Lush Halloween Range 2021 First Impressions

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you all about my first impressions of the new Lush Halloween 2021 Range!

A shut of a light brown rectangular bookcase filled of different bath bombs, cylindrical plastic bottles and tubs filled with neon products and circular glass lids filled with coloured sugar with a plethora of portait black cards with white writing on them of the product names such as Lord of Misrule and bat art bath bomb on a bright background

Bath Bombs:

Lord of Misrule (2021 Edition)

The Lord has returned and has had a makeover! This bath bomb that is synonymous with Lush Halloween due to it's vivid green exterior and deep wine red interior has had a makeover after spending some time reflecting during the lockdown. This year, Lord Of Misrule has been inspired by the jesters and the mischief that they have brought to many people for many centuries. This bomb contains Black Pepper, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil and Vanilla Absolute to create a spicy yet slightly creamy scent that many have described as mysterious in years gone by.

I have had this product for the past few years when it has made an entrance during the spooky times and it has definitely changed. Am I sold on the changes? Only time can tell. Do I think that the design of the bomb reminds me more of Mario Kart than a jester? Maybe. Will I still use this bomb? Of course! I also think that not only the switch of ingredients this year (from Patchouli, black Pepper, Vanilla to Black Pepper, Patchouli, Vanilla) and the change of type of Patchouli Oil has changed the scent of LOM significantly to me. I still love it but its a lot more creamy and spicy rather than spicy and creamy. As someone who loves spicy scents all year round, this slightly saddened me, however, I am still excited to see what this is like when I use it. Priced at £3.99.

Bat Art

Fly my pretties! I believe that I have mentioned this on the blog before, however, I will just give a little recap on this bomb. This bomb is not only shaped like a Bat but creates wonderful Bath Art, therefore, Lush decided to merge the two and create well Bat Art. Well that's my opinion of the background of this bomb anyway.

This bomb contains Sicilan Lemon, Red Mandarin, Rosemary and Sage Oils which creates a fragrance that to me smells of menthol and blackcurrants which I love during the colder months. I know that the description of what I just said sounds awful but trust me smell it, to me it is divine! This bomb is packed full of colour and sparkle which makes it a perfect bomb to wind down with them the Autumn is just getting a little bit too much for you! Priced at £4.50.

A photo of a selection of purple bat shaped bath bombs coated in purple, silver and black glitter in a square light brown box with a rectangular black card with bat art bath bomb in white font on a light brown square table on a bright background

Ghostie

Boo! What a wonderful name and concept for a bath bomb! This little cutie not only looks the part with its starting white and concoction of colours design but also smells the part of giving you a fright! To me, this bomb is obviously inspired to a truly friendly ghost but who knows? This bomb contains Lemongrass, Persian Lime and Sicilian Lemon Oils. This bomb also contains Popping Candy.

A landscape photo of a light brown square box filled with white ghost shaped bath bombs with red, yellow, blue and purple glitter next to a green plant next to a white and black bat print drawstring bag on a light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

To most, this has been described as an old scent in the form of You've Been Mangoed. To me, this does remind me of that old scent but amped up a bit which to some may remind them more of the Avobath scent from Lush. I can't wait to use this due to the uplifting scent, popping candy and the plethora of colours that will explode from this little ghostie. Priced at £4.50.

Punkin Pumpkin

Who doesn't love to rip out the guts of a Pumpkin? Pumpkin to me is the epitome of Autumn and Halloween!

This product contains Cinnamon Leaf, Lime, Siciian Red Mandarin and Sweet Wild Orange Oils, and, Pumpkin Puree. I love anything Cinnamon so this bomb is a favourite of mine for when I want that spooky spicy punk sort of vibe which is quite often. The Orange and Lime create a sort of citrus background for the Pumpkin to jump from which I quite like too as it stops the bomb from being one dimensional, If you haven't tried this product then you really should! Priced at £4.50.

Bubble Bars:

Screamo Bubble Blower

Ahhhhh! Are we screaming at the patriarchy, the villain that's coming to stab us, or, the worries of living during the pandemic? Who knows! Who doesn't love a good mask and a good scream? To me this bubble bar is obviously inspired by the wonderful slasher franchise that many including myself love to watch during the Halloween series. This bubble bar can be used by swishing into water/letting the water from the tap run on and through it and then once you're done filling your tub, you can use this product to blow actual bubbles into the bath. What an amazing concept!

This bubble bar contains Benzoin Resinoid, Ylang Ylang and Almond Essential Oil. These three create a wonderful sort of Marzipan and Cherry scent which reminds me of amazing baked treats that definitely should be eaten straight out of the oven. I quite enjoy this scent but I do get that it is can be sickly and a bit too much sometimes. Priced at £7.95.

A screaming skeleton mask shaped white, purple and black bubble bar on a large wide light brown stick in a light brown square box with a black card that says scream bubble blower in light white font on a bright background

Alien

This bubble bar brings you peace! Who doesn't love a good Alien. This one definitely reminds me of those Alien toys that were all the rage a good fewyears ago. To get the full extra-terrestrial experience, just crumble this bubble bar into the tub and let the water create bubbles that are out of this world!

This product contains Bergamot and Litsea Cubeba and Benzoin Resinoid which creates a very citrus scent that reminds me of Avocado Co-Wash with a little bit more of a zing to it. Priced at £4.95

A light bright green teardrop shaped alien bubble bar with black eyes in a large light brown square box with a black card saying alien in white font on a bright background

Shower:

Monster Octopus Shower Jelly

This Octopus may look like a monster but they will definitely take over your heart! Who odesn't love a good Octopus so having one to shower with is amazing. I love this design as Lush rarely release shaped Shower Jellies nowadays!

A white hand holding a dark purple and red octopus shaped shower jelly on a bright background

This cutie contains Blackcurrant and Vanilla Absolutes, Sweet Wild Orange and Tagetes Oils and Fresh Passion Fruit Infusion. I have heard many say that this smells of Passion Fruit, but honestly I disagree. I think that the infusion is more for colour than smell as I do not smell Passion Fruit at all. I have tasted and smelt a lot of Passion Fruit's and Passion Fruit based products and this smells nothing like them. To me, I get Vimto. The fizzy drink that reminds you of a mixture of berries and citrus. That. I think that this Octopus also has a fizzy element that makes me instantly think of Vimto too. No matter what you think the scent is, this is an amazing product. Priced at £7.50.

