Lush Mothers Day 2022 First Impressions

 Hey ever)one!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. A while ago, I went to Lush to pick up their Mothers Day range and I thought that it was finally time to tell you all what I thought about the range.

A wide shot photo of a selection of light and brightly coloured spherical bath bombs, cylindrical clear bottles filled with orange liquid with mimosa on a back label and other products in light brown shelves and square light brown boxes on a light brown table on a bright background

Bath Bombs:

The Elephant In The Tea Room

This elephant is packing their trunk to say goodbye to the tub. Not only does this bomb look cute as it is the hybrid of an elephant and a tea pot. This bomb contains Bergamot and Lemon Myrtle Oils, Benzoin Resinoid, Powdered Gunpowder and Sencha Teas. Apparently this is a new scent called Tea and Biscuits at Lush which I get but to me that kind of sounds pretty vague. To me, this kind of gives me Earl Grey Tea vibes. If anyone remembers the Shades Of Earl Grey Massage Bar, imagine that but a little less creamy and a little bit more citrus based. This bomb to me is mainly citrus with a touch of sweetness that is coming from the Benzoin. The tea does come through but it doesn’t overwhelm which I was surprised at as when lush have used tea before it’s been the predominant scent in the product. I really like this but I think that this scent would do really well in the autumn as well as the spring whether as a limited or all year round product. Priced at £6.

A photo of some zoomed in elephant tea pot shaped bath bombs that are purple and pink in a large light brown square box on a large light brown table with a black card at the side of it saying the elephant in the tea room in white font on a bright background

Atom Heart Mother

I did talk about this product last year so I will keep this one short. This bomb shares the same scent as the old scent So White. Some do say that So White and Once Upon A Time are the same scent but to me OUAT has a little bit more of a floral sort of slightly biscuit based scent to it than a fruity scent that So White has. Apples are a big part of both Spring and Autumn to me so this product screams Spring to me due to its Apple based scent that is provided by Rose Absolute, Neroli, Orange Flower Absolute and Brazilian Orange Oil. I absolutely love this bomb.  Priced at £5.

Jasmine

This was our last year but in the form of a bubble bar, so this one will be kept quite short too. If you have been a Lush customer for a while then you may know the scent of this product by a different name. Christmas Eve/The Great Wave. This bomb contains Jasmine and Ylang Ylang which to me creates a sort of creamy yet very strong floral scent. Slightly like the scent of when you walk into a florist. This product also contains Rice Starch which gives a soothing property to the bath which I always adore due to having slightly dry skin. Priced at  £4.50

A zoomed in photo of some white flower square shaped bath bombs in a light brown square box on a light brown table with a black card that says jasmine in white font on a bright background

Rose Gold

A micro-influencers bathing dream has come true. A bath that is completely rose gold inside and out! This bath bomb contains Ylang Ylang and Bergamot Oils, Benzoin Resinoid and Orris Root Powder which gives the bomb a sort of floral sweet scent. To me, this scent reminded me of Coconut more than anything. I like Coconut but I wasn’t expecting it to smell like this from the ingredients that are in this bomb. Does anyone else get Coconut? Let me know. Priced at £6.

Bubble Bars:

Bestie

Snap this bubble bar in half and share with your ultimate bestie! Not only does this product look amazing due to it having a sort of entwined giraffes design but it smells amazing too! This product contains Brazilian Orange and Lime Oils which to me creates a very sort of sparkling citrus smell. Honestly this bubble bar reminds me of the Celebrate/Golden Wonder/Bubbly scent from Lush which I absolutely adore! Priced at £6.

Shower

Yummy Custard Body Wash

Who doesn’t want some lovely thick creamy stuff smeared all over them in the shower? I’ve been loving the sample of Posh Chocolate Body Wash that I got a while ago, so when I saw that Lush had released another Body Wash, I was intrigued to see what it was like. This product contains Vanilla Oat Milk, Vanilla Pod Powder and Aloe Vera Gel. I guess the gel is to help with the texture of the product and to provide a bit of nourishing and healing properties to the skin whilst the double vanilla make up the scent of this product. To me, this smells like when you open a can of Ambrosia custard. Lush had a product out years ago called Hair Custard and this body wash smells the exact same as that to me! I absolutely love it. Priced at £8 per 100g.

