Lush Christmas 2022 Range - Body, Lip Care, Candles & Fragrances

 Hey everyone1

Welcome to a brand new blog post! With Christmas being around the corner, I thought that I would continue the Lush Christmas range blog posts. I may have left it late but late is better than never. I thought that today I would talk to you all about the rest of the range including body products, lip products and fragrances.

Body:

Fairy Dust Dusting Powder

It’s always good to sprinkle a little bit of Fairy Dust at this time of year. Fairy Dust is a staple at this time of year. If you are not familiar with Dusting Powders then imagine a bottle of powdered goodness that can be used to nourish the skin after a bath, used to help stop chafing or used to add a little bit of sparkle and an amazing scent to someone’s day. This dusting powder is scented with Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk and smells like Pear Drops mixed with Candy Floss. To me, I use these mainly to stop chafing when out and about and boy do they do the job! I’d suggest this for anyone who loves Snow Fairy as they may not know about the Dusting Powders from Lush or for anyone who is out and about a lot. Priced at £9 for a 70g bottle.

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner

Let’s not be dry this year. A product that has been on the Christmas shelves of Lush is back for another year. If you’re unsure on what a Body Conditioner is then imagine sort of a Body Butter that you apply and wash off in the Shower. I guess a final Shower step to ensure that you stay soft and supple all day long. I love this as it saves me time when I am in a rush in the morning. Scented with the Snow Fairy scent which consists of Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk to create a sort of sugar Candy Floss like scent. If you know someone who loves Lush but doesnt have a bath tub then this may be a good gift for them. Priced at £10 for a 100g tub.

A photo of a big pink puddle of thick buttery body conditioner on a bright background

Snow Fairy Body Lotion

Snow Fairies have to be soft and supple too! Who doesnt love a good body lotion when it comes to having a full on pamper session? I have quite dry skin so I am partial to a Body Lotion or a Massage Bar. This is a brand new product for 2022 but I am quite surprised that it hasn’t been brought out before. Scented with the Snow Fairy scent which consists of Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk. I quite love this product and I love the slight glimmer of shimmer that is in this body lotion too. If you know anyone who loves Snow Fairy including yourself then I’d recommend trying this product out although for me it did take a bit of a while to sink in which I know may be a problem for some. Priced at £10 for a 100g tub.

A pro of a bright pink puddle of thin body lotion with silver lustre running throughout it on a bright background

Candles:

Snow Fairy Candle

Who doesnt love a good candle? People have been demanding Lush to create Candles for years and now they have listened. This Candle contains Castor, Coconut and Rapeseed Waxes and Coconut Oil with the addition of Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk to create Lush’s iconic Snow Fairy scent. I love that Lush have created candles but my personal problem with this candle is that it could be stronger in terms of scent throw/pay off but that’s just me. I know that candles are a favourite gift for most when it comes to Christmas so this could be a perfect gift for a significant other/friend who is a bit indecisive when it comes to choosing a gift like myself. Priced at £12.

A picture of a wide cylindrical glasss jar containing a pink cylindrical candle with one white wick with snow fairy lush in white font on a bright background

Snow Fairy 4 Wick Candle

The bigger the candle, the bigger the burn? Just like the above candle but bigger and with more wicks so this one will be short. This is massive and would make for an amazing gift for a friend who loves Snow Fairy or is forever buying candles because they would look pretty somewhere in the house. This candle is also giving very much Jo Malone/Aldi Hurricane Candle vibes. Priced at £36.

A wide photo of a large cylindrical pink candle with four white wicks in it in a glass jar with snow fairy in white font on a bright background

Lip Care:

Coconut Iice Lip Scrub

Brrrr. This lip scrub is new for 2022. This scrub contains Caster Sugar, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Jojoba and Extra Virgin Coconut Oils, Coconut Milk Powder, Fir Balsam Resinoid and Vanilla Absolute. Not only does this scrub without stripping the moisture due to the addition of the Coconut Milk Powder but this lip scrub to me smells like Milkybar White Chocolate. Weird, I know. I quite like it due to this as I was expecting it to pretty much taste a little bit like Furze but to get creamy white chocolate was a pleasant surprise. Priced at £6.50.

A close up photo of a cylindrical glass jar filled with white silver and red lip scrub with a black circular lid and a black rectangular label that says coconut ice lip scrub lush in white font on a bright background

Cinnamon Stick Lip Oil

Who doesnt like a thick Cinnamon Stick? Winter can make our lips dry. To stop this, Lush have create a light yet nourishing Lip Oil. This Lip Oil contains Organic Castor, Linseed and Jojoba Oils, Sunflower and Candelilla Waxes, Cinnamon Leaf, Brazilian Orange and Patchouli Oils. To me, the taste of me reminds me of a sweeter Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar or a very warming sort of sweet yet spiced hot drink. The Oil is light and nourishing and not greasy which I adore. Definitely one to stock up and use during the festive season. If you like spicy scents like myself then you will definitely enjoy this Priced at £5.

