Barry M: Aquarium - Mermaid Nail Polish Review

Meow, so today's blog post is going to be a beauty review. It is going to be about the Barry M nail polish that I bought a week or so ago. This was the first time that I have used nail polish so it may be a bit of a bad review but I hope that you enjoy this post!

So, as I have said in the Haul post, I went to Boots and bought some nail polish. The main reason for this is mainly due to wanting to try it out. Within the last month or so, I have been lusting over the Mermaid nail polish from the Aquarium range from Barry M and I finally bought it. It sounds a bit weird but I don't like to spend money on things that seem a bit pointless which includes bath products. I only buy them if I know that I like them and such which is the same for all beauty products but I plucked up the courage and finally bought the nail polish.

The nail polish is called Mermaid for a particular reason. When the sun hits this beautiful product, the nail sparkles and when it is shown at an angle a different shade of blue will appear to the eye. There is 4 shades of blue within this polish but I felt like it would be a perfect polish for the Summer as it relates to the weather being called and also relates to the beach so you win both ways. It is beautiful when the sun hits it.

As this was the first time I had ever applied a nail colour, I was a bit surprised as I wasn;t sure if the four blues would actually work. I applied a base coat and then applied the polish and then applied a top coat and realised that the colour was more within the glitter which is great but I was expecting it to be a bit more colour and less sparkle but it looked pretty good for a first time round.

I would give this a good 8.5/10. It had great sparkle but was a little bit different to what I was expecting. I think that it would be better to apply a base colour and then apply this on top for the sparkle. I loved the texture of it but I think if you applied a pale blue underneath then it would be an amazing nail polish, I think I might just try a quick dry colour next time but it is a great nail polish for a celebration/event.

I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post as I know that it has been a little bit different. Have you ever used a Barry M nail polush? If so then comment down below and tell me what you thought of it I don't think it went that bad for a first time round. I hope to see you next time for another post.