A selection of clear cylindrical plastic tubs filled with red and purple octopus shaped jellies on a light brown shelf with a black card that says monster octopus in white font on a bright background

Lord Of Misrule (2021 Edition)

The Lord has returned to the shower! Most of this is going to be a repeat of what I said in the LOM Bath Bomb 2021 section, however, I do love the colour and texture of this gel. The colour is inviting and the gel texture isn't too thick to use and will definitely be one of the products that I will be using aplenty during the cold mornings. Priced from £7.

A photo of a row of cylindrical plastic clear bottles filled with bright turquoise shower gel with a black label that is rectangular that says Lord of Misrule shower gel in white font on a large light brown shelf on a bright background

Ectoplasm Shower Slime

It's getting slimy in here. Who doesn't love slime?! This product means that you can now enjoy your slime in the bath or shower. To be frank, the Shower Slimes remind me of that bath jelly that was on every TV screen in the early noughts.

This product contains Tangerine, Litsea Cubeba and Grapefruit Oils and Fresh Tangerine and Grapefruit Juices, This to me reminds me of a more zingy cup of freshly squeezed Orange Juice to me and is definitely something that I need every morning no matter what. Priced at £6.

Soaps:

Pumpkin Spice

All things nice, Pumpkin, and Spice! Who doesn't love a good bit of Pumpkin Spice with their Autumn cosmetic products. Autumn to me is always Pumpkin Spice season!

This soap contains Pumpkin Puree, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Clove Bud Oil and Ginger Absolute which creates a slightly rich yet spicy scent that is to die for. I absolutely love this and if you love Pumpkin Spice anything then you will do too! Priced at £5.

A bright orange slanted square piece of soap with lush engraved on the side of it on a bright background

Ghost In The Dark

We all need a bit of brightness after all of the darkness that we have had in the past 18 months This soap not only looks boo-tiful, but also smells it too.

This soap contains Lemongrass and Bergamot Oils which create a wonderfully uplifting scent which will brighten the darkest of people up. If you have smelt the Avobath product from Lush and loved it then you will love this too! Priced £5.

A white ghost shaped soap with a green tinge to it on a bright background

Lip:

Trick Or Treat

Trick or treat? The ultimate question. I love a good trick and adore a good treat. To use a lip scrub, simply grab some of the scrub up from the pot by swiping the pot and then scrub your lips with it by moving your fingers in a circular motion over your lips and then lick once done scrubbing!

This product contains Malic Acid and Lime Oil which to me creates a sweet like sour Lime scent and flavour which makes your lips pucker and your mouth beg for more.

A selection of cylindrical glass jars filled with green sugar with a black circular lid with trick or treat in white font on a light brown rectangular shelf on a bright background

Gifts:

They Only Come Out At Night

Contains Bat Art, Alien, Ghostie, Ectoplasm Shower Slime and a drawstring cotton bag. I love gifts that come with bags as they create dual purpose and can even be used to bag other gits to people when needed. Priced at £32.

Halloween Buds

Contains Punkin Pumpkin, Ghoste and Bat Art. I love this gift as it would definitely be a great gift to give someone who may only want a few products or may be slowly getting into Lush. Priced at £16.

Grabbing All The Spoons From The Pot To Start The Day Off Right | Mr Lee's Breakfast Porridges & Congees Review

 Hey everyone!

Long time, no see! A lot of personal things have happened lately which has stopped me from blogging which I'd rather not get into. However, I do want to state that I am writing a Dissertation for my Masters Degree so posts will be sporadic for the moment. Recently I was kindly sent some products from Mr. Lee's recently and I thought that I would talk to you all about them today!

About Mr Lee's (Taken From Their Website):

Damien Lee was a real person, not some fictitious character made up by Madmen. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2014, he decided to take a stand against the food choices available to time poor people, passionately believing that we all have a right to quick, honest and tasty food.

So he started a food company! Damien passed away in early 2021 after battling fiercely and so courageously through the challenges of cancer for over 6 years.

During Damien’s treatment, he craved his guilty pleasure: instant noodles. But couldn’t succumb, knowing they’re full of junk and that wouldn’t help his diet in the fight. With the help of Andy Chu - an experenced executive Chef and friend of Damien’s - they developed 6 instant noodle recipes that contained no nasties, are low in sugar, low in saturated fats and gluten free. Damien’s idea became reality and Mr Lee’s first product was born. A guilt free, healthier instant noodle!

Unlike most other cup noodles, our ingredients are freeze dried, not dehydrated. This locks in more of the flavour, nutrients and vitamins. So you can scoff away guilt-free, knowing mind, body and soul are getting what they need!

Although their about us is all about the noodles and the background of the noddles and why they are amazing, Mr. Lee's kindly sent me some of their new Congee's and Porridges so this post will be mainly focusing on them.

The Products:

Original Congee Rice Porridge:

Congee to me is an Asian food staple. My friend Alex introduced Congee to me whilst being at Dim Sum a while ago and it changed my life.

The texture of Congee to me is amazing. Thick and velvety. That staple dish that just makes you feel warm on the inside. I guess the best way to put it is a very similar texture to Porridge. As the Congee's and Porridge Instant Pots are all similar in texture therefore I think that it may be best to leave it at this one in terms of discussing the texture as it may become repetitive. The texture of the Congee's and Porridges is amazing.

Ingredients:

Rice, Corn Semolina, Gluten Free Oat Flakes, Natural Flavour, Yeast Extract, Freeze-dried Spring Onion, Maltodextrin, Freeze-dried Ginger, Soybean, Salt, Onion Powder, Spirit Vinegar, Sugar.

The flavour of this Congee is strong but still soothing. The Soy that is in this product adds a sort of soothing saline shake to the product making you want to go back for more and more. After a while of having the smooth saline hit jump onto my tongue, the warming wave of Ginger popped on my tongue afterwards which contrasted against the soothing hit of Soy. As said from the texture, this Congee is exactly what you want when you need to be soothed and the flavour reinstates that. The Ginger may have a kick but it still has the ability to soothe your insides and make you feel warm and toasty.

Chicken Congee Rice Porridge

Ingredients:

Rice, Corn Semolina, Gluten Free Oat Flakes, Freeze-dried Chicken Breast, Freeze-dried Mushrooms, Fermented Shrimp Powder, Natural Flavour, Yeast Extract, Freeze-dried Spring Onion, Maltodextrin, Dried Ginger, Soybean, Onion Powder, Salt, Wild Seaweed, White Pepper, Spirit Vinegar, Sugar.

