AD | Being A Cheeky Monkey & Messing About With Your Self Care Routine | Lush Kitchen XL April Box 2026

  Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I was kindly sent the April Kitchen XL Box from the wonderful team at Lush so I thought that today I would talk to you all about my thoughts on the box.

I like to wait until the month after the Box has arrived to truly talk about it as it means that I've had time to try everything which includes trying out the posted products several times so I can truly talk about them.

And why angles photo of a light brown peg shaped coffee table with a light brown rectangular box filled with white Eco pops with a rectangular wide dark blue sleep behind it with the word babe on the wild side Lush kitchen excel box in dark black font with two cylindrical plastic tubs at the back of the box one is filled with a light white commingle from Lush with a circular Black lid with a circular blue and purple label with Rainforest coat mingle Lush in white and the other filled with it dark blue shower jelly with it clear circular lead with a dark blue and cyclo purple circular label with Amazonian shower gel Lush in white font next to a cylindrical plastic tall bottle filled with dark brown shape shifting to cycling gold shower gel with a black cylindrical small lid and a dark blue and purple rectangular label that says Fantabulosa shower gel Lush kitchen exclusive Lush in white font with a white circular pork shaped solid body butter filled with magnesium in front of it with an indicate engraved circular line based design on it next to a light yellow and golden monkey shaped bath bomb next to a dark blue and purple snack shaped bubble bar and a dark blue slightly rectangular slab absorb with a yellow moon design in the middle of it all on a bright background

Fantabulosa Shower Gel

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycerin, Lauryl Betaine, Parfum, Matricaria Recutita Flower Oil (Chamomile Blue Oil), Cistus Ladaniferus Resin (Labdanum Resinoid), Evernia Prunastri Extract (Oakmoss Extract), Viola Odorata Leaf Extract (Violet Leaf Extract), Fucus Vesiculosus Extract (Seaweed Extract), Lactic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, CI 45410:1

It's time to have a self care routine with this retro fragrance scented Shower Gel and truly feel fantabulous!

This Shower Gel looks stunning as soon as it came out of the box as it's two toned. On the outside Fantabulosa looks dark and moody on the outside but as soon as you apply a little from the bottle it comes to life and changes colour! I love when Lush do this! I loved how Cherry Pop Shower Gel did this! I gifted a bottle to a friend and as soon as I got home from seeing them I got a message about them being mesmerised that it somehow changed colour and that it was pure magic!

Fantabulosa contains Glycerine which not only makes for a thick Shower Gel which I know a lot of you including myself adore but also ensures that after you use this beautiful shower gel that your skin feels nourished, soft and smooth!

Fantabulosa contains a retro fragrance that was first released before Lush was known as Lush and I believe it was first released as a part of the Perfume collection at B Never Too Busy To B Beautiful which is what Lush was before it became Lush!

Fantabulosa contains Chamomile Blue Oil, Labdanum Resinoid, Oakmoss, Violet Leaf  and Seaweed. I know that sounds like such an unusual and bizarre mix of ingredients on the outside but when you smell it you'll grasp what the concept and the vision was when the founders of Lush were coming up with this fragrance. To me, this blend of oils creates a fragrance that feels like it has been created with Alice In Wonderland in mind. In my opinion, this fragrance to me smells like a mixture of Big Blue and Sex Bomb from Lush with a massive blast of slightly synthetic foam banana sweets coming from the Labdanum. I know that this may sound weird but I used this Gel before going out on a date day and honestly I felt confident and intriguing! It truly made me feel like I could battle the day no matter what which I know sounds weird from a shower gel but I always believe that Shower products and Fragrance can truly change the way you feel and how your day goes.

I absolutely loved using this Shower Gel with the other Banana products and I would love a solid of this or a small 15ml or a 30ml spray to be released of this fragrance.

If you're a fan of niche fragrances that make you take another sniff and wonder what you can smell then I think this fragrance and Shower Gel would definitely be for you!

Amazonian Shower Jelly

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Citrus Reticulata Fruit Juice (Fresh Tangerine Juice), Chondrus Crispus Extract (Carrageenan Extract), Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Citrus Reticulata Peel Oil (Tangerine Oil), *Limonene, Pogostemon Cablin Oil (Patchouli Oil), Cananga Odorata Flower Oil (Ylang Ylang Oil), Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Extract (Orange Flower Extract), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Flower Extract (Orange Blossom Extract), Gardenia Jasminoides Fruit Extract (Gardenia Extract), Titanium Dioxide, *Linalool, Parfum, CI 15985:1, CI 19140:1, CI 19140, CI 14700

Even in the forest we have to smell good...

Amazonian Shower Jelly contains Patchouli, Orange Flower and Tangerine Oils which blend to create a truly citrus fragrance that has a big hit of brightness to it provided by the Tangerine alongside a contrasting hit of smokiness and spiciness that is provided by the Patchouli. I absolutely love this fragrance as it showcases how citrus and spice can truly harmonise together. In my opinion, Amazonian reminds me of a slightly summery version of Karma. Whilst Karma does have Patchouli and Orange just like Amazonian Shower Jelly does, I find that Karma slightly  leans more towards the herbal smoky side of Patchouli forward fragrances due to the addition of Lavender and Lemongrass which brings out the herbal notes more and if anyone knows me well then you will know that I absolutely  adore Karma and that it is one of my signature fragrances!

If you managed to grab this Jelly then let me know what you've paired it with, I've suggested Karma on this blog post but I also think that it would go gorgeously with Milky Bath or the Hello Kitty and Friends Perfume!

King Coconut Magnesium Body Butter

Ingredients:

Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter), Musa Paradisiaca Fruit (Fresh Banana), Aqua (Water), Persea Gratissima Fruit (Fresh Avocado), Cocos Nucifera Oil (Extra Virgin Coconut Oil), Magnesium Chloride, Parfum, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Almond Oil), Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Organic Jojoba Oil), Liquidambar Styraciflua Balsam Extract (Styrax Resinoid), Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil (Vetivert Oil), Styrax Tonkinensis Resin Extract (Benzoin Resinoid Extract), Cocos Nucifera Fruit Extract (Coconut Extract), Avena Sativa Kernel Extract (Oatmeal Extract), Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Benzyl Cinnamate, *Cinnamal, *Cinnamyl Alcohol, *Isoeugenol, CI 77491

Even the King of the Forest needs to feel fabulous!

Don't hate me but when I smelt this straight out of the box my mind instantly started to play 'I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts' from Lion King... Says more about me and my brain more than anything else.

If you're unsure on how to use  King Coconut then imagine it as the last step before you get out of the bath or shower. Grab the product, swipe it all over your body, massage it in deeply, take a minute for yourself (this could be meditation, singing a song or anything that makes you happy.  the latter two is what I like to do) and then rinse off to reveal deeply hydrated skin that smells creamy and coconutty.

King Coconut contains Magnesium which helps to relax muscles. If you're an avid reader then you will know that as someone with muscle pain quite often I love when Lush include Magnesium in their products. I have to admit that I loved the addition of it in King Coconut too! It really helped me to relax and unwind whether it was at the end of a busy day or first thing in the morning when my body felt a bit bleh and my mind wasn't ready to crack on with the day.

King Coconut contains Fresh Avocado, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Almond Oil and Organic Jojoba Oil which all blend together to create a nourishing base alongside Coconut that helps to truly help you feel refreshed and nourished. I've been using this all over my body recently but especially on my elbows and other places that are dry and end up being bashed into often as I'm quite clumsy in life and I have to admit that these areas have never felt more hydrated and nourished. It's honestly made me rethink some parts of my self care routine and whether I should explore the all year round Body Butters and Body Conditioners such as Ro's Argan and King Of Skin a little bit more.

