#AD | Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask from Lush Cosmetics

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I was recently kindly sent the Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask from Lush and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

A zoomed in photo of a open circular shallow clear pot filled with neon blue face mask with white pieces of ground rice next to a circular clear lid with a neon blue circular label with don't look at me lush fresh face mask in white font on a bright background

Ingredients:

Kaolin, Fresh Organic Lemon Juice, Glycerine, Organic Rice Syrup, Ground White Rice, Organic Silken Tofu, Murumuru Butter, Bentone gel, Rice Milk, Grapefruit Oil, Neroli Oil, Water (Aqua), Citral, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume, Colour 42090

I have tried this Fresh Face Mask but it was a long while ago due to Lush releasing other fabulous Face Masks after Don't Look At Me so it was fabulous that I was retrying this one as it felt like I was trying it for the first time all over again.

Lush Fresh Face Masks are designed to be kept refrigerated due to the plethora of the fresh ingredients that are in each of the fresh Face Masks. Each of the Fresh Face Masks including Don't Look At Me should be used within 28 days of receiving your Fresh Face Masks for the ultimate skincare experience!

The smell of Don't Look At Me is amazing and hits you right in the face when you open thie lid. The Grapefruit and Neroli combine to create a truly delicious scent. I am a bit hesitant when it comes to Neroli as sometimes it can be a bit overpowering but it works beautifully in this face mask as it adds a bit of depth to the Grapefruit. The combination always makes me think of warm weather and holidays due to it being so uplifting and delicious.

Don't Look At 'Me contains Ground White Rice which is used as a scrub within this face mask. The Ground White Rice helps to exfoliate the skin without irritating the skin too much which I adore because I do enjoy a light scrub when it comes to my face. My skin has a tendency of deciding when it wants to behave and when it doesn't so when it isn't behaving Ground White Rice is a great way to exfoliate dead skin without causing my skin to feel more irritated. When my skin feels and looks  irritated I feel a little bit more self conscious.

Silken Tofu plays a big part in creating the super rich texture of Don't Look At Me alongside Rice Milk and Glycerine. They also help to moisturise the skin and ensure that it stays soft and supple. After the Ground White Rice has done its thing it is best to ensure that you are putting moisture back into the skin and trust me these three ingredients will definitely do that! I was a bit intrigued when I saw Silken Tofu was included as ingredient in this face mask but it makes sense when you look into it. Silken Tofu is known for containing a plethora of Vitamins  such as Vitamin K and Calcium and is rich in Protein which can help to nourish the skin and help the skin barrier.

I applied this onto my face for ten minutes and left it to do its wonderful thing. After the ten minutes were complete, before removing the face mask, I worked the grains of Ground White Rice into my skin for a quick minute to ensure that it exfoliated my skin. I slowly removing the beautifully blue coloured Face Mask off my skin with warm water and a face cloth working in circular motions for a quick second especially around my troublesome areas and facial hair and then a swiping motion.

After washing the mask off, I could notice a good difference in what my skin looked and felt like before using Don't Look At Me compared to after. My skin felt smooth, soft and hydrated due to all of the lovely ingredients that are in Don't Look At Me. Furthermore, I've been using Don't Look At Me constantly for the past two weeks now and I've noticed more of a radiant glow to my skin which I have adored. I think the radiant glow has come mainly from the face mask helping to hydrate and protect my skin but also from the Fresh Lemon Juice that is also in Don't Look At Me.

If you're looking for a great Summer Face Mask that not only smells utterly gorgeous and refreshing but helps your skin to feel and look more nourished alongside giving it a radiant glow then I think that you will love Don't Look At Me. If you're also looking for a Face Mask that will help dry skin look and feel a little bit less rubbish without being stripping like a lot of Face Masks can be for some then I think that don't Look At Me may be a great face mask for you to dabble into.

Thanks again to the wonderful team at Lush for sending me the Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask.