The flavour of the Rice, Oats and Salt are the first components to hit your tongue as soon as you take a spoonful of this perfect product which reinforces the soothing properties that I mentioned in the paragraph above. After this, blasts of Ginger and Onion jump onto the palette ensuring that you get hit with both the punchy flavours that these ingredients provide. Once this takeover of the tongue is finished, the coolness returns in the form of Mushroom. I always relate Mushrooms to soothing as they are in such sort of comforting dishes as Miso Soup and such forth. These go well with the savoury flavour of the Chicken which coats your mouth beautifully and makes you want more. I love this Congee as it is definitely the best mixture of contrasts. From soothing and uplifting to salty and sweet to crunchy and soft. It is such an amazing dish.

So Very Berry Porridge:

Ingredients:

Gluten Free Oats, Coconut Milk, White Rice, Organic Coconut Blossom Sugar, Psyillium Husk, Freeze-dried Strawberries, Freeze-dried Raspberries, Freeze-dried Goji Berries, Beetroot, Maltodextrin, Modified Food Starch, Natural Flavouring.

Oh god this porridge was amazing. I could have this every single day! As soon as I put a spoonful of Porridge in my mouth, I was hit with a blast of uplifting Coconut and I loved it! The Coconut coated my mouth like how the perfect blanket coats you at night. After this, the bunch of berries popped flavour onto my tongue like how a dart has the ability to instantly pop a balloon. I absolutely loved it as it created a great contrast against the sweet Coconut This is definitely a great product that would perk up your morning perfectly!

Salted Caramel Porridge:

Ingredients:

Gluten Free Oats, Coconut Milk, White Rice, Organic Coconut Blossom Sugar, Maltodextrin, Psyllium Husk, Natural Flavouring, Modified Food Starch, Sea Salt.

If anyone knows me well then you will know that I have a habit of trying Salted Caramel products and end up complaining about the fact that they never have a distinct Salt flavour to them. I was pleasantly surprised that one of the first flavours to hit my tongue was Salt which was probably Mr. Lee's telling me that I was in good hands when it cane to them putting what I wanted into their products. The next thing that hit my tongue with flavour was a sort of toasty warm Caramel flavour which I believe came from a mixture of the flavouring, Coconut Blossom Sugar and Oats. I love anything with a warn sort of smoky flavour to it as it stops products and food from being too sweet and this was no exception! It added a sort of sweet smoky flavour to the product and made me want to go back for more and more every time that I had a bite.

Original 3-Grain Porridge

Ingredients:

Gluten Free Oats, Coconut Milk, White Rice, Maltodextrin, Psyllium Husk, Modified Food Starch.

Simple but sublime. The first flavour that flooded my mouth was a toasty note from the Oats which I adore. I love that sort of warm smoky tastiness that comes from Oats especially on a cold morning. Whilst the smoky note took a slight step into the background, the Coconut Milk came out to shine and gave the oats an amazing contrasting flavour of not only Coconut but also comfort. As a lactose intolerant person, Coconut Milk is my milk of choice because of this sort of comforting note as it reassures me that everything will be okay when I drink it.

Directions On How To Prepare An Mr. Lee's Instant Pot Product:

Boil the kettle, take the lid off, fill the kettle up to the line, stir, wait four minutes and enjoy!

Would I Buy These Again?

Honestly? Yes, I would! I absolutely love these. As someone who sometimes forgets to have breakfast and as someone who craves food like Porridge and Congee on the cold days, I would stock up on these to ensure I always have something in to eat for breakfast or those cold days! I love the simplicity of them and they taste amazing which I was pleasantly surprised about as I've had some instant pot products that haven't been up to a great standard of quality. Overall I give all of these a 9/10.

Where Can I Buy These?

You can purchase these at Amazon, The Mr Lees website, vending machines and Ocado and start from £2.25.

Favourite Summer Things Mini Guide 2021

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about some of my favourite items for the Summer that I have been checking out on social media.

A birds eye shot photo consisting of different coloured and shaped food on a large bright brown wooden table with white hands on it on a bright background

Dr Martens Geraldo Brando Sandals

If you've been following me on social media or on this blog for a while, then you may know about my love for Dr Martens. I love all of their footwear and other products that they sell. One of my favourite products from Dr Martens are the Jadon Max Boots as not only do they look lovely but they also are made out of durable fabric and just fit my aesthetic amazingly. However, I do think during the Summer we all need a pair of shoes or sandals that are going to make us feel our sensational Summer fantasies and I think that the Geraldo Brando pair from Dr Martens do that perfectly! I personally adore them due to having the closed toe style of a shoe mixed with the sort of fun summer style that comes with sandals. I for one am wary of waring sandals due to hating my feet and I think that these will get me to start wearing sandals again due to this particular pair of sandals having that closed toe finish to the product. Check them out here.

A photo of some black sandals with leather straps at the top that fit the ankle with a closed toe feature at the bottom to make them look more like shoes on a bright background

Hill & Ellis

We all need a good bag to get us through the warm weather and all of those hectic vibes that come with enjoying the Summer to its fullest! Hill & Ellis, a wonderful brand, create not only amazing bags but colourful bags that will complement the Summer vibes that you may be enjoying right now but will also add a perfect pop of colour to your Autumnal/Winter fashion looks! Their bags are also made with sustainable materials and are made in the lovely city of London! I absolutely adore their products and think that they are amazing all year round! Check them out here

Watermelon Malibu

Who doesn't love a good drink? Is it just me or does Watermelon make you instantly think of Summer too? I guess its due to the amount of Watermelon based drinks that I have had during previous Summers. Especially Watermelon Mojitos! Malibu, which some already think as the epitome of Summer, have released a Watermelon version of their delicious drink and it is amazing. I absolutely love it and think that it is an amazing addition to a cocktail for those who love anything Watermelon.

A photo of a white cylrindrical bottle filled with clear liquid with ,Malibu in black font with watermelon in red and green font on a bright background

Jollibee

If you have been living under a rock, which honestly I wouldn't blame you if you had been living under a rock during the past eighteen months, then you may not know what Jollibee is. Jollibee is a Fillipino fast food business that are slowly taking over the world! Jollibee focus on serving amazing Fried Chicken that will leave you feel happy for a while after you have eaten some. They also focus on creating an amazing homage to a well-known Filipino speciality which Jollibee have dubbed as the Jolly Spaghetti. This dish is amazing and reminds me of cold days where ally ou want is a hug in food form. They also offer a range of other dishes, have a brand spanking new store in Leeds and I think that their Fried Chicken eaten on a warm day in the Summer would be amazing! (Should I do a post on jollibee's food? Let me know down below or on my social media platforms!) Check them out here

Short Dungarees

We all need a look to kill the Summer in! I think that Short Dungarees are the epitome of Summer fashion. If you follow me on Social Media then you will know that I mean this with my whole heart as half of my feed is full of me wearing different types of Short Dungarees including ripped ones which I think are amazing. A true chefs (in this case designers) kiss! They go with anything and just make you feel like it's Summer no matter what!