King Coconut contains Styrax, Benzoin Resinoid and Vetivert which combine to create a comforting cosy Coconut fragrance that still has a bite of not only fresh green grassiness but also a touch of smokiness in the background which helps to create a three dimensional fragrance. This fragrance really makes you feel like you're on an island or forest foraging and finding fresh coconuts. Fun fact: King Coconut and its regal fragrance were once a part of Cosmetics to Go. This was one of the brands that were Lush before  Lush was a business concept or a brick and mortar store on the British High Street. I absolutely love this fragrance. As I say it's rich, creamy and comforting but it still has a smoky edge to it. I am a sucker for anything that contains  Vetivert (see my monologue about loving Dear John in a plethora of posts which contains a heavy hit of Vetivert) and this fragrance is no different. If you're a fan of Coconut fragrances but you enjoy one that is more true to natural Coconut rather than the sickly sweet synthetic versions of a coconut fragrance that you can find quite often then I think that you would love King Coconut. If you also own Furze from Lush then I think that these two could be paired beautifully together in a self care routine!

Banana Moon Soap

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Brassica Napus Seed Oil (Rapeseed Oil), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Soymilk Ferment Curd (Soya Yogurt), Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut Oil/Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil), Musa Paradisiaca Fruit (Fresh Banana), Parfum, Hexyl Cinnamal, Cistus Ladaniferus Resin (Labdanum Resinoid), Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Gardenia Jasminoides Fruit Extract (Gardenia Extract), Titanium Dioxide, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Bicarbonat

To the moon and back baby!

Banana Moon Soap contains a plethora of hydrating goodies such as Fresh Banana, Glycerine, Soy Milk, Soya Yoghurt, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and much more. This may come as a little bit TMI but as someone who is neurodivergent, I have a really bad habit of biting and picking the skin on my hands. If you've ever seen a photo of anything that I'm holding on my socials then you'll know what I'm getting at so alongside dry skin when it comes to soaps I want something very hydrating that will hopefully help with the skin on my hands and oh boy do I have to say Banana Moon Soap definitely helps with that. The absolute complex of gorgeous moisturising goodies that make up the base of this Soap definitely have been helping to hydrate and recover my hands. Sometimes with other soaps I don't really enjoy using them as they can irritate me quite easily  whereas Banana Moon is the complete opposite!

Banana Moon contains Labdanum and Gardenia. I know that this delightful duo sounds a bit simple and lacklustre for a fragrance that boasts all things Banana but trust me when I say that this duo definitely packs a punch when it comes to performanc! The Labdanum creates a beautiful Banana fragrance that pairs amazingly with the Fresh Banana that is included in this soap to create a truly rich and intense Banana. As this soap contains double Banana you get a fragrance that smells of both fresh green bananas and rich and creamy sweet foam banana sweets/banana milkshakes.   The Gardenia creates a fresh floral base that makes it feel like you're on a grand adventure and you've just found some fresh Bananas on the floor surrounding some blooming flowers.

I've been using this soap recently and not only do my hands feel gorgeous due to the blend of beautiful butters but also smells amazing. I've been using it mainly during the warm weather we've been having  in the UK and it truly has been getting me intothe Summer spirit!

Chameleon Bubble Bar

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Potassium Bitartrate (Cream of Tartar), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Extract (Orange Flower Extract), Jasminum Grandiflorum Flower Extract (Jasmine Extract), Zea Mays Starch (Cornstarch), Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, *Eugenol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Parfum, CI 42090:2, CI 19140:1, CI 42090

Who doesn't love a product that is truly a Chameleon?

We all need a bubble bar for those days where we need a little pamper and trust me this Chameleon Bubble Bar definitely helps with that.

Chameleon Bubble Bar contains Jasmine and Orange Flower which blends to create a very floral yet slightly summery fragrance that reminds me of when you walk into a field and you can smell all the flowers blooming in one go. I've slowly been getting more into Jasmine including Jasmine Tea and I have to say that the Iasmine helps to create a floral base that has a rich deepness to it whilst a Orange Flower helps to create a light citrus fragrance so when they combine together you get the best of both worlds!

I think that if you love florals and want something that still packs a punch but doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a bath bomb then a chameleon is definitely for you! I think that this would go perfectly with products such as  Symbol Of Love or Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Cheeky Monkey Bath Bomb

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter), Parfum, Potassium Bitartrate (Cream of Tartar), Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract (Vanilla Extract), Dipteryx Odorata Seed Extract (Tonka Seed Extract), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Almond Oil), Aqua (Water), Titanium Dioxide, Zea Mays Starch (Cornstarch), Theobroma Cacao Seed Powder (Cocoa Powder), Laureth-4, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Dipropylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat., Tin Oxide, Coumarin, CI 77491, CI 77499

Even Cheeky Monkeys need a bath now and again!

Cheeky Monkey contains  Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter which helps to deeply nourish the skin. I love the inclusion of Cocoa Butter in Bath Bombs as it means that I can step out feeling luxurious and nourished. Honestly when I use a bath bomb from Lush that contains Cocoa Butter I step out feeling like I've been bathing like Cleopatra would. The Cocoa Butter creates a bathing experience like Butterball does where it creates a gorgeous nourishing layer to your bath in the tub but also makes you just feel really pampered. I love using bath bombs containing Cocoa Butter after a long day.

Cheeky Monkey also contains Cocoa Powder. I know that this may sound weird and you may think that this addition will instantly turn your bath brown but it really doesn't. In my opinion, the Cocoa Powder just gave the fragrance of this Bath Bomb a slightly rich Chocolate undertone.

Talking of fragrance, Cheeky Monkey Bath Bomb contains Vanilla, Tonka and Almond which blend together to create a really creamy gourmand comforting fragrance that reminds me slightly of a creamy Banana Pudding. This bath bomb also shares the same fragrance as the Minions X Lush Bath Bomb and shower Gel.

I used Cheeky Monkey first thing in the morning before a day of meetings, video calls and emails and not only did I smell gorgeous but it set me up to not feel anxious for the day which trust me I am always in the need of! If you have the Banoffee Pie Products from Lush then you could pair them with this to create a beautiful Banana self care routine!

Rainforest Co-Mingle

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Aqua (Water/Spring Water), Propylene Glycol, Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract (Bamboo Stem Extract), Phytelephas Aequatorialis Seed Powder (Tagua Nut Powder), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Almond Oil), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil (Brazil Nut Oil), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter), Stearic Acid, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (Organic Argan Oil), Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter (CupuaƧu Butter), Cupressus Funebris Wood Oil (Cedarwood Oil), Cupressus Sempervirens Oil (Cypress Oil), Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil (Vetivert Oil), Cananga Odorata Flower Oil (Ylang Ylang Oil), Chondrus Crispus Extract (Carrageenan Extract), Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter), Passiflora Edulis Fruit Juice (Passion Fruit Juice), Gardenia Jasminoides Fruit Extract (Gardenia Extract), Fortunella Japonica (Fresh Kumquat Extract), Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract (Vanilla Pod Extract), Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Parfum, CI 42090

Even those exploring rainforests need a good cleanse!

If you're unsure on what a Co-Mingle is then let me tell you all about them! Co-Mingle are a three in one product from lush which consist of a gorgeous scrub which helps to get rid of dead skin and helps to reveal glowing new skin, a shower jelly to cleanse skin so you feel super clean even when in a rainforest and a body conditioner which helps to nourish the skin and ensure that it feels soft and hydrated which I feel sometimes we forget to ensure.

Rainforest Co-Mingle contains Bamboo Stem and Tagua Nut Powder which creates a truly exfoliating yet light scrub which helps to exfoliate the skin, get rid of dead skin and reveal gorgeous glowing skin. I love this combination of scrub from Lush. I've used it in other Co-Mingles and in other products such as Happy Skin and trust me when I say that it truly ensures that your skin feels scrubbed and clean without damaging it or making it feel red raw which in my opinion is what I'm always wanting. A deep scrub without my skin feeling irritated to hell for days.

