Let’s Talk About Being Polyamorous

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new post! I've been wanting to write this post for such a long while! So, I thought that I would finally get on and do it!

To start off, sorry that this post is serious, It's something that I've wanted to talk about for a while, without knowing the best way to talk about. I always believe in that the way to break down stigmas, is to talk about it, which is what I'm doing today.

Hi, i'm Jamie, and, I identify as polyamorous. It's something little to say and even type, but boy am I proud that i am typing that I identify as poly.

A bunch of tall women and men with different hair styles wearing white shirts and black pants on a bright background

What is polyamory? It is defined as: the practice of engaging in multiple sexual relationships with the consent of all the people involved.

Poly means many, and, amory, well means, love, therefore, it basiccally means to love many.

Polyamory can be closed and open. Closed is more towards, sort of triad/throuple. A throuple is, three people in a relationship, or more, like two people in a relationship having another partner that they both know about. Open is more of a well branches of relationships, which is what I am. \

is polyamory just a way to be a slut? No. I mean, first of all, let's reclaim the word slut. Slut isn't a bad word. It's fab and we should use it more and more in an empowering way! Polyamory isn't just a way to be sexually promiscuous. It's understanding how you feel about love and relationships. It's about understanding that monogamy isn't for you. It's understanding that there's more to love than what's represented in the media. It's being who you wanting to be and being accepted for it.

Why do people identify as polyamorous? Again, a lot of the above comes into this particular answer. Furthermore, kinks and interests come into play. Some people when going into relationships, know that their partners may be into other things, that they are not and letting them go off and find others that are into the things that you're not, means, that they will come back being happy and fulfilled. The interests could be sexual or non sexual.

Is it stressful/complicated? Of course it is, any sort of relationship, whether this be with friends, family can be stressful though, so it's not that different to that. I've been in a few poly based relationships before. They included both, open and closed relationships, and they broke down for the same reasons that a monogamous relationship would. It was gritty, messy and complex, but I think the main difference and I don't know why but it was easier to be pure friends with at least a couple of them after the relationship, because of the polyamorous aspect of it being more open, and, free flowing. I realise that makes zero sense, but, I think a lot of people see being poly as an alien concept that a lot of the mainstream public don't understand thus don't want to be educated on it, due to ignorance and not wanting to know what other possibilities are in the world.

Why are you identifying as poly? Anxiety was a main factor of it, and I realise that sounds weird, but what I mean by that is, that I have forever thought that being in a monogamous relationship, from saying hi for the first time onwards, creates tension for me in my brain. I always worry about everything, from stupid things to major things, and i knew that some point they'd get sick of me. Being in a poly relationship would calm that down, because I'd know that they'd have someone else to talk to and half my worries would be banished, because I'd be able to talk to more than one person that i feel truly and deeply connected with about it. Going off from that, I mean that worries about wondering if the other person is okay or if they're safe or having a good week or whatever, is halved, because I already know that they're spending time with people that they are interested in too.  That sounds worse than what i was intending it to sound. I also just love a lot. Anyone that has met me, knows that I'm loving and passionate in everything that I do, and, honestly i just want all the love to flow around the world, and as selfish as it sounds, all the love to be shown to me. This will probably sound worseI intend for it to sound, but, it means that the sexual tension of trying to get to know new people is broken a bit, because, you already know that they have the same ideas and values and you don't feel as tense thus you can talk about anything safely with people that you probably would have never met in a monogamous setting. There is also things like jealousy, but, unlike in monogamous relationships where the other person bottles stuff, you can have more open conversations and explore why you're jealous. A lot of monogamous relationships break down due to the lack of communication.

I realise that this is a kit if information to understand, in one go, so I'm going to link a video to help you understand it further.

If I've said anything that you think is incorrect, or, that you want to add to then please do comment!

I hope that you've enjoyed this post and I hope to see you next time!

Getting Nutty With Flavour | icestone Gelato

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I went to try a sweet dish, at the well known brand Icestone Gelato, and I thought that today, I would tell you all about, what I had and my opinion on the dish.

A large circular bowl containing dark brown cookie dough with specks of heart shaped red strawberries with a light brown circular wafer with Icestone engraved into it on a large circular brown table on a bright background.

Icestone aims to be the ultimate dessert experience, with an range of gelatos and desserts. Icestone's Waffles, Crepes and Cookie Dough are made via their own secret recipe and as their other desserts, they have sought out the cream of bakers all over the North-West and commissioned the best cakes, cheesecakes and puddings from them.

I decided to go into Icestone Gelato, with, Jim when they came up to Leeds. (He also came along to Trinity Kitchen to try out some food. Click here if you want to read all about that.) We walked in, found a cute booth to sit and chat in, and snapped some pictures of the interior of the building.

I perused the menu for several minutes, because I'm indecisive and always want everything when it comes to food. After uhming and ahhing, I decided to choose a Nutella & Strawberry Cookie Dough, with Vanilla Gelato. (If you want to check out what Jim got when he came to Leeds for a catch up, then, check our their Instagram.)

The dish came to the table, and I already could tell that I was going to love it. You could tell that it was made with love and passion, just from the look of it.

The rich Chocolate spread against the cool refreshing taste of Strawberries was amazing. The contrast between the crunchy hard exterior, and, the gooey interior was amazing. I'm a nerd for texture contrasts. It just makes an eating experience that little bit better. I love Nutella, so, the fact that the Cookie Dough was full of it, made me very very happy.

The Vanilla Gelato, was rich, creamy, and, heavenly. The coldness against the hotness was orgasmic. I also loved it, as, I have slightly sensitive fangs (honeatly my teeth are as sharp as knves), so the sort of soft to near melted ice cream was a little bit melted for me. Some may think that, the dessert as a whole would be a bit sickly, but the Vanilla and Strawberry flavours, helped to cut through all of the sweetness.

I reassured myself that it was fine to eat all of it, due to the Nuts and Strawberries. I mean, Nuts are always good for you, and, so are Strawberries, therefore it's healthy!

Icestone also do a plethora of sweet treats, including, sundaes, puddings, and, freakshakes, so I'm sure that I'll be back very soon.

Have you been to Icestone Gelato before? Let me know down below!