Lush Botanomancy Bubble Bar Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you all about a new product form Lush. I did go into a store to pick this up, but, when I got to the Lush White Rose store, a lovely staff member gifted it to me which I was shocked and thankful for.

A dark green and pink swirled oval shaped bubble bar held by a white hand over a white oval bath tub on a bright background

List Of Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Patchouli Oil, Pimento Berry Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Ginger Oil, Sandalwood Oil,  Celery Seed Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Dried Lavender Flowers, Dried Rose Petals, Dried Peppermint Leaf, Cannabidiol, Gardenia Extract, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarin, *Eugenol, Isoeugenol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Chlorophyllin, Colour 77491.

Before I start the full review, its best to talk about the Cannabidiol.CBD Oil. Before knowing about this product, I honestly didn't know that much about CBD. I knew that it was slowly trickling its way into the beauty industry and that it comes in many forms and can be used in a plethora of ways. I still have a lot of research to do in regards to CBD but I now know that unlike stigma has crafted it to look like, it doesn't get you high even though its from the same green plant from something that can get you high and even though there is still being mass research put into finding out what CBD can do as a whole, it has been suggested that it can help those who suffer from pain and other things such as seizures.

I love the rolls from Lush. I realise that may sound hyperbolic but honestly I really do. I currently have six of them in my possession right now of different scents. I just think that they are amazing. Not only are they full of superb scent but you can get at least six baths out of them and that's when I'm using a generous amount each time. Oh, they also create mounds and mounds of bubbles too!

This texture pre and post crumbling it into the tub was amazing but interesting. When crumbling it into the tub, it took a bit of a while for me to have the strength to crumble it in. I have had rolls from Lush before but I don't remember them being extra hard which was something new. When I entered the waters, I didn't expect the waters to be so silky smooth. It reminded me more of a bath oil with bubbles rather than a bubble bath to me. I loved the silky sheen that appeared at the top of the wonderful waters. The second surprise in this bar was the flowers. Yes I had read online that it contained dried flowers, but honestly I had forgotten instantly about them due to the other amazing ingredients that are in this bar. When I eventually found a fabulous flower, I played with them and sniffed them to see if they still had their natural scent and they did. I loved them just on a textural spect as it kept me guessing of what was going to happen next but at the same time made me feel like I was relaxing in a gorgeous little sort of garden based bath.

Time to get onto the scent! I may be a bit bias with my review when it comes to the scent but I love anything that is Patchouli based and I love sort of green based scents so put them together and I am in love. I used to adore the Grass scent when it was available to grab in stores! I think that's why I get along with my friend Alex when it comes to scents as they like the same sort of scents, even though they are nose blind after about three sniffs if I drag them into anywhere like Lush.

The Patchoili, Pimento Berry (Allspice) and Ginger jumped on the scent train together when it came to instantly noticing what this bar smelt like. These three amazing ingredients blended together to give a sort of husky spicy note. Sadly, just like all three terrific trios, one of them stood out that little bit more and in this case it was the Patchouli which gave a sort of smoky herbal spice to the product which I instantly loved. The Patchouli sang its heart out till the end as I could still detect a very punchy hit of Patchouli circling my bathroom the day after. The next group to aboard the scent train were the Petitgrain, Sandalwood and Celery Seed. The main star from this group was the Petitgrain. The petit grain gave the bath a sweet yet a furious hit of floral which cut through some of the smoke and warmth from the other group. The best way that I could sum up the scent at the end of this tremendous train is a sort of spicy yet grassy floral mixture which makes you feel like you're in a spicy sort of garden like bath which is reinforced by the dried petals that surround you whilst bathing in aesthetic, scent and texture.

Would I buy this again? Yes! I loved the scent, the texture was amazing and the CBD in this bar numbed my pain for a while. I get tension pain from suffering with severe anxiety and it can affect me quite badly and has done all throughout my Undergraduate and Postgraduate academic life so having something that I know can help it is amazing to me. The flowers as well were a great way to feel pampered but relaxed at the same time as I need all the relaxing at the moment with life being hectic and restrictions being lifted. The bath also felt like I was being massaged from all the oils, flowers and CBD which I adored. I do think that this is either a love or loathe sort of product for most though. I also love how you can get so many baths just from one beautiful bar.

Have you checked out this product? Should I review the CBD Bath Bomb '4:20' from Lush next? What CBD based beauty products should I review? Let me know down below!

Some New Products That I Recently Bought From Iceland

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you about some of the new things that I got from Iceland.

I decided to order a Iceland delivery order due to ordering in the past with them for when I have needed things in the past for my university at home lunches. Iceland are amazing for home deliveries due to having delivery slots in the same week as ordering, which for someone who is, disabled and a student this is an absolute must. Iceland are always amazing when delivering my items!

Butterkist Toffee and Popcorn Flavoured Ice Cream

Oh my god, Butterkist has always been my favourite product to take to the cinema and now that I can have it in an ice cream form, I can enjoy it at home whenever I want a movie night!

The texture of this product is amazing. Not only do you have smooth ice cream, but you have crunchy bits of honeycomb and sugar and then waves of flowing toffee sauce. All of these blended together create the greatest of mouth feels!

The flavour of this product is phenomenal and has many dimensions to it. To start off with the popcorn flavoured ice cream hits your tongue like the main battle of a superhero movie. After this, the toffee flavour blended together with the popcorn flavour on my mouth, just like how a sidekick blends together with the protagonist of a movie to create the greatest team alive. Finally the sugar and honeycomb flavours blast on the mouth like a rocket going into space just to create the best ending to a great flavour adventure ever. If you love anything sweet or the original Toffee Butterkist then I urge you to try this.

A red cylindrical tub filled with ice cream with a circular red lid with some golden brown popcorn with butterkist toffee and popcorn flavoured ice cream in gold font on a bright background

Fruit Salad Ice Lollies

Who remembers unwrapping the wrapper of a Fruit Salad sweet knowing that the contents of it would bring you utter joy? These sweets were another part of my childhood. To be honest with you readers, most of items in this post remind me of my childhood and I think that's why I bought them. During this whacky new world that we are slowly coming to know, nostalgia is very much needed.