Salted Caramel Lip Scrub

Let’s spread that Salted Caramel all over our lips and lick it off. When I heard this was dropping this year, I was intrigued because well I love salty and sweet things. This Lip Scrub contains Caster Sugar and Golden Caster Sugar, Organic Jojoba and Argan Oils, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Extra Fine Sea Salt, Sandalwood Oil, Carob Resinoid, Benzoin Resinoid and Cocoa Powder. Anyone that knows me knows that I complain that most Salted Caramel products doen’t have enough Salt in but with this product I can actually taste and feel the Salt. Is it Salted Caramel to me? Not really. Does it remind me more of Sticky Toffee? Yes which I think comes mainly from the Carob Resinoid. This product also does share the same scent as Sticky Dates Shower Gel and to me that screams Sticky Toffee to me. Priced at £6.50.

A glass jar filled with golden brown lip scrub with a black rectangular label that says salted caramel lip scrub lush in white font with a black circular lid on a bright background

Snow Fairy Lip Jelly

Spread that Jelly real smooth! A new product for 2022. To me, when I first heard about this product I was a bit confused on what a Lip Jelly is. After trying it, a Lip Jelly is pretty much a sort of more glossy version of a Lip Balm. This Lip Jelly contains Organic Castor Oil, Glycerine, Berry Was, Persian Lime Oil, Cold Pressed Raspberry Seed Oil and Raspberry Juice. This to me still tastes and smells like Snow Fairy even if it doesn’t have the Synthetic Musk in it. I wasn’t sure about the texture when I first tried it but now I adore it. I also love that it leaves the lips with a slight pink tint and I can just apply it on the go for when I want a bit of nourishment, colour and a pick me up in regards to my gender expression. Priced at £8.

A close ip of a circular pool of whipped up thick pink jelly wgloss on a bright background

Fragrances:

Fun Times Body Spray

Let the fun times begin! I love a good Body Spray. Beautifully scented and easy to take on the go. This new Body Spray contains Brazilian Orange and Sicilian Red Mandarin Oils to create a vibrant and uplifting Orange scent. I think that this Body Spray is meant to emulate the Satsuma that some of us receive at the bottom of our stockings. To me, this reminds me more of Calacas/Zesty but with Orange rather than pure Orange which I still love but when there is more than one type of Orange in a product I was expecting it to be pure Orange. The creaminess that comes across in this Body Spray took me a while to get used to but now that I am used to it I love it and have been using it off and on all festive season long. Priced at £25.

A big black spray bottle filled with orange liquid with a black domed label that says fun times body spray 200g Lush in white font on a bright background

Snow Fairy Body Spray

Spritz, spritz. This is definitely the Body Spray that would cause an uproar if it was discontinued. This body spray has become associated with Lush Christmas for a fair few years now.  This Body Spray contains Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk which creates a scent that reminds me of a mixture of memories with friends, pear drops and bubblegum. I actually need to see how much of this spray that I have left in case I need to stock up on it as I do like to use it now and again. I do also have friends that are obsessed with this Body Spray and has to buy it every year no matter what. Priced at £25.

Turmeric Latte Perfume

Baby, it’s cold outside so lets warm up with a terrific Turmeric Latte! Okay so I may be a bit bias but I adore this fragrance. I love all of the Turmeric Latte products that Lush has created. I still have some of the Shower Gel and Body Spray left which I use very sparingly. This perfume contains Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute and Vanilla Absolute. With the Tonka and Vanilla, you would expect it to be sickly sweet but it is not. This perfume to me is the combination of all things baked mixed with smoke. I love it. It’s not too smoky. It’s not too sweet. To me, its the scent id expect to smell when the protagonist of a Christmas movie (maybe the main man in the new Falling In Christmas) wears on a date night., Rich, smoky, complex and all round amazing. I was kindly gifted the 30ml bottle of this by the wonderful Betty at Lush White Rose as I was going on about it and how I was surprised that it is the only perfume and not body spray that has been released for this range. I may do a full review of this perfume when I have the time but that may not be until 2023 so I am not sure if there is much point in doing so. Priced at £30 for a 30ml bottle.

That’s all folks for the Lush Christmas 2022 range. Have you tried any of the products?

Lush Christmas 2022 Range - Bath & Shower

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. Lush released their Christmas 2022 range so I thought that I would talk to you all about it today. Due to the range being quite big, I have decided to break it up into several blog posts.

Bath:

Butterbear

If you go down to the woods tonight, you sure to see a big surprise! Who doesn’t love a Butterbear? If you have been a Lushie for a fair few years now then you will know of the well-known Butterbear that comes to Lush stores every holiday season. This bath bomb contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Ylang Ylang Oil. The cocoa butter helps to nourish the skin which is always needed at this time of year for myself as my skin becomes severely dry due to the cold weather and the Ylang Ylang creates a sort of deep Vanilla scent. I love the concept of this bomb as it means that I get to watch the bear slowly dissolve into my bath which I sometimes need after a long day in the cold weather. I also think that this would be a great bomb for children to use during the build up to Christmas or to give as a part of a Secret Santa gift. Priced at £3.

A small white bear shaped bath bomb on a bright background

Crystal Snow

It’s about to get snowy up in here. This bath bomb contains Coarse Sea Salt, Peppermint and Brazilian Orange Oils and Vanilla Absolute. This bath bomb shares the same scent as Abombinaball which is an old classic from Lush. I love this scent as it is creamy but not overpowering. The mint adds a freshness to this bomb. I think that this would be perfect to use first thing in a morning. My only problem with this bomb is that the salt falls off the bomb very easily which meant when I was taking it out of the bag to put into the bath, the salt went everywhere! Priced at £4.50.