This Co-Mingle contains Argan Oil, Almond Oil, Brazil Nut Oil, Shea Butter and some other gorgeous ingredients to truly condition your skin. All of the butters and oils in this product combine to ensure that once you've massaged this Co-Mingle into the skin and rinsed it off you will be feeling moisturised, soft and like your skin has been rejuvenated. As a dry skin person who is forever on the go I am a massive fan of Co-Mingles as not only do they combine three products into one I know that my skin will look and feel gorgeous every time that I use one and it only takes a few minutes in the shower to apply and achieve. I end up spending this time enjoying a song on a playlist or the last minute or two of a podcast before I have to get out.

This Co-Mingle contains Ho Wood, Cypress, Vetivert and Ylang Ylang. These oils blend together to create a really smoky woody fragrance that has a blast of green freshness with a floral undertone to it which I absolutely adore. I know that this may be cliche to say but this really does smell like nothing I've smelt before and I've smelt a lot in my lifetime!

I think that Rainforest Co-Mingle would be a perfect product to take on holiday with as not only does it free up space by bringing one product that does three jobs rather than three individual products but also this product has a fragrance that is made for Summer Holidays and beaches in my opinion.

Thank you again to the wonderful team at Lush for kindly sending me this Lush Kitchen Box! Did you manage to grab this box and if so what did you think of the goodies? Let me know!

Bringing The Brightness Back Within Yourself By Having A Beautiful Self Care Session | Lush Hanukkah 2025 Range

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about the brand new Lush Hanukkah 2025  Range.

The Lush Hanukkah 2025 range has been made in collaboration with Jewish Lush staff members across the globe who also celebrate Hanukkah so they can input the creators of products at Lush with their thoughts and experiences of Hanukkah over the years and what it means to them to put out products out into the world and beauty industry that showcase their culture.

A wide image of a darkly lit room with a light brown rectangular table with several items on the table such as a oval shaped light grey and brown bubble bar with a red flame shaped bath melt on the top, a rectangular gift box filled with lush products wrapped in gold packaging long, a gold knot wrap, a dark blue lush melt in a rectangular shape and a big cylindrical pot filled with golden and pink swirled sugar scrub with a black rectangular label with sufganiyah body scrub lush in white font on a bright background

Sufganiyah Body Scrub (from £11)

Ingredients:

Caster Sugar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Perfume, Almond Essential Oil, Carob Resinoid, Vanilla Absolute, Davana Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Lauryl Betaine, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene, Colour 45410:1, Colour 17200.

Sufganiyah are jelly doughnuts that eaten throughout the period of Hanukkah. The oil that is used to fry these doughnuts is used to make these pillowy soft delights symbolises the miracle of the oil lasting the eight days of Hanukkah.

Sufganiyah Body Scrub contains Caster Sugar and Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and Almond Oil. The Caster Sugar helps to scrub away dead skin without irritating the skin too much from not being too harsh whilst the trio of oils helps to ensure that the skin is soft and nourished.

I enjoy all of the scrubs from Lush. My skin is unpredictable all year round so I know that as long as I have at least one Lush Body Scrub on the go then I know that my skin will be fine. I do love the Salt Body Scrub from Lush such as Orange but sometimes especially in the colder months all I want in my self care pamper routine is a gorgeously soft Sugar Scrub just like what Sufganiyah is. I love how you can scoop your desired amount, work into a lather, rinse and feel like your skin has been cleansed and nourished in one and Sufganiyah is no different!

Sufganiyah Body Scrub has a mixture of two scents from Lush. Cookie Dough and Raspberry Soap. The Almond Essential Oil, Carob Resinoid and Vanilla Absolute blend together to create a gorgeous creamy Cookie Dough fragrance with a nutty undertone to it due to the addition of Almond essential Oil whilst Davana Oil and Sicilian Lemon Oil blend together to create a gorgeous punchy Raspberry fragrance. When these two stellar fragrances become one, it creates a truly ultimate gorgeous fragrance. I guess the best way to describe it is to imagine the ultimate Raspberry Ripple Ice cream or a super fresh yet luxurious Raspberry Cheesecake and times it by ten. If you're a fan of anything fruity but still love gourmand fragrances then honestly go get to a Lush store and grab this beautiful body scrub and give it a sniff as think you will love it.

I Go give this beauty a sniff, try it out in store, grab it for yourself or gift it to anyone who adores fruity scents. Do all of the things! If you are wondering how to use this in regards to the Winter months as you think it's more of a Summer scent that I. Suggest pairing this with something like Posh Chocolate Shower Gel to create a beautiful Chocolate Raspbwrry scent that will make you think of a lavish and luxurious dessert that stands proud in the centre of the table on Christmas Day evening for everyone to enjoy.

Menorah Melt Lush Melt (£8)

Ingredients:

Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Illipe Butter, Cetearyl Olivate & Sorbitan Olivate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Polysorbate 20, Silica, Glyceryl Stearate, Kokum Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Perfume, Almond Oil, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Olibanum Oil, Guaiacwood Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Water (Aqua), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Propylene Glycol, Tin Oxide, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Benzyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Farnesol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 77007, Colour 42090:2, Colour 42090, Colour 77491, Colour 60725.

If you haven't used a Lush Melt from Lush then let me tell you all about them. Lush Melts from Lush are quite multipurpose. You can use them on your personal wax burner to scent the home with a beautiful fragrance from Lush that can help you to relax after a long day or help to uplift you when you're feeling unwell. You can also use them in the bath to create a luxurious self care experience. All of Lush's Lush Melts contain a beautiful base of butters that melt in the bath alongside a beautiful array of essential oils that scent the bath. As the base of the melts are butters and oils (Olive Oil, Shea Butter and Kokum Butter just to name a few) they all melt beautifully in the water and nourish the skin so if you want something luxurious that can help to moisturise the skin especially now that the colder months are kicking in but aren't feeling a bath bomb then these Lush Melts may be for you!

Menorah Melt is slightly bigger than the other Lush Melts at Lush as Menorah contains eight individual pieces that can be snapped off the Lush Melt bar which then can be used to burn or bathe in each day of Hanukkah.

Menorah Malt contains Almond Oil, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Olibanum Oil and Guaiacwood Oil which all melt together to create a fresh woody scent with a touch of creaminess in the background. If you are a fan of the Shade fragrance from Lush then you will cherish Menorah Melt as it shares the same scent.

I quite like the Shade fragrance from Lush on my skin and I quite like the scent of Menorah Melt but to me there's a bit of a strange aquatic scent when I smelt this melt on store which I was a bit confused by but I think that this would be a perfect product to burn during the colder months or for when you're having a festive themed party.

I also love the fact that you get eight squares to snap off for each day of Hanukkah. I also think that this would make for an amazing little gift for someone as it gives them the choice of either using square for a bath or to scent the home with.

A photo of a large dark blue rectangular bath melt with L U S H M E L T engraved into the squares with a light brown rectangular cardboard sleeve that says Menorah Melt Lush Melt Lush in dark black font on a bright background

Shamash Bubble Bar (£8)

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Lauryl Betaine, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Cornstarch, Perfume, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Almond Essential Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Organic Carnauba Wax, Gardenia Extract, Laureth 4, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Silica, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamal, *Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 77491, Colour 19140, Colour 15510.

Shamash is a Yiddish word for helper and also refers to the central candle in the Menorah.

Shamash Bubble Bar is a two in one product as it contains a Bubble Bar base with a Bath Melt top.

Shamash Bubble Bar contains Cinnamon Leaf, Almond, Brazilian Orange and Clove Bud Oils which blend together to create a gorgeous spicy scent with a slightly sweet edge to it with a citrus undertone from the Orange. If you're a fan of the Cinders scent from Lush which is available at the moment in a Candle format (which I need to grab one of) then you'll enjoy Shamash Bubble Bar as they both smell quite similar.