I hope that you have enjoyed this food based blog post! I hope that you come back for a new post!

Getting Beefy Without Some Of The Meat | Trinity Kitchen

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new blog post. The wonderful guys over at Trinity Kitchen at Trinity Leeds, invited me to go and try out some of the new vendors that have arrived for the Winter season, so I thought that I would tell you all about, the vendors, dishes, and my opinion of the dishes that I tried at Trinity Kitchen.

Trinity Kitchen is a open plan food court in the heart of Leeds city centre, that offers a plethora of food from different cuisines and countries, such as Vietnam, America, Mexico, and many more Trinity Kitchen also offers the citizens of Leeds, brand new food vendors on an eight week rota, which ensures that they get to enjoy a selection of different food vendors throughout the year.

(I decided to try some of the new vendors at Trinity Kitchen with Jim, my good friend from, near Wigan. If you want to check him out, then just click on his name throughout the post. If you want to check out any of the vendors, then do the same.)

Me and Jim started off by going to Tortilla, he decided that he wanted to try one of their Burritos, so, I stool in line with him, whilst he decided on what he wanted within the Veggie Burrito that he had ordered. He liked it, and thought that, the Hot Salsa went well with the cooling Sour Cream in the Burrito.

We then went along to Sela Bar. Sela Bar is back by popular demand with outstanding burgers and all the toppings! We love the super double cheesy, two steak and caramelised onion patty's with double American cheddar, onions, pickles and of course loads of ketchup.

A large white rounded rectangular sign with burgers in dark black font with small circular lights behind it on a dark background

I decided to get a BBQ Burger, which was filled with all sorts of goodies, including, Bacon, BBQ Sauce, delicious Cheese, Pickles, and much more. Jim enjoyed a Halloumi Burger. He mentioned that he enjoyed the mixture of salty and sweet, that was going on within the Burger, due to the sweetness of the sauce, and the saltiness of the Halloumi Cheese. He also ordered some Fries, which I had a couple of. They were crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. The showings of a perfect fry.

A white circular block with green lettuce and red sauce inside two golden buns on a white tray with a portion of rectangular golden fries next to it on a light brown square table with a guy wearing a white tshirt behind the burger on a dark background.

Next up on our trail was Doh Hut. Only the best will do, say hello to The British Street Food Awards 2018 winner! The finest and only DIY donuts in the city. Our favourite is the Vanilla Bean Crème Patisserie filled donut with Salted Caramel Sauce, Homemade honey comb and homemade shortbread- unbelievable!

A tall pale man wearing a grey beanie hat, dark blue shirt, black jeans and a white apron standing over a silver large square metal over in a white rectangular van on a bright background

When we walked up to the vendor truck, the lovely guy that was on shift there, offered us a try of a mix of Creme Pat & Raspberry Jam. It was divine. Fruity and creamy at the same time. Reminiscent of 'Pink Custard.' After tasting that amalgamation of amazingness, I decided to choose a Raspbery Jam one, and Jim decided to go for a Creme Patisserie one. I loved the contrast between the sugary exterior, with the tart fresh interior. It was sticky but definitely worth it. Jim said that the Creme Pat filling worked with the sugar on the outside.

A circular golden donut sprinkled with white grains of sugar filled with red raspberry jam with a red raspberry on the top of it on a white rectangular tray on a light brown rectangular table on a bright background

Lsst on our adventure around was, Village Deli Scotch Eggs. Scotch egg lovers are in for a treat! Sample a modern take on the traditional snack at Village Deli Scotch Eggs with European varieties including chorizo and red pepper, and black pudding.

A large white rectangular van with a white rectangular sign with hot and crispy scotch eggs in black casual font with a large pale man inside wearing a wjite and red hat and white shirt and black jeans on a bright background

I decided to go for a Chorizo Scotch Egg. I love that thick spicy sausage in absolutey anything. The Egg was slightly runny on the inside, crispy on the outside, and had the warming spice of Paprika running all the way through it. It was absolutely amazing! I rarely eat Scotch Eggs, mainly because, I associate Scotch Eggs, with being dry and powdery from the supermarket. As Jim is a Veggie, he got to enjoy the salad garnish.
Two semi-circular golden brown scotch eggs showing a white egg with a yellow yolk with pieces of bown chorizo next to a leay green salad on a white rectangular tray on a light brown circular table on a dark background

The other two vendors at Trinity Kitchen, include, Let's Go Wild Boar (they were mentioned in my last Trinity Kitchen post), and, Little Red Truck, that specialises in Cheese Sandwiches, but wasn't open, when I was there.

Have you tried any of the new vendors in Trinity Kitchen. whilst getting some Christmas shopping done? Let me know down below!

I hope that you have enjoyed this food based post! Don't forget to check everyone that is linked within this post.

Licking The Scent Off Your Body & Into Your Mouth | Smith & Sinclair At Trinity Leeds

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new blog post! The wonderful guys over at Smith and Sinclair, invited me to the launch of their pop up, at the wonderful Trinity Leeds, and I thought that today, I would talk to you all about the launch event.

A long thin champagne flute filled with clear prosecco topped with a thick layer of white foam with a wooden cylindrical thin stick poking out of the top on a rectangular silver table with a blue cloth on a dark background

Smith and Sinclair believe that adults should approach life with the same freedom and curiosity we did as kids, but with a slosh of booze to fuel the adventure.

We arrived at the pop up store, to be greeted with smiles and hugs. We made our way towards the drink station, where there were glasses of Prosecco, with lollipops to add to the drink, and Boba to add to the drink. Both of these had different flavours, so you could mix and match the flavours. Luke had a Cherry based one,. because Luke loves Cherry anything, and I decided to go for a more Orange flavoured lollipop with Lychee based Boba. I loved choosing different flavours, and seeing how they blended together with the taste of the Prosecco. I also loved how, when you instantly dunked the lollipop in, the drink fizzed and foamed up.

