AD | Gifting A Hopeless Romantic The Ultimate Skincare Routine | Lush February 2026 Fresh & Flowers Box

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The wonderful Fresh Team at Lush kindly sent me the February Fresh and Flowers Box and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it!

I know that this post is late but I do like to take my time to properly try products out and sadly things have been busy lately. Well busy on top of recovering from a throat infection that was brutal. Sorry for this blog post going up as late as it has!

A photo of a large rectangular light brown table with a rectangular black box filled with flowers with a clear piece of parchment on the top that says hopeless romantic Lush fresh and flowers box in black font with two circular pots one filled with a light body scrub with a light yellow circular label that says peachy body scrub Lush in black font and the other one in a darker red and orange circular label with sweetie hydrating fresh face mask Lush in black font that is filled with a light pink fresh face mask with a turn a tab above it that is in the shape of the word cutie with a light pink colour and some Luster to it with a circular cylindrical rock shaped solid piece of body butter with some red love hearts on it and a golden bear first shaped facial gummy from Lush in the scent of the iconic viral fragrance super milk with some red flowers next to it on a bright background

PeachyBody Scrub

It's time to get peachy keen!

Ingredients:

Kaolin, Aqua (Water), Prunus Persica Fruit (Peach), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Shell Powder (Ground Almond Shells), Prunus Persica Kernel Oil (Peach Kernel Oil), Glycerin, Prunus Persica Fruit Extract (Peach Powder), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Seed (Ground Almonds), Parfum, Artemisia Pallens Herb Oil (Davana Oil), Canarium Commune Gum Oil (Elemi Oil), Citrus Paradisi Peel Oil (Grapefruit Oil), Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil (Tagetes Oil), Prunus Persica Leaf Extract (Dried Peach Leaf Extract), Tilia Europaea Flower Extract (Dried Lime Tree Flower Extract), Sucrose (Sugar), Saccharide Hydrolysate (Invert Sugar Syrup), Citric Acid, Geraniol, Citral, Farnesol, Limonene, Linalool.

Who doesn't love a good Body Scrub to start their self care routine off with?

Peachy Body Scrub contains Ground Almond Shells, Kaolin and Ground Almonds. This trio of gorgeous goodies help truly cleanse the skin and get rid of dirt and impurities on the body as the Kaolin helps to draw them out. Peachy Body Scrub also contains Peach Keenel Oil which hydrates the skin so your skin feels beautifully clean without feeling too stripped. I mean I don't know about you but I want to feel smooth and cleansed without my skin feeling stripped and irritated when I've used a Body Scrub.

Peachy contains a plethora of beautiful oils to create a gorgeous fragrance that helps to perk you up first thing in the morning and makes you feel like you can get up and do anything with the day ahead. Well it does to me anyway.

Peachy contains Davana, Grapfruit, Tagetes, Elemi and Peach Powder which blend together to create a truly bright and zingy Peach fragrance that has a sort of sherbet edge to it. I know that i said that it perks me up first thing in the morning when I've been using it but I think that it also reminds me of warm weather and wanting to go on holidays which makes it a great product to use when the days are a bit dull and dreary during that sort of end of winter/beginning of spring time that we are in at the moment.

Sweetie Fresh Face Mask

Hello Sweetie!

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Kaolin, Calamine (Calamine Powder), Fragaria Vesca Juice (Fresh Strawberry Juice), Zea Mays Starch (Cornstarch), Acer Saccharum Sap (Maple Syrup), Sucrose (Caster Sugar), Citrullus Vulgaris Fruit Extract (Fresh Watermelon), Punica Granatum Fruit Juice (Pomegranate Molasses), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil (Bergamot Oil), Boswellia Carterii Oil (Olibanum Oil), Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Geranium Oil), Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Alcohol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Parfum, CI 45410:2, CI 77491.

Sweetie contains Fresh Strawberry Juice and Fresh Watermlon. Both of these help to give a fruity edge to this gorgeous face mask. Not only that but Strawberry and Watermelon are both well known for their intensely hydrating properties. As I have mentioned in a fair few blog posts by now, my skin leans towards being in the dry and irritated side when it comes to trying to define my skin type. My skin fluctuates quite vastly and can range from dry and irritated to being coated in breakouts and needing a detox during a hormonal or stressful time. I've used Sweetie a fair few times since receiving this Fresh and Flowers Box and I do have to state that my skin has felt absolutely gorgeous since using this face mask. Not only has my face felt plump, hydrated and all over nourished but my skin has also been left with a wonderful glow after using this face mask which I absolutely adore. I am a sucker for a glowy face or for any skincare products that help to give a glowy look to my face.