Lush have just released some lovely brand new fresh skincare products that include new Fresh Face Masks such as Nutkins, Coconut Shie and Hanami alongside brand new cleansers such as Biomic and Koji Paste. I am slowly trying out some of the brand new products so so keep an eye out as I will be posting blog posts about them when I have fully tried them out.

Thanks for reading!

The Body Shop Christmas 2022 Launch Event At York Coppergate & Range First Impressions

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I was kindly invited alongside Luke to attend the launch event of The Body Shop Christmas Range at the York Coppergate store and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

A zoomed in wide shot of two cylindrical shot glass bottles filled with clear liquid with white labels, one saying the body shop spiced orange eat and one saying the body shop wild pine eat in black font on a bright background

We started the event by finding the store. Now because my brain is a mess, I completely forgot where the store was but after a while, myself and Luke managed to find it.

We entered the superb store and was greeted by the wonderful staff at The Body Shop York Coppergate and started chatting. I grabbed a glass of Apple Juice and a Mince Pie because well is there any other way to get into the festive spirit?

After this, the wonderful staff started to tell us both all about the two new ranges such as that the Spiced Orange range contains community fair trade organic Aloe Vera from Mexico. Whilst the staff were telling us all about the ranges, we were given the correlating products to try.

When I tried some of the Spiced Orange Body Butter, the first note that I got from the scent was deep spices. I am glad about this as I saw that the notes were Orange, Spices and Vanilla which made me think that the Vanilla would be in your face but this definitely wasn’t the case when I sniffed it. The few spices that I’d say that are the centre of this scent are Cinnamon and Ginger which helps to create a sort of resinous sort of scent. These also help to cut through the Orange for me and stop it from being too similar to the Satsuma range that everyone knows and loves. I have smelt similar scents from other brands and they seem to have a sort of sick scented note to them for some reason. I am glad that the Spiced Orange range from The Body Shop doesn’t have this note to it.

A birds eye view of a range of products including cylindrical tall bottles filled with dark orange liquid and circular pots filled with white cream all with a white label that says spiced orange the body shop in black font on a bright background

A zoomed in photo of a white hand holding a circular metal silver pot of white creamy body butter with a white label that says spiced orange the body shop body butter in black font on a bright badckgtorund

My favourite products in the Spiced Orange range have to be the Shower Gel and Body Butter. I do love the idea of a bath bomb but I seem to notice that with The Body Shop, different products in the same range smell slightly different due to things such as additional oils and butters. I just love a Body Butter and the spices seem to come through quite a bit in it and I love a Shower Gel that I can put in the bathroom and use all the time on those cold Winter mornings.

After we tried the products briefly, the staff then started to discuss the Wild Pine range.

Wild Pine comes in a plethora of products to suit everyones needs this festive season. Whether this be a Shower Gel for those who want a quick wash, a bath bomb fror those who want to relax in the scent and a oil to cream body product for those who that want to feel nourished from the outside in.

A close up of two cylindrical tall clear shower gel bottles filled with dark green gel with a white label that says wild pine shower gel the body shop in black font on a bright background

Again, I was slightly hesitant when I heard that TBS were coming out with a Wild Pine range for Christmas as when I think of Pine I instantly think of those little tree shaped car air fresheners. That’s why I was so surprised when I finally smelt the range as it smelt completely different from those little car air fresheners.

To me, the Wild Pine range smelt very fresh and watery., I guess if I was to sum the scent up, id say that its the scent of a frozen lake in the middle of Winter that’s surrounded by a cluster of Pine Trees . Whereas Spiced Orange is warm with a touch of citrus, Wild Pine is cool with a touch of freshness. I think my favourite product of this range was the Body Butter.