Semicircular glass clear bowls containing red, yellow and white small spherical balls of boba on a silver rectangular table with a blue cloth on a dark background

Yellow, orange and red lollipops on wooden thin cylindrical sticks on a rectangular silver box on a silver rectangular table with a blue cloth on a dark background

After trying a couple of flavours, we wandered around and slowly found out about the edible fragrances that Smith and Sinclair have to offer the public of Leeds at their pop-up. The concept of edible fragrances can be worn on the skin, or used to flavour/spruce up a drink, by spraying it on the side. I think adding it to things like Gin and Tonics, or maybe a Mojito, or simple Lemonade, would be interesting. I decided to go for Watermelon and Citrus. I love how the Watermelon intermingles with the Citrus notes, to create a sort of Warm Summers Eve style scent.

A long white rectangular board saying eat your drink in black bold font on a dark background

Post checking out the fragrances, we moved onto the Selection Boxes. These are boxes filled with alcoholic (vegan) sweets that ensure that sweets are also for adults! You can choose to purchase a box that has been curated around a theme, including the After Dinner Selection and Gin Lovers Selector, or you can pick and mix. I decided to get a Pick & Mix, which is filled with several scrummy flavours, including, Mocha Espresso Martini, and Hibiscus Negroni. (If you want to find out all about my review of the sweets, look out for my review that will be up soon.)

After looking around the wonderful pop-up store, we were then treated to a few drinks at the intriguing yet excellent establishment, The Alchemist. We first tried the Bubble Bath, which contains, Tanqueray gin, Aperol, Chambord, lemon, apple, and, 'fairy liquid'. The drink also came in a sort of spiralised martini glass which added to the aesthetic. To say that I don't like Gin, I loved the taste of this drink. I'm not sure if its because of the Chambord mixed with the Lemon, but I just kept on sipping and sipping. The 'fairy liquid' was such a weird texture on the lips. Although it was weird, it was kinda of brilliant at the same time. I love Bubbles, Baths and Alcohol, so if you've never tried this one before, I'd definitely tell you to give it a go!

A rectangular white box with Smith and Sinclair in black bold font on a large wooden rectangular table on a dark background

A long stemmed martini glass filled with pink liquid and topped with white bubbles on a large rectangular wooden table on a dark background

I chatted with a few of the other bloggers for a bit, including, Lizi and Kayleigh, before the next deliciously different drink came by. This one was called, 'Lightbulb Moment'. This contains, Tanqueray gin, Pimms, ginger beer, raspberry, lemon, mint. The background of this drink, is that half of the drink comes in a lightbulb shaped glass which you add to your drink. I loved this drink instantly, because well, you get to interact and make some of your drink. Again, I'm not the biggest fan of Gin on it's own, but I love Ginger Beer and Raspberry in anything! (I'm that person that will pick the Raspberry garnish out of a drink, and save it for the end.) The Raspberry and Ginger Beer gave it a sort of sweet but warming taste to it, which is perfect for this time of year.

Don't forget to check out Smith & Sinclair!

Thanks again to the lovely guys at Smith & Sinclair and Trinity Leeds, for inviting me to this amazing event!

I hope that you've enjoyed this food based blog post! I hope to see you next time, for another blog post!

Pull That Cracker and Eat It's Contents! | Subway Christmas Menu

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new post! I thought that, today, I would talk to you all about the new Christmas Menu at Subway. Christmas is slowly upon us and this means, all of the food reviews.

A red rectangle with get a taste of christmas in bold white font with a light golden brown sub filled with brown meat and green salad with a green subway logo on the bottom left on a white background

The festive season is kicking in, which means that all the lights are twinkling, the festive songs are playing, and all of the restaurants and fast food chains are revealing their Christmas/Festive Menus, to ensure that we're all getting into the spirit. I love this time of year, because it means that I can be greedy and get away with it.

I heard that Subway were releasing their Christmas Cracker Sub, as a part of the Festive Menu, and I knew that I had to try it. I love Subway, but I don't go in all of the time unless I am in the mood. (Mainly because if I do, I end up wanting all the cookies and then my stomach is screaming internally at me...)

The new Sub for Christmas contains:  tender turkey, streaky bacon, cranberry & orange chutney, succulent pork & sage stuffing and gravy. You have the option of getting this delicious new decadent sandwich in either a Sub, or a Wrap, depending on your mood. (If you're Veggie, then I'm sure that you'd be able to get a Veggie Patty Sub and then add the Sauces to make it festive?)

A long golden brown sub containing light and dark brown rectangular slices of meat, light brown circular pieces of stuffing, brown and red sauces on a white background

I always decide to go for a 9 Grain Honey Oat when it comes to bread at Subway. I just think it's more filling and I always love that sort of sweet flavour against the bread. The gravy has to be heated up separately to the Sub. I added Peppers, Onions, Sweetcorn & Gherkins to add a bit of crunch. (The debate of Pickles can be left for another time but personally I love a good thick Pickle.) I added Sweet Onion to my sandwich, grabbed a Chocolate Orange Cookie (yes, just one), and I was on my way. (I did want to try a Gingerbread Latte, but I was in a bit of a rush.) I got a footlong version of this sub, because well you've got to go big at Subway. There's no point going small with sandwiches, wheres the fun in that?

The Turkey was succulent and thick. I love a good thick slice of meat. The Bacon added a slight smoky taste and added more bulk to the sandwich. The Cranberry and Orange Sauce added a bit of fruitiness to the sandwich. When tasting it, you got a hint of Orange but it wasn't overwhelming. The Stuffing was amazing and added a bit of spice to the sandwich. In my opinion, I don't think that stuffing is ever a bad thing to add to anything. I love a good bit of stuffing. (I'm that one person at Christmas that can eat it for days.) The gravy was a weird one. I was expecting the sandwich to be swimming in it, but instead it was just a light spray but it ensured that the sandwich was soft and delicious.

I also got a Chocolate Orange Cookie. The cookie itself was crispy on the edges, but so soft and squidgy in the middle. The best way for a cookie to be! The chocolate was melted so it just meant that every bite was gooey and a bit messy. The Orange flavour wasn't too overppowering, as I could still taste the Dark Chocolate in the sweet treat. I could eat five of these in one go with a nice warm inviting hot drink.

Have you tried the new Subway Menu? Let me know down below!

(This isn't a sponsored post, but if Subway want to collaborate with me, then, I'd be very fine with that.) I hope that you have enjoyed this post.

