, I do grasp why a lot of people enjoy unscented skincare as it means that skin is irritated less for those who are sensitive to fragrances. As I know that this cleanser lends itself towards the unscented category of skincare, I have been using this on the regular on a night as a first cleanse of a double cleanse routine. All of these cleansers are inspired by the OG Ultrabland which I have used regularly as a first cleanser after a long day or a day of wearing makeup on top of my regular skincare routine and SPF so I was definitely intrigued to see if I could see if there was a difference between the two. I do have to say I did. I think that due to the very high percentage of Almond Oil and Iris Flowers extracted in Olive Oil I noticed that the Honey, Almond Oil and Beeswax Cleanser was lighter in texture compared to Ultrabland. I do love Ultrabland but I know a fair few people do find it a bit on the heavy side when it comes to removing dirt, impurities and makeup and that it can leave a layer on the skin post washing it off. In my opinion, there is none of that with Honey, Almons Oil and Beeswax. I think that this could be a good replacement for the Summertime maybe? I do wish that I had this available when I was in Hong Kong to remove my skincare and makeup when the weather over there was quite humid. Trust me I'll definitely be sticking to Ultrabland for when I've got really dry skin due to the weather or my skin is having one of those days  but if I'm in a rush or if I want something a bit lighter when my skin is feeling a bit bleh then I think that I'll definitely be using this. Is it bad I'm tempted to see what double cleansing with both of these together would be like? I might try it when I've got a full face on (full coverage foundation, glitter, highlighter, a dark lip etc) and let you know what I think about it. If you have been looking for a truly unscented cleanser that is light on the skin but can do everything that you need it to then honestly I think the wonderful people at Lush have made your dreams come true!

Turmeric & Argan Oil (£17)

Ingredients:

Rice Bran Oil, Vanilla Water, Beeswax, Fair Trade Organic Brazilian Honey, Fairly Traded Honey, Fresh Turmeric Root Extracted In Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Glycerine, Organic Argan Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Vanilla Extract, Sandalwood Oil, Australian Sandalwood Oil, Guaiacwood Oil, Tincture of Benzoin, Buriti Oil, Vanillin, Benzoic Acid, *Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate, Farnesol.

'Lavish mature skin in antioxidant-rich oils and fresh turmeric for radiant results. With a cleanse like this, you’ll only get better with age.' - Lush UK.

This brand new cleanser contains over 40% Rice Bran Oil which is a natural source of Squalane. Squalane is known within the beauty industry for being a lightweight active ingredient that moisturises the skin richly whilst sinking into the skin quite easily. Turmeric and Argan Oil also contains Argan Oil obviously. Argan Oil is known for being a gorgeous ingredient for bringing moisture to the skin and for its gorgeous glowing properties which when blended with Fresh Turneric which is also known for giving the skin a gorgeous glow amplifies the benefit and helps you to glow for the gods.

I am very much into my glowing for the gods phase and I have to admit that alongside my skin feeling quite moisturised and not dry that my skin has been glowing for the gods and has looked a lot more radiant which I have been loving because my skin becomes slightly dull during the colder months and therefore I normally try and compensate with more glowing beauty products and makeup during the Winter time but since trying this cleanser I've been skipping at least one of these products so that shows how radiant my skin has looked.

Alongside a plethora of hydrating and glowing ingredients that helps to make skin look healthy, this gorgeous cleanser contains both Sandalwood and Vanilla Water. Sandalwood not only gives this cleanser a slightly resinous and deep woody fragrance but also helps to tone the skin whilst Vanilla Water is known for soothing the skin. The blend of Sandalwood and Vanilla creates a sweet and creamy fragrance with a slightly woody background. I am not going to lie, with this Cleanser being Turmeric centric I was expecting this cleanser to smell like the iconic Turmeric Latte fragrance from Lush however I quite like Vanilla so I wasn't too mad. If youre looking for a product that will create the base of a gorgeously hydrating and glowing skincare routine and also love scents from Lush like the fan favourite Yummy Custard then I think that you'll love this cleanser.

I haven't fully tried out the Oat Cleanser that is a part of this range but when I do I will do a post about it and let you all know what I think about it.

Have you managed to try out any of the brand new Gentle Cleansers? If so what are your thoughts on them? Let me kno

Thanks again to the wonderful staff at Lush White Rose Leeds for gifting me the Cleansers!

Experiencing All Of The Eras In The Bathroom | Lush Products That Give Taylor Swift Eras Vibes

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The new Taylor Swift Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) will be available to watch on Friday so I thought that I would combine Lush and Taylor to give you some Lush suggestions in case you want to pair them together like I probably will be doing on Friday.

All of the products suggested in the post will be available to purchase from Lush in store, online or via their App.