Sweetie also contains Maple Syrup and Pomegranate Molasses which helps to moisturise the skin wonderfully. I noticed a massive improvement in the moisture of my skin as my skin is on the dry side and after using this mask I only had to go in with one of the two moisturisers that I use daily that are quite rich and emollient.

Sweetie contains Bergamot, Olibanum and Geranium Oils which blend together to create a really strong powdery yet slightly sweet Strawberry fragrance that reminds me of a mixture of Strawberries and Cream and Strawberry Laces with a slightly floral edge in the background. If you have tried Strawberry Feels Forever or D'Fluff and loved the scent then you will adore the fragrance of Sweetie as they share the same scent!

I think that Sweetie would be an amazing product if it was sold in stores all year round for anyone who loves anything that helps with their dry skin or wants something that will help to give them a glowy base before going on a night out. I also think that anyone who loves the iconic, legendary River Song from Docto Who would love this face mask given to them as a gift with the references in the Fresh Face Masks name...

Cutie Toner Tabs

These Toner Tabs are going to help you look and feel like a right cutie!

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Alcohol Denat., Parfum, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil (Geranium Oil), Citrus Limon Peel Oil (Lemon Oil), Rosa Damascena Extract (Rose Extract), Rosa Damascena Flower Oil (Rose Oil), Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis Flower Powder (Hibiscus Flower Powder), Aqua (Water), Rosa Centifolia Flower (Dried Red Rose Petals), Centaurea Cyanus Flower (Red Cornflowers), Titanium Dioxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, *Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, CI 45410:2, CI 77491.

I know that Toner Tabs may be a new concept for some of you that are reading this blog post so I thought that it may be best to explain what they are and how to use them. Toner Tabs are solid tablets that are full of skin care goodies and excellent essential oils that can be taken on the go and are great for when you're travelling or for when you're going to a friends house to have a superb self care evening! The best way to use the Cutie Toner Tabs is to break each letter off and imagine each letter as one use. Once you've snapped a letter off, pop into a bowl of hot water and let the toner tab dissolve into the water. Once done you can use to wash the Sweetie Fresh Face Mask off with or bottle it up into a toner spray that you can use whenever wherever. I've snapped one of the letters off and bottled into an old toner spray bottle to use whilst I'm on the go, on the train, out for the day or for when I need a top up as I've been getting randomlh warm and a bit shaky recently when out so it's really helped with that personally.

Cutie Toner Tabs contain Geranium Oil, Rose Oil and Lemon Oil which blend together to create a truly delectable sweet rose scent that has a burst of citrus that helps to make the floral Rose and Geranium pop. If you're a fan of Rose Jam from Lush then you will love Cutie Toner Tabs as they share the same scent.

Talking of Rose Oil, not only does it help to scent these toner tabs with a beautifully sweet floral fragrance but Rose Oil is also known for helping to soothe the skin and calm down redness which I am always in need of. My skin has a big tendency in flip flopping between dry and irritated  especially during the end of Winter and beginning of Spring. As I've mentioned in other blog posts I suffer from hormonal skin problems and my skin gets irritated from weather changes and other factors such as stress easily so having something that I can bottle up and whack in my big bag of goodies and just spritz when I notice that my skin doesn't behave has been an absolute delight.

After using Cutie for a fair while now I can totally say that my skin has calmed down and stopped being so red and irritated of late which I absolutely adore because my skin being irritated and visibly red has affected me going out sometimes due to being a little bit self conscious. I know I shouldn't be but that's just not how it works, you know?

Lush do state on their website and app that you can split the letters of Cutie up and use them throughout the month or share with a partner, friend or loved one. When I received my box I noticed that my Cutie Toner Tabs were split into two which may have happened during delivery which I was a bit sad about but after reading that they're meant to be shared I was kond of delighted as it meant I could gift the smaller chunk that had snapped off and I could save the bigger piece for myself to use and try out. I've still not decided on who I'm gifting the other part to but it'll likely be Luke or my partner who receives them.