Have You Heard That God Is A Bath Bomb? | Lush Goddess Bath Bomb

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new post! I thought that, today, I would talk to you about the Goddess Bath Bomb, that was released at Lush Showcase.

If you don't know about the Lush Showcase, then Showcase is an event that happens once a year, to showcase the new products that are coming within the next year at Lush, to press and customers that have got tickets to come to the event.

Ingredients & Smell:

List Of Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate Citric Acid Titanium Dioxide Jasmine Absolute Osmanthus Absolute Rose Oil Sandalwood Oil  Oudh Oil Cream of Tartar Fair Trade Colombian Cocoa Butter Water (Aqua) Cornstarch Argan Oil Fair Trade Shea Butter Synthetic Fluorphlogopite Sodium Coco Sulfate Tin Oxide Cocamidopropyl Betaine Maltodextrin Laureth 4 Dipropylene Glycol *Eugenol *Limonene *Linalool Perfume Colour 77491 Colour 42090:1 Colour 45430:1 Colour 42090 Colour 19140 Colour 17200 Colour 45410

The Bicarb is essential in any bath bomb to ensure that it fizzes and bubbles in the bath. Nobody want a bath bomb that just plops and dissolves, do they? Jasmine is the main front in this bath bomb, so when the Rose mixes with it, it creates a fresh floral base for the product. The Oudh and Sandalwood adds depth to the product to ensure that it's just not flowery, and the Osmanthus adds fruitiness to the bomb. Personally, I think that the Rose and Jasmine are the most prominent in this product.

Background Of The Product:

A fan of Ariana Grande's asked Lush to create a bath bomb based around Ariana. After months of tinkering and mixing, Goddess was born.

What Does It Do In The Bath?:

When the bath bomb first fizzes in the bath, the colour slowly seeps out from a light blue to a deep purple throughout the duration of the bath which helps to a create a sort of slight, ombre effect in the water. The lustre that is in the middle of the concave hole in the product spreads throughout the water to create an iridescent effect. The butters that are in the ballistic slowly seep out at the end to create a foam on top of the coloured water which, then, hydrates the skin due to being so moisturising.

Price:

£5.95

Opinion On The Product:

I think, if you like deep floral scents, and/or Ariana Grande, then this bomb is for you. Personally, I liked it but I wasn't instantly addicted like I was to The Experimenter, or, say the new Luxury Lush Pud. I think that its good for one of those times where you want something light and floral and a bit more moisturising, then say, Sex Bomb. I love the concept and I kinda love the design, even though I did think it was a bit of a weird look at first. I think that this bomb is definitely one, that you have to try yourselves before making a decision on it.

Have you tried Goddess? Let me know down below!

Thank you for reading this post. I hope that you come back next time for another post.

Tips On How To Calm Down Anxiety With Sanctuary Bathrooms

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Warning: mentions of mental health and things related to mental health such as anxiety attacks and depression FsanFare discussed within this post.

Welcome to a brand new post! I don't talk about it a lot, but, if you know me at all, then you will know that I suffer from mental health problems... Therefore, I thought that today, I would talk to you all about how I try to relax when my mental health isn't that fab. I have collaborated with Sanctuary Bathrooms on this post, please do check them out, as they are an amazing brand!

A large spherical white bath bomb, next to a long cylindrical white bottle with Nivea in white font on a blue circular bubbble with in shower conditioner in small black font with a bottle shaped bottle of prosecco with a rectangular bar of chocolate wrapped in a purple wrapper saying lacto free milk chocolate in white font on a white tiled background

Sanctuary Bathrooms, is an incredible family owned Bathroom supplier that specialises in full Bathroom Suites, and everything else that you need to create the perfect Bathroom based in the wonderful city of Leeds.

The main way that I relax when I'm severely anxious, or when I feel a bit bleh, to put it in simple words, is a bath. Yes, I get that it's probably a bit cliche, but s good relaxing bath can help. I love baths of every sort, but one of my favourites to help me relax, has to be Lush's Dragons Egg. It has Lemon & Bergamot Oils in, and Popping Candy. I'm not massive on ASMR videos, but honestly, Popping Candy in a bath is such an amazing and relaxing sound.

i also love getting a candle ready whilst it's running. If you want to carry on the popping/crackling sound, then I suggest Woodwick 'Seaside Mimosa.' It just helps to set the mood and well ensures that the room is full of amazing scent before you even get into the bath. I honestly am such an enthusiast when it comes to smells and aromatherapy helping us to get on with life.

Snacks are important when it comes to having a bath. Yes, when I have a bath to help my mental heatlh, I go all in. I try and stick to lactose free things, in regards of chocolate or anything of that sort. The main reason being that, if I'm using products to moisturise my skin, then what is the point in making my skin dry straight after via digesting lactose. I also have to have a drink when I'm in the bath. I normally try and go for a fruit juice. Yes, I know it's boring but it's just the best for me. If you wanted to, you could always mix some Prosecco with an Orange Juice to create a Bucks Fizz feel, if you're feeling fancy.

The other way that I like to relax when my mental health is bad, is weirdly to blog. Blogging helps me to escape whatever is troubling me, and helps me to talk about whatever I want to. I can talk about reviewing a face mask, or talk about the last time I went to a restaurant. I love to put music on, whilst writing as it just keeps my mind realising that something is on in the background, so it can't overthink.

Going out also helps me when I feel like everything is about to boil over. Whether that is, going on a  ten minute walk and snapping a couple of photos on my phone of things that I think look pretty, going on full on days out to places like Manchester, or, York, with people that I adore, or going on nights out with friends that make it that much more memorable and exciting. Doing any of these take my mind off the big thing, as my mind is normally focused on travelling and enjoying the day/might. or the friends themselves, so my mind can actually leave its worries for some time, and enjoy everything for the mean time.

Bingewatching is also a great way to help your mind calm down when it comes to mental health. You can get into your comfiest clothing, warmest of locations, grab some food, some drinks and just turn the outside world off, and escape to a world of your wildest dreams. Spending a day bingewatching a tv show and getting to know the characters inside out, or watching a full series of films, ensures that you are entertained and aren't thinklng of all the worries that have been building up in your mind.