A close up of a circular silver metal pot filled with white cream with a silver circular lid with a white label with wild pine body butter the body shop in black font on a bright background

After we had smelt and tried out both ranges, the lovely staff went through all of the advent calendars that The Body Shop have on offer this year. This year, TBS have three different advent calendars ranging in prices to suit everyones. Box Of Wishes is priced at £55 and contains a plethora of travel sized goodies for the face and body such as the Vitamin E Quench Sheet Mask 15ml and Almond Milk Shower Cream 60ml  , Box Of Wonders is priced at £95 and contains a mixture of goodies such as the Vitamin C Glow Sheet Mask 18ml and Avocado Body Scrub 50ml and Box Of Wishes and Wonders Ultimate Advent Calendar is priced at £145 which contains a handful of full sized products such as Himalayan Charcoal Skin Clarifying Night Peel 30ml, Edelweiss Liquid Peel 100ml and Boost Exfoliating Hand Wash 250ml.

After this, we chatted for a bit, grabbed more drinks and food, grabbed some photos and made our way round the wonderful store sniffing everything that we could find. We checked out the new Edelweiss range which helps the skin to feel strong and youthful and works on the skin just like how Retinol does, the well loved Vitamin C range which now has a few new products such as the Vitamin C Glow Revealing Serum 30ml and the Tea Tree range.

We then carried on and looked at the revamped fragrances that The Body Shop have launched in the past few months. I was actually looking for a birthday present for Abbey and I know that she loves anything Rose so I decided to pick her up the Rebel Rosebud Body Mist 100ml which I smelt whilst I was in store and loved myself. Luke said that the scent reminded him of Riosé Wine…

A close up of a long rectangular glass bottle filled with light pink liquid with a white label that says rebel rosebud body mist the body shop in black font on a bright background

Following on from this, we checked out the Hair section. I love their Ginger range and saw that they had released a new product within the range. Ginger Hair and Scalp Scrub 240ml is perfect for dry, flaky and sensitive scalps and leaves hair feeling moisturised and brand new. I was intrigued by this as well that screams my hair type and I love anything that is Ginger scented. Now that I’m typing this up, I kind of wish that I had asked if I could get a sample of it or something to try out especially with suffering from trichotillomaina which can leave my hair feeling dry, irritated and everything in-between. The other new product that was in the corner of my eye was the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave-In Conditioner 400ml which curly and coily hair. I actually had a quick look and realised that this was a completely brand new hair range for TBS. I didn’t try it in store but I did smell it and it smelt divine.

The final range that Luke and I had a look at was the Wellness range. The Wellness range comprises of three sub-ranges. Boost, Breathe and Sleep.

Boost contains Grapefruit and Bergamot Essential Oils and helps to well boost yourself when you need it with all it’s zesty and uplifting oils and scent. I did like this scent but I did think that it could do with being a little bit stronger for my liking as I like my zesty scents to pretty much punch me in the face. My favourite Boost product from sniffing them all in the store is the Boost Happy Hand Cream 30ml. I am forever in need of hand creams due to biting my fingers quite a bit due to my Anxiety getting quite intense from time to time.

The Breathe range contains Rosemary and Eucalyptus Oils to help you well breathe when you need to just take a moment out of a busy day or life and just give yourself a few moments to breathe and ground yourself or for when you have a cold and are having trouble breathing. I love this scent. It has took me a while to get used to as I sometimes relate Eucalyptus to Pub Toilets for some peculiar reason but I really like it. The Eucalyptus isn’t too strong and the Rosemary gives off a good amount of its resinous scent. My favourite product from this range is the Breathe Calm Balm as it helps me to relax and is travel friendly which is perfect for someone on the go like myself.

The Sleep range is for those who have trouble sleeping and contains Lavender and Vetiver Essential Oils. I quite like how the Vetiver adds depth and cuts through some of the Lavender to ensure that it isn’t too cloying. My favourite product from this range is the Sleep Calming Pillow Mist 100ml as it is travel friendly and I can spray it on my pillow and sheets when I need a little bit of help to get to sleep.