These reminded me of Twister ice lollies. I love anything Pineapple so I was excited to delve into them. The mixture of Pineapple and Raspberry created a delicious sweet and sour contrast. The creaminess not only added a bit of texture but added a richness to the product which I adored as it cut back some of the sharpness of the fruit, which if left in its natural form, may be a bit too much for some. These to me tasted like the epitome of Summer.

Parma Violet Ice Lollies

I remember always getting these at Halloween or when it came to a fellow schoolmates birthday when I was younger.

I adored these. The lollies had a great texture to them which reminded me of a solid slushy. The taste of these reminded me instantly of Parma Violets. The best way to describe the taste of this product, is crushed up Parma Violet sweets steeped in water and frozen. I think that these would be great for a summer picnic in the garden or with a refreshing drink on the side. I should say though that if you're not the biggest fan of Violet then I don't think that you will enjoyy these that much.

Space Invaders Potato Snacks

Who doesn't love Space Invaders? Those surprisingly sour crisps were the epitome of my childhood! I saw these and I knew that I had to have them!

'Potato shapes from rehydrated potato with pickled onion flavour, pre-fried in sunflower oil.' - Iceland Foods.

When these amazing aliens were ready, I left them to cool before I tried them. These beauties were crunchy whilst the inside were as fluffy as your favourite blanket. I love the texture of potato shapes in general as they bring the best of both worlds to the plate.

Sadly, I was expecting the Pickled Onion flavour to come out strongly when after cooking these aliens, the Pickled Onion note of them had been muted quite a bit by the heat of the oven. To me they tasted more of Cheese than Pickled Onion to me which was quite bizarre. I am tempted to get the BBQ Neef ones to see if the same happens. Even though the Pickled Onion isn't completely there, it will definitely not stop me from devouring the rest of the bag!

Lush New Bubble Bars 2021 First Impressions

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently popped into Lush White Rose with Luke to try out their new bubble bars. We did also pop into Lush Leeds Spa due to White Rose not having all of them. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about the brand new bubble bars.

A semi circular arched shaped bubble bar with all of the colours of the rainbow in arched stripes on it on a bright background

Apple Crumble

Take a bite, dearie. Who doesn't love an Apple? They keep the doctor away! I love the design of this bar as it looks like an Apple but in bubble bar form. This bar contains, Fresh Apple Pulp, Myrrh Resinoid, Orange Flower Absolute and Cinnamon Leaf Oil. This creates a sort of refreshing crisp yet light Red Apple scent with a touch of spice. I love anything spice and I adore Apple Crumbles so this one drew me instantly in. This bar is actually a Bubbleroon as this product contain Shea and Cocoa Butters in the middle which make a luxurious bath which helps to soften and nourish your skin. I did wish that this bar did have a tiny bit more of an Apple scent to it but overall I love the design and the smell of this one.

A bright red oval shaped bubble bar which looks like an apple with a oval green accessory on the top of it filled with some white butter on a background of brown rectangular shelves filled with different shaped and coloured bath bombs on a bright background

Castle In The Clouds

Surfing like a castle in the cloud! Who doesn't want to bathe in something that is as light as a cloud? This bar contains, Geranium Oil, Jasmine Absolute and Benzoin Resinoid. This to me created a light sweet floral scent. I love floral scents but sadly, I don't think that this one is for me. I got a weird mixture of floral, faint berry and sort of a cream based note. Maybe I need to sniff this one again but honestly, its not my favourite.

A spiralled sort of castle shaped bubble bar with blue white and pastel pink features on a bright background

Frozen Reusable

Let it go into the tub! Summer is slowly approaching and who doesn't love something that will chill you right down? This bar contains, Spearmint Oil and Fine Sea Salt. I believe this is the same scent as the Cream Egg Bubble Bar but I could be wrong. I love the addition of Salt (but then again I am quite salty in life) but I do also understand that flakes of salt can create a bit of a mess. I love the Mint scent due to it being refreshing and cooling but I do have a couple of Polar Bear Plunge Bubble Bars which are a similar scent so it may take me a while to get around to this bubble bar. If you love anything Mint then I do suggest that you try this Bubble Bar.

A white pale hand holding a light blue star shaped bubble bar with blue-silver lustre and crystals of sea salt on a bright background

Lemon Crumble

Fancy a slice? I love Lemons. Anyone close to me will know that I have a weird talent of being able to eat slices of Lemon whole without any reaction. This product definitely enhanced my love for Lemons when I first saw it. I adore how it looks exactly like a fresh luscious Lemon. This product contains, Sicilian Lemon Oil and Fresh Lemon which creates an intense zingy yet fresh Lemon scent. This bar is also a Bubbleroon due to the Shea and Cocoa Butters in the middle of it which create a moisturising bath so when you get out of the bath, everyone will be fancying a slice of you!

A light white pale hand holding a bright yellow glittery lemon shaped bubble bar filled with pale yellow butter in the middle on a bright background

Matcha Roll

Who doesn't love a Matcha Latte? Before I get into the scent of this Roll, I have to admit, I was drawn in by the swirls of vibrant green mixed with the start white which makes up the rest of the bubble bar. This product looked so mesmerising in the store. This roll contains, Cardamom, Persian Lime and Almond Essential Oils, Tonka and Sesame Seed Absolutes and Green Tea Powder. This all combines to create a sort of creamy Coconut and earthy but slightly spicy fragrance which I absolutely adore. Its a match for me and Matcha Roll.

A oval shaped green and white swirled bubble bar held by a white pale hand over a white oval bath tub on a bright background

Mrs Whippy

Whip it real good! Who doesn't want to bathe in what is essentially ice cream goodness? Mrs Whippy doesn't just look the part, but smells the part too! This bar contains, Buchu and Almond Essential Oil, Tonka Absolutes and Fine Sea Salt. If you have smelt Candy Rain then imagine the same exact scent in a bubble bar! I think that for me this one will grow on me as I love using Candy Rain but only in small doses as for me the sort of Vanilla Milkshake-esque scent is something I have to be in a particular mood for.

A oval whipped up shaped white bubble bar on a bright background

Puppy Love

And they call it Puppy Love! Who doesn't love a cute little Puppy? This cute little friend looks so mood enhancing and so is the scent! This delightful doggo contains, Sicilian Red Mandarin and Almond Essential Oils which create a very sherbet-y sort of sharp Raspberry scent. The best sort of way I could describe it is a sort of like Pink Lemonade but in the sense that there's more Pink than Lemonade. I absolutely adore this scent. I wasn't sure on how I would feel about it but when I smelt it I fell in love with it... Its just so sharp and fruity and I think it would be amazing to use on a fresh Spring morning.