The last tip I have is a simple one. Napping. Nappng solves everything. I know it's probably not the best thing to do, but, it helps REM and well helps you relax as soon as you actually gotten off to nap. You don't have to cope with anything that's going on for a couple of hours.

So, those are my tips to help with anxiety. Let me know if you check any of them out. Let me know if you check out Sanctuary Bathrooms. How do you help with any mental health problems? Let me know down below.

Roll Up! Roll Up! | Trinity Kitchen Supper Club

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new blog post! Today, I thought that I would talk to you all about when I was invited to the Trinity Kitchen Supper Club. I was going to do it a couple of weeks ago, but I've been busy with Lush Showcase, Uni, and having a really bad cold. If you love food, then keep reading!

A bright yellow neon sign saying Trinity Kitchen with the kitchen in cursive white font on a bright background.

If you haven't read any of my posts about Trinity Kitchen, then, Trinity Kitchen is a open plan food court in the heart of Leeds city centre, that offers a plethora of food from different cuisines and countries, such as Vietnam, America, Mexico, and many more. Trinity Kitchen also offers the citizens of Leeds, brand new food vendors on an eight week rota, which ensures that they get to enjoy a selection of different food vendors throughout the year.

Drama Bites

Drama Bites is offering a 100% vegan Punjabi menu with a colourful explosion of Indian food and an amazing authentic taste, including veggie samosas, Aloo Tikki and gluten-free pakoras.

I decided to try their Pakora Box, because I absolutely adore pakoras no matter what. The Pakora Box came with some Mango Chutney, and Vegan Yoghurt Mint Sauce. The Pakoras were lovely and crunchy on the outside and, fluffy but still warm on the inside. They were wonderful spiced. Sometimes with Indian food, it can be a bit spicy for my palette, but these morsels were warming but still flavourful. The Mango Chutney was sweet but still tangy. Sometimes, chutney's can be a bit too sweet, but, you could tell that there was a bit of sourness which went well with the dish. The Vegan Yoghurt-Mint Sauce, was honestly the best thing I've tried ever when it comes to sauces. I couldn't believe that it was Vegan, which meant that my stomach could be calm and still get that cooling, refreshing kick from a Yoghurt based sauce/dip. I could honestly have that on everything!

Let's Go Wild Boar

Let’s Go Wild Boar will be serving up something tasty for meat eaters with dishes including pulled pork boar burgers and succulent boar sandwiches with all your favourite toppings.

I decided to opt for a Cheese Boar Burger. The vendor had many options including, Pulled Boar Burger, and A Blue (Cheese) Boar Burger, but I decided to go for a classic one. The Bun was soft and pillowy, the cheese was melted and oozy. and the burger, well... The burger was meaty, but not fatty, and well seasoned. I love it when a burger is well seasoned, because it just makes everything else pop. I wolfed this down, and I would wolf down ten more like a beast if I could!

Tikk's Thai Kitchen

Award-winning Tikk’s Thai Kitchen is also returning following popular demand. Showcasing Southern Thai street food at its best, the Yorkshire-based vendor will be featuring its famous dishes including crispy prawns, chicken satay skewers and beef massaman curry, with a crisp Singha beer to wash it down.

I have actually tried Tikk's Thai Kitchen before, and I loved it, so I got them again. I decided to go for some Sriracha Mayo Fries. They were the best fries I have ever had. The fries themselves, were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Sriracha Mayo meant that they were spicy but addictive, as they didn't blow your entire head off. The Spring Onions that were decorated on top of the dish, ensured that with every bite you got a mixture of textures with the sauce and fries themselves. I loved these, and they are amazing for when the weather drops and you feel a bit cold!

Thai Khrim

Thai Khrim is also back by popular demand with fresh, hand-crafted Thai ice-cream served with a mountain of toppings, all handcrafted before your eyes. Its ice cream tacos and freshly made waffles are ones not to miss.

I love ice cream. My stomach may not, but I do, so when I got to order something from Thai Khrim, I was spoilt for choice! I decided to go for Nutella & Peanut Butter! Thai Khrim, are well known for creating works of art via their ice cream tacos, and, rolls. Therefore, I watched the creator swirl the mixture and then create delicious rapturing rolls out of ice cream! He asked if I wanted any toppings, and well, because I think you should go big or go home, I went big! I decided to go for Whipped Cream, Sprinkles, Marshmallows, Oreos, more Nutella, and, Chocolate Sauce! I would recommend trying one, even if it's just to see the craft that goes into making one!

New Exclusive Products, Christmas Products & More! | Lush Showcase 2018 Haul

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new post! If you have read my post about going to Manchester and the Lush Showcase, then you will know that I bought a fair few products. I know that you all love a good haul, therefore, I thought that it would be a good idea to tell you all what I bought.

A brown rectangular tag with we were all born naked and the rest is swag in black small font with LUSH in black font at the bottom on the top of a rectangular light blue tote on a white background

Exclusives

Like A Virgin Face Cleanser

Sadly with the exclusives, there were no list of ingredients, but the face cleansers have been added to the Lush Labs collection which is a godsend for me. This is a very luxurious and moisturising product. It contains Organic Extra Virgin Olive and Jojoba Oils, Sunflower, Candelilla, and, Mimosa Wax, and Lemon Myrtle and Sicilian Lemon Oils to awaken the skin and to ensure that the product smells of bright and zingy Lemons

A circular pale yellow bar with a circle of pink in the middle on a white background

Goldfinger Brush Strokes (Fresh Face Mask)

Brush Strokes are a new type of mask that was showcased at the event. The whole concept of them, is that you keep them in the fridge, and then you apply them with a face mask brush to ensure that you get an even coverage. The products were all named after metals such as, Bronze, Silver etc. I bought Goldfinger, which as you could guess is bright gold. The name is inspired by the illustrious and suave James Bond. The only way to get hold of the label and see what it says. From what I gathered, it contains Rose Wate, which will help to refresh and tone your face and Coconut Nectar. It is also made up of a mix of Talc and Cornstarch, which gives it a quite thick texture. The best way to compare it, would be with Rosy Cheeks from the stores.