A photo of a selection of small and large cylindrical black pots with yummy custard body wash in white font brown m the front of them along side lush in white font on a large light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Mimosa Shower Gel

Cheers, Sweetie Darling. Who doesn’t love a good Mimosa? Not only is the name of this gel referencing that feel good drink but is also referencing the Mimosa Flower which sometimes gets forgotten due to the very well known drink. This gel contains Elderflower Infusion, Fresh Orange Juice, Wine Lees and Sweet Wild Orange Oils and Carnation. Absolute. This combination of scents to me reminds me of a Mimosa cocktail with a touch of floral pepperiness in the background which I’m guessing is from the Carnation and Elderflower. The texture is quite nice. Reminds me of a slightly thick serum to me. If you like anything citrus based then you will definitely love this Shower Gel! Priced at £7 for a 120g bottle.

A zoomed in photo of a bunch of different sized clear bottles filled with orange liquid with black circular lids with a black label that says minosa shower gel lush in white font on a light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Soap:

Buzzy Mum

Buzzy Mums may not have the time, but they deserve the self care! This soap not only smells cute but looks cute as it is in the shape of a very buzzy buzzy bee who are in dire need of being saved! This soap contains Camelina Seed Sativa Infusion, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Peach Powder, Carnation Absolute and Sweet Wild Orange Oil. To me, this soap smells like a sort of sweet floral concoction. I like it but I kind of wished that the Peach was a little bit more pronounced. Priced at £6.

A large zoomed in photo of a bunch of light white and yellow bee shaped soap with a black card that says busy mum soap on a light brown table on a bright background

Hands:

Lovely Hand Balm

To misquote Scouting For Girls, they’re so lovely! Who doesn’t love a good bit of hand care? Everyone needs to have soft hands especially after the past two years! This hand product contains Everlasting Flower Absolute and Ylang Ylang which to me creates a sort of delicate soft floral scent. To me, it reminds me of slightly scented laundry detergent. This product contains a plethora of softening ingredients like Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Gel and Macadamia Nut Oil to ensure that your hands are soft for hours and hours! Priced at £12.

A bunch of cylindrical black pots stacked on top of each other with a circular black label that says lovely hand balm lush in white font on a large light brown shelf on a bright bsckground

Eyes:

Wondermum Eye Mask

Wondermum to the rescue! This eye pad contains a plethora of ingredients including  Fennel Seed and Saffron Infusion, Fresh Carrot Juice, Aloe Gel and Carrageenan. These ingredients combine to help the eyes and to give customers who use this product a good amount of me time that they definitely deserve. The ones I used sadly ripped before I used them so it was a bit of a pain to use them. Priced at £5.

Here’s a photo of the Just For You gift that you can buy that includesThe Olive Branch Shower Gel and Lovely Hand Balm. Priced at £16.

DOAML: Gorilla Fragrances: Dear John

Meow!

Welcome to another DOAML post. Yeah, this series is slowly starting up again... If theres anything that you would like me to review from Lush or talk about skin wise then please let me know in the comments section down below!

Today I am going to talk to you guys about Dear John as I bought it a couple of weeks ago and it feels fitting to talk to you guys about the perfumes that are available at Lush as I don't think that they get enough recognition.

Dear John is a perfume that is sold at Lush. All perfumes that are sold at Lush are under the Gorilla Perfume brand. I don't know the exact story behind Gorilla Perfumes but I know that Lush created Gorilla Perfumes as it's own brand to compete with high street perfumes and so that they wouldn't be just sold at Lush stores from what I know. I could be wrong but I'm sure thats somewhat the story. Gorilla Perfumes have their own store within Islington, London and have a full on gallery within the Lush Oxford Street superstore.

The best way to tell you the scents that make up Dear John is to just list all of the scents instead of saying this is the base note as I feel like they change a bit depending on your skin so it's best to just say. Dear John contains Cedarwood, Coffee and Tobacco which gives it a deep smoky scent, Lime to give it a bit of a citrus kick, Pine, Clove, Coriander/Cilantro depending on where you are within the world and Vetivert.

The perfume comes in many forms but I decided to get the body mist as honestly its the best amount for your money as a 150g body mist bottle comes in at £13 which is pretty amazing. There is also a solid version for £7 and other bottles for various prices.