A photo of a spherical green bath bomb slowly dissolving in a big tub of clear water on a bright background

To start off, if you wanted a scrub that just gives off Taylor vibes then I would definitely suggest Cup O’ Coffee. This scrub contains Coffee Infusion, Ground Coffee Beans, Roasted Cocoa Extract, Vetivert Oil, Coriander Seed Oil and Vanilla Absolute. This to me creates a deep earthy coffee and cocoa scented scrub that gives you the pick me top that you and your body need first thing in the morning. I mean everyone knows that Taylor loves a good coffee run and why wouldn’t you want to use Coffee to scrub away that dead skin before you’re glowing for the gods!

The first one that I thought of when I thought Lush and Taylor Swift was well Dear John… Dear John contains Cedarwood, Coriander Seed, Vetivert and Clove Bud Oils to create a herbal fragrance that will make you sing Dear John all day long. I wish that Lush would bring back the Shower Gel that was available as part of the Fathers Day range in 2019.

A photo of a glass rectangular perfume bottle filled with clear liquid with a cylindrical black lid with a black rectangular label with Dear John perfume lush in white font on a bright background

Karma is a god and it is a must when it comes to Lush scents that would work perfectly for the Eras tour whether that is via digitally or in person. Karma contains Patchouli, Brazilian Orange, Lavandin, Pine, Elemi and Lemongrass Oils to create a rich and complex scent that evokes the vibe of being a free spirit. I love Karma personally so I would go out and use everything that you can grab from a Lush store that has Karma written on it. Shower Gel, Soap, Perfume, Body Lotion. Grab it all, use it all and sing your heart out to the song. (Don’t hate me but I’m not a fan of the Ice Spice version).

If you’re looking for a bath bomb to use that screams Taylor then I would suggest either of the two that are at Lush. Lakes or Black Rose. If you’re more of a fan of ‘clean’ scents then maybe lean towards Lakes (this bomb contains Labdanum Resinoid, Osmanthus Absolute, Pine Oil and Myrrh Resinoid) and if you’re a fan of scents or bath bombs that exude revenge for tarnishing your reputation then go for Black Rose (this bath bomb contains Pakistani Rose Absolute, Rose Oil, Geranium Oil and Sicilian Lemon Oil).

A close up photo of a black rose shaped bath bomb bubbling in a tub of clear water shooting multicoloured powder into the water including black and yellow and slowly dissolving into the water on a bright background

If you’re looking for a perfume that just makes you feel fearless to the world then I would definitely suggest Love. Love Perfume contains Lemongrass Oil, Bergamot Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute, Ylang Ylang Absolute and Ylang Ylang Oil. Those that use it include myself definitely could tell you multiple stories of adventures that have happened whilst wearing this perfume.

A photo of a large clear glass bottle full of clear perfume with a black cylindrical lid with a black rectangular label with love perfume lush in white font on a bright background

If you’re looking for a body lotion from Lush that isn’t Karma based then I would definitely suggest Dream Cream. Dream Cream contains Oat Milk, Rose Water, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Lavender Oil. Not only will this lotion make your skin uber soft but if you’re going to the tour in person then this lotion will help you to have the wildest dreams of your life the night before. Talking about sleep, you can always use the Sleepy range and have a self care night whilst Midnights plays in the background. Sleepy contains Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute and Ylang Ylang Oil. This could include Sleepy Gel, Twilight Bath Bomb and Body Spray and Beauty Sleep Face & Body Mask.

If you’re looking for a Lovers vibe then I would definitely suggest Sex Bomb. Sex Bomb contains Jasmine Absolute, Clary Sage Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil. I mean is there another bomb that exudes Lover vibes? Following on from this, you could pair this with American Cream Shampoo and Perfume to really feel like the true Miss Americana of the world (American Cream contains Vanilla Absolute, Clary Sage Oil, Lavender Oil and Benzoin Resinoid) or if you’re looking for something a little bit different there is always Shade. Shade contains West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Olibanum Oil and Guaiacwood Oil.

A photo of a pink and white spherical bath bomb with a paper red rose in the middle low in a bowl of water leaking out vibrant pink colour and tinting the water pink on a bright background

If you’re wanting to show off your love for Reputation, you can use Black Rose that has been mentioned already but alongside this, you could use Dark Angels. Dark Angels contains Rhassoul Mud, Organic Avocado Oil, Powdered Charcoal, Black Sugar, Sandalwood Oil and Rosewood Oil. I mean, Taylor during the Rep Era was the ultimate Dark Angel let’s be real here.

A photo of a large cylindrical black tub filled with dark black charcoal chunky cleanser pieces with a black circular lid with a black circular label that says dark angels face cleanser lush in white font on a bright background

If you’re looking for a perfume that screams Rep but still has notes of being delicate on some then Death And Decay may be for you. Death and Decay contains Ylang Ylang Oil, Tonka Absolute, Rose Oil and Jasmine Absolute. One spray of this and you will have people asking if the old version of yourself is dead!