A clear cylindrical plastic tub with a plastic circular lid with a black label with Goldfinger in bright white font with Brush Strokes in big white font with brush strokes in smaller white font with gold liquid inside on a bright white background

Minamisoma Regeneration Shower Bar

Minamisoma is inspired by Fukushima in Japan, with the well known disasters including the nuclear disaster, and the Japanese tsunami that happen some years ago. This also plays into part, as Lush are releasing a new store which contains at least over 70 new products. Sadly, I can't tell what ingredients are in this product but it smells a bit like the sort of Lemon and White Chocolate scent in Honey Trap/Sympathy For The Skin. It's a Naked Shower Conditioner, so you glide it over wet skin to create a silky lather and then rub it in and wash off to leave your skin soft.

A pale yellow teardrop shaped bar on a piece of rectangular white paper patterned with black bunnies on a white background

#LushLabs Goody Bag

Well I got the goodie bag itself, which is a blue tie-dye colour with #LushLabs in big bold white font with a brown tag which says, 'We were all born naked, and the rest is swag, with a black LUSH logo at the bottom.

I also received some wonderful Lush themed stickers in various bright colours. I also received a iron on patch which is bright yellow with a white tub with bright blue water which says GONE BATHING underneath it.

I also was gifted Ticket To Scrub. Ticket To Scrub, is a body scrub that can be used in the shower or the bath,. It is a naked scrub which means that it comes in a full bar, and not a big black pot. This product contains Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Plum Oil, Osmanthus and Petitgrain Oils. If you like Plum Rain, then you would love this product. I shove it in the fridge before using it, mainly, as there is a lot of oils which means that it melts easily when in contact with warm skin.

Christmas

Bath Bombs:

Shoot For The Stars

SFTS has been out for many years, and is probably on my blog in a fiar few posts. Shoot For The Stars contains Orange and Bergamot Oils which weirdly give the bomb a toffee-like scent. It also contains gold glitter covered Cocoa Butter stars. If you love Honey I Washed The Kids/It's Raining Men, then you will love this one!

A bright blue spherical bath bomb with bright gold stars on a white background

Golden Wonder

Again, Golden Wonder has definitely made a fair few appearances on my blog. It was also within one of my first Lush Christmas haul posts. This bomb looks like a big golden present, which has a bold shade of blue in the middle of it. It contains gold edible stars in the muddle, which makes the bomb rattle when you purchase it. It contains Lime and Cognac Oils, which give the scent a deep citrus scent. If you love Bucks Fizz, or Bubbly, then you will love this one!

A chunky square gold sparkly bath bomb with a white chunky ribbon embedded into the top on a white background

Luxury Lush Pud

Luxury Lush Pud has been a regular at Lush within the Christmas period for many years, but this year, it has changed! It contains circles of different colours which explode in the bath, but it used to smell of Sleepy/Twilight. Now, it smells of Scrub, Scrub, Scrub/The Comforter Oil from the Comforter Spa Treatment. To make this scent, the product contains, Bergamot and Cypress Oils, and Cassis Absolute. It also contains a Candy Holly Leaf on top! If you like the Comforter Bubble Bar then give this one a try!

A spherical light pink bath bomb with circles of different colours including purple and green dotted on the bomb with a white top and a small circular red berry and spiky green leaves on a white background

The Worlds Smallest Disco

TWSD is a new product for this years Christmas Range. The bomb itself is black, but it has spots of colour all over it. The black is made out of a different mixture than the colours, therefore the black is a fast fizzer, and then the spots of colour are a slow fizzer so they'll appear in time. It contains Lime, Cognac, and, Grapeftuit Oils, which give it an uplifting scent with a little something extra. It also contains Popping Candy to give your bath a bit of a dancing tune, and Charcoal, which makes the bath black. If you like Secret Arts Jelly Bomb for it's colour, or Metamorphosis when it was out, then definitely give this one a whirl for the colour alone!

A spherical black bath bomb with circular dots of pink, green and yellow on a white background

Holey Night

O, Holey Night, the stars are brightly shining! This one does contain holes, so if you have a fear of them (the picture of the bomb will be below this, so if you get triggered from it, please read the last word then scroll past the photo as quick as you can). Holey Night also contains, Soya Milk Powder which will melt with the water, and make your skin silky soft. Sicilian Lemon, Rose, and Sandalwood Oils to give a slightly clean but deep scent. If you like products like Ickle Baby Bot, or, Once Upon A Time, then you might like this.

A light blue spherical bath bomb with white holes in the middle of it on a white background

Perle De Sel

Perle De Sel - pearl of the sea, is a new bath bomb that exudes elegance. It contains Coarse Sea Salt and African Sea Grains to show that it contains salt, and scrubs skin in the bath. It also contains Cassie Absolute, Rose Absolute, and, Nenzoin Resionoid (a synthetic musk. If you like Saucy Snowcake, or, Snow Angel then you will want to try this.

A white spherical bomb with gold flakes of sea salt in the centre of it on a white background

Santa Bomb Bomb

Santa Bomb Bomb is two bath bombs, one is the head and one is the body. Me and Luke bought one, and as it is two bath bombs, me and Luke decided to share it. This bomb contains Cocoa and Vanilla Absolute's. If you like character bombs such as the Chick & Mix then you will want to try this.

A red spherical bath bomb with black eyes and white features to look like a beard, with another spherical white bomb undeneath with red and black outlines to look like a santas outfit on a white backgoround

Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb

Everyone knows Snow Fairy! Snow Fairy is that pink scented fragrance that comes around every Christmas. It smells of Pear Drops, and comes in many forms. I decided to get the Jelly Bomb because it's a bit muted due to the Carrageenan which makes up the jelly. I can't wait to use this when I want something sweet. If you like Creamy Candy or Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment, then you will love this!

A bright bubblegum pink spherical bath bomb with white hexagons printed all over on a white background

Cheery Christmas

I got to make this one at the Showcase! Cheery Christmas is definitely one to perk you up! This one has a glittery white snowflake embedded into the top of it and smells of Pink Lemonade! It contains Sicilian Lemon and Buchu Oils, which will definitely perk you up and make you feel cheery and ready for the Winter season!