I quite like how the Bubble Bar also has a bath Melt on the top as not only does it represent the flame on the top of the Candles in the Menorah but also helps the nourish the skin and makes the price of the Bubble Bar feel even better. As Shamash contains a Bath Melt that contains Cocoa Butter which will help to nourish the skin during the cold months alongside having a spicy fragrance that will help to make you feel warm and cosy.

I have recently used Shamash and I absolutely adore it. I am a sucker for anything that is spicy. When I crumbled this product onto the bottom of my tub before running it, I could already smell the shady aroma of Cinnamon and Almond which created a gorgeous spicy scent with a touch of nutty sweetness to it. When the bath was ran and I was enjoying it I was noticing a touch more of the citrus notes that were coming from the Brazilian Orange and that touch of deep smokiness that comes from Clove Bud. I also whacked the melt in because I had a bad day and wanted a bit of soothing and nourishment as my skins already been going through it alongside my mental health at the moment and the melt added a deep dimension to the bathing experience. Not only did it provide nourishment to my dry skin but also added an element of luxury to the bath. I noticed a bit more slickness from the Clove Bud in the Bath Melt and I  honestly enjoyed watching it melt into the bubbles that had been created from the Bubble Bar.

I think that this would be amazing for when you've just come in from a long day or pre/post going to the local Christmas Markets as it does have a element of Christmas Markets to it due to the spices and citrus fruit that are running throughout this Bath product. I think that it would also be an amazing way to spend the end of the Haukkah period and go out with a self care pamper.

Brightness Within Gift Set (£23)

Letting the brightness within will be the only way you shine!

Alongside these three products that make up the most of the Lush Hanukkah 2025 Range, Lush have also released two other products which includes a great Gift Set.

Brightness Within Gift Set is inspired by celebrating the brightness within yourself during the Hanukkah period.

Brightness Within features a beautiful yet  playful design. This design celebrates the many elements of Hanukkah and was designed by artist Noa Snir who is based in Berlin, Germany. Noa uses colour and humour to create playful, relatable imagery. On the Lush website, for the description of this Gift Set there is a quote from Noa. Noa says, “In my design, I wanted to show the fun, warm, beautiful, plentiful aspects of this holiday. For me, it is truly a celebration of community; of finding reasons together to be joyous and brighten up each other's days in the darkest time of the year.”

This Gift Set contains a small bottle of Posh Chocolate Shower Gel and a small tub of the brand new Sufganiyah Body scrub to represent the Chocolate Gelt's and the Sufganiyah's that are both enjoyed during the Hanukkah holiday period. Furthermor ,you can use either of these to help start your day up or to relax and give yourself a gorgeous pamper after a long day or you can combine the two products together to create a super gorgeous self care routine that is full of gourmand goodness with a slightly raspberry fruity kick.

I think that if you have anyone in your life who loves anything Gourmand orientated then this would make for an amazing gift or for anyone who would love just a perk up or  a self care session this Winter season.  I am very much tempted to grab this for myself to perk myself up. I adore the Posh chocolate scent and have been enjoying the Sufgniyah scent and the tub in this would be perfect to go into my travel bag.

A zoomed in white brown rectangular gift box with some yellow gift wrap on top of it with a small oval dark blue gift tag with brightness within gift set in yellow font next to a small cylindrical bottle filled with dark brown shower gel with a black cylindrical blade and a black rectangular label that says chocolate shower gel Lush in white font next to a small cylindrical pot filled with swirl yellow and pink body scrub with a black rectangular label that says Sufganiyah Body Scrub Lush in white font on a bright background

The Eighth Flame Knot Wrap (£7)

This Knot Wrap is fire!

Have you purchased or used a Knot Wrap from Iush before? They can be used for almost anything and everything! Lush knot Wraps are made from recycled materials and can be used for a multitude of purposes. Whether it be as a great fashion accessory, as a little bag for some goodies that you have recently bought or as an amazing alternative to wrapping paper for someone's gift or your own gift to yourself this Hanukkah. (We all need to treat ourselves as well as others this giving season!)

This knot wrap is made by the wonderful Noa who has helped to design the Gift Set in this range too and focuses on the candles burning in the menorah and letting the brightness in.

I think that this could be a great way to gift some items up in for Hanukkah and gives whoever you gift it to the option to reuse it via having it as a bandana, tablecloth etc or go into Lush and trade it in for a new Knot Wrap under their Knot Wrap scheme.

Have you checked out any of the Lush Hanukkah 2025 Range? Have you tried out the Sifganiyah Body Scrub? What are your thoughts on Gourmand fragrances? Let me know!

Bring Back My Perfumes! | Seven Fragrances I Would Like To See To Return At Lush

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! Lush recently released a form for the Lush Community to fill out which is focused around what seven fragrances they would like to see return at Lush so I thought that I'd talk to you all today my seven that I'd like to return.

All Good Things Perfume

All Good Things contains Cedarwood Oil, Rose Oil, Tonka Absolute and Cade Oil.

I adored All Good Things when it was available at Lush stores. When it was available, I was told that it was inspired by all things smoky and sweet. A true fragrance dichotomy.

All Good Things was influenced by both Tobacco and Candy Floss. This sounds like a very unique and unusual combination but it truly worked. The Cedarwood and Cade provided the smokiness. Cedarwood added a slightly fireworks note whereas the Cade added an earthy type of note which evokes post smoking a cigarette. Cade Oil is also the same oil that makes up the smoky aspect of the 4:20/Botanomancy Fragrance at Lush.  The Rose and Tonka make up the Candy Floss part of the scent. The Rose adds a slight floral and I guess a very pink scent to the fragrance whilst the Tonka and Rose that Vanilla Sugar note that you associate quite vividly with candy floss. I do get tobacco but I also get a hint of the weather after the fireworks have been let off and honestly I adore it.

I think bringing this back out in the Autumn would be amazing! I know that some say that all good things must come to an end but why not throw that saying in the bin and re-release them into the world?

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis contains Labdanum Resinoid, Sicilian Red Mandarin Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Neroli Oil and Sandalwood Oil.

I have been longing for Metamoprhosis Bath Bomb and Perfume to make a massive comeback. I know that Metamorphosis Bath Bomb is coming back in the form of September's Kitchen Box and I cannot wait. However, I managed to smell the perfume at a Lush Showcase event and I fell in love with it but it became a hunt to find it ever again. Sadly the perfume was only available for a very short time to the point that when I found it in a store I smelt it and wanted it to develop and when I went back to get it it had completely vanished.

The main star for me is the Clove Bud Oil that provides it bold punch of spice to the scent. The Sicilian Red Mandarin and Labdanum to me blend together to create a slightly powdery yet still slightly punchy citrus scent that pairs beautifully with the clove whilst neroli helps to make the scents pop and adds a slight peppery note to the scent.

This truly is a fragrance that is suited for the colder months. To me, this scent reminds me slightly of walking through the festive markets on a cold afternoon. The smell of the slightly charred scent mixed with the wood of the markets, the slightly peppery note from vendors nearby and the blast of citrus that comes from the mulled punches that are bubbling and that are ready to be sipped by passerbys and visitors to the market.

As this fragrance was out for such a short time, if it was to come back I would be the first to run to my local store to snag a bottle up!

Rentless

Rentless contains Patchouli Oil, Labdanum Resinoid,  Tonka Absolute and Grapefruit Oil.

Are you aware of the story that inspired Rentless to become a perfume at Lush?

Inspired by Tachowa Covington, Rentless evokes the story of the twenty five years Covington spent being homeless in California. After stumbling upon an abandoned tank, he decided to convert it into his home. Covington made an oath with God that he would spend his new life and care and nurture those who needed his help. Whilst renovating the tank, he decided to fill it with a plethora of recycled items. Covington used these materials to design  makeshift shelving and trinkets with. Things took a turn when the well known street artist Banksy thought Covington's home was something to be mocked at. Banksy decided to write 'This Looks a Bit Like an Elephant' across the tank. Due to how well known Banksy and his work is, the tank sparked interest from a plethora of people. This caused the tank to be purchased by a construction company. This purchase demolished the memories, the home and the life that he had created for himself.

