Shopping Until I Drop… A Bath Bomb Accidentally | Lush Boxing Day Sale At Lush White Rose

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently managed to go to the Lush Boxing Day Sale at Lush White Rose in Leeds so I thought that today I would talk to you all about my experience and what I managed to pick up!

A wide angled photo of a rectangular stone store with a black strip at the top with lush in white font with a glass rectangular window below with the power of smelling good in black font on a. White background on a bright background

Myself and Luke managed to grab a taxi on the morning of Boxing Day and head to White Rose Shopping Centre. This didn’t take long and even the taxi driver commented on how quiet the roads were which was unusaual for them!

We arrived at White Rose, thanked the taxi driver and headed to Lush. We got to near Lush and was told to join the queue which we did. Sadly Luke sometimes struggles with queues due to use a cane and trying to manage the narrow barriers and getting their cane caught underneath them sometimes. We did tell the staff who were managing the queues this and was ignored. Luke decided to just carry on as the staff may have not heard them and it was a busy day (I did instantly message White Rose when this happened). We joined the second queue to the store and after a while the lovely Jas found us and escorted us to the store which meant that we could skip the queue which was very kind of them to do so and that Luke could save some energy trying to manage the queue with this cane and enjoy the sale and shopping at Lush White Rose.

We had a chat with the wonderful Jas before Jason greeted us and very kindly told us that they would be guiding us around the store to ensure that we had an amazing shopping experience. We’ve done Lush Boxing Day Sales in the past and it can be overwhelming and a little bit dangerous for both myself and Luke. Luke has been barged into and nearly had his cane knocked out of his hand before and I’ve been elbowed a fair few times in previous years for being near those gloriously pink tinted Snow Fairy products.
Jason guided us around the store beautifully and went through every product that was on sale including some goodies that weren’t a part of the Christmas Range and instead were a part of the Retro Wall which surprised me as I wasn’t expecting anything from the wall to go on sale!

After perusing the shelves for a while and grabbing products for both of us, we made our way over to the tills where Jas found us again to escort us to the tills to ensure that we weren’t struggling waiting in the queue which was really amazing of them to do.
We chatted whilst the lovely Sarah packed our bags and talked to us about the Christmas Range as a whole! I would like to also add that the lovely Lorna was an absolute star. When it comes to access for trips and events such as the Lush Boxing Day Sale, I like to email ahead and when I did this year for the Sale, Lorna helped in every way possible including asking what accessibility features would work best for myself and Luke and planned according to our needs. This is amazing as I stated at the beginning of the post that we have both had some mixed experiences doing Lush Sales in various different shops and knowing what to expect beforehand and getting some help beforehand just takes a bit of weight off myself and Luke and helps us to have a great day out shopping. Lorna was even so lovely to let us check out the Lunar New Year Range before it launched to stores and online. (It’s out by the time this post will be live so go check it out if you can).

Time To Pop Into The Bath & Have The Funfair Ride Of Your Life | Lush Kitchen September Shower Box 2024

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently managed to grab the Lush Kitchen Shower Box when I was in Lush Leeds Spa the other week so I thought that today I would talk to you all about it!

Lush have now released a Shower version of their very well known Kitchen Subscription Box. This has been released for those who love Lush and want to enjoy the Kitchen Box but haven’t been able to in the past due to not owning a bath tub.

A photo of a faded out black and white bag behind a rectangular light brown box opened from the top revealing a white rectangular card that says lush kitchen shower box, funfair, carnival and other things in gold font behind a box full of white eco pops with a cylindrical green shower gel bottle filled with greenish red shower gel with a black cylindrical lid with a white rectangular label with cherry pop in red and green font with lush shower exclusive in black font next to a milk bottle shaped soap in white with a silver glitter top next to a cone shaped bag filled with blue powder with a white label with shape shifting slime in white font behind two cylindrical plastic pots, one filled with pink body lotion with a white circular label with creamy candy body lotion in pink font and the other a silver and green scrub with a white circular label with supwrworld unknown shower scrub in black font on a bright background

Cherry Pop Shower Gel

Pop this bottle open to have the fruitiest Shower of your life!

Ingredients:

Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycerine, Cherry Infusion, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Organic Agave Syrup, Balsamic Vinegar, Labdanum Resinoid, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Lime Oil, Almond Essential Oil, Lactic Acid, Eugenol, Limonene, Colour 17200, Colour 45350, Colour 45410, Colour 42090.

When I received this shower gel, I was a bit confused as it looked both green and red but as the theme of the box is funfairs, I guessed this was a thematic choice. The scent of this is gorgeous. The Cherry, Cinnamon, Lime, Labdanum and Almond mix together to create a scent that felt familiar but a bit unusual at the same time. After inhaling the gel for a few minutes, it clicked and I realised that the Shower Gel smelt like a mixture of Cherry Soda and sour Cherry sweets. Some Cherry Sodas/Cherry Pops do tend to contain Lime, Almond and Cinnamon so it makes sense but I think the unusual aspect when I’ve been smelling it comes from the Labdanum which provides a hint of woodiness to my nose which threw me off a bit but honestly the Labdanum helps to make everything well pop. I love that Lush have released a Cherry scent and I think for maybe Valentines Day it could be turned into a Cherry shaped Shower Jelly or Bath Bomb with the same name?

Shape Shifting Slime

Shape is a construct and its time to tear it apart with this slime!