A red hexagonal shaped bath bomb with a white sparkly snowflake design embedded into the top on a white background

Bubble Bars & Bath Melts

Candy Mountain Yule Log

Candy Mountain, Charlie, Candy Mountain! Candy Mountain, the bubble bar sister to Snow Fairy is back for this Christmas period. Honestly, I'm not sure why its a 'Yule Log' this year, unless it means the sort of flatter/more compact design that it is this year. This contains the same Pear Drop scent that Snow Fairy possesses, and the same bright Pink colour too! If you like the Snow Fairy range, then you will want to try this!

A bright pink flat triangular bubble bar on a bright white background

Yog Nog Yule Log

Do you love creamy sweet scents? Do you like Caramel? If so, then you will love Yog Nog. Both Candy Mountain, and, Yog Nog, contain Fair Trade Cocoa and Shea Butters which must be the Yule Log part. This product contains Clove Bud Oil, Cinnamon Powder, Nutmeg Powder, Soya Milk Powder, and, Soya Yoghurt which will make your skin feel spicy and sweet, and will make it soft and luxurious, in the bath and on your skin. If you like Sea Salted Caramel Soap, then give this a try!

Plum Pudding Bath Melt

Who loves a good bit of Plum Pudding? This new bath melt contains Fair Trade Cocoa Butter to help it melt into the water to make sure your skin is luxurious. It also contains Whole Oats, Dried Apricots, and Almond Oil. The Oats help to scrub dead skin. It also contains Osmanthus and Petitgrain Oils, which give the melt a deep Plum scent. If you like Plum Rain, or Buche De Noel, then give this a try!

A purple semicircular bath melt with pieces of golden brown oats, black raisins, tied up in a purple mesh bag on a white background

Star Light Star Bright Bath Melt

Twinkle, twinkle, little star! SLSB has been on my blog quite a few times. This star contains an array of butters and oils to melt into the skin and bath smoothly. it contains silver lustre on the top which gives your bath an amazing sparkle. SLSB also contains Lime and Ginger Oils, which gives it an uplifting spicy scent. I love this one! If you like Monsters Ball, Ocean Salt, or, The Magic Of Christmas, then give this a try!

Face & Lips

Cranberry Fizz Lip Scrub

Festive season requires a lot of kissing, so prep your lips for all that puckering up! This scrub contains Caster Sugar, Jojoba Oil, Peach Kernel Oil, Cranberry Seed and Lime Oils, and Ginger Absolute to give your lips a bit of a tingle and moisturisation! I love this scrub because it tastes so sweet but has a kick afterwards and preps your lips so well! If you like Merry Berry, then give this a try!

Rudolph Face Mask

With your nose so bright, from this face mask, won't you ride my sleigh tonight? This Jelly Face Mask comes with a little red nose! It contains, Fresh Orange Infusion and Juice, Kaolin, Cocoa Powder, Rhassoul Mud, Tangerine Oil, Cocoa Absolute and a few other goodies. The Cocoa Absolute makes it smell like Chocolate Mousse. The Orange gives it an Orange undertone, but also helps to tone the skin whilst using the mask. The Mud helps to cleanse the skin. The Cocoa Powder helps to ensure that the Face Mask has a consistent colour. Personally, I've smelt it and I haven't gotten any of the Orange coming through, but I'm not sure if it will until you actually apply it to the face? (Who's up for a full review for when I actually use it? Let me know down below!)

Adventure To Manchester | Day 1 | Lush Creative Showcase

Hey everyone!

How are you?

Welcome to a brand new post! I went to Manchester last week, and I thought that I would talk to you all about it today. (I've been in pain due to the aftermath of the weekend, which is mainly why I have waited until the end of the week to write and post this.)

A woman in a black outfit with a blonde ponytail holding a black rectangular sign saying #LushShowcase in white casual font on a bright background

The adventure started off with myself and Luke getting up at the crack of dawn, and making sure that we were on the train before eight am on a Sunday. Yup you read that right, 8am on a Sunday. We made sure that we were on the right train and made our way to Manchester Victoria. When we finally got to the superb station, we stopped for a couple of minutes (checked our phones) and then made our way to Manchester Central Convention Centre.

After a good ten minute drive and a tour of Manchester via our taxi driver, we arrived at the centre. As there were two different queues for Lush Showcase, we asked to double check that we were making our way into the correct queue. When we were triple sure, we slowly made our way up the side of the grand building, and waited in queue whilst others chatted and waited their turn to get into the beautiful building. After about half an hour of waiting, we had our tickets scanned and made our way to the wristband queue then grabbed our wristband. The wristband had a chip in it which meant that you could 'check in' and out of the building easily when you wanted to. Think of it like how Contactless works on a card reader. We grabbed our #LushLabs bag (to find out the contents of the bag ensure to read the Showcase Haul which will be coming very soon), and made our way into the centre of this well, centre.

A long line of several people queuing including one person in a blue coat with a black backpack with a banner in front of them saying Welcome to the cosmic revolution in white font on a blue background

A banner saying Lush Showcase in jumbled up white lettering on a white wall on a white background.
Myself and Luke decided to make our way to the Makeup stand first. We, well I, wanted to check out the new solid makeup including the Slap Sticks and the Glow Sticks. I had a wander around and talked to a lovely Lush staff member who told me all about the Slap Sticks, including that they contain amazing oils and waxes including, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Argan Oil, Sunflower Wax and Orange Peel Wax. She then matched me up to a shade, as there is a mixture of Cool, Neutral and Warm shades to choose from. I found out that the best one for me would be 8N, which is a pale neutral shade.

An array of white, tan and black oval foundations with a semicircle of black wa on a white rectangular plate on a rectangular tan light brown wood board with letterings in black font of each foundation name on a white background.

I then checked out the Glow Sticks which were at a stand next to the solid foundations. The Glow Sticks again contain amazing oils for the skin including, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Oat Kernel Oil and Rose Wax. These solid highlighters come in an array of shades that are all named after birds. This includes, Goldfinch, Pipit, Sunbird, Robin, Ibis, Lark, Rock Dove, Egret, Linnet, and, Peacock. Sadly I didn't try them all, but I do remember trying out Sunbird and Peacock in particular. Sunbird was a lovely metallic silver shade, and Peacock was an amazing yet bright blue shade. The highlighters are creamy and glide on easily. A little goes a long way with these products. The only problem that I had when trying them out was the product kept falling out of the wax holders.