Hunny Bear Facial Gummy

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Propylene Glycol, Mel (Honey), Chondrus Crispus Extract (Carrageenan Extract), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Organic Almond Oil), Avena Sativa Kernel Flour (Fine Ground Oatmeal), Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract (Vanilla Extract), Litsea Cubeba Fruit Oil (Litsea Cubeba Oil), Styrax Tonkinensis Resin Extract (Benzoin Resinoid Extract), Alkanna Tinctoria Root Extract (Alkanet Extract), Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Coumarin, Limonene, Parfum, CI 45410:2, CI 77491.

honey isn't just for bears, it's for your gorgeous face too.

Hunny Bear contains Honey and Fine Ground Oatmeal. Honey is known as a humectant which helps to ensure the moisture is locked into the skin whilst also being known for being antibacterial. Fine Ground Oatmeal helps to scrub away dirt and impurities whilst being soft and soothing to the skin which means that it's a perfect scrub for those with sensitive skin. I did notice that after lathering this gummy onto my face that there was a very light scrub which I used to scrub away dirt and SPF after a long day. I quite like how it was a light scrub as sometimes after a long day or when I've felt unwell I've just wanted a light scrub where I don't have to scrub too hard. I also noticed that the honey did help to make my skin feel more moisturised and nourished after using it on a night before applying my night serums.

Hunny Bear contains Vanilla, Litsea Cubeba and Benzoin which blend together to create a gorgeously sweet creamy fragrance that has a blast of citrus to it. If you're a fan of the viral icon that is Super Milk Hair Primer from Lush then you'll love this facial gummy as it shares the same fragrance as Super Milk. To me this is Super Milk but I'd say it leans more on the creamy smoky side rather than the lemon citrus side of Super Milk (I don't know if it leans more on the smoky side due to the addition of fresh honey) but it would be a perfect addition to a Super Milk routine if you adore the scent as a whole. I've been using it for a while and I really like it. I was a bit dubious about using Super Milk on my face but it mellows out a tiny bit when you lather it on your face.

I love all things honey and all things bears so I thought I was going to love this little cutie and I truly do. I think that the facial gummies are a great easy product to use first thing in the morning or last thing at night or for when you want something small and compact to travel with!

Mon Cheri Enfleurage

Mon Cheri, this Enfleurage is going to make you swoon over me...

Ingredients:

Persea Gratissima Fruit Butter (Avocado Butter), Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter), Prunus Avium Seed Oil (Cherry Kernel Oil), Parfum, Theobroma Cacao Extract (Cocoa Extract), Prunus Amygdalus Amara Kernel Oil (Almond Essential Oil), Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Coumarin, *Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, CI 45410:2, CI 77491, Rosa Centifolia Flower (Fresh Red Rose Petals), Bellis Perennis Flower Extract (Fresh Daisy Flowers).

I know some of you may be slightly confused on what an Enfleurage is so I thought I'd explain before I talk about Mon Cheri. A Lush Enfleurage is a block of gorgeous butters and oils scented with beautiful essential oils that help to hydrate, and nourish the skin whilst ensuring that the body glows and looks and smells gorgeous. Lush's Enfleurages are inspired by the viral well known Ice Cream Rolls and in turn are rolled up into a gorgeous ice cream roll inspired shape before being shipped out to everyone to enjoy and use. If you've used a Massage Bar from Lush then imagine a slightly softer creamier version of that rolled up to look like an ice cream roll.

Mon Cheri contains a plethora of butters that help to soften the skin such as Avocado Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Cherry Kernel Oil. Not only do they hydrate the skin beautifully so you feel smooth, soft and supple but they also give the enfleurage a sort of base scent which helps the essential oils to project more and project on the skin quite vividly. The Cocoa Butter and Cherry Kernel Oil blend together to give a comforting light chocolate cherry fragrance that is warm and fruity.

Furthermore. Mon Cheri does contain glitter so this enfleurage would be perfect to use before going out for a special occasion, a night out or just for when you want to sparkle and glisten as the butters and oils help to hydrate the skin whilst the glitter sparkles under daylight or say candlelight on a date. I know that some aren't the biggest fan of glitter but honestly I say all the glitter and more. You can never have too much glitter in my eyes!