A photo of a big rectangular glass bottle of perfume filled with clear liquid with a black circular lid with a black rectangular label that says Death and Decay Perfume Lush in white font on a bright background

If Death & Decay isn’t your thing then New Romantics might be. New Romantics contains Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Davana Oil and Pimento Berry Oil Be quick though as this was released for Valentines Day but is still available to grab at the time of writing this blog post. If it isn’t and you’re looking for something different then maybe give Alina a sniff. Alina contains Bergamot Oil, Patchouli Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Olibanum Resinoid, Jasmine Absoliute, Pink Pepper Oil, Vetivert Oil, Orris Oil and Vanilla Absolute. It still gives off that delicate vibe butt the Pink Pepper in this perfume gives it a sort off warm spicy note compared to the dark floral scent that Death and Decay exudes.

A photo of a tall rectangular glass bottle containing clear perfume with an orange tint with a black cylindrical lid with a black rectangular label that says New Romantics Lush in white font on a bright background

If you’re looking for something to nourish the face then Gorgeous from Lush will definitely do that. Gorgeous contains Organic Orange Blossom Honey Water, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil, Organic Avocado Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Fresh Pineapple Juice, Fresh Orange Juice, Orange Flower Absolute, Neroli Oil and Myrrh Resinoid. You could apply it whilst Gorgeous is playing in the background!

The Skincare Product That’s Been Brightening UP My Life | Garnier Vitamin C Anti-Dark Spots & Brightening Serum Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you about a skincare product that I have been loving lately.

A white hand holding a white Garnier Vitamin C Anti-Dark Spots & Brightening Serum in black font on a bright background

‘Our Vitamin C Anti-Dark Spot Serum is enriched with a potent mix of [3.5%] Vitamin C*, Niacinamide & Salicylic Acid, to reduce the appearance of dark spots and enhance glow, along with Lemon Extract, a powerful superfood well known for its brightening properties. The formula has been carefully blended to provide dark-spot action without being heavy or greasy on the skin.

All Garnier products globally are officially approved by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny Programme, the leading organisation working to end animal testing worldwide, and the recognised Cruelty Free Gold Standard.’ - Garnier UK.

The texture of this product is quite interesting. It’s light yet not runny. It’s moisturising but not greasy.

When I squeezes some of the product out from the pipette, I noticed that it didn’t run all over the place which I like as it means I don’t have to be super anxious that I’m going to slightly tilt my hand and have serum not only run all down myself but in essence waste product that my skin could be enjoying. With some serums that I have used in the past, they have promised to be light yet have took ages to sink into the skin which is a pain for me as I have a tendency to rush and multitask when it comes to skincare sometimes. This mainly has a tendency to happen in the morning more than anything.

The scent of this product was a quite unusual one for me. Most Vitamin C products that I have used in the past normally come with quite a strong Orange heavy scent to them but this did not. Instead Garner chose to go with more of a floral scent for this product. As stated above, the scent confused me a bit but as soon as I used it I quite liked it. Soft, delicate and floral. When I applied this superb serum to my skin, the scent dissipated  into my skin quite well which I adored and when layering with other slightly scented skincare the scents blended well together.

After using this serum for a while, I did notice a difference. I suffer from dry, dull and stressed skin which can lead to acne breakouts sometimes. Whilst using this product I have noticed a reduction in the amount of breakouts that I have which is due to the Niacinamide and Salicylic Acid that is featured in this product. After using this serum for a few months, I have noticed that my skin does look more vibrant and is now glowing for the gods which I have been in need for a while. After University and a tough time, I noticed that my skin was lacking in vibrancy so to find something that is easy to find in drugstores in my local city and is affordable is pretty amazing to me.

Would I buy this again? Oh definitely, I’ll definitely be buying this. I am close to finishing a bottle of this sublime serum so once I am done with it I’ll definitely be restocking! I mean, it does wonders for my skin, is reasonably priced compared to some of the other Vitamin C serums on the market in the UK and is easy for me to stock up on when I need it. 9/10.

(At the time of writing this post which is the 26th of June 2023, Garnier Vitamin C Anti-Dark Spots & Brightening Serum is on offer at Boots. When you use your Advantage Card, you can grab this perfect product for £8.50.)

What are your favourite skincare serums at the moment? What are your favourite Garner products`? What Vitamin C products are you using at the moment? Let me know down below.

Keeping My Face Protected From The Sun In 2023 | Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Dark Spots & Anti-Pollution Super UV Protection Fluid SPF 50 Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about an SPF that I have been loving during the hot weather that we have been having at the moment.