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Sodium Alginate, Peppermint Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Vetiver Oil. Cedarwood Oil, Water, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Cocamidopropyl Betaline, Tin Oxide, Silica, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume, CI 77491, CI 42090.

Shape Shifting Slime is a brand new product from Lush. The best way to describe it is a Powdered Slime which when mixed with water froths up before your very eyes to create a slime that can be used to wash yourself with. This product truly feels like Lush have created a magic trick for everyone to perform in the bathroom to make shower time a real delight!

This Slime contains Peppermint, Grapefruit, Vetivert and Cedarwood which if you’re a big fan of Lush you may know better as Intergalactic from Lush. I adore Intergalactic and think that it’s a beautiful scent. This Slime smells exactly like Intergalactic but to me I can detect the Grapefruit and Vetivert a little bit more in this than I can on the other Intergalactic products. I love the feeling of this Slime as I wasn’t expecting it to be on the moisturising side but as this contains Sodium Alginate, when I rinse it off my skin I noticed that my body felt super soft and nourished. Honestly I’ve used a fair few of Lush’s Slimes and I’m forever amazed at how well they perform! I have a lot of Intergalactic at this point because it’s an amazing scent. It was one of the scents that helped me recover after having COVID and especially at this time of year when colds start kicking in. If you are a student at the moment, get any of the Intergalactic Shower products such as the Gel or the brand new Scrub or Soap for when Freshers Flu kicks in but still have to go to lectures, it will help you feel less groggy!

Milky Bar Soap

It’s time to take the milk bath trend to the next level!

Ingredients:

Water, Propylene Glycol, Rapeseed Oil; Coconut Oil, Soya Milk, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Patchouli Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Glycerine, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Sodium Bicarbonate, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume.

If you have been a fan of Lush then you may remember this blast from the past! This Soap not only looks amazing conceptually but also smells amazing too! Milky Bar Soap contains Soya Milk, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Patchouli Oil and Brazilian Orange Oil. I know that this doesn’t sound like a lot of ingredients for a soap but let me reassure you in saying that this soap packs a punch! The Patchouli and Orange combine to create a slightly herbal yet quite clean scent that reminds me of getting into bed after a long day.  This soap also contains Soya Milk which makes it super nourishing to the skin. I have dry skin so I have been using this recently and it has made my skin feel super soft! This Soap also shares the same scent as Toby’s Magic Cow so if you love the scent of that bath bomb then you will love this too!

Superworld Unknown Body Scrub

This scrub will take you to places unknown!

Ingredients:

Caster Sugar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Almond Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Perfume, Lime Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Cassia Oil, Neroli Oil, Rose Absolute, Sandalwood Oil, Cocoa Absolute, Benzoin Resinoid, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Cornstarch, Talc, Lauryl Betaine, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 15850:1, Colour 14700, Colour 77491

When I saw that this box was centralised around funfairs and carnivals I was hoping for something Superworld Unknown because Lush have always marketed as a perfume inspired around carnivals so believe me when I say that I am delighted that there is something Superworld Unknown in this Box! All of the essential oils in this Scrub combine together to create a sort of slightly creamy Cola scent with a slightly floral undertone which I really enjoy. Can we tell I like Cola scents? This scrub is a sugar style scrub from lush which means it’s more on the putty side of texture rather than a loose scrub texture like say Orange Scrub from Lush. Lush’s Sugar Scrubs tend to be better suited towards sensitive skin or those who don’t want a really gritty scrub due to the inclusion of Oils and Butters such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil that is included in this Superworld Unknown Scrub! If you still have the Mario Gel from the Super Mario Bros Move X Lush collab then these two would go perfectly together for when you want a comforting Shower in the colder weather that we are slowly getting into now that it’s Autumn. I’d definitely pick up a massive tub if it ever went into stores!

Creamy Candy Body Lotion

Who doesn’t want their skin feeling as soft as freshly spun candy floss?

Ingredients:

Orange Flower Water, Almond Oil, Water, Glycerine, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil, Stearic Acid, Illipe Butter, Triethanolamine, Vanilla Absolute, Tincture of Benzoin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, *Benzyl Cinnamate, Farnesol, Linalool, Perfume, Colour 17200

We all need a Lotion but now that it’s getting into Autumn, we really all need a lotion and what a better lotion to be using than one from a Lush Kitchen Box that smells of all things Candy?! If you are a fan of the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar from Lush then you will adore this lotion as they share the same scent. If you haven’t smelt Creamy Candy then imagine the smell of Candy Floss mixed with a bit of Vanilla to give it a slightly creamy base but without being too sickly sweet . Not only does this smell divine but it also feels divine on the skin due to the infusion of Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil and Cocoa Butter that help to keep the skin feeling super soft and smooth. Now I do have dry skin but I also do enjoy my lotions and body care products to sink into my skin easily and boy does this do that. I applied it and within a couple of minutes the lotion had sank into my skin which is sore. I hate my skin feeling greasy and sometimes I’m in a rush to get out of the house and this hasn’t failed me yet when I’ve applied it in a hurry. I think if you love anything creamy and Vanilla but want something that isn’t just pure Vanilla which let’s be honest can be one dimensional sometimes then you will adore this!

Did you manage to grab this Lish kitchen Box? Will you be subscribing now that there is a Shower version of the Box? Let me know!