When you spritz this, you instantly get the smokiness of the coffee/cedarwood/tobacco/vetivert but when it settles you get more of a citrusy scent from the Lime. It's such a great scent for all year round but I like it most within either Spring or Autumn due to the smoky-sweetness of the product. You also get a sort of soapy hint when it has settled which I kind of like because I've never had a fragrance that did that before and it just makes you stand out when theres a lot of scents going on in the room. I also love that the scent stays on the skin for quite a while and if needed you could buy the solid just to top up on the go as the bottle is quite clunky when it comes to storing in your bag.

I would give this a 9.5/10. The only problem that I have found with it is that the other bottles are very pricey and if this wasn't the case then I would have every type of this fragrance within the confinements of my beauty drawer! I love the sweet smokiness and I love how the Coffee and Tobacco isn't off putting but adds more to the smokiness instead of being so strong that you can't smell anything else except Coffee and smoke.

Have you smelt this within a Lush store? What do you think? Have you tried any of the Gorilla Fragrances that are on offer within Lush? Let me know in the comments section down below!

DOAML: Telling The Story Of Bubbles | Tales Of Bath Spa Bloggers Event At Lush Leeds Spa

Meow!

Welcome to another DOAML post. I ended up in Lush once again (even though I'm in there most of the time when I'm in Leeds) for the launch of the Tales Of Bath treatment that is available in all of Lush Spa's within the UK.so if you want to have the treatment after reading this post then you can check the Lush website for the nearest spa and get yourself booked in for a wonderful treatment! (Images won't be great but I hope that you don't mind.)

Myself and Luke strolled leisurely to the store and ended up being the first two people there. I would like to say that this surprises me but it seriously doesn't. We waited for a tiny bit and then more and more bloggers waited outside with us. A few moments later, the doors to the store opened and we all made our way into the store. We walked in, got our names checked off on the list, grabbed a drink (there was many choices but I stuck to juice just because it was the night before the deadline for coursework and I didn't want to be drinking until after that deadline) and grabbed an mini apple pie as there were sweet things on offer all throughout the night.

We chatted to Urika who kindly took our things and put them behind the till as I had a massive laptop and two other bags and I didn't think massive bags and picking up products was the best idea. We had a little wander and then was asked to go down to the Spa to find out a little more about the new spa treatment. We went down the wooden spiral stairs and then made our way to one of the treatment rooms where the lovely staff of Lush Leeds Spa told us the story behind the Tales Of Bath treatment. She then went on to tell us about the actual treatment as it contains a shoulder massage, a bath that has epsom salts and other things within and a full body massage which includes a side-lying technique which is amazing for pregnant people or people like me who aren't fully keen on lying face down during massages... Yes, I know that having a bath within a treatment sounds very weird but its Lush and they are very well known for their bath products and their treatments so it's not that surprising that they have entwined them into one via a treatment.  The bath is private so it's not that awkward as you think.

We then went into another room to find out about The Good Hour treatment which includes a full body deep tissue massage which is based on pressure points within your body which I think is pretty amazing. Sea shanties fill the room which makes the experience that bit more relaxing somehow. We then went to check out another treatment and then we were asked if we wanted a demo of The Sound Bath treatment, a Comforter oil massage or a palm reading. Luke chose palm reading and if you want to find out more about that then click here. I chose the Comforter oil massage just as I knew that I would like it as I've had it before and that I could always do with a massage so it felt right to go with that. The oil/serum massage is a part of The Comforter treatment which I want to try at some point as it sounds amazing and I love all things Comforter so... The rose serum is bright pink in colour and is applied to the skin whilst slightly hot so it sinks into the skin quickly. The scent is a slight mixture of rose petals, the comforter and the rose jam scent. You get a bright whiff of rose petals but then if you keep sniffing you get a mixture of cassis from the comforter and a sweet hint of rose jam which blends together for a sweet floral scent.

We then headed back up to the shop floor. We had a little bit of a mooch until one of the lovely member of staff called Beth came up and talked to us. Now, as I end up in Lush every time that I'm in Leeds she knew exactly who I was and asked if there was anything that I haven't tried which was a tricky question for myself to answer. I said that I could do with a tiny bit more knowledge about the face masks and hair care. I explained that I normally stick to two face masks which are Catastrophe Cosmetic and Don't Look At Me which I fell in love with whilst in the Oxford Street superstore. She then explained and demoed Cosmetic Warrior on me. This mask has a mixture of tea tree and garlic to cleanse, green grapes which cool the skin and honey and fresh free range eggs which tighten the skin and moisturise at the same time. I fell in love with this one as I loved the colour of the mask and loved what it did. The smell was different as I was a bit indecisive on if a mix of garlic and honey would be the best scent to smother on your face but it worked really well and was quite mild.