A white hand holding a rectangular white box containing a rectangular white bottle with a white nozzle at the top with garnier ambre solaire in black font with ANTI-DARK SPOTS & ANTI-POLLUTION super uv in black and orange font (super UV is in orange with garnier ambre solaire in black font on the box with ANTI-DARK SPOTS & ANTI-POLLUTION in black font and super uv in orange font with face fluid below in black font on a bright background

‘Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Dark Spots & Anti-Pollution Super UV SPF 50+ Protection Fluid is enriched with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. Developed for the sensitive face area, the ultra-light formula is absorbed instantly and offers daily hydration without leaving a greasy finish.

Very high SPF protection to help prevent sun induced dark spots and protect against pollution induced oxidative stress. Formulated to protect all skin tones, is suitable for daily use. Tested under dermatological control, hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. Anti-eye stinging. The formula conforms 100% to European recommendations for protection against the harmful effects of UVA and UVB rays. This suncream offers advanced protection against immediate sun induced skin damage, caused by UVB rays, as well as protection from long-term damage and premature skin ageing caused by UVA rays.’ - Garnier UK.

The texture off this SPF is creamy and moisturising but ever so light on the face. When squeezing out of the bottle, the fluid comes out in a slightly milky texture to me but does not run all over the place as soon as I tilt my hand. (I have a habit of doing multiple things when I’m applying skin care/SPF because well I like to multitask). With the heat, I sometimes suffer from sensory overload which can mean that I can’t stand thick textures on my face if I am suffering from overload and I have been using this when I have suffered with overload and it has been amazing. When it settles into the skin, to paraphrase Ned Flanders it feels like I have nothing at all on my face.

I suffer from having dry and acne prone skin due to a miltitude of reasons. When I have applied this, I have noticed that even after applying moisturiser that my skin feels even more hydrated due to the hyaluronic acid that is in this SPF. I have also noticed that when I am having an acne flare up and am using this SPF that my skin doesn’t feel as angry as it normally does due to the Vitamin E that is in this product. Most of the time, about after fifteen minutes, I can feel the area where my acne normally is allocated start to feel less irritated which is also a good thing as it makes me feel less self conscious and makes me aware that I know that the active ingredients in this SPF are doing what they are meant to.

As mentioned above, when I am applying my skincare products, I have a big tendency of multitasking and honestly rushing. I know that I have just whacked products on when I have scheduled to meet a friend or do something specific at a certain time many times before. That’s kind of another reason why I love this product. Not only does it sink in quickly which I am always a big fan of for when I’m well rushing or just having one of those days. This SPF has a non-greasy texture to it which means I’m not feeling self conscious on the train that I’ve slapped products on or that I’m constantly touching my face thinking that I look like I’ve dipped my face into a cosmetics store and not blended them into my skin properly..

Would I buy this product again? Definitely. I already have done. I have been using this SPF for several months now and I absolutely love it. It has become my everyday SPF. I have started to dabble back into makeup recently and I am intrigued to try out Garner’s Over Makeup SPF Spray. Would anyone want me to review that? This SPF is definitely one to try if you’re looking for an everyday holy grail SPF 50  that will help you stay looking amazing and prevent dark-spots not only in the blazing weather that we are having at the moment but all year round. I’d definitely give this a 9.7/10.

Priced at £12 but on offer at Boots at a price of £8 if you use a Boots Advantage Card when purchasing this superb SPF. (This offer is available at the time of writing which is the 25th June 2023).

What SPF are you using at the moment? What are your staple Holiday Beauty products? Let me know down below!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Gentle Peeling Water & Micellar Reusable Make-Up Remover Eco Pads Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I recently got sent some goodies from the wonderful PR team from Garner UK and I thought that today I would talk to you all about two of the products that I was sent.
A photo of a tall cylindrical bottle filled with clear liquid with a clear label that says garner micellar gentle peeling water in black font nwxt to a square white box containing circular white pads with garner eco pads in black font on a bright background

So if you are following me on my social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram then you may have noticed that I have been trying to get back into using makeup recently. (Would you want some makeup reviews? Let me know down below). I also travel from time to time and for both of these reasons I have been looking for a decent micellar water that I can use to remove makeup and that I can use on the go when it comes to travelling throughout the UK so when I received my parcel from Garner and noticed that they had included the stunning Gentle Peeling Water I was amazed as it was just what I was looking for.

This Micellar Gentle Peeling Water contains 1% PHA and Glycolic Acid which is an AHA. These active skincare ingredients help to smooth uneven skin texture, boost radiance, minimise enlarged pores, removes makeup and gently exfoliates the skin due to AHA and PHA’s being a chemical exfoliant for the skin.

I have been using this Micellar Water for a month now and I absolutely love it. I used to not be the biggest fan of Micellar Water as it sometimes felt a bit thick on my skin and took a while to dry on my skin but this Gentle Peeling Water is lightweight and sinks into my skin instantly. I have skin texture and can breakout easily due to being lactose intolerant and using this Peeling Water has definitely helped it alongside my usual skin routine.