Mom Cheri contains Cocoa and Almond Essential Oil which in my opinion blends with the Cocoa Butter and Cherry Kernel Oil to create a beautifully decadent and rich fragrance that reminds me of a Black Forest Gateaux that has a touch of nutty Almond in the background that makes it smell like a mixture of Cherry Bakewell and Black Forest Gateaux. I know that may sound a touch sickly to some but I absolutely adore it. If you have been loving the Love Bug Scrubee or the Cherryish Body Spray then you will love this Enflsurage as they share the same scent. I used a tiny bit of this Enfleurage after using the Love Bug Scrubee, Happy Holidays Shower Gel and then applied Cherryish after before going out for a day of food and adventure in Leeds and I smelt and felt absolutely gorgeous!

I love this Fresh and Flowers Box as a whole. It's seductive it's fruity, it's fun. It's everything that you want from a Fresh and Flowers Box from Lush that focuses upon romance and love via using fresh ingredients in beauty products. Recently Lush announced the discontinuation of this subscription box after April and honestly I am gutted about it as I love the subscription box. It's always based around amazing concepts with beautiful products! When this box comes through my letter box it brightens my whole week up and makes me excited to delve into the box and see what products lush have curated for the month!

Did you grab the February Fresh and Flowers Box? If so let me know your thoughts on the box and the contents down below and on social media!

Bringing Back The Favourites Of The Bunch | Lush Fan Favourites Range (Grass, Karma Kream, King Of Skin and Godiva).

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I was recently sent some amazing products from Lush PR and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

A wide shot photo of a tall cylindrical bottle filled with dark green liquid with a black label that says grass shower gel lush in white font on a bright background next to a black wide cylidericnal pot that says karma cream lush in white font filled with orange cream next to a yellow crown shaped solid body butter and a purple circular shampoo bar with yellow flowers on top on a bright background

Grass Shower Gel

Spring is nearly upon us and the first sign of Spring is normally the smell of freshly cut Grass.

This shower gel was once a staple at Lush. As it has been discontinued for some years now, fans have been begging Lush to bring it back and they have finally listened. This shower gel contains Sandalwood. Bergamot and Neroli Oils. In my opinion, these three oils help to create a sort of creamy citrus heavy scent. The addition of Wheatgrass Juice helps to push that sort of green fresh scent that everyone associates with the scent of grass. Is it a weird scent to some? Probably but I think it is one of those that you love and found intriguing and some would find disgusting. To me, I quite like this Shower Gel. I think that it will be amazing for those two days a year in England that are quite warm in the Summer or for when I want a scent that is going to help perk me up in the morning. I have realised that this scent performs differently in different products. For example, the Lotion that was available in a Kitchen Box sometime ago is very creamy compared to the rest of the range where as the Perfume is very citrus centric to me with only a touch of fresh green notes to it. I’ve used this gel twice snd it is light, strongly and beautifully scented and definitely adds a spring to my step when I have used it first thing in the morning. This gel is priced at £10 for a 120g bottle.

Karma Kream Body Lotion

Karma Kream has forever been one of my favourite products from Lush so when I heard that it was coming back, back, back again to stores I was thrilled. Karma Kream consists of Fair Trade Organic. Cocoa Butter, Patchouli, Brazilian Orange, Lemongrass, Lavandin, Elemi and Siberian Fir Needle Oils. The Cocoa Butter provides moisture whilst all of the rest provide that signature Karma scent that just transports you to another realm or brings you back to the first ever time that you smelt it. I absolutely adore this product.

To me, the main sort of notes of this fragrance are the Patchouli, Orange and Fir Needle. I think that the Lemongrass, Elemi and Lavandin help to boost these three main ingredients just to help them come across a little bit more strongly on the skin. The best way to sum this fragrance up, is imagine that you’ve walked into an incense store and you can smell sort of a mixture of Patchouli Incense burning and a waft of Orange from bowl of Oranges at the same time whilst being able to pick up other notes in the distance.

The Kream is moisturising, rich and light all at the same time for me which is hard to achieve especially as my skin is dry and forever loves thick formulas. I’ve even used this on irritated parts of my body and it has nourished them wonderfully. This product is strongly scented and I love that as it means I can put a bit on in the morning, use the Karma Solid Perfume and be done for the day all whilst still being complimented on my fabulous fragrance. If I really want to, I just apply Karma Kream and I can still smell it by the end of the day or go completely all out with the Liquid Fragrance for a special occasion. It’s definitely a unique scent that you will either love or loathe and I absolutely love this scent. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t yet and would be perfect for someone who needs a little TLC and me time. I hope that this stays around for good! Priced at £20.