A white spherical bath bomb with blue on the inside and blue salt on top on a bright background

Gift Horse

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth! Not only does this bath bomb look cute but smells it too. This bath bomb contains Sicilian Red Mandarin, Bergamot and Sicilian Lemon Oils and Orange Flower Absolute. This beautiful horse shares their scent with The Olive Branch. I’m not the biggest fan of The Olive Branch scent but I really enjoy it in this bomb. It’s more citrus than floral. I think that this would make an amazing gift in a sort of Christmas style gift box that has become all of the rage in the past couple of years. Priced at £4.50.

A orange, pink and yellow horse shaped bath bomb on a bright background

Golden Pudding

I want a Golden Pudding for Christmas! This bath bomb looks the part and would make for an amazing Christmas Eve style Bath Bomb. This bomb contains Sweet Wild Orange and Lime Oils and Coarse Sea Salt. If you have shopped at Lush before and have sniffed this bomb already then you may recognise the scent as this bomb shares it’s scent with the Celebrate/Bubbly/Golden Wonder scent family that has been at Lush before. I love the scent but compared to previous years this scent seems to be a little bit muted.I do think that this bomb would be amazing to give as a gift due to the size of it. Priced at £8.

A wide oval golden bath bomb with some white and holly leaf indentations on the top on a bright background coated with gold glitter

Magical Santa

Santa is always magical! Who doesn’t love a bath bomb that is shaped like Santa? It definitely has gotten me into the festive mood when I have sniffed it. This bomb contains Sicilian Lemon, Rosewood and Lemon Myrtle Oils and Raspberry Powder. To me, the Lemon is centre stage but at the same time there isn a sort of fruity creaminess which made me sniff the bomb more as I was trying to figure out what was causing it. To me, it reminded me of a mixture of Rainbow and Lemon Crumble Bubble Bars from Lush. Priced at £5.

A faint red and white Santa shaped bath bomb on a bright background

Moon Bath

Time to say goodbye to your friends and get a bath. Just like Tisty Tosty, this bomb is inspired by the Moon. This bath bomb contains Lemongrass, Sicilian Lemon and Persian Lime Oils and Popping Candy. This bomb shares it scent with the Ghostie bath bomb that is available through Lush’s Halloween range. I love this bomb. Not only does it create amazing bath art but also smells divine. Sharp and citrus without being too cloying or like toilet cleaner. I also love Popping Candy in anything although I know that it is a love or loathe situation with Popping Candy. This would make for an amazing gift for a friend or a Secret Santa. Priced at £5.50.

A spherical red bath bomb with yellow moon presents engraved into it on a bright background

Partridge In A Pear Tree

I was going to introduce this bomb with the song but it seemed a little bit too on the nose. This bomb looks amazing due to its glitter coating and the ornate design that coats the bomb. This bomb contains Bergamot, Brazilian Orange, Prickly Pear and Neroli Oils and Rose and Orange Flower Absolutes. This bomb smells very similar to the old So White range but with a bit of a sweet twang to it. I quite like this scent as it is light and fresh but its not my favourite scent personally. I think that this scent works better in the Spring rather than Christmas. Priced at £6.

Shoot For The Stars

Even at the end of the year, its always good to try and shoot for the stars! I love this bath bomb and have used it for years when it has come out at Christmas. This bomb contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Brazilian Orange Oil and Bergamot Oil. This bomb shares it scent with the Honey I Washed The Kids scent family at Lush which to me smells of toffee that has been stored next to a fruit bowl full of Oranges. Sweet with the tiniest whisper of Citrus. I absolutely adore the scent. The bath art is amazing and the cocoa butter stars are nourishing to the skin. If you have never tried this bomb then I urge you to. Priced at £5.50.

Sleepy Bear

We all need a bear to cuddle us to help us get to sleep. This bath bomb doesn’t only look the part by being a sleeping bear with a chunk of Lavender in the middle of them but also smells the part. This bomb contains Lavender and Ylang Ylang Oils, Tonka Absolute and Benzoin Resinoid with the addition of Fine Oatmeal, Lavender Flowers and Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, To me, this is a sort of cousin to the Butterbear. I think that again like Butterbear, this would be amazing to use on Christmas Eve or to put into a gift box for someone. I normally have one of these stored away every year as they seem to help my anxiety ridden self relax and sleep sometimes alongside the CBD range from Lush that helps with that too. Priced at £3.50.

A white bear shaped bath bomb with a piece of purple lavender in the middle of it on a bright background

Snow Dragon

We all need a Dragon to help warm us at this time of year. Lush know how to create cute and creative animal inspired bath bombs such as Butterbear and Sleepy Bear and this Dragon is no different! This bomb contains Coarse Sea Salt, Popping Candy, Lemon Myrtle, Grapefruit and Ylang Ylang Oils. If I am right then this bomb shares it scent with the Christmas limited Baked Alaska Soap and Mermaid Tail Bubble Bar. I love this Baked Alaska scent. Its creamy and citrusy without being bland and boring unlike some of the other creamy citrus scents that I have smelt in the past. I also love this as it was one of the first soaps that I ever bought from Lush. I think that again like the Bears, this would be perfect as a gift for a child or anyone who has a childlike spirit to them. Priced at £3.50.