I love using this micellar water to remove makeup when I’ve had a long day. All I have to do is wipe this onto my skin and it removes it instantly. I don’t use many full coverage products though at the moment so I may have to use some and see how well this product removes them too. I have also put some into a mini bottle to take with me on the go and trust me it has been a godsend for me whilst I’ve been on the go or at a hotel. Sometimes when I do spend time at a hotel I sometimes forget some beauty products due to rushing when packing in the morning so if I’ve forgotten a cleanser I have used this product and it has worked beautifully as a replacement for my normal cleanser in my routine.

The scent of this Micellar Water is light and citrus to me. It reminds me of Oranges and Mangoes which I know sounds weird but it really does. The scent isn’t too strong compared to some beauty products that I have used in the past which I love especially if I’m using this product late at night.

To accompany the Micellar Water, Garner kindly sent me their Eco Pads to try out. Now, I am picky when it comes to what I use to wash or wipe my face with because of my sensory issues. I know a lot of the time with Toners and Micellar Waters, Cotton Pads are recommended but honestly I have forever hated the feeling of them. When I saw these Eco Pads, I was ecstatic as it meant I could use something on my face on the go that honestly didn’t make me want to peel my own skin off. I also love that they are reusable and washable which makes them great for the environment. You can whack them in with the rest of your washing or just wash in the sink. I love this as it means I can just wash them and leave them overnight to dry in the hotel if I’m using them there or just in my bathroom. These Eco Pads feel amazingly soft on the skin which I adore. You also get three pairs of Eco Pads in one packet which means that you can use a pair whilst one is being washed. I would definitely pick up a couple of packets to give as gifts alongside the Micellar Water.
Would I buy again? Definitely. This product has definitely gotten me back into using both makeup and Micellar Water and I love it. The scent of the Micellar Water is refreshing and the product contains active ingredients to help your skin out. The Eco Pads are soft and wipe away all the grime from your face amazingly. What’s not to love?

Have you tried these products? Would you try them? Let me know down below.

Thanks to Garner PR for sending these products.

Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide Body Cream Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently saw that Garnier had a new product out and that it was on offer at Boots so I went down to my local Boots and grabbed some. I thought that today I’d talk to you all about my thoughts on it.

A long shot of an open white and blue cylindrical tub with garner skin food cocoa and ceramics in white with an circular lid of the same colours next to it on a bright background

‘Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide contains ingredients of 97% natural origin. This fast absorbing butter hydrates up to 10 layers deep and provides an up to 48h repairing effect. For very dry skin types.

Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide is formulated for normal skin and enriched with two powerful key ingredients! Cocoa is known for its extra nourishing properties & Ceramide is a powerful skin supplement known for its repairing properties.

This powerful body butter leaves the skin feeling instantly hydrated, up to 10 layers deep*, for results you can feel and provides up to 48 hour hydrating repair. With ingredients of 97% Natural Origin - this product is a vegan formula. All Garnier products globally are officially approved by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny Programme, the leading organisation working to end animal testing worldwide, and the recognised Cruelty Free Gold Standard.’ - Garnier UK.

List of ingredients:

AQUA / WATER, GLYCERIN, ISOPROPYL PALMITATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, GLYCERYL STEARATE SE, CETYL ESTERS, THEOBROMA CACAO SEED BUTTER / COCOA SEED BUTTER, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, 2-OLEAMIDO-1,3-OCTADECANEDIOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CITRIC ACID, CARAMEL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE

The scent of this product is quite clean and creamy. As the product states, this product consists of mainly Cocoa Butter and Ceramides. Due to this, the scent is pretty much just Cocoa Butter which I adore. Cocoa Butter to me always reminds me of cold Winter days and baking. I'm not sure why but it just does so the scent of this cream to me is very nostalgic and soothing which if I am applying this product at nighttime then I am more than fine with that. In the morning, this scent is a great creamy base for me to jump from in regards to the perfume that I want to wear that particular day.

The texture of this product is quite an unusual one to me. When I scooped it out of the tub, it was quite thick which I expected due to it being for very dry skin which is definitely my skin type. (I am pretty sure I was a lizard in a past life with the dry skin that I have). When I massaged it into my skin, it stayed the same texture and took a while to sink in which again I expected due to the creams and oils and how my skin is. However, when it sank into my skin, I realised that it had set into a slightly matte finish which I wasn't expecting but I really liked it as it meant that I didn't have to be worried about the cream sticking to clothes or anything like that which I have definitely had before with other body creams.

When I have left it on during the night, I have noticed a severe amount of difference in my skin! I think with how much you get in the tub as well, you can use this on a regular basis to ensure that your skin stays hydrated. I mean that is definitely what I have been doing and I have been loving it as I can tell how great my skin feels. I think that one of the reasons that my skin has felt so good when I have used this product is due to the addition of Ceramides as these help the skin massively and have done whether it be body or face when I have used a product that contains Ceramides.