A yellow pug shaped bubble bar with red heart shaped eyes held by a pale white hand on a bright background

Rainbow

When you use this Bubble Bar, you definitely know that you're not in Kansas anymore! Who doesn't love a good Rainbow. When I first saw this online, I honestly thought it was a reincarnation of the old favourite, Dorothy. Therefore, when I saw that it wasn't. I was a little bit disappointed. Again, as someone who is very very queer, I love that Lush has created a Rainbow based Bubble Bar. This beautiful bar contains, Sicilian Lemon and Lemon Myrtle Oils and Benzoin Resinoid. This creates a sort of muted fruity Lemon scent. It's not as strong as Lemon Crumble but I think it would be a great bar to use when you need something to perk you up in the morning!

A semi circular arched shaped bubble bar with all of the colours of the rainbow in arched stripes on it on a bright background

Raspberry Blower

Go on, give it a blow! Who doesn't love a multi-purpose product? Not only can you create bubbles but you can also create hours of fun just by simply blowing into the hole. This product contains Bergamot, Grapefruit and Almond Essential Oils which creates a slightly sweet, slightly floral sherbet scent. If you have had anything that is Space Girl scented then you will love this bar as it shares the scent! As you may know, I adore the Space Girl scent so I adored this bar when I first sniffed it and loved how you could do more than one thing with it.

A large pink raspberry shaped bubble bar with a hole in the middle attached to a light brown wooden stick on a bright background

Support Bubble

Not only do we need Support Bubbles during these troubling times, but we also need bubbles to support us during these troubling times too. This product contains, Grapefruit and Petitgrain Oils which create a sort of fruity slightly herbal scent. Sadly, I think its one that I have to be really in the mood for so I'm still a bit unsure on how I feel about it. I think that this one again may grow on me the more I sniff it.

A light silver pink bubble shaped bubble bar on a bright background

Twilight

Let the sun go down whilst you dip into the calming waters that surround you. This bar looks amazing. I love how it actually looks like the sun is going down. It's fabulous! This scent contains, Lavender and Ylang Ylang Oils, Tonka Absolute, Benzoin Resinoid and Lavender Powder. This all creates a sweet lavender scent. If you have enjoyed any Twilight based product like the Spray or Bath Bomb then you will adore this. I quite like this for when I need a little relaxing, saying that, I think there is another relaxing Bubble Bar in this range that I prefer.

A light rounded squared purple yellow and slightly red bubble bar with some embedded lavender seeds in it on a bright background

The Great Wave

Woah, you're going on a ride of your life! This bar is massive. Not only does it look like the great wave but it feels it in the palm of your hand. This bar contains Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil, Fine and Coarse Sea Salts. I think that his bar would be amazing to use throughout Spring or when you want something that is light and floral. I like this but I sadly don't think its my favourite out of the range.

A light blue and white wave shaped bubble bar on a bright background

Vesuvio*

Be careful otherwise it will spit all over you! Since I was little, I was always fascinated with Mount Vesuvius thus having one that I can use in my bath enlightens me from within. This bar contains, Almond Essential, Cinnamon Leaf and Brazilian Orange Oils which create a lovely slightly citrus spicy Almond scent. I normally don't like Almond scents but the spice cuts through the sweetness which is what intrigues me to use it and see what it is like. If you liked Cinders then you will like this.

A red-brown volcano shaped bubble bar with a ring of orange-yellow at the top on a bright background

Worry Monster*

This Little Monster will never make you worry again! As someone who suffers from an Anxiety disorder and has constant worries every moment of every day, I was intrigued to see how this bar would smell like. Not only is this bar cute as hell like most little human monsters but also smells divine. As I mentioned earlier I thought there was more of a relaxing bar than Twilight, and this is that bar! This bar contains, Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Fennel Oils and Cocoa Butter which creates a soothing yet slightly herbal nourishing bath which I adore. It is an amazing scent to relax with!

Put The Lime In The Coconut | Lush Lime Bounty Body Butter Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about a brand new product from Lush that I have been loving at the moment.

Before shops were allowed to re-open, Lush released the Lime Bounty Body Butter. Sadly, I wasn't able to get it during those times, but now that shops have re-opened, I headed to the lovely Lush White Rose store and finally got my hands on it.

List Of Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Extract, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Murumuru Butter, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Triethanolamine, Persian Lime Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 45350, Colour 42090.

A photo of a large cylindrical black pot with lime bounty in large white font with lush in small white font with a white small circular white bowl filled with oval shaped green limes on a bright background

The scent of this product is sensational. The astringent Lime hits you right in the face when you open the tub which just makes you feel awake and ready to get on with your day. The Grapefruit and Lemon Oils blend together to help uplift the Lime Oil and round out the scent making it zingy and uplifting to the nose. Once the Lime has lovingly hit you in the face, the Coconut slowly comes through. This Coconut isn't an overpowering artificial scent, which sometimes appears in cosmetic products, but instead is, a well rounded slightly sweet Coconut which contrasts amazing with the luscious lime scent that is awaiting to have a party on your body.

The texture of this Body Butter is quite intriguing. To start off with, when you open the lid, you are met with what looks like Coconut Shavings, or, Desiccated Coconut, however, it is actually moisturising chunks of Shea Butter which have been made to look like strands of Coconut. When you scoop a bit of this beautiful Butter out of the tub, it is quite thick. Thick to the point that I decided to tip the tub upside down onto the lid, and nothing came out. Due to this, I expected the butter to be quite thick and although nourishing to the skin, a product that would take a long while to soak into the skin. However, this was not the case. The texture is slightly thick when scooped out of the tub, but as soon as it is applied to the skin, it becomes a ultra hydrating, instant sinking into the skin Body Butter. I absolutely adore that. I have dry skin, but sometimes waiting forever for a product to sink in just isn't for me, so, having the best of both worlds is the best thing ever for me. This Butter left my skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated all day long without any of the greasy feeling that some body products have which again is amazing for me as that residue sort of feeling can leave me feeling a bit off when I need to use my hands and such.

Would I buy this again? Definitely! This is a 9.5/10 for me. Why a 9.5? For me, I kind of wish the chunks at the top were kind of more mixed through... Having all of the shreds on top makes me not want to use it as it looks so pretty. If the chunks were more mixed through then I could enjoy the product and the chunks that little bit more. This product is priced at £7, which is affordable for a Body Butter as some other cosmetic companies charge doubler to triple for a Body Butter. Saying that, if you aren't a fan of Lime, or are allergic to Lime, like my friend Abbey is, then this product sadly isn't for you.