We then went over to the hair care section where Beth told us about the shampoo bars. Now, I tried a shampoo bar at Oxford Street and I felt a bit weird after using it so I haven't tried a shampoo bar since then. I just think that the whole trying to get them to lather and then trying to get them to dry puts me off buying them more regular;y. She explained the New shampoo bar to start off with, this one is heavily spiced with things such as Cinnamon and Cloves which stimulate new hair growth hence the name. She explained that if you want your hair to grow then this one would be the best for you.

She then went on to Seanik as I explained that I would like moisture with a slight bit of volume as I like to have a slight bit of volume in the back on my hair just so its not all flat/lifeless. This one has seaweed, sea salt and lemon in it to give the hair volume and shine but has a summery scent to it so if you're looking for a shampoo that will make you feel like a marvellous mermaid then this would be the best one for you!

Beth then went on about the Honey I Washed My Hair bar as this one is the best for moisture. It has the scent of Golden Egg/Honey I Washed/It's Raining Men which is a toffee scent but is made up of Orange and Bergamot (I'm not sure how either but I love the scent so I'm not complaining!) Honey is very well known for adding moisture so if you're like me who wants moisture within their hair then this one might be for you! It does have Gold lustre within so if you're not a big fan of lustre then it might not be the best for you? It's up to you really!

We then had another mooch about and then went to make our own Comforter Bubble Bar's. Yes, I was very excited as I love The Comforter and I love making Lush products. We sat ourselves down and was given a chunk of white and pink. We then had to squish them together and start turning them. Mine decided to crumble very quickly which meant that I had to fiddle with it a little. I then started to try and turn it until it resembled a cone and then squished it which resulted in more crumbling but it looked pretty damn pretty. The lovely staff member decided to give us another one as she had made some in advance just as she guessed that mine would crumble as soon as you tried to get it out of the packet. I forgot to get her name but thank you Lush staff member! They will be used with love as I know that they have been made in front of my eyes!

I was deciding if I wanted anything as I felt that it would be best to get stuff then instead of coming back in when the store would probably be busy. I decided that I would not get anything as I already have enough within my lush drawer and that it would be best to replenish nearer the time of when I didn't have so much products to get through! Beth then gave me a sample of Grease Lightning to try as I said that I had heard about Celestial which is a Moisturiser from the wonderful Kellie but as my face is dry and normally in some sort of acne plague so Grease Lightning would be better for myself.

Urika came over for a little bit of a chat. It's always amazing to see Urika. We had a little natter and a selfie and then myself and Luke grabbed our things, got our goodie bags and said bye to all of the staff.

I thought that I would do a little paragraph about the things we got in our goodie bags as I know that you're all nosey people who want to know! We got a Full of Grace facial serum which is basically a massage bar full of Lavender for the face. A Therapy massage bar which contains Lavender, Neroli and Sweet Orange Oil. A Green Bubbleroon which contains Avocado, Lime and Bergamot and Golden Egg Bath Ballistc/Melt as it has the fizz of a ballistic but the melting of oils such as Cocoa Butter and Olive Oil. It smells amazing! To compliment the honey scent, there was also a Honey I Washed My Hair Bar to try in the bag as well!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned in this post? Have you tried out the Tales Of Bath treatment? Let me know in the comments section below!

I would like to thank the wonderful Urika for inviting me to the event! I would also like to thank the Lush Leeds Spa staff for putting on an amazing event! I hope that you have enjoyed this lengthy post and I hope that you read the next post whenever it is up!

Diary Of A Meowing Lushie: Lush Spring York Event

Meow!

Welcome to another DOAML post. This post isn't a review or anything like that but it is definitely Lush related so I thought that I would talk to you guys about it.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to attend the Lush Spring event in York by the lovely Urika. Click on her name to go to her blog and I would like to thank her for some of the shots of the products within this post! I got the email and obviously said yes as I love Lush and I definitely love finding out about the new ranges that are on offer within stores.