We finished looking around and a wild Michelle appeared to help us get back to the train station and get home. She sniffed some of the products and loved the Spiced Orange range. We said our goodbyes, grabbed our products and goodie bags and headed for the station.

Have you tried either of the new ranges? Let me know down below.

Thanks to the staff at the York Coppergate branch for inviting me along to the event and for being amazing.

Preserving My Youthful Self In Some Uber Lush Products | Lush New Self-Preserving Products 2022 - Ultrabland, Mask Of Magnaminty & Enzymion

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I recent6l was gifted some of the new Self Preserving products from the lovely PR team at Lush and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it.

Three cylindrical black pots all on their side with the lid showing, all with black labels and white font. One saying ultrabland self-preserving cleanser, one with mask of magnanimity face and body mask and one saying Enzymion self-preserving moisturiseron a long rectangular light brown shelf on a bright background

What is Self-Preserved?

Our skin is home to helpful microflora that defend against invading bacterial pathogens. At Lush we use minimal preservatives in our products when we have to, and over the decades have been working hard to remove preservatives from products wherever we can.

Made from butters, oils and essential oils without preservatives, the new self-preserving producrs have a slightly richer formula and are just as effective with all the goodness. They are best used fresh, within 6 months.’ - Lush UK.

Ultrabland Self-Preserving Cleanser

Almond Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Water (Aqua), Rose Water, Fresh Iris Extracted in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Glycerine, Glyceryl Stearate, Tincture of Benzoin, *Benzyl Alcohol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Benzyl Cinnamate

This Cleanser is more of a balm texture that turns into a sort of hybrid of a cream and an oil to me. I have been using it recently as the first part of a double cleanser and a night time style cleanser. As I have quite dry skin, this cleanser works amazingly for me. It cleanses my skin but doesn’t strip it like a lot of other cleansers seem to do and leave my skin feeling soft and supple which honestly is always the goal.

I did see Shea Coulee use this in a video and ever since I have been humming and ahhing about purchasing it and using it so I was more than ecstatic to be gifted it. Now that I know that my skin loves it I will definitely be using it more and more. If you have more normal skin then this would be a great cleanser to use during the colder months

The scent and self-preserving factor mainly comes from the Honey and Rose Water. These two combine to create a slightly fresh and sweet scent which is great especially at night when you don’t want to use products with too much of a stimulating or awakening scent.

Mask Of Magnaminty Self-Preserving Face & Body Mask

Honey, Kaolin, Bentone gel, Talc, Glycerine, Ground Organic Aduki Beans, Evening Primrose Seeds, Peppermint Oil, Tagetes Oil, Vanilla Absolute, *Limonene, Perfume, Chlorophyllin

Okay, I may be a little bit bias with this product as I have been using Mask Of Magnaminty for a fair few years now.

The texture of the mask is everything. It combines all of the textures that you would want in a face mask into one. This mask starts out by vbeing slightly creamy due to the Honey and Glycerine then sets up into a form matte mask due to the talc and kaolin the longer you leave it on and then also has the scrubby texture due to the ground Aduki and Primrose Seeds.

The scent of this product is quite an unusual one. Yes it is minty but it isn’t that sort of fresh mint that is in a lot of beauty products. This mint smell has a sort of backbone to it. It sort of smells like fresh mint that has been left to dry in the sun. This is probably due to the mixture of Peppermint Oil and Vanilla Absolute.

I love how that this version is a little bit richer and more moisturising  than the non-preserving one as my skin loves anything that is buttery and nourishing. As I have lactose intolerance, I can end up having dry yet acne prone skin and this mask definitely does the trick due the mix of humectants and exfoliates. If you also get acne due to stress or hormones and want a mask that you can whack on and forget about for a while then I would definitely recommend this one. (It’s also green so if you want a mask to enjoy with a friend on a fun night in then I’d definitely recommend this one!)