The Patchouli and Labdanum blend together to create a spicy slightly woody scent that reminds me slightly of wood that's been burnt in the middle of a forest in the height of Autumn whilst the Tonka adds a rich creamy note that also adds a slight hit of Vanilla to the mix. The grapefruit adds a punchy fruitiness to this perfume. When all of these oils are blended together it creates a truly unique scent that reminds me of the beginning of Autumn.

When I've asked people in the past about which perfumes they would like to see return, Rentless is always one that is forever mentioned so I am a bit surprised that it hasn't returned to Lush stores already!

A close up of a glass cykdiencual jar filled with dark brown solid perfume with a black circular lid on the side of the jar with a black circular label that says rentoess solid perfume gorilla perfume lush in white font on a bright background

Smugglers Soul

Smugglers Soul contains Sandalwood, Vetivert, Lemongrass and Tagetes.

The Sandalwood and Vetivert to me create a deep woody scent that has a fresh yet earthy edge to it. I adore Vetivert especially in other perfumes from Lush such as Dear John! The Lemongrass and Tagetes blend together to create a fresh yet citrus scent which helps the fragrance to be quite multidimensional compared to a lot of woody fragrances that are on the market. I loved Snuggers Soul on a slightly cool Spring day when I was going out running errands and needed a pick me up or on evenings out

Lush have re-released the Smugglers Soul Face and Body Scrub as a part of their retro range that is stocked behind the till which has brought a new audience to the fragrance. I think that they should re-release the perfume too as it would give a brand new audience the opportunity to use the scrub and perfume jointly as a sort of their morning routine perhaps?

Superworld Unknown

Superworld Unknown contains Lime Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Cassia Oil, Neroli Oil, Rose Absolute, Sandalwood Oil, Cocoa Absokute and Styrax Resinoid.

Superworld Unknown is inspired by all things funfairs such as candy floss, lemon sherbet and all the nostalgic memories that come with it.

The Cassia, Lime and Lemon blend together to create the focus of this scent which creates a sort of scent that is reminiscent of that iconic Cola drink that we all know quite well. The Styrax and Cocoa give a sort of creamy sweetness to the perfume with a sort of slightly woody note in the background. I think it may just be but it does remind me slightly of that creamy sugary scent that you get when you walk past a funfair that is making fresh fries filled doughnuts. It's a fun spicy creamy scent that has pinches of bright citrus throughout it. I absolutely adore it. A scent that works for both   Summer and Winter in my opinion.

I know that it has only been recently discontinued but honestly brig it back Lush. I don't know why it was discontinued especially when it was released in a Kitchen Box in a sugar scrub format. I recently did see it at the Lush Arndale store but it was only in a tester bottle which saddened me as I was very much tempted to grab a final bottle if they had any left. I think Superworld Unknown should be re-released as a solid perfume and a 30ml bottle. I think that would be amazing and would give those who couldn't afford the 100ml bottle the opportunity to experience this perfume!

A wide angled photo of a rectangular bottle full of dark brown perfume with a black cykdiencual lid and a white rectangular label with Superworld unknown perfume lush in gold font on a black rectangular label šŸ·️ n a bright background

Celebrate

Celebrate Perfume contains Brazilian Orange Oil, Lime Oil and Cognac Oil.

If you have been a fan of Lush for a while then you may know Celebrate via the Celebrate Shower Gel, Celebrate Body Spray, Bubbly Gel/Lotion, Golden Wonder Bath Bomb or Catch Me If You Can Bath Bomb. The list really goes on. Celebrate truly is the queen of the party!

If you're not aware of Celebrate then imagine a fragrance that truly is the epitome of a Bucks Fizz Cocktail at the beginning of a party. The Brazilian Orange Oil and Lime Oil create a sharp citrus fragrance that is sharp and zesty whilst the Cognac Oil provides a slightly sparkling base that makes you keep sniffing to figure out what it truly is.

As mentioned above, Celebrate has been in the format of a Body Spray but the perfume version was just unbelievable. The citrus just popped so brightly and the Cognac created a complex base that for me isn't the same in the Body Spray due to the switch up from Cognac to Wine Lees Oil. I am also a little bias as this was one of the first fragrances from the old Lush Kitchen that I managed to get my hands on. I adored it. I sprayed it liberally. I miss it dearly. I know that Celebrate Body Spray has been included via the Christmas Range in years gone by so I feel like this could be a good contender for the Christmas 2026 line up. There are a few fragrances in this blog post that would be amazing as a product in the Holiday range but that's me being me.

Princess Cottongrass

Princess Cottongrass contains Pine Oil, Neroli Oil, Nettle Absolute and Violet Leaf Absolute.

The Neroli and Violet Lead blend together to create a soft floral whilst the Pine and Nettle blend together create a very fresh grassy scent that has a blast of aromatic spiciness peeking through. I realise that floral, grassy and aromatic could sound overwhelming and chaotic and I guess Princess cotton grass was but in an amazing way. Beautifully chaotic some may say but I think that's what the heart of Lush is sometimes and I think at the time of release Princess Cottongrass and some of the other perfumes that came out at the same time summed that up perfectly. (Stayin' Alive, Cyanide and Death & Decay to name a few).

The main reason of why I think Princess cotton grass is because in my opinion it's the right time to. It would fit in with Grass SHOWER Gel returning and now being a firm favourite and staple in all Lush stores, the Mossy Bottom Body Spray that shares the same scent as Grass, Guardians Of The Forest Body Spray that I think would be beautiful as a base for Princess Cottongrass to layer on top of and the brand new Roo In the Nettles Facial Cleanser!

If you could bring back any perfume from Lush? Let me know!

Thanks for reading!

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Some Lovely Lemon Lush Products With Them! | Lush Kitchen July Shower Box 2025

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently received my Lush Kitchen July Shower Box and I thought that today I would talk to you all about the contents of the box and my thoughts on the box as a whole!

The theme of Julys box is simply when life gives you Lemons. Some people decide to make Lemonade out of Lemons or a gorgeous Lemon Drizzle Cake but Lush have decided to turn their Lemons  into Lemon scented cosmetic products!

A car photo of a square light brown box containing some white ecopops, a syringe plastic shower gel bottle filled with yellow shower gel and a black with a yellow rectangular label with lemon shower gel Lush in green font next to a square slab of light yellow soap with yellow bits of lemon zest running throughout it next to a black cylindrical pot filled with slightly tinted yellow but still white body conditioner with a circular black lid and a circular yellow label with Lemony footer body conditioner Lush in green font next to a clear plastic cylindrical tub filled with yellow and green facial cleanser with a clear circular red and a yellow circular label with lemon aid facial cancer Lush in green font next to a small cylindrical glass jar filled with yellow sugar scrub with a black circular lid and a yellow circular label with nibble lip scrub Lush in green font with a yellow and green cardboard sleeve behind the box with when life gives you lemons Lush in yellow and green font on a light brown rectangular table on a bright background

Lemon Shower Gel

Ingredients:

Glycerine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Irish Moss Infusion (Chondrus crispus), Water (Aqua), Fresh Lemon Juice (Citrus limonum), Lauryl Betaine, *Limonene, Perfume, Myrrh Resinoid (Commiphora myrrha), Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogon citratus), Bergamot Oil (Citrus Aurantium bergamia), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Carrageenan Extract (Chondrus crispus), Citral, Linalool.

I have been longing for a Lemon centric Shower Gel from Lush for a while so as soon as I heard that this Kitchen Box was dropping I knew that I had to have it for the Shower Gel alone! I used to adore the Refresher Shower Jelly which to me was the epitome of Lemon Curd in shower form when it was available to purchase from Lush stores.