We arrived at the store a tiny bit late due to Google Maps wanting to take us on a weird route... (It's the fact that we got to the store that counts, right?!) We entered and was welcomed in by the lovely staff. (If you have read my blog before then you will know that I'm not great with names unless you shout them at me and drill the names into my head...) We were first told about what was going on throughout the night and what ranges we were going to have a look at.

We were also asked if we wanted a drink which I said yes to because I always have a dry mouth so I always need a drink... We were offered Lemonade or Raspberry and Elderflower. I went for the Raspberry and Elderflower as it seemed a bit more Spring like compared to Lemonade which I think is more Summery. We were also told that there were snacks on offer in the form of biscuits and chocolate eggs because well Easter and chocolate eggs. The biscuits were Vegan and the Chocolate eggs were vegetarian which was good to know as every bloggers dietary requirements aren't the same and because Lush are known for catering the Vegan and Vegetarian communities for beauty products so it's good to see that they carry this on within their bloggers events.

The first task that we had to do was to collect three Fluffy Eggs that were dotted all around the store and the first person to find three won a Sunflower Bubble Bar which is only available in certain Gift Sets that are sold in all Lush stores within the UK or via going to Lush Oxford Street I believe... If that is possible for you then you are very lucky! I didn't win sadly but I had a lot of fun scouring and dashing around the store trying to find the bath bombs. I rhink that this task and the one below prizes were the same but I honestly can't fully remember...

The next task was to make something Alice In Wonderland inspired out of Fun. The point of this task was to just have fun and then to introduce yourself with your design. I tried to make a White Rabbit but let's just say this Rabbit looked more like what someone would run over in the middle of the night but its the thought and effort that counts, right?!

We were then given one last task which was to take as many pictures and put them on instagram via the in store wifi. God, I love it when a store has wifi! The one that was the most prettiest would win a gift set. The only bad thing was that my phone was dead so I had to use Lukes and that we had to go home before the prize winner was announced. I hope whoever won is loving their gift set!

We then went round to the demo area where we got shown a mixture of things which included most of the Mothers Day collection and the new Easter collection.

The first thing that I can remember was the Bunch Of Carrots. This product comes in a bhnch of three hence the name. These contain Sicilian Lemon, Bergamot and Buchu Oils which give the product a deep zesty scent. You use these like you use the Wands at Christmas time which is just run them under a tap and leave them to dry. Personally, I would take one off the bunch and then use them in the wand way or if you don't want any mess then just crumble into a bath and then run the bath. They cost £6.25 which is pretty good for three bars.

We also saw Ultraviolet being demonstrated which was out last year. It smells of Parma Violets so if you love them then you will love this! It ddoes have lustre so if you're not a fan of that then I doubt you will enjoy it. It turns the water a lovely purple colour and leaves bubbles that feel like silk! It can be used for way more than one bath so if you're wanting something that smells of Violets and something a bit decadent then this is for you! Costs

We got shown and smelt both soaps which are Somewhere Over The Rainbow and Sunrise.

SOTR is based off the Rainbow within the Wizard Of Oz. I'm not sure what this has to do with Easter but I think it's more of a Spring thing. The massive version has all the colours of the rainbow on therefore when a staff member cuts a piece for you, it won't be the same as any other piece! It contains Sicilian Mandarin, Neroli and Rose Absolute. I think that the Neroli is the most definitive within the bunch scent wise but Neroli is meant to help you be happy which is a pretty good bonus! Priced at £4.25 per 100g.

Sunrise. This soap is actually based on the Sun which is an interesting concept to build upon. This has been done via the colour been a mixture of burning red and glistening orange and also via the soap being hard on the outside but squidgy in the middle. The squidginess is via Murumuru Butter and Tofu which represents a core. The scent is the same as the Brightside Bubble Bar which is Mandarin Oil which means that it is very Orange scented but not in a way that is overwhelming. Priced at £4.25.

We then went onto Bath Bombs. There is a good few bath bombs that are out this Spring so I'm just going to mention two because it is easier doiing that. There is the Which Came First? This has been out in previous years under the name The Immaculate Eggception where there was two bombs in different colours but this year it has been changed in many ways. WCF is a bomb that you can smash. If you remember last year this concept was shown via Love Locket and many other products. You can smash/crack this bomb open which can be used on 2 baths and then there is a surprise in the middle which is another egg. This concept is also shown via Humpty Dumpty which I personally think looks a bit creepy. This product contains Vanilla Absolute, Grapefruit Oil and Lemon Oil which gives it a sweet yet uplifting scent. Priced at £6.95.