King Of Skin Body Butter

Rub some royalty on your body as this is truly the King Of Skin. King Of Skin is a product that I think was discontinued too early so I am glad that it has triumphantly returned. This product contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Fair Trade Bananas, Oat Milk, Fresh Avocado, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil. Tangerine, Lavender and Sandalwood Oils, Rose Absolute and Olibanium Resinoid. All of the oils such as Jojoba and Coconut and the Oat Milk and Banana entire that this product makes your skin super soft and well is why this product is the King Of Skin. The main fragrance notes that I get from this are Tangerine, and Sandalwood. The rest are very much in the background compared to these two. This means that if you’re not the biggest fan of Lavender then you should be fine with this product as the Lavender isn’t that detectable.

The way to use this is to glide it onto wet skin, massage it in and then rinse off in the shower or bath. I’ve been using this for the past few weeks and have really enjoyed using it. I have severely dry skin and this nourishes it beautifully/ Priced at £9.

Godiva Shampoo Bar

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, its a seampoo and conditioner bar! This Shampoo bar contains Cypress Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Palmarosa Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil. This bar also contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Jojioba Oil, Camelia Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Macadamia Nut Oil and Cupuacu Butter. This conditioning elixir that is added to the bar makes the bar a shampoo and conditioner bar. A 2 in 1 some may say. To me, the scent reminds me of a mixture of Lilies, Jasmine and musk. A weird yet slightly intoxicating mix. Floral but with that sort can’t put my finger on it undertone to it. If you are a fan of Lush then you may know this scent through the Lust/Flying Fox products that are sold at Lush. My hair is weird with bars from Lush so when I find one I stick to it so I’m intrigued to see how my hair gets on with this one. My hair normally needs a lot of moisture so it may enjoy this one. I will get back to you when I have properly tried it. I think that from scent alone, my friend Michelle would love this bar. Priced at £9.

It's Time To Strengthen That Core & Massage It! | Lush New Core Massage Bars 2023 (True Romance & Turmeric Latte) First Impressions

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I saw recently that Lush had some new Massage Bars out so I decided to go into store and check them out and talk to you all about them today.

Lush have recently updated their range of Massage Bars which included creating a new curated range for certain stores (which means that certain stores can curate a selection of massage bars from the range to be sold at their store. These include Karma, Celebrate, Junk, Sex Bomb and many others) and adding some new core massage bars to all stores.

The two new massage bars that have been added to all stores are True Romance and Turmeric Latte.

A group of oval shaped light golden baton massage bars with a black rectangular label that says turmeric latte massage bar lush I'm white font one a bright ba ground

True Romance:

Ingredients:

Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Perfume, Jasmine Absolute, Neroli Oil, Osmanthus Absolute, Rose Oil, Argan Oil, Rose Clay, *Benzyl Alcohol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Citral, Citronellol, *Eugenol, *Farnesol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, *Limonene, *Linalool.

If you have experienced The Comforter? Spa Treatment then you may recognise this scent from the scrub and massage that is offered within the treatment. To me, the main scent that comes through the most is the Rose. To me, the Jasmine and Neroli are background notes and maily help the Rose and Osmanthus to pop through more. Lush have a fair amount of Rose scents such as Rose Jam but to me this a sort of more fruity with a touch of powdery Rose than a sweet Rose (eg Rose Jam) which is probably due to the Osmanthus. The Cocoa and Shea Butters mixed with the Argan Oil help to create a nourishing oil that sinks into the skin quickly which I adore. This bar melts quite well onto the skin which makes for the best massage bar as it stops you from trying to warm the bar for ages to get any of the skin softening oils to come out. I think this product would be amazing for anyone who wants a at home spa experience or a body product to help them relax at night. It would also be a great additional gift for something like a birthday or Mothers Day. For example, pair it with a Rose Jam Shower Gel and a The Comforter Bubble Bar and you’ve got the perfect package for someone who needs a bit of me time. I think that I would give this a 8/10. I think that because I’ve experienced the scrub and massage aspect of the treatment through a Bloggers Event I just have some memories attached to that and thus think that I prefer that a tiny bit more to the massage bar as the scrub/massage bar is a bit more powerful in regards to scent but I still think that its an amazing Massage Bar. Priced at £11.

Turmeric Latte:

Ingredients:

Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Perfume, Tonka Absolute, Benzoin Resinoid, Vanilla Absolute, *Anise Alcohol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Benzyl Cinnamate, *Cinnamal, Coumarin, Eugenol, *Limonene.