Enzymion Self-Preserving Moisturiser

Fresh Lemon Infusion, Organic Jojoba Oil, Glycerine, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Stearic Acid, Perfume, Propylene Glycol, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil, Almond Oil, Water (Aqua), Wheatgerm oil, Triethanolamine, Tangerine Oil, Lime Oil, Fresh Aloe Gel, Freshly Juiced Lemon, Freshly Juiced Papaya, Cetearyl Alcohol, *Citral, *Citronellol, *Limonene, *

Anyone that knows me will know that I love anything that Is full of butters when it comes to skincare and that I love Lemons. I mean I love Lemons a lot!

The texture of this moisturiser to me is a bit of a weird one. It’s slightly creamy and quite liquid based in the tub but when you apply it to the skin, it becomes a bit more like a balm. I guess in essence it’s the opposite of Ultrabland to me. This may be due to the mixture of Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Evening Primrose, Wheatgwrm and Aloe.

To me the scent was amazing. When I mixed it into my skin, I definitely got a freshly picked citrus vibe from it. I could definitely smell the mixture of Papaya, Lemon and Tangerine and honestly I loved it. I kind of wished that Lush did more products with this scent especially for the Summer. This is definitely a product that is meant for Summer.

Would I buy any of these again? Definitely. I mean I’ve bought MOM plenty of times and will carry on purchasing it. Once I have finished Ultrabland I may look into the other cleansers at Lush and come back to it in the colder months or when I’m feeling more confident (aka when I want to start getting a little bit into makeup again) and wanting a good cleanser to break down makeup and I can see Enzymion becoming a Summertime staple. All in all 8.6/10 for all three items combined as a routine.

I love that these items are now self-preserving as not only will they help my skin that little bit more but will wlso keep for longer.

Lush Lucky Tiger Bath Bomb Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about the Lush Lunar New Year bath bomb 'Lucky Tiger'. I haven't done blog posts like this for a while so do bear with me as I have mainly stuck to creating first impression based posts about Lush products as it has just been a bit easier for me to create when there has been several products to discuss in one post.

A photo of a light brown wooden square box containing a bunch of spherical tiger shaped orange bath bombs with a gold glitter shimmer to them next to a portrait back card with lucky tiger in white font on a bright background

List Of Ingredients

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Alcohol Denat., Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Lavandin Oil, Siberian Fir Needle Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Elemi Oil, Water (Aqua), Titanium Dioxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, *Citral, *Citronellol, *Hydroxycitronellal, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Colour 15985:1, Colour 19140:1, Colour 77491

I first saw the spoilers for this bath bomb and as soon as I saw that it was Karma scented, I knew that I had to have it! I am also quite happy that Lush is slowly releasing a range for Lunar New Year as I know a fair few people that celebrate it and its nice to know that somewhere that I go to will have products for Lunar New Year that I can give as gifts.

If you haven't smelt Karma before then the best way to describe it is sort of a mixture between deep dark slightly smoky Patchouli, with punches of citrus mainly coming from a mix of Orange and Lemongrass and Incense. I realise that this sounds like such an odd mixture but I really enjoy it. I could also say that to my nose, it does remind me of a sort of mature Chocolate Orange scent.

The scent of this bath bomb plays on the above. To me, the Patchouli and Orange come out the most in this bomb. The Lemongrass is more subtle and if you search for it in the bomb you can kind of find it. In my opinion, the other products such as Elemi, Lavender and the Fir Needle oils boost the Patchouli and Orange more than anything. I think that out of these three, the Lavender is pretty much non-existent whereas the other two help the Orange come out a bit more. I did also realise if you left this bomb covered up and left for a day or two, the Patchouli did seem to come out a lot more.