An array of different coloured small chubby pencil shaped highlighters with a cylindrical black wax holder with rectangular black bopxes with white lettering of the names on a white rectangular board on a light brown wooden board on a white background.

We then checked out the new Harajuku range that is exclusive to the Lush Japan store. The Japan store will get over 80? (I think it's 80 but it might be more) bath bombs including the seven that were at Showcase. Two of them that I was in love with was Black Rose, which looked amazing and smelt of the amazing Rose Jam scent. I also loved the seashell one that smelt of Lemongrass. I loved the concept of these. You could kind of buy them at Showcase, but they all had timers next to them. I think that you had to wait for the timer to go off and then go buy it, but I wasn't sure. It's a bit of a shame as I would have loved to try them. We did get to use the mix of one of the Harajuku bombs to create our own sculpture. It smelt of sweet Bubblegum. We also checked out the Goddess Bath Bomb, because well, if God is a Bath Bomb, then I want one!

Next on the Lush Showcase tour was Handmade By You. The Handmade By You stand consisted of two different stages, where members of Lush staff were helping members of the public who were attending Showcase to create products including soaps, bath bombs and much more. We wandered over and was told that we could make either Ghost In The Dark Soap, or Atmospheres. We were told that Ghost In The Dark would take two hours to set. This meant that we went to the Atmosphere's stand, but it turns out that it was just a talk about the Atmospheres for those who don't know what they are. We went back to the Ghost In The Dark stand, and was sadly told that they wouldn't have any mixture for an hour. I know that things don't go to plan at big events like Showcase, but I think it might have worked easier if the handmade by you stand worked on a ticket basis, where you made it and was given a ticket to come back and collect the product. A ticket system might ensure that they have enough mixture for so many or something? I don't know, it's just an idea.

A stand containing a wide silver metal rectangular stand with people in black outfits standing over it with Handmade By You in big bold white font above it on a bright background.

Even though we didn't get to make anything at the stand, we wandered on and was amazed, as we were asked if we would like to make a Christmas Bath Bomb called Cheery Christmas. Luke being Luke, couldn't see the mixtures or the moulds therefore, the lovely staff member made his for him. I actually got to make mine which included, pressing the powders into the mould, and leaving it to set.

A big black board with Cheery Christmas in informal white font on a bright background.

Carrying on the walk around Showcase, the next place we went to, was the FUN House. Luke decided to not go onto it, but I did and I loved it! It consisted of chunky bouncy castle like steps with a floor at the top including, a FUN modelling table where you can make any shapes out of FUN, a stand where you could choose a bath bomb to push down a shoot, and the best bit of the house... A slide. Yes, my big childlike self went down the slide. I mean, if Lush provides a slide, you go down it!

A stand containing a bright stone coloured slide with different coloured steps and yellow arrows on the side with FUN HOUSE in bold silver letters above on a bright background.

A silver stand overlooking the centre with bath bomb designs over it with a silver slide in the middle with views of square windows and a bright silver stage on a bright background
After this, we went to the best part of the whole experience in my opinion. We went into a moving Shower Jelly room. The floors moved, the tables moved, everything moved. There were Shower Jellies of all different sizes and scents. Snow Fairy, Refresher, big, small, you name it! You could do anything with them include slap them, as they were already wobbling due to the shaking floor. Y'know where this is going, I went round the entire room slapping every Shower Jelly possible and then smelling my hand, due to the product getting onto it via slapping. I loved it.

Two large cylindrical shower jellies, one red and one green, wobbling on a large silver rectangular table on a bright background

Wandering through the building, we ended up in a sea of skin and hair care, therefore we decided to check out the hair care first. Showcase had stations where you could have your hair consulted by a member of staff, and then they would use products that are best for your hair for you to try out in the middle of showcase. They also had stations where you could style your hair, wirth new and exclusive products. I went straight for that. I tried out a plethora of new products including an amazing Hair Clay, and an amazing Hairspray. Lush creating Hairspray? Weird, I know but also, amazing! We then went to a stand that was showcasing a plethora of jelly cleansers, solid cleansers and much more. The Solid Cleansers were the Cleansers that are available in store (Herbalism, Angels On Bare Skin, Let The Good Times Roll, Dark Angels) wrapped up like Sushi Rolls. The Jelly Cleansers looked like Jelly Cubes and included scents such as Strawberry and Lemon Verbena. Next on our list was face care. This included the new Cleansers and Face Balms including Jade Roller, Like A Virgin, Sleepy Face and many more. They're apparently available via Lush Labs.

After this, we attempted to go to the shop. This had many problems including the card machines going down, and queues becoming very long. When we got into the queue, it was at about a two hour wait to get into the shop. Luckily and thankfully, a person in front of us asked a staff member if there was anything to do for me and Luke to skip the queue due to Luke, a cane and a two hour queue would not go well. They said they couldn't do anything and then came back twenty minutes and let us in. Personally, I'd love to thank Alex from the Lush White Rose store for sorting that out for us. We got into the store and even had a member of staff help us around the store. (Thank you Holly from the Lush White Rose branch).

We looked around the store and picked up everything from face masks, to bubble bars, to face care and everything in between. If you want to find out more about what I bought, then keep your eyes peeled for my Haul very soon. I would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Lush Harrogate and Lush York who recognised me when I was purchasing my products.

A big red shower jelly with a square belt in the middle of it covered in gold glitter with cylindrical shower gels behind it on a bright background.

We headed to the hotel and shoved everything down. We sorted what we needed to out, and then thought about what we wanted to eat. Due to me being knackered from Showcase, and guiding Luke about all day, we decided to opt for Uber Eats and decided to have a bit of a pig out. I then filmed Luke's Lush Haul for his YouTube, and then decided to call it a night.

Did you go to Lush Showcase? Did you watch any of it? Did you get anything from it? Let me know down below!

I hope that you have enjoyed this travel and beauty filled blog post. I hope that you come back next time for another post. Don't forget to follow me on Social Media at thejamiesowden.