The other bomb is Golden Egg. If you read my blog this time or followed me on Social Media this time last year then you will know how much I love Golden Egg. This product is a cross between a Bomb and a Melt as it has glitter and fizzes which makes it a ballistic/bomb but it also has a core of Fair Trade Cocoa Butter and Olive Oil which nourishes the skin. There is a lot of lustre with this product so if you're not a fan of it then you might not be a fan of this. The scent is made up of Orange and Bergamot which creates a sweet Honey/Toffee scent somehow but it is to die for! Priced at £3.95.

I also purchased something which I am going to put in another paragraph as I thought I might as well as link all the products I got together. We browsed and chatted a bit more and headed off for the train.

I also received a goodie bag which I can't thank the staff enough for giving me. The bag contained a Bunch Of Carrots which I mentioned above, a block of SOTR that I have mentioned above, a Golden Egg and a 100g bottle of Yummy Mummy. If you want to find out more about the shower cream then click on Yummy Mummy. I also scoured the shelves and decided on one thing to buy which I think is good as I rarely just buy one thing from Lush. I decided to buy The Experimenter. If you want to find out more then click here.

Have you checked out any of the new Spring ranges from Lush? Let me know down below! Do you have a favourite product from the Spring Ranges from Lush? Is it the Unicorn Horn from Valentines Day or is it mentioned in this post or is it something completely different? Let me know down below!

I can't thank the guys enough at Lush York for inviting me to the event and putting on such a great event. I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post and I hope to see you next time for another post. I hope that you are enjoying my DOAML series!

PS: Thanks to all the lovely bloggers that attended and the ones that I got to know throughout the event. Check either @_LushYork on Twitter or #LushSpring on Twitter to find out more blog posts from this event!

Diary Of A Meowing Lushie | Prince Charming Shower Cream Review

Meow!

Welcome to another DOAML post. Today is a review about one of the new Valentines Day products.
This is also a first for me as I am writing about a product when its actually in stores instead of writing about it three weeks after it has been discontinued for the year from stores...

Prince Charming is a product from the Valentines Day range that has been out in previous years. This year, Lush have decided to change the formula of the product which means that it is no longer a shower gel. Prince Charming is now a Shower Cream which means that it has more nourishing ingredients within the product and has a thicker consistency compared to a shower gel. Lush have released a lot of Shower Creams within the last year therefore I would expect them to bring any shower product within the future to be either a shower cream or a jelly.

It contains Fresh Pomegranate Juice and Grapefruit Oil. It also contains Marshmallow Root and Vanilla Pod Infusion as the other ingredients. These ingredients together create a Jaffa Cake-esque scent which sounds weird as it contains no Orange Oil in whatsoever. Yuzu and Cocoa is meant to smell of Chocolate Orange but I think that this smells of it a lot more than Yuzu and Cocoa does. I think that it shares its scent with Lovers Lamp quite a bit.

When you use it, it takes a while for the product to come out of the bottle as the Cocoa Butter within the cream makes it quite thick. It is one of those products that you have to squeeze the hell out of to get any of it. When you lather the product up it becomes quite foamy which is what I love about Lush's shower range. I always like to massage the cream in when it has lathered up which gets the scent into the skin a little bit more. It takes a bit longer for it to work but it's the best way for the scent to work. The scent on the skin is a bit weaker compared to the scent within the bottle. It does last quite a long while on the body though after you have used it.

The nourishing properties work more after you have used it. It nourishes your body as well as Butterball does but has a slightly better scent than Butterball. If you're looking for a new shower product that actually nourishes you instead of cleansing you then I recommend you to purchase Prince Charming.

The price of Prince Charmiing is £4.95 for 100g which is an alright price for people who want to try it but not to commit to say a 500g bottle as they're not sure if they will get through it all. The prices go up from £9.75, £16.50 and £27.95 for a 1kg bottle which you can onlu buy from the website or Oxford Street I think so if you fall in love with it then you have the option to buy a massive bottle of it.

I would give this an 8.5 out of 10. There is nothing wrong with it per se and I love the scent and the texture but I would like to know where the Orange scent is coming from which would bump it up to a good 9 at least. The creamy texture is for certain people as well so unless you like quite thick shower products then you might not like the texture of this product.