Will I buy this again? Oh definitely! A massive tub of creamy goodness that makes my skin feel gorgeous? Who would decide to skip on that? I am intrigued to try one of the other versions of this product once I am done with the Cocoa and Ceramides one just to see what they are like These are definitely worth a try to anyone who is a bit unsure on purchasing one. I even got mine on offer in Boots whilst I was just in to have a look at some other products. 9/10.

Have you tried this product? Let me know down below.

Preserving My Youthful Self In Some Uber Lush Products | Lush New Self-Preserving Products 2022 - Ultrabland, Mask Of Magnaminty & Enzymion

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I recent6l was gifted some of the new Self Preserving products from the lovely PR team at Lush and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

Three cylindrical black pots all on their side with the lid showing, all with black labels and white font. One saying ultrabland self-preserving cleanser, one with mask of magnanimity face and body mask and one saying Enzymion self-preserving moisturiseron a long rectangular light brown shelf on a bright background

What is Self-Preserved?

Our skin is home to helpful microflora that defend against invading bacterial pathogens. At Lush we use minimal preservatives in our products when we have to, and over the decades have been working hard to remove preservatives from products wherever we can.

Made from butters, oils and essential oils without preservatives, the new self-preserving producrs have a slightly richer formula and are just as effective with all the goodness. They are best used fresh, within 6 months.’ - Lush UK.

Ultrabland Self-Preserving Cleanser

Almond Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Water (Aqua), Rose Water, Fresh Iris Extracted in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Glycerine, Glyceryl Stearate, Tincture of Benzoin, *Benzyl Alcohol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Benzyl Cinnamate

This Cleanser is more of a balm texture that turns into a sort of hybrid of a cream and an oil to me. I have been using it recently as the first part of a double cleanser and a night time style cleanser. As I have quite dry skin, this cleanser works amazingly for me. It cleanses my skin but doesn’t strip it like a lot of other cleansers seem to do and leave my skin feeling soft and supple which honestly is always the goal.

I did see Shea Coulee use this in a video and ever since I have been humming and ahhing about purchasing it and using it so I was more than ecstatic to be gifted it. Now that I know that my skin loves it I will definitely be using it more and more. If you have more normal skin then this would be a great cleanser to use during the colder months

The scent and self-preserving factor mainly comes from the Honey and Rose Water. These two combine to create a slightly fresh and sweet scent which is great especially at night when you don’t want to use products with too much of a stimulating or awakening scent.

Mask Of Magnaminty Self-Preserving Face & Body Mask

Honey, Kaolin, Bentone gel, Talc, Glycerine, Ground Organic Aduki Beans, Evening Primrose Seeds, Peppermint Oil, Tagetes Oil, Vanilla Absolute, *Limonene, Perfume, Chlorophyllin

Okay, I may be a little bit bias with this product as I have been using Mask Of Magnaminty for a fair few years now.

The texture of the mask is everything. It combines all of the textures that you would want in a face mask into one. This mask starts out by vbeing slightly creamy due to the Honey and Glycerine then sets up into a form matte mask due to the talc and kaolin the longer you leave it on and then also has the scrubby texture due to the ground Aduki and Primrose Seeds.

The scent of this product is quite an unusual one. Yes it is minty but it isn’t that sort of fresh mint that is in a lot of beauty products. This mint smell has a sort of backbone to it. It sort of smells like fresh mint that has been left to dry in the sun. This is probably due to the mixture of Peppermint Oil and Vanilla Absolute.

I love how that this version is a little bit richer and more moisturising  than the non-preserving one as my skin loves anything that is buttery and nourishing. As I have lactose intolerance, I can end up having dry yet acne prone skin and this mask definitely does the trick due the mix of humectants and exfoliates. If you also get acne due to stress or hormones and want a mask that you can whack on and forget about for a while then I would definitely recommend this one. (It’s also green so if you want a mask to enjoy with a friend on a fun night in then I’d definitely recommend this one!)

Enzymion Self-Preserving Moisturiser

Fresh Lemon Infusion, Organic Jojoba Oil, Glycerine, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Stearic Acid, Perfume, Propylene Glycol, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil, Almond Oil, Water (Aqua), Wheatgerm oil, Triethanolamine, Tangerine Oil, Lime Oil, Fresh Aloe Gel, Freshly Juiced Lemon, Freshly Juiced Papaya, Cetearyl Alcohol, *Citral, *Citronellol, *Limonene, *

Anyone that knows me will know that I love anything that Is full of butters when it comes to skincare and that I love Lemons. I mean I love Lemons a lot!

The texture of this moisturiser to me is a bit of a weird one. It’s slightly creamy and quite liquid based in the tub but when you apply it to the skin, it becomes a bit more like a balm. I guess in essence it’s the opposite of Ultrabland to me. This may be due to the mixture of Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Evening Primrose, Wheatgwrm and Aloe.