When using this bath bomb, I noticed that it mainly turned the bath water a sort of mixture of Orange and Gold which I absolutely loved. The mixture of these two colours really uplifted my mood. The strangeness of the scent when I dropped it into the water was quite strong. I loved this as sometimes with bath bombs, I notice that the scent can be quite muted which then makes the point of using the bath bomb a bit pointless because well the point of using it is to make your bath smell gorgeous which this bomb definitely did. As mentioned above, the two most dominant scents were Patchouli and Orange and if you don't like either of this then you may not enjoy this product. Not only is this bomb gorgeous to look at, but, it is also gorgeous to use. So gorgeous to the point that I have bought multiple of these to go with my Karma perfume. It is such an amazing scent to use on a cold morning (which at the moment is every day) as it will definitely make you feel happy and uplifted whilst still evoking the feeling of Winter slightly with the Fir Needle and Patchouli Oils.

Would I buy it again? Definitely! As stated, I did buy multiples of this product due to it being out only for the duration of the Lunar New Year festivities. I think that this could be brought out as an all year round product. Well, I hope that it does. The Karma range is not only one of my favourites at Lush but many other members of the publics favourite range from Lush and it would be a shame to not bring out a bath bomb all year round with the Karma scent.

I would give this a 9/10 overall. Why am I not giving it a 10/10? The main reasons are the fact that it is limited edition so if I enjoyed it, I had to use it before Lunar New Year to ensure that I could get another to save and enjoy later on int the year which during COVID and January when it is forever cold is a bit of a pain.

Priced at £6.

Put The Lime In The Coconut | Lush Lime Bounty Body Butter Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about a brand new product from Lush that I have been loving at the moment.

Before shops were allowed to re-open, Lush released the Lime Bounty Body Butter. Sadly, I wasn't able to get it during those times, but now that shops have re-opened, I headed to the lovely Lush White Rose store and finally got my hands on it.

List Of Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Extract, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Murumuru Butter, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Triethanolamine, Persian Lime Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 45350, Colour 42090.

A photo of a large cylindrical black pot with lime bounty in large white font with lush in small white font with a white small circular white bowl filled with oval shaped green limes on a bright background

The scent of this product is sensational. The astringent Lime hits you right in the face when you open the tub which just makes you feel awake and ready to get on with your day. The Grapefruit and Lemon Oils blend together to help uplift the Lime Oil and round out the scent making it zingy and uplifting to the nose. Once the Lime has lovingly hit you in the face, the Coconut slowly comes through. This Coconut isn't an overpowering artificial scent, which sometimes appears in cosmetic products, but instead is, a well rounded slightly sweet Coconut which contrasts amazing with the luscious lime scent that is awaiting to have a party on your body.

The texture of this Body Butter is quite intriguing. To start off with, when you open the lid, you are met with what looks like Coconut Shavings, or, Desiccated Coconut, however, it is actually moisturising chunks of Shea Butter which have been made to look like strands of Coconut. When you scoop a bit of this beautiful Butter out of the tub, it is quite thick. Thick to the point that I decided to tip the tub upside down onto the lid, and nothing came out. Due to this, I expected the butter to be quite thick and although nourishing to the skin, a product that would take a long while to soak into the skin. However, this was not the case. The texture is slightly thick when scooped out of the tub, but as soon as it is applied to the skin, it becomes a ultra hydrating, instant sinking into the skin Body Butter. I absolutely adore that. I have dry skin, but sometimes waiting forever for a product to sink in just isn't for me, so, having the best of both worlds is the best thing ever for me. This Butter left my skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated all day long without any of the greasy feeling that some body products have which again is amazing for me as that residue sort of feeling can leave me feeling a bit off when I need to use my hands and such.

Would I buy this again? Definitely! This is a 9.5/10 for me. Why a 9.5? For me, I kind of wish the chunks at the top were kind of more mixed through... Having all of the shreds on top makes me not want to use it as it looks so pretty. If the chunks were more mixed through then I could enjoy the product and the chunks that little bit more. This product is priced at £7, which is affordable for a Body Butter as some other cosmetic companies charge doubler to triple for a Body Butter. Saying that, if you aren't a fan of Lime, or are allergic to Lime, like my friend Abbey is, then this product sadly isn't for you.