A white and silver dragon shaped bath bomb on a bright background

Snow Drift

Who wouldn’t want to drift in a snowy bath? Some of you may know this bomb as Snowball from last year but now this bomb is known as Snow Drift and has a bit of a glow up. I love this design compared to the Snowball Bomb from last year which kind of reminded me of a cross between a Snowball and a Breast depending on which bomb that you got. I also get that they can’t replicate the making every Snowball by hand again which is completely understandable. This bath bomb contains Eucalyptus, Lemongrass and Peppermint Oils to create a lovely herbal scent that has a bit of a bright twang to it, If you are a fan of Lush then this bomb shares it scent with the Outback Mate Soap that ia available all year round at Lush. I love this bomb and normally stash the soap or bomb until I am a bit poorly which seems to be most of the time at the minute as the Peppermint and Eucalyptus helps my sinuses. Definitely worth a try especially during the Christmas/Festive Party season. Priced at £5.50.

A spherical swirled light blue and white bath bomb on a bright background

Snow Fairy

This bomb doesn’t need an introduction. Anyone who is familiar with Lush at Christmas will know of this scent. If you have never tried it then imagine a vivid bright pink scent that smells of a mixture of Candy Floss and Pear Drops. This bath bomb contains Synthetic Musk and Persian Lime Oil. I think that most will agree when I say that it isn’t Christmas until you see Snow Fairy appear at your local Lush. I love this bomb. I have to be in the right mood to enjoy Snow Fairy but when I do, I want every product possible within the SF range. This bomb will definitely sparkle up anyone’s day. Priced at £5.50.

A pink and white spherical bath bomb with a blue glitter snowflake engraved into it on a bright background

Snow Fairy Lights

Is it really Christmas without the lights? This bomb is an amazing gift for anyone who loves Snow Fairy. My friend Michelle loves Snow Fairy quite a bit and I think that they would love this bomb as a gift. This bomb is like the Snow Fairy bomb but is shaped as a star and can be used between 3 different baths or one very extravagant bath.. The topper/smaller bomb can be used as a bath bomb of its own, the bigger star can be used as a bomb of its own and the bath confetti in the middle of this bomb can be sprinkled into the bath for a superb bath of its own. Would you be the one to use it all as one bomb or as three separate bombs? Let me know. Priced at £8.

A pink star shaped bath bomb filled with small spherical pink and yellow balls with a white little star on top on a bright background

Snowman Finger Puppet

Everybody loves Puppets! Is this bomb cute or creepy? Who knows but it is striking and unique. (I think its a bit creepy personally, that’s not a bad thing but still…) This bath bomb contains Peppermint and Almond Essential Oils and Labdanum Resinoid. To me, the Almond comes out the most in the bomb so personally if you’re not the biggest fan of Almond then you may not enjoy this bomb that much. I think that this is a cute or a creepy gift to give children to enjoy and could get them into enjoying baths before the New Year is upon us. Priced at £2.50.

A domed snowman shaped bath bomb in white with black and orange accents on a bright background

Sweet Pudding

A bath bomb made for those with a sweet tooth. Who doesn’t love a good Pudding inspired bath bomb at Christmas? We’ve had bombs such as Luxury Lush Pud in previous years that emulate this concept and this year it’s Sweet Pudding’s time to shine! This bomb contains Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute and Almond Essential Oil. To me, the Tonka and Benzoin come out the most to give a sort of deep yet very sweet Vanilla/Birthday Cake scent to it. If you like very sweet scents then you will like this bomb. This bomb also shares it scent with the Mr. Loba Loba bomb from the Valentrines Day 2022 range fiom Lush. Its not my favourite scent but I do have one stocked away for those days that I am wanting something simple and soothing to use. Priced at £4.50.

A spherical pink bath bomb with a white top and green and red accents on a bright background

Bubble Bars

Candy Cane

Four for you Glen Coco! Who doesn’t love a good  Candy Cane? This bubble bar has been out for many years but has had a bit of a revamp for 2022. This bath bomb contains Sicilian Lemon, Bergamot and Peppermint Oils. To me in previous years, this bubble bar has smelt more like Snow Fairy than Candy Cane but this year I can smell the Peppermint a little bit more which I really love. I think that this would make an amazing gift for someone who just wants something relaxing but isn’t a big fan of Lavender. Priced at £5.

A red and white striped candy cane shaped bubble bar on a bright background

Cinnamon Roll Bubble Roll

Gimme all of the Cinnamon Rolls! I may be a little bit bias but I love anything Cinnamon so being able to enjoy something Cinnamon heavy in the bath is a dream come true for me. Luckily I grabbed a couple of this in the well-known Boxing Day sale last year so I could enjoy it throughout the year when I needed something warming and comforting. This bubble bar contains Cinnamon Leaf, Clove Leaf, Lime, Brazilian Orange and Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oils with the addition of Cinnamon and Clove Powders. I know that some may say that this is Hot Toddy scented but to me this has more of an emphasis on the Cinnamon and Patchouli whereas to me the Patchouli in Hot Toddy is more of a subtle ingredient. You know, to help the other ingredients sing. I would definitely recommend getting one of these especially in the cold weather that we are having at the moment. Priced at £6.50.