I hope that you have enjoyed this DOAML post, Click on Prince Charming if you want to find out more or purchase this product. Have you bought anything from the Valentines Day range at Lush then let me know down below in the comments section below. I hope to see you next time for another blog post!

Diary Of A Meowing Lushie | Lush Christmas Haul

Meow!

If you checked out my last blog post then you will know that I bought some stuff over the festive period which included some Lush products and as I bought quite a bit I thought that it would be best to do a post on its own all about Lush. Some stuff is from the sale and some is not but all of it is limited edition except one product I think so the stuff that I mention might not be able to purchase by the time this goes up.

I got a few presents off Luke which I will talk about first as I picked them out a while ago and then received them on Christmas Day. Before you ask if it's not fun because you know what you're getting and the answer is no. It is fun because I forget what I'm doing within at least 24 hours of doing it unless I check/sniff the bag etc so it's still a lot of fun realising what Lush presents I have to add to my drawer.

The first thing that I am going to talk about is So White. I have never used So White as I'm not the biggest fan of Apple Scents so So White hasn't really appealed to me in the past but Luke loves it and wants to try and get me to like it for when the Christmas range comes back in 2016. This ballistic contains Bergamot Oil, Rose Absolute Oil and many other amazing essential oils. The ballistic slowly disappears in the bath where the white goes and in the middle the pink shows which slowly turns the bath water such a wonderful colour.

The next product is Luxury Lush Pud. I've already talked about it in the past and within the last lush haul which I shall link here. This product is the festive cousin of Twilight. The ballistic is scented with Lavender and Tonka Absolute. The Lavender creates a soothing scent which is amazing for nightime/before going to bed whereas the Tonka Absolute gives a sweet kick to the scent which cuts through the lavender to give it a slight toffee kick. There is also spots of colour on the product which make it go a pretty colour.

The next thing that I got was a Dashing Santa. The name of this ballistic comes from an inside joke at the Lush factory that is within Poole as the staff are so busy at the festive time of the year therefore they ended up being dubbed Dashing Santa's. This one is meant to have a scent of Satsuma's which I understand when I smell it but I think versions of this (2014) had more of a strong scent to it which I loved so I was slightly a bit underwhelmed when I smelt this years version. It contains Bergamot Oil, Mandarin Oil and Orange Flower Absolute. This Santa also has Gold boots so there will be a hint of lustre when you drop it into the water so if you're not a big fan of lustre then you might not like this one.

The next one that I got was Shoot For The Stars. I've talked about this one quite a lot within the past as I love the scent of this ballistic and I also love what it does to the water. There is rumours of this one taking over Honey Bee as a permanent as they both share the same scent but Honey Bee doesn't sell as much as SFTS does at Winter. (I think that might be why but as it's a rumour please don't bank on this.) If you're not familiar with the scent then it is a mixture of Brazilian Orange and Bergamot which creates a deep sweet honey/toffee scent. You need to purchase one for me to explain what it does in the bath.

Cinders. Now I did get one of these last year (2014) but sadly it crumbled before I had the chance to use it. This one is influenced on fireside moments and when you want that fireside moment in the bath when its cold. Cinders contains Almond Oil, Sweet Orange Oil and Cinnamon Leaf Oil to give that sort of spicy Cherry Cola scent that it is so known for. It also has Vegan Popping Candy on top as well to complete that feeling of being at the side of the fire. It is quite a small bath bomb but it packs a punch!

Golden Wonder. Yes, I got more Golden Wonder's. I love the citrus scent that they give off and ah, it's just so amazing. The scent is a mixture of cognac, lime and orange! The colour that give the water is such a lovely hue of turquoise and the lustre adds a glimmer of shine but not too much to the point where it would put you off using one again. Did you know that it takes a week to make one due to the layers within the product? I nearly got the Celebrate perfume when it was on the Kitchen a while back but I didn't have the money to spend on just one product so sadly I didn't get it. (The Golden Wonder scent is in all of the Celebrate range.)

The last thing that Luke got me was a Santa's Lip Scrub. I wanted one of these last year but by the time I got round to getting one they were all sold out so I got a Mint Julep one instead and that started my love for sugar lip scrubs from Lush. This product has caster sugar in so you can scrub away all the dead/dry skin that Winter brings but also has Coconut Oil which moisturises the lips, Aniseed Oil, Black Pepper Oil, Lime Oil and an extract of Cherries and Dates to give the product a Cherry Cola scent. It also has little red hearts which sounds weird but works.