Lush Space Girl Body Spray Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today, I would talk to you all about the new #LushLabs limited edition Body Sprays that dropped on Lush UK's website the other day, and in particular the Space Girl Body Spray.

A black spray bottle with a red catcher lever at the bottom of the spray part with a black domed label on the front that says Space Girl in large white font with Body Spray in smaller white font with #LushLabs in smaller white font on a large rectangular light brown tape with a light grey rectangular sofa in the background and a light cream rectangular shaped door on a bright background

Late 2020, Lush decided to release a little range of Body Sprays that were on their website for a limited time only. The sprays included, Winter Garden, Ectoplasm, Sparkling Pumpkin, Mamma Mia, and, Space Girl. I decided to grab Space Girl due to the bath bomb that used to be at Lush that shared the same name and scent was one of the first bath bombs that I purchased at Lush many years ago.

List Of Ingredients:

DRF Alcohol, Perfume, *Limonene, Grapefruit Oil, Bergamot Oil, Almond Essential Oil, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Linalool.

As I have mentioned, this scent was one of the first few that I was introduced to when getting into Lush a fair amount of years ago. The Space Girl Bath Bomb used to spurt out so many vibrant colours and fizz around the bath so amazingly. However, my favourite part of Space Girl Bath Bomb was it's scent and thankfully this Body Spray contains the very same sensational scent! The Grapefruit and Bergamot Oils create a wonderfully bright and zingy sherbet scent whereas the Almond Oil adds a bit of roundness and sweetness to the product to ensure that it isn't too sour. The best way to sort of explain this scent is as a sort of tangy yet sweet sherbet scent that appeals to the child within us all.

I sprayed it various times when I grabbed it to ensure that I got a consistent response to seeing how long the fragrance lasted on the skin. This wonderful scent lasts on the skin for such a long time and is so powerful. I remember one time using this, whilst getting ready to go to University (whilst being on campus was allowed for a short time) and by the time I was home many hours later, due to studying, doing some essential shopping and grabbing something to eat, I could smell it vibrantly on my skin. The sherbet note had calmed down a bit but the almond came out a bit more and gave a almost biscuit note to the scent.

Would I buy this again? I definitely would. Sadly, this has now been removed from the Lush site due to it being a limited edition product but I would definitely get this again. I adore the uplifting yet slightly sweet scent and I adore the Body Sprays due to getting 200ml of fragrance for an affordable price.

Let's Talk About Something That Happened To Me During The Pandemic

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today, I would talk to you all about something quite serious.

A photo of some light brown square shops with a square pyramid based silver glass and metal store with m in white font in a red circle with a grey road with white stripes down the street on a bright background

When society was in the midst of attempting to come back to a sense of 'normality' in the beginning of September, I decided that I would participate in doing a Masters Degree at University. At the same time, Leeds City Centre was having some major redevelopment work going on which meant that the public transport to and from Bradford was a bit of a nightmare...

For the first few wonderful weeks of being back at Leeds Beckett University, the buses moved to a completely different part of the city centre. Sadly, I had zero idea that this was happening so I got off the bus that day at the Starbucks in Leeds City Centre, near The Light Shopping Centre, due to being familiar with the Shopping Centre, but when I had finished University that day, everything became an adventure that I never want to relive...

I arrived at the location of where the bus stop had been for several months to find out that it had completely moved with no notification except a visual map that resembled a flowchart via having symbols and numbers all over it. Sadly, it was night-time. The disability that I have (Retinitis Pigmentosa/RP) affects me mainly within the aspects of depth perception, night blindness and tunnel vision, this meant that I was unable to see the 'notice' due to it being dark. I tried to use my phones torch and Google Maps on my phone, but I had no luck.

I decided to travel to the location of where the bus used to be before the re-development work started to see whether it had moved back there or not. When I arrived there whilst using the cane that I sometimes use when I really need to use it, I tried to then again use my phone torch to attempt to see the board with the timetable and buses available on it. Now, due to the metal reflecting, I can sometimes see this due to it being contrasting with the darkness of the outside world. Whilst having my phone in my hand with my cane folded and wrapped around my wrist, I met by someone who decided to start to shout to me about socially distance. I did mention that I had a folded cane and that I had a visual impairment. She decided to carry on shouting at me about socially distancing which just made me more and more anxious even though I had explained that a: I can't see in the dark, b: I had a cane (when mentioning or showing the cane to strangers they normally understand that you have a disability due to associating a visual aid to a disability which is problematic to this day) and c: that not being able to see affects knowing how far 2m is and that I didn't realise she was there due to the darkness. She snipped that the bus I wanted wasn't at the stop and kept stating about socially distancing even though I had said what I had said.

I decided to travel to the Bus Station at the bottom of Leeds City Centre whilst using my cane to hopefully get the bus home safely and without being shouted at. Whilst I was walking away, I was still met with ableist slurs, swearing. Whilst I started to walk away, she had decided to follow me which honestly, not only made me more anxious but slightly scared for my life especially with only being able to walk at a certain speed with a cane in the dark.

I thankfully made it to the Bus Station as quickly as I possibly could go and found out that my bus was at a stand. Thank goodness. I got on and was on my way home safely and soundly.

Why am I deciding to write about this now? With the restrictions lifting quite a bit, whether this be socially meeting up outside or non-essential retail opening, I feel that I need to reiterate that some people may not be able to partake in some of the requirements of being social and honestly just living during a time where a worldwide pandemic is going on and that we all need to realise this and be kind to all. Disabilities come in many forms and are on a mass spectrum and we don't know what people are going through so instantly screaming and following them is something that we shouldn't do just because they can't do something that the government is urging everyone to do. I also think that the ways that society and the government have put in place to cope with COVID are quite ableist and even though that's probably for another time, I think that we should all just take things into perspective.

I did also contact Metro during the time of this happening, but I never got a response but if Metro do see this, you really need to ensure that customers are kind to others right now and that you have accessible to all features at your bus stops and shelters.

Have you had any bad experience during the pandemic? Let me know down below.

Panda Sweets Pick & Mix Box Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. I was kindly sent one of the wonderful Pick & Mix boxes from Panda Sweets and I thought that today, I thought I would talk to you all about it.