A squared off rectangular rolled brown-red and white bubble bar on a bright background

Golden Angel

Let this Golden Angel shower you in Love this holiday season. Glitter is like Marmite, its a love or loathe sort of situation and if you love it then you will love this bubble bar. I love anything glitter heavy so when I saw this bubble bar I knew that I had to have it. My only problem with this bubble bar is that I got it home and it was already broken into half without my knowledge which was a bit annoying. Priced at £6.

An angel shaped bubble bar with wings coated in gold glitter overlay on a bright background

Party Popper

Come on, twist that bottle! I wanna hear that cork go pop! I mean is it a festive holiday party without something going pop? This bubble bar looks small but oh it packs a punch. This bubble bar contains Popping Candy, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Ho Wood, Brazilian Orange and Lime Oils. If you have tried the Golden Pudding Bath Bomb this year then you may recognise this scent as they both share the same scent. I love this bubble bar. As I’ve stated it is small but the scent is phenomenal and a little goes a long way. Priced at £6.

A yellow and orange striped cone shaped bubble bar with orange popping candy in the bottom of it on a bright background

Snow Fairy Wand Bubble Blower

Who doesn’t love to blow.. a big long bubble? Some of you may remember this bubble bar as the Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Wand but it is back after a good long break with a bit off a revamp. Now you can blow through it. If you want a Snow Fairy product that children will use then this is definitely the product for you. This product contains Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk. I like the concept of it but I notice that with the other bubble blowers that it takes a long while and a lot of dexterity to get a bubble to form through the hole of these so they’re not my favourite product but I can get why they would be the perfect product for anyone with a sense of whimsy. Priced at £7.50.

Snow Fairy Bubble Roll

Crumble this and create a bath fit for the most fabulous fairy in the world. I love a good bubble roll as you can crumble as much as you want and watch the bubbles form before your eyes. In this case, the bubbles are as pink as candy floss. I love this product and have used it recently just before going out to buy some Christmas presents to get me into the festive mood and it definitely did the job.. This roll like all of the other Snow Fairy products contain Synthetic Musk and Persian Lime Oil. Priced at £6.50.

A oval shaped pink and white rolled and swirled bubble roll on a bright background

Big Snow Fairy Bubble Roll

I’m not a size queen but sometimes big is better. I will keep this one short, sweet and snowy. This is the bubble roll but bigger. Whereas the normal bubble roll is £6.50 for 200g, This bubble roll is £20 for a kilogram which makes it perfect for those who love Snow Fairy but want to save a bit of money during the cost of living crisis. This is definitely the perfect gift for anyone who loves Snow Fairy. Priced at £20.

Other Bath Products

Snow Fairy FUN

Who doesn’t love a bit of FUN during the holidays? FUN can be used as a multitude of products. Shampoo, Bubble Bar, Soap. The possibilities are endless. This is a brand new product for 2022 but if you or anyone that you know of loves Snow Fairy then I would recommend this. I have actually travelled with FUN and it is the perfect product as it saves space and I can sometimes find it in one of my favourite scents even if it means going to the Liverpool Spa Anchor Store. This product contains Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk. If you haven’t tried FUN from Lush then I urge you to! Priced at £9.50.

A collection of pink stars and white blobs on a bright background

Snow Fairy Lush Melt

Let the Snow Fairy melt! This is a brand new product for Lush this year. This product can be used as a bath melt by snapping off a piece and letting it melt into the bath water or can be used as a wax melt by popping into a burner and letting it fill the room with the lovely scent of Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk. I like this concept but personally it seems to work a little bit better for me in the wax burner but I am glad that Lush are brining back Bath Oils in one form or another. (Please bring back Polyamorous in this new format Lush!) I would definitely get if you used to love the bath oils from Lush or want a new way to fill your room with the lovely scent of Snow Fairy. Priced at £6.50.

Shower:

Bouncing Santa Shower Jelly

Bounce, Santa! Bounce! This shower jelly is a completely new scent for 2022. I love Shower Jellies as I can use them whenever, wherever and can be transported a little bit easier sometimes compared to the gels. I also love the texture of the jellies and they last forever! This Shower Jelly contains Fresh Cantaloupe Melon Infusion, Litsea Cubeba, Brazilian Orange and Watermelon Seed Oils, Benzoin Resinoid and Lime Juice. If you love a good sort of candied Watermelon scent then you will love this but for me, its just a bit too much. I just wish that it was a little bit more sharp than sweet but that is my own preference. I think that this would make a perfect Secret Santa gift especially as this Shower Jelly is shaped as a Santa. Priced at £6.

A green red and white Santa shaped shower jelly in a clear cylindrical tub with a black label that says bouncing Santa shower jelly lush in white font on a bright background

Elf Shake Shower Gel

Now let me see your Elf shake! Lush are brining out all of the new scents this year it seems. This gel is a new scent for 2022. This gel contains Fresh Mint Infusion, Sweet Wild Orange and Ylang Ylang Oils, Fresh Apple, Grape, Kiwi and Lime Juices. To me, this smells like the bubble gum that you get at the bottom of a Screwball Ice Cream from the Ice Cream Van. Sweet, creamy and fruity. I absolutely love this scent. It is definitely one to use to uplift yourself on a cold Winters morning. Priced at £7 for a 100g bottle.