Lush Beauty Sleep Face Mask Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I recently got to try some of the new Beauty Sleep mask from Lush, and, I thought that today, I would talk to you all about it.

An oval purple shaped blob of thick and creamy face mask with specks of bright silver glitter embedded into it on a bright white background

List Of Ingredents:

Lemon Verbena and Valerian Root Extracted in Honey Glycerine Mullein Leaf and Linseed Decoction Kaolin Talc Ground Organic Aduki Beans Orange Blossom Honey Water Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Bentone gel Orange Flower Absolute Neroli Oil Myrrh Resinoid Lavender Oil Benzoin Resinoid Tonka Absolute Ylang Ylang Oil Organic Jojoba Oil Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Fresh Coconut Illipe butter Organic Avocado Oil Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil Evening Primrose Seeds Wheatgerm oil Fresh Lemon Juice Fresh Pineapple Juice Fresh Orange Juice Organic Cold Pressed Grapeseed Oil Water (Aqua) Titanium Dioxide Synthetic Fluorphlogopite Tin Oxide Stearic Acid Triethanolamine Cetearyl Alcohol *Benzyl Benzoate *Benzyl Cinnamate *Cinnamal *Coumarin *Farnesol *Geraniol Hydroxycitronellal *Limonene *Linalool Perfume Colour 17200 Colour 42090.

Directions To Use:

Run a warm bath, put on some relaxing music and apply this beautiful face mask to clean skin. Sit back and relax. Inhale the neroli and let the valerian and lemon verbena get to work. Once you’re feeling relaxed and ready for bed, rinse away with warm water.

The texture of this mask was a complex one for me. When I grabbed some of this mask out of the tub, it was quite creamy, but when I applied it to my skin it became quite scrubbing and matte. I haven't experienced this much with a Face Mask before, as normally scrubbing/matte based products don't tend to be as creamy as Beauty Sleep was when I applied it.

When I was washing it off, I adored the tiny scrubbing sensation that I got from removing the Aduki Beans from my face. Due to lactose based spots my skin can have a nasty reaction to abrasive scrubbing so I loved that it wasn't a harsh scrub. I also adored the softness that this product gave my face, due to the dollop of 'Gorgeous' Moisturiser that is in Beauty Sleep.

The smell of this product, was a peculiar one for me. Even though there is a few citrus based ingredients in this product, Beauty Sleep had an overwhelming smell of Lavender to me. Beauty Sleep smelt like the Lush product 'Twilight' to me. After five minutes of leaving the mask on, the product changed slightly from full on Lavender to me, to a mixture of deep Orange Flower and Lavender to me. I think if the same formula based mask came out with a more Citrus scent that was called something like I Woke Up Like This, then I would absolutely adore that. I'm just not the biggest fan of Lavender.

Would I buy this again? I'm not sure. I think I'd buy it every once in a while because I love the more softening formula to it. However, if I want a scrub based mask, I would probably stick to the ones that are already a part of my beauty routine. I think that I would use this every so often but its not a mask that, personally, I would instantly go to when I want a pamper. As I said above, if it was more citrus scented I would gravitate to it a bit more.

Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Oil Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about some of the products that I bought from Aldi.

If you have followed me for a while or know me personally, then you will know that I love Rose scented things. My friends, Abbey and Michelle can vouch for this, as, one birthday I met up with them for drinks and they could smell Rose from me before I was even near them.

The texture of this product was peculiar to me. I have used a fair few Facial Oils in my time but unlike this one, they have normally had a thin consistency to them. This one had a thick texture to it which I wasn't used to. I enjoyed the thicker consistency as it meant that there was less of a chance of the product dripping everywhere when applying it to myself.

The scent of this product is amazing. If you have read my Rose Toner post, then imagine that but a tiny little bit stronger. I love Rose scented products, therefore strong Rose scents appeal to me very highly. If you're not a fan of the powdery type of Rose scent then I don't think that you will enjoy the scent of this product that much.