To me the scent was amazing. When I mixed it into my skin, I definitely got a freshly picked citrus vibe from it. I could definitely smell the mixture of Papaya, Lemon and Tangerine and honestly I loved it. I kind of wished that Lush did more products with this scent especially for the Summer. This is definitely a product that is meant for Summer.

Would I buy any of these again? Definitely. I mean I’ve bought MOM plenty of times and will carry on purchasing it. Once I have finished Ultrabland I may look into the other cleansers at Lush and come back to it in the colder months or when I’m feeling more confident (aka when I want to start getting a little bit into makeup again) and wanting a good cleanser to break down makeup and I can see Enzymion becoming a Summertime staple. All in all 8.6/10 for all three items combined as a routine.

I love that these items are now self-preserving as not only will they help my skin that little bit more but will wlso keep for longer.

Let's Get Down & Gritty! | Lush Face & Body Scrubs 2022

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently grabbed the three new scrubs from Lush and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

Bright & Beautiful

Who doesn’t want their skin to look all things bright and beautiful? This scrub contains Vitamin C Powder, Grapefruit Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Rose Absolute, Champaca Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil and Powdered Charcoal. This scrub can be used both without water for a grittier scrub, or with water for a softer feel. It’s entirely up to you. I went for the grittier feel and I really enjoyed the texture and scent of this scrub. This product contains 10% Vitamin C and Lush state that it may tingle but for me it didn’t. I really like this for when I want a good deep scrub but I want something to wake me up at the same time. Priced at £ 14.

A black cyldinrcal tub in the middle of a white photo with bright and beautiful vitamin c exfoliating facial scrub lush in white font with some orange and green leaves above it and two photos, one of black charcoal scrub and one of a purple scrub on a bright background

Co-Mingle Body Scrub

You know it’s been a good night out when you’ve had a good co-mingle… This scrub contains Cypress Leaf Infusion, Bamboo Stem Extract, Tagus Nit Powder, Almond Oil, Vanilla Pod Infusion, Lavender Oil, Goji Berry Juice, Carrageenan Extract and Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter. I love the concept of this. A 3 in 1 product which I could use when my spoons are low. Sounds amazing! However the scent could do with being changed. I get the reasoning on making this scent  mellow but I would’ve loved it if it was in a citrus scent or something that isn’t Lavender centric. The scrub itself is amazing and does its job of scrubbing, cleansing and moisturising and will definitely be used when I want something quick and simple. My dry rough skin loved this. Priced at £18.

Happy Skin Enzymic Face Exfoliator

Let’s scrub until we’re happy. This scrub contains Shea Butter, Sesame Seed, Vanilla and Tonka Absolutes, Fresh Pineapple and Jackfruit Juices, Bamboo Stem Extract and Tagua Nut Powder. To start off with, when me and Luke smelt this, we both agreed that it smells of Cherry Yoghurt. Sounds weird I know but trust me. I love the texture of this product as it’s a little bit more creamier than the others which I really like when it comes to cleansers and scrubs. I love Pineapple so when I saw that this contained Pineapple, I was excited as my skin seems to love Pineapple. Definitely one that I whack on in a morning and know that it’ll do good for my skin without worrying about leaving it on for a certain amount of time or scrubbing in so much. Just a good all rounder. Priced at £14.

Lush Mothers Day 2022 First Impressions

 Hey ever)one!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. A while ago, I went to Lush to pick up their Mothers Day range and I thought that it was finally time to tell you all what I thought about the range.

A wide shot photo of a selection of light and brightly coloured spherical bath bombs, cylindrical clear bottles filled with orange liquid with mimosa on a back label and other products in light brown shelves and square light brown boxes on a light brown table on a bright background

Bath Bombs:

The Elephant In The Tea Room

This elephant is packing their trunk to say goodbye to the tub. Not only does this bomb look cute as it is the hybrid of an elephant and a tea pot. This bomb contains Bergamot and Lemon Myrtle Oils, Benzoin Resinoid, Powdered Gunpowder and Sencha Teas. Apparently this is a new scent called Tea and Biscuits at Lush which I get but to me that kind of sounds pretty vague. To me, this kind of gives me Earl Grey Tea vibes. If anyone remembers the Shades Of Earl Grey Massage Bar, imagine that but a little less creamy and a little bit more citrus based. This bomb to me is mainly citrus with a touch of sweetness that is coming from the Benzoin. The tea does come through but it doesn’t overwhelm which I was surprised at as when lush have used tea before it’s been the predominant scent in the product. I really like this but I think that this scent would do really well in the autumn as well as the spring whether as a limited or all year round product. Priced at £6.