A big circular pool of bright green shower gel on a bright background

Hot Toddy Shower Gel

Let the Hot Toddy warm you up! This was one of the first Shower Gels that I ever bought from Lush so I love it quite a bit. Spicy but not too spicy and just comforting enough to help you not feel like rubbish on a cold Winters day. This gel contains Fresh Ginger Root Infusion, Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Fresh Lime Juice, Fine Sea Salt, Cinnamon Leaf, Clove Leaf, Lime, Brazilian Orange and Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oils and Benzoin Resinoid., It is definitely Winter Spice in a bottle and if you haven’t tried it then I urge you to! Priced at £8 for a 100g bottle.

A circular pool of bright red shower gel with silver lustre in it on a bright background

Jolly Holly Shower Bomb

Let’s have a Holly Jolly Christmas in the Shower! This Shower Bomb contains Pineapple Powder, Ho Wood and Lemongrass Oils. I loved the sound of this product on paper but to me, the Ho Wood is the centre of this scent profile and I wished that it was the Lemongrass or the Pineapple as I love Pineapple and Lemongrass! This product also has a Ginger undernote to me which confused me as I wasn’t expecting it. These do say one use but I shove the rest of the bomb that I don’t use into a tub to use at a later date. I would definitely suggesting smelling this one if you can. Priced at £ 3.50.

A triangular green white and red shower bomb with a red holily in the middle on a bright background

Snow Fairy Delight Body Wash

Lets get down and sticky. This is a new concept for Lush for Christmas 2022. Imagine a travel friendly wash that doesnt require packaging that smells of Snow Fairy. To me, the Body Wash concept reminds me of Marshmallow more than Body Wash that can be taken on the go but that’s just me. I did use this recently and really liked it., My only problem was that it required a vessel to dry in so it was good that I had an empty tub on hand to put the product into. This body wash contains Persian Lime Oil, Synthetic Musk, Xantham Gum, Agar Agar Gel, Rose Water and Cornstarch. I would definitely recommend trying this and it would be a perfect gift for those that are on the go a lot. Priced at £3.40 for 40g.

A bright pink trapezoid shaped piece of solid body wash that looks like marshmallow on a bright background

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Snow Fairy Gel doesn’t really need an introduction. This pink beautiful bottle contains the washing dreams of many. Scented with Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk. This gel is the epitome of Christmas for some and I get why. I can’t use a lot but I do like to have at least a bottle stashed as I do go through phases of wanting it all of the time for a while then not at all for a bit. Betty at Lush White Rose was telling me that they wash their dog in Snow Fairy which was quite intrigued by. Priced at £6 for a 100g bottle.

Yog Nog Delight Body Wash

To paraphrase Homer Simpson we only get 30 sweet soggy days and then Lush takes it away again. I love Yog Nog to the point that I have the Gel, Body Lotion, Bubble Bar, Body Conditioner, Soap and Body Spray. This product contains Granulated Sugar, Maple Syrup Water, Aquafaba Powder, Almond Oil, Clove Bud and Ylang Ylang Oils. To me, this smells mainly creamy with a spicy kick. Just like Egg Nog. Some have said that it smells like Butter to them but I disagree. I would definitely recommend getting some to try if you’ve not tried the Body Wash Delights or the Yog Nog scent before. Priced at £3.40 for 40g.

Soaps

Baked Alaska

Let’s wash our hands with something that’s baked! This soap has been a staple at Lush during the festive season and is actually one of the first Soaps that I bought from Lush so it has a special place in my heart. This soap contains Rapeseed and Coconut Oils, Popping Candy, Glycerine, Soya Milk, Lemon Myrtle, Ylang Ylang and Grapefruit Oils. To me, this soap has a creamy yet citrus heavy scent to it. I guess in a way it reminds me of a sharp citrus ice cream that dreams are made of. My only qualm with this soap is the Popping Candy. Something that has been introduced to the design of this soap after I first bought this. The Popping Candy never stays on the soap and in turn kind of reminds me of dandruff a bit. If you’re looking for a simple gift for those who love citrus then I would definitely recommend this soap. Priced at £5.50 per piece.

Christmas Cranberry

Who doesn’t love a good plump and juicy Cranberry at this time of year? A new soap for 2022. This soap contains Marshmallow Root Mucilage, Rapeseed, Rice Bran and Coconut Oils, Sweet Wild Orange Oil and Fresh Cranberries. I love the concept of this soap especially as Cranberry and Orange is a well loved festive pairing. Sadly, the pairing doesn’t really come through in this product. It’s more Orange scented with an appearance from some Cranberries which is a bit of a shame. Priced at £6 for a 100g slice.

Christmas Party

Let’s get this party started right now! A new soap for 2022. This soap contains Rapessed and Coconut Oils, Golden Linseed Decoction, Juniperberry Oil, Myrrh Resinoid and Ylang Ylang Oil. Apparently some say that this is the old Miranda soap but I don’t remember it so I can’t really say if it is or not. I wasn’t fully sold on this. I don’t know if I was detecting the Golden Linseed the most but I just wasn’t sold on it. I love Myrrh and Juniperberry so its a bit shocking that I wasn’t sold on it but hey ho. Priced at £5.50.