The blend of Myrrh, Lemongrass and Bergamot creates a beautiful scent. The combination of these three different oils creates a scent that reminds me of the smell of freshly cut Lemons on a hot Summer day with a slightly sharp kick in the background from the Lemongrass. I was a bit unsure on how the Myrrh would smell in regards to creating a fresh citrus scent but to me it helps to create a slightly fresh slightly woody background note that helps the Lemongrass and Bergamot be the stars of the show in this Shower Gel. If you are been loving Lush for a while now then you may remember this scent by a different name. lemon smelt that contained chunks of cocoa Butter on the top of the gel to help nourish the skin. Although Lemon doesn't contain the cocoa Butter it does contain Glycerine that is known to provide the skin with plenty of moisture  and nourishment.

I have been absolutely loving using this so far and could definitely see this reappearing at Lush in the form of a seasonal range or this time next year as a part of a fully fledged Summer Range. If you're listening Lush then please re-release Refresher Shower Jelly whilst you're at it if you are releasing a Summer Range. Thanks!

Lemony Flutter Body Conditioner

Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Fair Trade Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Glycerine, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Sicilian Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia), Tagetes Oil (Tagetes minuta), Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria chamomilla), Citral, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume.

We all need our bodies to be soft and supple even during the hot summer months!

Lemony Flutter Body Conditioner does just that! If you're unsure on what a body conditioner is then imagine a sort of in-shower body butter that you wash off before hopping out of the bath/shower instead of applying after and having to wait forever for it to absorb into the skin!

Lemony Flutter contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Fair Trade Organic Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter which combine to create a lovely base for the Body Conditioner that will moisturise and soften the skin when you apply it in the tub or shower!

Lemony Flutter contains Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lavender Oil, Chamomile Blue Oil alongside some other goodies which combine to create a lovely sharp citrus scent with a soft herbal background. This also shares the same scent as the Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter.

When I used this in the shower, the conditioner glided on my skin and the sharp citrus scent engulfed my entire bathroom. I left it on for a couple of minutes massaged it into my skin and rinsed it off to reveal soft smooth glowing skin. I loved the scent of this whilst I was enjoying my pamper session in the bathroom.

The Lavender and Chamomile came out a little bit more post shower. I tend to be a bit hesitant with some Lavender and chamomile scented products as it can come across a bit too much and always reminds me a bit of my local swimming baths.  (Thinking about it now, this might be why I stray away from products such as Dream Cream until the Winter period of the year...) I was a touch surprised by this because I was expecting the Lemon to stay as strong as it did when first applying it to my skin but I did still enjoy the body conditioner as a whole as the citrus scent that was left behind stopped the Lavender and Chamomile from being too much to use for myself personally.

If you have quite dry skin and feel like nothing is moisturising it enough then I think that the body conditioners at Lush will help your skin severely!

A zoomed in photo of a small cylindrical black pot filled with slightly yellow yet still white thick body conditioner with a circular black lid with a yellow circular label with lemony flutter body conditioner lush in green and black font next to a half of a yellow lemon on a bright background

Nibble Lip Scrub

Ingredients:

Caster Sugar, Fair Trade Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Glycerine, Sicilian Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), *Limonene, Citric Acid, Citral, Geraniol.

We all need a lip scrub to keep our lips soft and supple for all that summer loving!

For this Kitchen Box, Lush have turned a few Lemons into a brand new flavour of their iconic Lip Scrub thats full of zesty goodness! This lip scrub contains Caster Sugar which creates the base of this gorgeous product and helps to make lips soft and gorgeous. Sicilian Lemon Oil and Citric Acid blend together to create a super sharp Lemon flavour and the Organic Jojoba Oil helps to moisturise lips which I adore as some lip scrubs from other brands in the past have left my lips really dry and irritated!

Nibble does only contain Sicilian Lemon Oil but sometimes less is best as it allows the Sicilian Lemon Oil to really shine bright in this lip scrub. I'm sure by now you can tell that I love anything Lemon so a severely bright and sharp Lemon flavoured Lip Scrubs is truly the dream for me.

A zoomed in photo of a small glass cylindrical jar full of lemons n yellow sugar scrub with a black circular lid with a yellow circular label with nibble lip scrub lush in green and black font next to a yellow lemon half on a bright background

Sexy Peel Soap

Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Rapeseed Oil; Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera), Propylene Glycol, Cornstarch (Zea mays), Fresh Lemon Peel (Citrus limonum), Fresh Orange Peel (Citrus aurantium dulcis), *Limonene, Fresh Lemon Juice (Citrus limonum), Fresh Orange Juice (Citrus aurantium dulcis), Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Fresh Lime Peel (Citrus aurantifolia), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Perfume, Grapefruit Oil (Citrus paradisi), Fresh Lime Juice (Citrus aurantifolia), Sicilian Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Bicarbonate, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Citral, Geraniol, Linalool.

Lush is bringing sexy back! Sexy Peel that is!

Sexy Peel used to be an utterly zingy staple at Lush stores and I adored it. Every time I went into a Lush store I would always find it on the shelf and make sure I gave it a sniff as it always just perked my day up and made me want to enjoy the rest of my day even if it was a busy weekend in the middle of Leeds city centre where people would rush to get somewhere , bump into you and not apologise.

Sexy Peel being a fun spin on the term zesty peel helps to showcase not only the oils of the fruits that are used in this soap and on many other cosmetic products but also the zest/peel of the same fruits too!

Sexy Peel contains Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lime Oil and Grapefruit Oil alongside Fresh Lime Peel, Fresh Lemon Peel and Fresh Orange Peel which blend together to create a truly zingy soap that will perk you up no matter what time of the day it is or how bad your day has been going.

I've been using this Soap since the box arrived and I know that I am going to be truly saddened when I finish this slice of Soap!

A zoomed in photo of a yellow square piece of soap with orange green and yellow pieces of zest run throughout it next to a open slice of yellow lemon on a bright abound

Lemon Aid Cleanser

Ingredients:

Kaolin, Glycerine, Ground Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Tahini (Sesamum indicum), Fresh Carrot (Daucus carota sativa), Water (Aqua), Fresh Lemon Zest (Citrus Limonum), Propylene Glycol, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Sicilian Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Carrageenan Extract (Chondrus crispus), Limonene, Colour 15985:1, Colour 19140:1.

When life gives you lemons, make Lemon Aid!

Lush have decided to turn their lemonade into a gorgeous Lemon Aid Fresh Facial Cleanser!

This cleanser contains Ground Almond that help to scrub away dirt and grime alongside Kaolin which is known for its oil absorbing properties. Lemon Aid also contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter to ensure that the cleanser itself isn't too stripping for the face!

Lemon Aid also contains Fresh Carrot which is known for its Vitamin C properties which in turn helps to give the skin a subtle glow that makes you look like you're radiant from within! This facial cleanser also contains Sicilian Lemon Oil which creates a gorgeous punchy Lemon scent that will help to wake you up on those days in the summer where getting up even feels a little bit too much!

I have seen that a few people have been a bit confused when receiving this facial cleanser due to the jelly layer on top courtesy of Carrageenan Extract. I have seen people use it as an eye mask post cleansing the face, I have seen people shredding it up and mixing it and many other ways of using it. My favourite when it comes to the Jelly layer is to peel it off the top of the Ground Almond and Kaolin base of Lemon Aid and use it as a Jelly Cleanser. Lush have created Carrageenan based facial products before so in my mind that made the most sense. I have been enjoying using the jelly cleanser layer alongside the scrubby cleanser.  (Let me know how you've been using the jelly layer!) I do get that it does seem a bit weird for a cleanser to come with a jelly layer and maybe Lish could explain why but as I say above as someone who uses a lot of cleansers I just took it to be a sort of jelly cleanser.

I have enjoyed  incorporating Lemon Aid into my skin care routine especially since we've had a heatwave in the UK. The ground almonds have helped to keep my skin feeling smooth. Ive loved how the Carrot gives me a glow.