A photo of some zoomed in elephant tea pot shaped bath bombs that are purple and pink in a large light brown square box on a large light brown table with a black card at the side of it saying the elephant in the tea room in white font on a bright background

Atom Heart Mother

I did talk about this product last year so I will keep this one short. This bomb shares the same scent as the old scent So White. Some do say that So White and Once Upon A Time are the same scent but to me OUAT has a little bit more of a floral sort of slightly biscuit based scent to it than a fruity scent that So White has. Apples are a big part of both Spring and Autumn to me so this product screams Spring to me due to its Apple based scent that is provided by Rose Absolute, Neroli, Orange Flower Absolute and Brazilian Orange Oil. I absolutely love this bomb.  Priced at £5.

A zoomed in photo of some spherical blue and green bombs with white clouds on them in a light brown square box on a light brown table with a black card saying atom heart mother bath bomb in white font on a bright background orange

Jasmine

This was our last year but in the form of a bubble bar, so this one will be kept quite short too. If you have been a Lush customer for a while then you may know the scent of this product by a different name. Christmas Eve/The Great Wave. This bomb contains Jasmine and Ylang Ylang which to me creates a sort of creamy yet very strong floral scent. Slightly like the scent of when you walk into a florist. This product also contains Rice Starch which gives a soothing property to the bath which I always adore due to having slightly dry skin. Priced at  £4.50

Rose Gold

A micro-influencers bathing dream has come true. A bath that is completely rose gold inside and out! This bath bomb contains Ylang Ylang and Bergamot Oils, Benzoin Resinoid and Orris Root Powder which gives the bomb a sort of floral sweet scent. To me, this scent reminded me of Coconut more than anything. I like Coconut but I wasn’t expecting it to smell like this from the ingredients that are in this bomb. Does anyone else get Coconut? Let me know. Priced at £6.

Bubble Bars:

Bestie

Snap this bubble bar in half and share with your ultimate bestie! Not only does this product look amazing due to it having a sort of entwined giraffes design but it smells amazing too! This product contains Brazilian Orange and Lime Oils which to me creates a very sort of sparkling citrus smell. Honestly this bubble bar reminds me of the Celebrate/Golden Wonder/Bubbly scent from Lush which I absolutely adore! Priced at £6.

Shower

Yummy Custard Body Wash

Who doesn’t want some lovely thick creamy stuff smeared all over them in the shower? I’ve been loving the sample of Posh Chocolate Body Wash that I got a while ago, so when I saw that Lush had released another Body Wash, I was intrigued to see what it was like. This product contains Vanilla Oat Milk, Vanilla Pod Powder and Aloe Vera Gel. I guess the gel is to help with the texture of the product and to provide a bit of nourishing and healing properties to the skin whilst the double vanilla make up the scent of this product. To me, this smells like when you open a can of Ambrosia custard. Lush had a product out years ago called Hair Custard and this body wash smells the exact same as that to me! I absolutely love it. Priced at £8 per 100g.

Mimosa Shower Gel

Cheers, Sweetie Darling. Who doesn’t love a good Mimosa? Not only is the name of this gel referencing that feel good drink but is also referencing the Mimosa Flower which sometimes gets forgotten due to the very well known drink. This gel contains Elderflower Infusion, Fresh Orange Juice, Wine Lees and Sweet Wild Orange Oils and Carnation. Absolute. This combination of scents to me reminds me of a Mimosa cocktail with a touch of floral pepperiness in the background which I’m guessing is from the Carnation and Elderflower. The texture is quite nice. Reminds me of a slightly thick serum to me. If you like anything citrus based then you will definitely love this Shower Gel! Priced at £7 for a 120g bottle.

Soap:

Buzzy Mum

Buzzy Mums may not have the time, but they deserve the self care! This soap not only smells cute but looks cute as it is in the shape of a very buzzy buzzy bee who are in dire need of being saved! This soap contains Camelina Seed Sativa Infusion, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Peach Powder, Carnation Absolute and Sweet Wild Orange Oil. To me, this soap smells like a sort of sweet floral concoction. I like it but I kind of wished that the Peach was a little bit more pronounced. Priced at £6.

Hands:

Lovely Hand Balm

To misquote Scouting For Girls, they’re so lovely! Who doesn’t love a good bit of hand care? Everyone needs to have soft hands especially after the past two years! This hand product contains Everlasting Flower Absolute and Ylang Ylang which to me creates a sort of delicate soft floral scent. To me, it reminds me of slightly scented laundry detergent. This product contains a plethora of softening ingredients like Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Gel and Macadamia Nut Oil to ensure that your hands are soft for hours and hours! Priced at £12.

Eyes:

Wondermum Eye Mask

Wondermum to the rescue! This eye pad contains a plethora of ingredients including  Fennel Seed and Saffron Infusion, Fresh Carrot Juice, Aloe Gel and Carrageenan. These ingredients combine to help the eyes and to give customers who use this product a good amount of me time that they definitely deserve. The ones I used sadly ripped before I used them so it was a bit of a pain to use them. Priced at £5.