A large light brown rectangular box filled with a variety of different shaped and coloured sweets on a bright background

'Our Pick N Mix Boxes are huge, they contain a massive 1,000g (1kg) or sweets. The Pick N Mix Boxes are perfect for movie nights, family gatherings parties or any other occasion, they are absolutely stuffed to the brim with a huge range of sweets, such as jelly sweets, chewy sweets, fizzy sweets, chocolate and marshmallows. The Pick N Mix Sweet Box has been photographed to show you the products contained in the box; the box will come with all of the sweets hygienically packaged in an airtight bags. In rare cases items may differ from those listed but would be replaced with a similar item of equal or higher value.'
- Panda Sweets.

Now due to the lovely and decadent amount of sweets that are in this box, I think it might be a bit better to pick some sweets out and tell you what I think instead of talking about every type of sweet that is in this beautiful and marvellous box.

White Chocolate Jazzies:

I used to love these as a child. Whenever I used to go to the shops with the rest of my family I used to get these all of the time. Creamy smooth chocolate against crunchy little hundreds and thousands. Absolute perfection. Sadly, as I grew up, I fell slightly out of love with these, not out of choice but just due to growing up as a human and slightly forgetting that they existed. So imagine my surprise, when I opened the box to find a few of these whimsical white gems glaring at me. I was amazed. I instiantly felt like I was transported back to my childhood. I absolutely loved them. If you like anything that has white chocolate in them or is bright and colourful then I urge you to try them.

Fizzy Cola Bottles:

Who doesn't love something that is coated in Sugar? These bottles to me are amazingg. I love the sort of sweet interior which tastes like an classic favourite flavour of Cola mixed with the sort of seriously sour exterior that just makes your whole face pucker. If anyone knows me, then you will know that I love sour things so these are always a great favourite for me.

Fried Eggs:

Eggs, Eggs, Eggs, all I want is Eggs! Who doesn't love Eggs? Again, these little fabulous Fried Eggs have been a staple favourite for me. The sweet yet slightly tart flavour of these eggs just are devious! I could eat these all night long.

Gummy Worms:

Do the worm! These worms are wonderful! These sweet and sour sweets are the great afternoon snack. You never know what you're going to get when you take a bite. These just remind me of my teenage years when I used to grab packets of organic Gummy Worms and spend all day out on adventures and just soaking up the atmosphere. I just adore these.

Cherry Lips:

These are amazing. To me, these will always remind me of my brother Luke, as these were his favourite sweet to get whilst growing up. Not only are they a great sweet to eat due to its punchy flavour but just fun to buy due to the shape of these sweets. I always loved as a kid to put these up to my face and pretend to have red plump lips. I just think that these are great sweets to bring a little bit of fun to anyone during these dark times.

Would I get these for someone as a gift? Definitely! This box contains so many goodies for anyone that you love or want to give a bit of fun to. The variety of the sweets that are included are off the chart and the price for this box is less than £10 which for a kilo of sweets is amazing to me.

If you want to save 15% then use my code JAMIE. This offer can be used against everything on the Panda Sweets website. This offer is available until the 31st May 2021.

Have you tried Panda Sweets? What is your favourite childhood sweet? Let me know down below.

Lush Twilight Sleepy Body Spray Review

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! As by the time this post is up, it shall be World Sleep Day, (Friday 19th March), the lovely people at Lush PR, sent me the Twilight Sleepy Body Spray, to try and  I thought that I would talk to you a bit about my relationship with Lavender and Sleep and talk to you all about my thoughts on the Spray.

A picture of a big black spray bottle with a arched domed black label with twilight in big white font with sleepy body spray in small white font and LUSH in small black font on a bright background

List Of Ingredients:

Organic DRF Alcohol Water (Aqua) Perfume Glycerine Lavender Oil *Linalool Benzoin Resinoid Tonka Absolute Ylang Ylang Oil *Benzyl Benzoate *Benzyl Cinnamate *Benzyl Salicylate *Cinnamal *Coumarin *Eugenol *Farnesol *Geraniol *Isoeugenol *Limonene

Twilight was actually one of the first bath bombs that I tried from Lush, so having a spray version of it reminds me of the soothing sweet scent from when I was first getting into Lush. This scent contains Lavender, Tonka, Benzoin Resinoid and Ylang Ylang. To me the Lavender and Tonka are the main two stars of this show. The others just kinda help to make the Lavender and Tonic shine more. The mixture of Lavender and Tonka create a sort of soothing herbal yet malty conception. The best way to describe it is a sort of Lavender infused Horlicks hot drink.

Whilst I was at University, I actually was using Lavender Oil every now and again on my pillow to help me drift off to sleep, but pouring it out of a little vial always was so fiddly so I am now glad I can get my soothing fix in an easy to spray bottle. I received this whilst recovering from having my first COVID vaccine and juggling two chunky University assignment deadlines for my Masters Degree so I definitely needed something to help me calm down and get to sleep soundly as I was either not able to sleep properly sometimes from the side effects or staying up quite late from working on my assignments. I used this for a good week and every time, it helped me to calm down a bit which then lead to me slowly drifting off easier when I needed some sleep. If you aren't a big fan of Lavender, then I would suggest looking at maybe Honey I Washed The Kids, or, Let The Good Times Roll Body Spray's for creamy soothing scents. If you want something a little bit more herbal then I'd suggest maybe, Guardians Of The Forest Body Spray

This can be sprayed onto a pillow before bed, onto bed sheets, pyjamas, sprayed in the air to scent a room, and on the skin as a body spray. I used this spray as both a pillow spray and a body spray. I loved it as a pillow spray as it just made my surroundings calm before going to bed. I also loved this as a body spray, as it meant if I felt anxious then I could take a deep breath, smell a nice soothing scent and calm down.

The performance of this fragrance is amazing. When you spray it, it releases a very strong Lavender note with a tiny touch of the Ylang Ylang, and Tonka, then about four hours in for me, the Tonka takes over for a bit whilst still having a bit of the Lavender embedded in it. I sprayed this at the beginning of a day when I was busy rushing and writing some things for an assignment and for drafting a few blog posts and even by the time I was settling down to go to bed I could still smell it on my skin. I loved that it lasted that long that it was helping me when I wanted to go to bed.

Would I buy it again? I think that I would. I love how a little goes a long way and I love that it has so much dimension for a spray that helps you relax. I always think that the Body Sprays from Lush are great value as you get so much product for £20 and a bottle lasts so long. I do think that this has a time and place though so I don't think that I will be using it all the time. I will be using this for months to come and hopefully it will help me relax and unwind when the world gets back to being busy when things open back up within the UK.

Have you tried anything from the Twilight or Sleepy range at Lush? Let me know down below!