Since the beginning of the year, I have become a bit of a glow fiend when it comes to my skincare regime. For example, I do use Bright and Beautiful from Lush which contains 10% Vitamin C which if you're looking for a more vibrant glow to the skin compared to Lemon Aid then it might be worth looking into and trying out.

I do think that they could specify the situation with the Carrageenan and the jelly layer as I think it would make using it a bit easier for some of those who have subscribed and received this Kitchen Box but on the whole I think that this would be a great product during the summer months in Lush stores!

A zoomed in photo of a clear cylindrical plastic tub filled with yellow cleanser with a blue jelly layer on top with a clear lid with a yellow circular label with lemon aid fresh facial cleanser lush in green and black font on a bright background

Overall, as you can tell, I really enjoy this Kitchen Box. There's a variety of products to use for the face and the body and the products all contain a sharp lemon scent in one way or another that make you want to either drink cocktails and bathe in the sun or feel refreshed after a long gruelling week. I adore Lemons in many ways as I have stated throughout this post but honestly I wasn't expecting to enjoy this Kitchen Box to the point that I need this Box to become a Summer mini range at Lush alongside Refreher Shower Jelly (pretty please Lush!)

#AD | Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask from Lush Cosmetics

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I was recently kindly sent the Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask from Lush and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

A zoomed in photo of a open circular shallow clear pot filled with neon blue face mask with white pieces of ground rice next to a circular clear lid with a neon blue circular label with don't look at me lush fresh face mask in white font on a bright background

Ingredients:

Kaolin, Fresh Organic Lemon Juice, Glycerine, Organic Rice Syrup, Ground White Rice, Organic Silken Tofu, Murumuru Butter, Bentone gel, Rice Milk, Grapefruit Oil, Neroli Oil, Water (Aqua), Citral, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume, Colour 42090

I have tried this Fresh Face Mask but it was a long while ago due to Lush releasing other fabulous Face Masks after Don't Look At Me so it was fabulous that I was retrying this one as it felt like I was trying it for the first time all over again.

Lush Fresh Face Masks are designed to be kept refrigerated due to the plethora of the fresh ingredients that are in each of the fresh Face Masks. Each of the Fresh Face Masks including Don't Look At Me should be used within 28 days of receiving your Fresh Face Masks for the ultimate skincare experience!

The smell of Don't Look At Me is amazing and hits you right in the face when you open thie lid. The Grapefruit and Neroli combine to create a truly delicious scent. I am a bit hesitant when it comes to Neroli as sometimes it can be a bit overpowering but it works beautifully in this face mask as it adds a bit of depth to the Grapefruit. The combination always makes me think of warm weather and holidays due to it being so uplifting and delicious.

Don't Look At 'Me contains Ground White Rice which is used as a scrub within this face mask. The Ground White Rice helps to exfoliate the skin without irritating the skin too much which I adore because I do enjoy a light scrub when it comes to my face. My skin has a tendency of deciding when it wants to behave and when it doesn't so when it isn't behaving Ground White Rice is a great way to exfoliate dead skin without causing my skin to feel more irritated. When my skin feels and looks  irritated I feel a little bit more self conscious.

Silken Tofu plays a big part in creating the super rich texture of Don't Look At Me alongside Rice Milk and Glycerine. They also help to moisturise the skin and ensure that it stays soft and supple. After the Ground White Rice has done its thing it is best to ensure that you are putting moisture back into the skin and trust me these three ingredients will definitely do that! I was a bit intrigued when I saw Silken Tofu was included as ingredient in this face mask but it makes sense when you look into it. Silken Tofu is known for containing a plethora of Vitamins  such as Vitamin K and Calcium and is rich in Protein which can help to nourish the skin and help the skin barrier.

I applied this onto my face for ten minutes and left it to do its wonderful thing. After the ten minutes were complete, before removing the face mask, I worked the grains of Ground White Rice into my skin for a quick minute to ensure that it exfoliated my skin. I slowly removing the beautifully blue coloured Face Mask off my skin with warm water and a face cloth working in circular motions for a quick second especially around my troublesome areas and facial hair and then a swiping motion.

After washing the mask off, I could notice a good difference in what my skin looked and felt like before using Don't Look At Me compared to after. My skin felt smooth, soft and hydrated due to all of the lovely ingredients that are in Don't Look At Me. Furthermore, I've been using Don't Look At Me constantly for the past two weeks now and I've noticed more of a radiant glow to my skin which I have adored. I think the radiant glow has come mainly from the face mask helping to hydrate and protect my skin but also from the Fresh Lemon Juice that is also in Don't Look At Me.

If you're looking for a great Summer Face Mask that not only smells utterly gorgeous and refreshing but helps your skin to feel and look more nourished alongside giving it a radiant glow then I think that you will love Don't Look At Me. If you're also looking for a Face Mask that will help dry skin look and feel a little bit less rubbish without being stripping like a lot of Face Masks can be for some then I think that don't Look At Me may be a great face mask for you to dabble into.

Thanks again to the wonderful team at Lush for sending me the Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask.

Lush have just released some lovely brand new fresh skincare products that include new Fresh Face Masks such as Nutkins, Coconut Shie and Hanami alongside brand new cleansers such as Biomic and Koji Paste. I am slowly trying out some of the brand new products so so keep an eye out as I will be posting blog posts about them when I have fully tried them out.

Time To Create Some Bad Romance In The Bath | Lush Products That I Associate With Lady Gaga

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I am sure that you are aware by now that  Lady Gaga has released a brand new album this week titled Mayhem and I thought that I would cause my own mayhem and create a blog post all about the products from Lush that make me think of Gaga whether these are things I associate with Gaga or products that I think would fit with her songs or albums. (This post isn’t including Mayhem but I may do another one in the future that focuses more on Mayhem and Lush products).

Black Rose Bath Bomb

Bad Romance is one of Lady Gaga’s well known songs and when I think of Bad Romance I kind of think of  Roses because well I associate black with being dark and roses with romance.

This Bath Bomb contains Pakistani Rose Absolute, Rose Oil, Geranium Oil and Sicilian Lemon Oil.

Black Rose shares the same scent as Rose Jam which smells like an intense yet decadent sweet rose scent with a citrus kick to it. Mix this scent with the dark deep colours that explode out of the bath bomb and into the waters and you’ve got the perfect bath bomb to blast Bad Romance with and have a self care evening.

A photo of a rose shaped black bath bomb slowly dissolving into a tub of water and letting out black sparkly bath art into the tub on a brigh background

Love Perfume

A perfect scent to wear before you tell someone that you want their stupid love. I know that this is an obvious one but I think that Love goes perfectly with Stupid Love.

This perfume contains Ylang Ylang Absolute and Oil, Rose Absolute,  Bergamot Oil, Jasmine Absolute and Lemongrass which combine to create a truly heady scent that reminds me of comforting Apple Pie with a slightly sultry bright floral twang to it.

This is going to sound a bit weird but this kind of screams Stupid Love to me because I feel that within society we have to stick to certain fragrances when it comes to romance and gift giving which is stupid in itself to stick to what society dictates us that we should be doing a specific thing for a specific emotion rather than choosing slightly more niche or different scents which still evoke the same emotion but in a different and maybe unconventional way such as Love from Lush which makes me feel comforted and loved in a different way than a pure true and heady floral fragrance does.

A photo of a 100ml tall rectangular glass bottle filled with light perfume with a black label on top with love perfume lush in silver font one. Bright background

Magik

Magik is a range of its own but I think regarding Gaga I want to focus mainly on the Bath Bomb and Massage Bar.

Gaga has discussed in many interviews and other platforms that she suffers from fibromyalgia and chronic pain and Magik definitely helps with when you’re feeling in pain and needing to relax.

Magik Bath Bomb contains Epsom Salt, Chamomile Blue Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute, Ylang Ylang Absolute, CBD and Shittake Mushroom Powder.