Golden Pear

Let’s bite into a juicy golden pear. I don’t know whether to include this or not due to it being only an anchor store/online exclusive but I have smelt and used it before so why not. I love this product and still have two stashed away somewhere along with the Body Spray. To me, it gives off sort of a spicier version of Snow Fairy to me. That Pear Drop scent with a spicy twist. This soap contains Rapessed and Coconut Oils, Marshmallow Root Mucilage, Pear Puree, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Cardamom Oil and Brazilian Orange Oil. I still have the Gong Shower Jelly (scented in Golden Pear) which is an anchor store exclusive and oh my god these paired together first thing in the morning alongside the spray set me up for an uplifting mood no matter what. Priced at £9 for a 150g soap.

Golden Wonder

It’s a wonder! This soap not only looks the part due to it being designed to look like the top of a golden present fit for someone special this Christmas but also smells amazing due to it’s citrus yet slightly boozy scent. This soap shares it scent with the Golden Pudding Bath Bomb that is available to purchase from Lush this year. This soap contains Rapessed and Coconut Oils, Sweet Wild Orange and Lime Oils. I do wish that the scent of this was a little bit more powerful as it becomes muted to me when lathered up but otherwise it is definitely a great soap that I think should be showed off just so that anyone that uses it can react in the same way that I did when I first saw this soap. Priced at £5.

Snow Bear

Even bears need to wash their paws sometimes. This soap looks cute and would go great in a makeshift gift set with Snow Dragon and both of the Bear Bath Bombs. This soap contains Oat Milk, Rapeseed and Coconut Oils, Soya Yoghurt, Tonka, Vanilla and Mimosa Absolutes and Benxoin Resinoid. To me, this smells similar to Snowcake but has a little bit more of a creaminess to it. I love this soap as a makeshift replacement to Snowcake Soap which I wish was back out especially as Luke loves it and would be a great gift for children as I am sure it would encourage them to wash their hands. Priced at £5.50.

Snow Fairy

A Soap fit for a Fainy. Snow Fairy has made its way into the Soap department at Lush this year. This soap contains Persian Lime Oil and Synthetic Musk which creates a sweet bubblegum like scent. I love this Soap as it is quite moisturising and looks amazing on a soap dish. Definitely the soap for anyone who looks forward to Snow Fairy coming back at this time of year. Priced at £5.50.

Thanks to the staff at Lush White Rose who as always were amazing and helped me and Luke look at all of the products (Betty, Sandra & Katrina) especially as we were both recovering from illnesses.

The Best Way To Relax Is To Be Lazy In The Tub | Lush X Lazy Oaf First Impressions

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I went to Lush White Rose recently to check out the new Lush X Lazy Oaf collaboration range and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

Lush have decided to collaborate with the well known London based brand Lazy Oaf who are known for creating clothing with creative yet iconic prints and many other products. This collaboration has been inspired by London laundrettes bc just like the iconic one that is featured in the BBC soap ‘EastEnders’. All of the collaborative range albeit one product are either scented in Lush’s well known Intergalactic or Sleepy range.

 Happy Face Bath Bomb

The first product that is featured within the range is the Happy Face bath bomb which is a white bomb that sports a smiley face on it. This bomb is scented in the Intergalactic range. Intergalactic contains Peppermint, Grapefruit, Cedarwood and Vetivert Oils. To me, this creates an uplifting Mint and Citrus scent with a slightly smoky backnote to it which keeps you guessing and on your toes. I adore the Intergalactic range and think that at this time of year that it could make for a great gift for someone who is working a lot this festive period or for someone who may be suffering with Seasonal Affective Disorder as the Mint and Citrus may help them with the early dark nights that are kicking in at the moment. Priced at £7.

Sad Face Bath Bomb

Sometimes our faces are happy and sometimes our faces are sad and that is completely fine! This bath bomb has a sad face on it hence the name and contains Lavender and Ylang Ylang Oils, Tonka Absolute and Benzoin Resinoid. I don’t mind the Sleepy/Twilight range but it depends on my mood and such. I completely get the correlation between sad and sleepy so I get why it is scented in this scent family. Priced at £7.

Wash Buddy

Who doesn't love a good buddy when it comes to washing in the tub? This little bath buddy was designed to help you relax in the bath. This Bath Bomb is centralised around the Lazy Oaf logo. A true collaboration. This bomb is scented with Sleepy which contains Lavender and Tonka so when you need a buddy to help you relax after a long day then you can instantly turn to this cute creature and drop them into the tub. I'd definitely recommend giving this as a gift for someone or yourself after a long hard week. Priced at £5.

Bubbly Buddy

Lets create some bubbles and enjoy the fun together. This Bubble Buddy not only looks cute but creates some cool bubbles! This Bubble Bar emulates the Lazy Oaf logo through its design. This bar also is scented with the Sleepy scent from Lush. I think that Sleepy works best in a Bubble or Shower Gel format so I absolutely love the idea of this product. I also think that this would be amazing product for kids to use or when stuff is just getting a little bitt too much. Priced at £7.