If you have read my blog for a while then you will know that I absolutely adore Turmeric Latte from Lush. Am I annoyed that the Bath Bomb has been discontinued? Maybe. Did I get as many Turmeric Latte bombs through the Lush Boxing Day Sale as soon as I heard that this Massage Bar was being released? Maybe (including asking Alex to get me a couple at their local store in Sunderland). Am I  slightly ecstatic that this product has been released? Maybe.

This Massage Bar is very true to its scent. Just the right balance of creamy, sweet and spicy without being too cloying. To me the smokiness that I believe is created from the Benzoin comes through straight away and then within seconds of this scent coming through the Vanilla and Tonka blast their way through onto the skin. To me, this scent of this massage bar lasts quite a long time on the skin compared to a couple of the others which blends into the skin a bit too quickly for my liking. Again, I think that Lush have perfected the base of the Massage Bars as the oil comes out quite quickly but also sinks into the skin quite quickly. I’ve been using this on a night recently when its been cold and I love it as it just warms me up but I think that I will mainly be using this bar as a sort of solid body lotion to go along with all of the other Turmeric Latte scented products that I own.  (I think the only one I don’t own is the Turmeric Latte scented Hair Conditioner). I think that this bar is quite universal and would be perfect as a gift for anyone who needs a little bit of moisture adding to their body. Okay, I may be bias but I am going to give this 10/10. I am trying out the Curated Massage Bars soon so I may regret giving it a 10/10 but ah well. Priced at £9.

Garnier Body Superfood Aloe Vera & Magnesium Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! Recently, I have been trying out the Body Superfood Aloe Vera and Magnesium from Garner. It was on offer at the time and I have been trying to get a little bit more into Magnesium lately so I thought that today I would talk to you all about this product and my thoughts on it after using it for the past two months.

A zoomed in photo of a blue and white cylindrical tub filled with white liquid cream with a blue and white label that says garmoer body superfood magnesium in black font on a bright background

‘Garnier Body Superfood Aloe Vera & Magnesium is formulated for normal to dry skin and enriched with two powerful key ingredients!

Aloe Vera is known for its powerful hydrating nutrients and cooling properties & Magnesium-PCA is a trending natural-origin mineral known for its soothing properties.
This powerful cream leaves the skin feeling instantly hydrated, up to 10 layers deep of the epidermis, for results you can feel and provides up to 48 hour moisturising.

With ingredients of 96% Natural Origin, this product is a vegan formula. All Garnier products globally are officially approved by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny Programme, the leading organisation working to end animal testing worldwide, and the recognised Cruelty Free Gold Standard.’ - Garner UK.

List Of Ingredients:

AQUA / WATER, GLYCERIN, ALCOHOL DENAT., ISOPROPYL PALMITATE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, MAGNESIUM PCA, AMMONIUM POLYACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CITRIC ACID, LINALOOL, GERANIOL, CITRONELLOL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE.

The first thing that I noticed when I opened the tub up was the scent. Scent is an essential feature to any beauty product in the culture that we live in today. When I sniffed the small amount that I had scooped out of the tub to test, the first note that my nose picked up was a very fresh note with a slightly citrus based background. I guess that this was the Aloe as I have noticed that in the products that I have used in the past that feature natural Aloe normally have a sort of fresh but citrus note to them. After applying and sniffing my body, the best way to describe the overall scent was spa like. You know the sort of watery yet fresh scent that you get when you first walk into a spa? Well imagine that but a little bit stronger with a touch for citrus blending into the background just to help everything sing a little bit more. The scent lingers on the skin for quite some time but pairs beautifully with more scents. I love this as it means I can apply it on first thing, layer it with the scent that I’m feeling that day and be on my way.

The texture of this product is amazing. Light but still moisturising which I adore as sometimes if I’m not feeling great or if I’m in a rush then sometimes I don’t want something super thick all over my body but as my skin is normally on the dry side I still want my body care products to be super nourishing to the point that I still want to feel soft and smooth the next day which this body cream definitely does.

I know what you’re all thinking? Does the Magnesium work and actually do anything for the body and I’m here to answer that burning question. In my personal opinion after using this product that features Magnesium-PCA in quite regularly for the past two months, I can say that it does. I suffer from pain quite easily due to having existing back pain and tension pain from suffering with Anxiety and every time that I have used this whilst being in some form of pain, I have noticed some difference. Some may say that it might just be a placebo effect but to me if something helps me to not be in pain so much I am more than fine to use it religiously. I have normally noticed that within an hour of massaging this body product into my skin after a long day or when I’m in quite a lot of pain I notice a difference and am able to relax a little bit more. The best way to use this product personally is to massage a good amount of the cream into slightly damp skin post bath/shower and leave it to nourish the body for a couple of minutes at most.