This bath bomb contains 64,000mg of Epsom Salts which are used to help relax the body alongside CBD whilst the plethora of oils create a slightly smoky deep floral scent that just helps to relax you. I think that Gaga would love using this for when she is in a flare up.

A photo of a square cube shaped pink, purple and green bath bomb with Kish CBD engraved on top slowly dissolving in a tub of water on a bright background

The Massage Bar contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Calamine Powder, Moringa Oil,  Fair Trade Shea Butter, Ashwagandha Root and Ginseng Root Infusion, Illipe Butter, Fresh Shittake Mushroom and CBD alongside Chamomile Blue Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute, Ylang Ylang Absolute The massage bar also contains

The plethora of beautiful butters will help to make Gaga’s skin feel smooth and supple whilst the CBD, Ginseng and Ashwagandha will help Gaga to feel relaxed. I can also see her using this after a long day of rehearsals or straight after a performance. Who knows, she could even take this on the road when she is on tour and have an instant hit of relaxation.

A photo of two white hands holding a oval purple and green oval massage bar with magik engraved in chunk font and golden lustre on top onto someone’s white arm on a brighrbabcoteound

Vegan Leather Jacket Perfume

If anything is the scent that reminds me of the Born This Way era from Lady Gaga then it is Vegan Leather Jacket from Lush.

Vegan leather Jacket contains Clove Bud Oil, Vetivert Oil, Tonka Absolute and Tobacco Absolute. These oils combine to create a truly smoky fragrance that is out of this world. The best way to describe this as a fragrance is to imagine the smell of a post motorbike race in the middle of Autumn near a venue that has had fireworks going off or somewhere that has just burnt wood for an outdoor fire whilst someone is watching and drinking a spicy cocktail.

All of this screams Born This Way to me and honestly if Lush had created this fragrance during the era roll out I feel that Gaga would have bathed in it. (Side note Lush if you’re listening, please do more with the Vegan Leather Jacket scent). If you have this fragrance then I urge you to blast the BTW album especially songs like Heavy Metal Lover and spritz a tiny bit of this beautiful biker inspired fragrance on.

Intergalactic Shower Gel

Yes this is a bit of an on the nose one but I couldn’t write this post and not mention Intergalactic being the perfect scent family to use whilst blasting Venus or honestly just singing your way through the whole ARTPOP Album.

Intergalactic contains Fresh Mint Infusion, Fine Sea Salt, Peppermint Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Vetivert Oil and Sandalwood Oil. This blend of oils will definitely set you up for a day of being creative. That blast of Peppermint and Grapefruit will definitely make you feel like you’re about to blast off to Venus.

I absolutely adore Intergalactic and make sure to have Venus on the mix when I’m using Intergalactic.  If you wanted to, you could always use the Glitter Spray for that extra minty boost and a bit of sparkle. (Just an idea for if Lady Gaga announces a tour surrounding Mayhem and you’re unsure on what to smell like)…

Birth Of Venus Jelly Mask

Following on from Intergalactic and Venus, I can’t really mention Venus by Lady Gaga ans not mention Birth Of Venus Jelly Face Mask.

This Jelly Face Mask contains Kaolim, Glycerine, Sea Water, Lavender Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil, Olibanum Oil, Myrrh Resinoid, Carrageenan  Extract and Rose Petal Infusion.

Jelly Face Masks used to be a very big thing at Lush back in the day and Lush have decided to bring one back as part of their Retro Wall. This Jelly Face Mask contains Rose and Lavender which will help to calm and soothe irritated skin. The Myrrh and Olibanum add a slightly woody aquatic scent alongside the floral notes of Rose and Lavender. One sniff of this and you will feel like you’ve been transported to a tropical oasis.

Tank Battle Perfume

I can’t explain this one at all but the smell of Tank Battle just kind of screams Lady Gaga a bit to me and honestly I think if you wear Tank Battle you may have people screaming the talented, amazing, brilliant meme at you.

Tank Battle contains  Labdanum Resinoid, Patchouli Oil, Clove Bud Oil. These combine to create a truly unique scent. Lush do describe the scent of Tank Battle being a mix of bubblegum and the smell of rain and I think that kind of sums up Lady Gaga as a vibe a bit… the mix of bright sweet bubblegum mixed with the deep earthy smell of petrichor that has elements of smoky Patchouli to it. Bright mixed with dark to create a beautiful creation. If you haven’t smelt Tank Battle from lush then I urge you to and let me know if you get the same sort of vibe from the fragrance.

Beauty Sleep

Gaga definitely needs something to help after being on a heavy journey of buses, no sleep, plane, another bus and so forth…

Beauty Sleep contains Lemon verbena and Valeroan Rott extracted in Honey, Kaolin, Mullein Leaf and Linseed Decoction, Ground Organic Aduki Beans, Organic Orange Blossom Honey Water, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Orange Flower Absolute, Neroli Oil, Myrrh Resinoid, Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute, Organic Jojoba Oil, Orgajic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fresh Coconut, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil, Evening Primrose Seeds, Wheatgerm oil, Fresh Lemon Juice, Fresh Pineapple Juice, Fresh Orange Juice and Organic Cold Pressed Grapeseed Oil.

There is a lot of ingredients to discuss here however Beauty Sleep contains a lot of ingredients due to it honestly making skin beautiful but also because each pot contains at least a spoonful of Lush’s iconic Gorgeous Moisturiser.

I think that Gaga would adore this Face and Body Mask because she could whack it on whilst on a bus or a plane but due to its intensive moisturising properties alongside the soothing properties that lie within this face mask due to ingredients such as Lavender which will help to feel a little bit more peaceful even if she is having to go from bus to place then to clubs and then do it all over again.   If you’re looking for a product that will help to nourish your skin but to also help you feel soothed and calm after a week of stress then I do recommend checking Beauty Sleep out.

Candy Rain

We all need a good moisturiser for our hair after the rain has fallen on us.

Honestly most of the times that I have checked that Candy Rain has been at a store when I’ve gone in I’ve sang Rain On Me alongside checking out the product far too many times. More than I would like to admit. I thought that I would also include this product because with all the looks that Gaga stuns us with I’m sure her hair would love some nourishment via Candy Rain.

Candy Rain contains Cashew Cream, Brazil Nut Milk, Coconut Cream, Macadamia Nut Milk, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Brazil Nut Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Rain Water, Buchu Oil, Tonka Absolute, Cocoa Absolute and Almond Essential Oil.

This is going to sound slightly bizarre but have you ever smelt or had a Drumstick lollipop? The creamy side of the lollipop is exactly what Candy Rain smells like to me. Creamy which  touch of fruitiness coming from the Buchu which gives off a slightly berry hint to the fragrance. If you have smelt Mrs. whippy from Lush before then Candy Rain shares the same scent as that.

As this product contains a plethora of nut based milks and creams which help to truly nourish the skin no matter how damaged it is. I think that this is an amazing fit for Gaga due to forever having hair styled and changed for events and shows and so forth. If your hair is on the damaged side and you’re looking for something that will deeply nourish your hair then I urge you to check out Candy Rain and let me know what you think of it if you do!

Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds Bubble Bar.

This Bubble Bar contains Patchouli Oil, Frankincense Resinoid and Cinnamon Leaf Oil. These three oils blend together to create a truly spicy scent with a touch of sweetness in the background due to the Cinnamon.

Did you know that this Bubble Bar is inspired by frank Sinatra? Lush back in the day used to sell a Bath Oil called Ol’ Blue Skies and rereleased it as a shower gel as part of their Kitchen Subscription Box?

If you keep up with everything that Lady Gaga has done over the past few years then you’ll be aware with how much Frank Sinatra has influenced her and that she’s covered songs from him such as New York, New York so it seemed right to include this product. If you enjoy spicy scents then I definitely think that you should give this Bubble Bar a go!