The rest of the post is things that I bought within the sale. Sadly I didn't get chance to buy anything online which I shall explain in another post but I did go in store and picked up some things that were left from the sale.

The first things that I bought was a Snowman FUN.

If you don't know what FUN is then I shall explain it for you. FUN is a concept that the Founder of Lush, Mo Constantine came up with so her grandchildren would be interested within Lush and bathtime cosmetics. The concept is that this product can be multipurpose and can be moulded into anything possible so the children have fun making something and then get to enjoy it. The concept was first trialled in Japan and it was such a success so Lush brought it out everywhere. You can use FUN as shampoo, bubble bath or soap. I have heard in the past that some have even used it as washing powder for clothes!

Snowman FUN has three different sections. A white section, a orange section and a black section therefore if you use all of these together you can create yourself your very own Snowman! You can then drown the snowman and have fun with your bath... The scent of this product is a fruity one thanks to Buchu Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil and Bergamot Oil. If you're a Lushie then you will know that this shares the same scent as the Carrot Soap and the Bunch of Carrots that are released at Easter.

I also got a Gold FUN which shares the same scent as Honey Bee, It's Raining Men, SFTS and much more. It has a sweet honey/toffee scent via Orange and Bergamot which I completely love. This FUN is a seasonal limited edition one and I got to use it in 2014 at the Leeds event and never picked it up so I thought I would when it was half price this year. It does have Gold Lustre within so if you're not a big fan of lustre then I don't think that you will like this product but I love a bit of lustre so I adore this product.

The next thing that I got was a weird one. Hair Custard. Yes, custard for the hair. This product used to be an Oxford Street exclusive and I was tempted to get it but the price of it is quite expensive for 100g. When I saw it at the sale I had to get some as I knew that I loved the scent and I have heard people rave about this within the past. The product/dressing is meant to fight static and add moisture and shine. It sorts the condition of your hair out a bit via the egg whites that are in the product (as there is egg whites it isn't a vegan product) which is known throughout the media to sort your hair out quite well. You can use it many ways such as putting it on before blow drying or straight on dry hair to make sure that it is nourished which is what I have been doing (I'm halfway through reviewing it as I use beauty products for a week before I review them.) You can also use it as a hair perfume which is quite amazing. The scent is quite like Custard as the custard is mainly based on a Fairtrade Vanilla Pod Infusion, Grapefruit Juice and Fairtrade Vanilla Absolute.

I also got First Snow which is a dusting powder that shares the same scent as Celebrate and Golden Wonder. It has Cognac, Lime and Sweet Orange in which I absolutely adore and has a bit of lustre within so if you don't like lustre then it's probably not for you which means more for me! It is meant to be used as a finishing product as you put it on just before going out and is meant for that festive party season. I use it mainly when I want a little bit of a pick me up. 85 also contains talc which is slightly nourishing to the skin. I got it for half price which came to around £3. I was a bit disappointed that Celebrate Lotion had vanished into thin air which meant I didn't get any this season as paying £12 for a body lotion was a bit on the expensive side for me when it was available. This is a great product to accompany the Golden Wonder and I may use it after a bath with one in the future!

The last thing that I got was Reindeer Rock, I did get it via Luke but I thought I would put it here. If you have read any of the other DOAML posts then you will know that I LOVE The Comforter scent and yes that is what this soap smells of. This was out last year but it was a different colour and had little reindeers printed all over it whereas this year (2015) Lush have decided to go for a Carrot Soap concept where there is just one reindeer in the middle of each bar of soap. (If you've never seen Carrot Soap before then the concept is that it is shaped as a massive carrot and then every slice of soap contains a big rabbit in the middle of the bar.) The soap contains Lingonberries which give the soap that Comforter-esque scent but also keeps dry skin at bay. Bergamot Oil and Cassis Absolute which can also be found within The Comforter Shower Cream and Bubble Bar. I am tempted to have a Triple Comforter bath with the shower cream, bar and soap but I'm not sure yet... Hmm... (PS It has lustre in. I shall report back to you somehow about how much lustre ends up on the skin.)

So, that is everything that I got from the Lush Winter Sale. Did you get anything? Have you bought any of the above? Let me know in the comments section! I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post and I hope to see you next time for another blog post!

Meow!