Would I buy it again? Definitely, I got it on offer for half price at Superdrug which meant that I got a big tub of this for under a fiver which to me is amazing value for money especially as you get 380ml. As a little bit goes a long way, this tub alone lasts for ages. I love how the scent is light enough to be layered with other fragrances and how quick it absorbs into the skin. I do also love the effects of the Magnesium used in this product as it helps to relax me when I need it and that it’s vegan which is always a plus point. My only problem with this product is the packaging. In my opinion, as it is a quite a heavy tub it makes it a bit clunky to travel with. I think that a travel size could be a good idea for Garner as it means that I could just whack it in my bag and take it on the go. I would give this product an 8.9/10.

Lush Valkyrie Conditioner Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about a cool conditioner from Lush that I have been using for a while now.

A cylindrical plastic clear bottle with a cylindrical black lid filled with pale pink thick liquid with a black rectangular label that says valkyrie conditioner lush in white font on a white rectangular blanket with a blue-green leaf pattern all over it on a bright background

List Of Ingredients:

Water (Aqua) Chickpea Cream Cetearyl Alcohol Ethyl Macadamiate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Perfume Propylene Glycol Behentrimonium chloride Fresh Grapefruit Juice Titanium Dioxide Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane Rose Absolute Rose Oil Geranium Oil Sicilian Lemon Oil Aquafaba Hydrolyzed Wheat Gluten Arginine HCL Lysine HCL Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) Cetrimonium Chloride Phenoxyethanol Benzyl Alcohol Citronellol Coumarin Geraniol *Limonene Colour 17200 Colour 45410:2]

Let's start with the scent of the product. If you're a big fan of Lush, then you will know that most products that contain Rose Absolute, Rose Oil and Sicilian Lemon Oil, make up the very well known Rose Jam scent, and this product is no different. If you're not a big fan of Lush, then imagine a bright yet quite sweet Rose scent, Not too florally with almost slight berry notes to it compared to the light sort of Rose that you might know that normal has powdery notes to it. This conditioner has that scent to it. However, when I smell it through the lid, I almost get a slight sort of plastic smell to it before any of the Rose scent comes through. This may be due to the Chickpea Cream mixing with everything else, or the Wheat Gluten, I'm not sure but it goes away as soon as you apply it to your hair. The scent does also last a long time post using the product, as I could smell it in my hair for the next two days!]

Two cylindrical plastic bottles with black cylindrical lids. One filled with dark pink liquid and one filled with light pink thick liquid one with a black label that says rose jam shower gel in white font and one that says valkyrie conditioner in white font next to a big black bottle with a black label that says rose jam body spray in white font on a bright background

The texture of the Valkyrie when squeezing it out of the bottle, is quite thick. Thick to the point that it takes a good amount of squeezing to get any product out. However, when you apply water to this conditioner, Valkyrie becomes a luxurious sort of serum in my opinion. I guess, kind of like the new Shower Gel formula in kind of a way. Even though, it may not feel like there is much in your hair due to the lightness of the formula, you definitely know that its doing something to your hair, as soon as the scent hits your nose!

As I bleach and dye my hair a mixture of three different shades of Pink, I knew that I needed something that could sort my hair out. As soon as I saw this product on Lush UK's website, I knew that I had to try it to see if it would save my hair from total destruction. I normally do my hair on a night and then leave it to air dry. When I woke up after using Valkyrie the night before, my hair felt amazing. It felt a mixture of thick, shiny and healthy, which was a miracle for someone who has been slowly killing their hair to feel and look fabulous. I do try to not use this all the time, as I think that if I did then personally it might make me hate any and every product that contains Rose for the near future, so I use this once a week which is more than enough for me, as I use American Cream and sometimes Candy Rain as more as everyday conditioners. (I may do reviews on them within the future.)

Overall, I would give this a 9.5/10. My only problem is that it is an exclusive to Liverpool Spa, therefore, you have to either make a online order or make a trip to Lush Liverpool Spa to try it. If it was in all stores then I would buy it for the rest of my lifetime!