I've been using this product for the last few weeks and I have loved using it. When applying it, it is thick like I have mentioned above, but when it is applied to the skin, it becomes tacky for about a minute or so before sinking into the skin quite quickly. I have noticed that this product does leave a tiny bit of a Matte finish to the skin. Keep this in mind if you don't like Matte finishing products on your face. My skin felt soft and plump after using this product. I think that my skin felt plump due to the mix of Rose Oil and Hyaluronic Acid that are in this product.

Would I buy it again? If I found it in the aisles of Aldi then yes I definitely would. As this was an Aldi Superbuy, it does mean that it is rare to find it again. I have incorporated it into my daily routine though.

Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Toner Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about some more products that I have been trying from Aldi recently.

If you have checked out my last post about the Vitamin C Hot Cloth Cleanser, then you will know that I recently went to Aldi to buy some products for Luke, and whilst I was there, I picked up some products for myself too.

A cylindrical clear bottle filled with light pink liquid with a white circular lid and a white rectangular label with lacuna healthy glow rose toner in rose gold font on a bright background

The texture of this Toner is a weird one for me. When I applied this on my hand or Cotton Pad, I could tell that it had a slightly watery feel to it. This is natural when it comes to Toners. However, when the product glided over my skin, I could feel a little bit of a more jelly like texture to the product. The best way to describe what I am rambling about is to define it more as the same texture as a water based Serum, where you can tell its watery but its thick at the same time.

The scent of this product is to die for, but then again I do love anything with Rose in. It is more of the raditional powdery Rose scent, so if you're not the biggest fan of that then you may not want to be putting this on your face that often. I love putting this on Day or Night, but the scent enveloping my senses just before bed is the best.

After using this product for several weeks, this Toner made my skin feel smooth and slightly more refreshed. It also helped my spots to reduce slightly during the process of using this for a few weeks. With skincare, it's best to use it for a long while to truly see the benefits of the products that you are using.

Would I buy it again? Yes, as I love the scent and I love what it has done to my face. I also love that you get a good amount of product within a bottle which means that I will have enough to last me a long while. If I see this within the aisles of Aldi within the future, then I will be sure to buy more of it.

Aldi Lacura Vitamin C Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about some of the items that I have been trying from Aldi lately.

I went to Aldi a while ago as Luke wanted me to pick up some goodies for him. Whilst I was there, I thought that I should pick up some things for myself, so I did!

I've been loving some of the products within Aldi's Lacura range recently so I decided to pick up some more goodies that are within the range.

I was in need of a new cleanser so I thought that I would try their Vitamin C Hot Cloth Cleanser, as I had heard great things about it from other people and I knew that I could do with getting some Vitamin C into my beauty routine due to having slightly dull skin post finishing University.

This product contains Cocoa Butter which ensures that the product has a creamy consistency to it. It also ensures that it doesn't dry out your skin, which in my experience some Cleansers have a habit of doing so. The Cocoa Butter also ensures that the product is gentle on the skin, which ensures that the product is suitable for sensitive skin too. This means that for me, it was a great Cleanser to use the day after shaving my face when stuff was still a tad sensitive.

The scent of this product is amazing. If you love anything with a Citrus kick then you will adore this Cleanser. This Cleanser has a sort of Grapefruit/Orange scent to it. When I first smelt it, the product reminded me of the Pink Grapefruit range from The Body Shop. Due to this uplifting and invigorating scent, this Cleanser is great to use first thing in the morning but I also love using it at night due to its creamy texture.

After using this product for a couple of weeks, I noticed that my skin felt smoother and felt amazing. I also believe that the Cocoa Butter helped to make my skin feel slightly more moisturised in the long run.

Would I buy this again? A thousand times yes. I love this product and have started to use it as my main everyday Cleanser within my beauty routine.