Checked In Soap

When stuff has to be done,. Its best to be checked in. This Checked In Soap is not only punny through its checked flag design but also smells the part by being scented in the Intergalactic scent. Not only does Peppermint and Grapefruit Oils help to invigorate the mind and keep you checked into life but also looks amazing in your bathroom. I am kind of glad that Lush have decided to create a Intergalactic soap as the nearest soap that is out at Lush at the minute is Outback Mate which hits the spot in a different way to Intergalactic does for me. Priced at £7 for an 80g block.

Checked Out Soap

During the hustle and bustle of this time of the year, it’s completely fine to check out. Checked Out  Soap is scented with the Sleepy scent. I think that this would be great for having in the bathroom at night time at this time of year or to use. I can see it being the ultimate soap for small ones on Christmas Eve. Priced at £7 for a 80g block.

Intergalactic Showder

After a full cycle spin, its good to feel oh so clean! As mentioned at the beginning of this post, the collaboration is focused around London based laundrettes and a good part of laundrettes is the clothes being washed. This is why Lush have decided to bring back their showders which are inspired by laundry detergent for this collaboration with Lazy Oaf. Not only do these showders look the part on the outside with their vibrant yet quirky packaging but on the inside too through the texture of the product.

Some people may ask, what is showder? To summarise, Showder is pretty much just shower powder. If you have used Lush’s Shower Bombs then imagine them but crushed up with a bit of Salt running through it to help scrub the body in a box. Not only does this help to cleanse and nourish the body but also helps to scrub away dead skin cells through the addition of Fine Sea Salt. Add this to the mix of Peppermint, Grapefruit, Cedarwood and Vetivert and you have an amazing product that I’d definitely use first thing in the morning to help me get ready for the day ahead of me. I actually used something similar in the Intergalactic range when I caught COVID in late 2020 and even with only the faintest bit of smell that I had to my name, I could smell the intoxicating smell of Intergalactic which helped to stop me from feeling groggy,. I’d definitely recommend this for the morning after celebrating this festive season. Whether that be a Party, a night out with old friends or Christmas Day itself! Priced at £15 for 170g.

Sleepy Showder

Let’s scrub away the bad thoughts before bed! Sleepy Showder is just like the intergalactic Showder. Instead of my recommendation of using it the morning after partying, I’d definitely recommend to use Sleepy Showder the night before partying! This showder contains Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Tonka and Benzoin Resinoid. I know that I said that I don’t fully enjoy this scent but I quite like it in the Showder format. To me, the Lavender is slightly more herbal than powdery as I detect a sort of more grassy note of Lavender in this product which makes me enjoy it a bit more. I paired this with the tiniest bit of Beauty Sleep Face Mask that I got a while ago from the wonderful staff at Lush White Rose via asking for a sample of it and oh my god it was amazing. It instantly made me forget all about my anxiety that happened that day due to going out to get some shopping done. Priced at £15 for 170g.

Lush X Lazy Oaf Body Spray

Lazy has never smelt so good! Who doesn’t love a good Body Spray? This Body Spray was inspired by London Laundrettes and the character Dot Cotton from the BBC soap ‘EastEnders’. This Spray contains Tonka Absolute, Vetivert Oil, Tobacco Absolute, Champaca Absolute and Vanilla Absolute. Just from the ingredients alone, I was expecting this to smell very similar to Turmeric Latte through the use of Tonka and Vanilla yet to me it smells worlds apart. When I sprayed this in store, the first scent note I got was Champaca. A sort of resinous floral note. After this I got the smoky note of Tobacco and then the sweetness of the other ingredients. I mean each nose is different but if you are expecting a Vanilla heavy fragrance like Vanillary then you will be disappointed. To me, It reminds me of a mixture of Tobacco and the Ginger fragrance from Lush. An odd mixture I know but sort of fresh, floral and smoky. It is definitely worth going in store to give it a whiff but as I still have a bottle of Ginger perfume from Lush, I was a bit adamant on getting it straight there and then at White Rose as I wanted to see what it was like when it settled on the skin. To me, the Tobacco takes over the Champaca a bit and becomes a bit more of a intriguing scent that I couldn’t exactly pin point. Priced at £35 for a 200-g bottle.

So what do I think of the range overall? It’s different and quirky. I do wish that the Intergalactic was switched out for a different scent to fit the Happy side of this collaboration a little bit more. Even though the scent has already been out this year, I think that Party On would have fitted the bill a little bit more or even Whoosh. Ooh, a Whoosh Bath Bomb would be amazing! Do I get why they were both chosen though? Definitely as both scents are well known and well loved when it comes to Lush. I think that Lush and Lazy Oaf was a good collaboration as they are both quirky. Do I wish the prices were changed slightly? Definitely. I think that £35 is a bit expensive for a body spray with a brand new scent that some may have not smelt before but again with inflation it is completely understandable why the prices have gone up a bit. I think that if the Body Spray was available in a smaller size like it is in the gift sets for a smaller price to try then it would be amazing. I also hope that the inclusion of the Showders again after the concept being discontinued in 2016 in this range means that they will be coming back in the future in other scents as I kind of love them especially when I’m staying in hotels and they only come equipped with showers. Overall I give the Lush X Lszy Oaf range a 8.6/10.

Thanks to the lovely staff at Lush White Rose especially Betty and Sandra for being amazing to myself and Luke and for gifting us the Showders to try. If you can get to the Lush White Rose branch then I’d definitely recommend that you do.
