Celebrating Thirty Years Of Lush Through The Art Of Body Sprays | Lush Eras/Summer Body Sprays

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! Lush recently released five new limited edition Body Sprays and I thought that today I would talk to you all about them. I know that these Body Sprays have been at Lush stores for a while now but I like to take my time when it comes to reviewing fragrance due to fragrance being such a personal thing regarding reviewing the scent and the fragrance itself. These body sprays represent the different eras of Lush Cosmetics through different iconic, fan favourite and brand new scents.

Karma

Ingredients:
Organic Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua), Perfume, Glycerine, Patchouli Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Lavandin Oil, Pine Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Elemi Oil, Cassie Absolute, Cinnamal, Citral, Citronellol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool.

Karma has been that fragrance. A true heady fragrance that just screams Lush to me. Frankly, I am quite surprised that it has took this long for the Karma fragrance to be released in a Body Spray format but I am super grateful that it has been released in 2025 as it  has been 30 years since Karma was first released into the world of fragrance and cosmetics and Lush.

I am a bit biased when it comes to my opinion of Karma as it has been a bit of a on/off signature fragrance for me for a long while now. I realise a on/off signature fragrance sounds counterintuitive. However, as someone who is super indecisive about anything and everything  alongside being non-binary it's best for me to have multiple signature fragrances. Furthermore, I have a lot of products that are on the Karma scent family at Lush so that influences my bias because well if I have everything in a scent family I do like to use them.

If you have never smelt Karma before then imagine a fragrance that evokes the vibe of 70's London where Patchouli incense floats down the cobbled streets of London whilst the scent of the fresh oranges, lavender and lemongrass from the markets and bushes  nearby mingle together to create a truly divine fragrance.

In my opinion, when it comes to the Karma  Body Spray, the Patchouli, Orange and Lemongrass are the three main players whilst the Elemi, Pine and Lavender help to ensure that the fragrance as a whole shines bright on the skin.

When I spray the body spray onto my skin, I am hit with a massive blast of bright, beautiful and zingy citrus which then entwines itself with the deep dark heady Patchouli which stay at the forefront of the scent whilst during the day a blast of Lemongrass and Elemi comes through to help boost the citrus elements of this Body Spray. Towards the end of the day, the base notes blast through which consists of Pine and Lavender which helps to boost the Patchouli back towards the forefront and makes you realise that this scent not only takes you on a journey when you wear it but also that it's a powerhouse.

I've worn this Body Spray on both a very warm day and a cold day and the strength of the Patchouli and Orange has varied. It is well known that on a warm day, spicy and warm notes have a tendency of projecting quite boldly which was proven in this case by the Patchouli being a lot stronger than the citrus notes and on a colder day I did notice that I could smell the Orange, Lemongrass and Lavender a little bit more than usual.  I've worn this all day several times and honestly I can smell it from the initial spray to many many hours later. (By this id say on an average ten hours at least for myself).

Id definitely recommend giving the Karma Body sprays try if you haven't before and if you have then I'd say compare it against the well known and well loved Karma Perfume and see if any of the notes come out on your skin slightly different between the two formuwltions!

Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds

Ingredients:
Organic Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua), Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Glycerine, Perfume, Frankincense Resinoid, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Synthetic Musk, Amyl Cinnamal, Eugenol, Limonene.

Not all blue skies and white fluffy cloud end up being what we think they are...

Blue Skies and White Fluffy Clouds has been an all year round product from Lush in the form of a Bubble Bar and honestly in my opinion has been slept on a little bit in the past few years so I am glad Lush have decided to bring it out in a Body Spray format. I think it will make people appreciate the scent profile a little bit kore now it's available in a fragrance format.

Blue Skies contains Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil and Frankincense Resinoid which blend together to create a truly unique scent. It's slightly spicy, slightly sweet and honestly just reminds me of those British Summers where you would run out to have a picnic due to tht sweet summery element but as soon as you sit down on the grass things would get spicy and the rain would absolutely drench you. In my opinion, Blue Skies also has a sort of spicy Cola element to it.

I'm sure if you've been reading for a while then you will know that I adore any scent that contains Patchouli or Cinnamon and there is no exception in that when it comes to Blue Skies. My only critique about this fragrance is that I think there could be a touch more Cinnamon in this body spray as the Cinnamon comes out the most when the Body Spray has completely dried down on the skin which if you're unaware of like I was the first time wearing this Body Spray then it slightly surprises you later on. I am also a Connamon fiend so this may just be a personal opinion so do go spray it in store and let me know your thoughts!

Strawberry Feels Forever

Ingredients
Organic Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua), Perfume, Glycerine, Olibanum Oil, Kenyan Geranium Oil, Bergamot Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Benzoin Resinoid, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamal, Coumarin, Farnesol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool.

Strawberry Feels Rorevwr... summer Feels Forever... Well the ultimate wish is that summer could last forever!

Long hot Summers and Strawberies just go well together...

Some may know Strawberry Feels Forever under a different name. Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, D'Fluff... The list goes on.

The scent of body spray is the epitome of Strawberries and Cream. You have the superbly sweet fruitiness of the strawberry coming from the combination of Kenyan Geranium Oil, Bergamot, West Timor Sandalwood Oil and Olibanum Oil and the scent of the beautiful cream from the Vanilla and Benzoin that blend together to really evoke the fragrance of a well known English Summer dessert!

I have forever enjoyed the D'Fluff scent and on me it stays very much true to the scent that has a retro legend at Lush for many years. It's bright, sweet and everything you want in a Strawberries and Cream inspired fragrance. I sprayed it and it lasted for at least a good eight hours on myself.

The only qualm that I have about this fragrance is that the Vanilla became slightly Plastic like on my skin around the 5 hour mark which sadly sometimes happens on my skin with scents that focus on Vanilla a bit.. The last fragrance that this happened with was a very well known luxury fragrance brand that are known for their catchy names and bold scents.

Super Milk

Ingredients:
Organic Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua), Perfume, Glycerine, Litsea Cubeba Oil, Tonka Absolute, Vanilla Absolute, Almond Essential Oil, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral, Coumarin, Limonene, Linalool.

The viral sensation has finally come over to the dark Body Spray side...

I am sure you know about Super Milk by now due to the vitality of the fragrance. Super Milk started out as a beautiful hair primer that helps to nourish, detangle and protect against heat but it's now available in a body spray format!

When I sprayed this on my skin, the first notes that I could detect were the Almond and Tonka which blended together to create a slightly nutty and slightly malty note that reminded me of when you've just baked a cake. Once these notes had settled on my skin the Litsea Cubeba and Vanilla mingled with the pre-existing notes to create a beautiful citrus creamy baked goods scent that Super Milk is well known to be like. I really enjoyed the smell of this as alongside the citrus creamy notes that are mentioned above to my nose it also had a slightly smoky note to it from the Tonka that helped to cut through some of the sweetness of the fragrance.

The only downfall of this fragrance for me was that the Litsea Cubeba jumped off my skin quite quickly when I sprayed the Body Spray onto my skin. Sadly I think this is a me problem rather than Super Milk's. Fragrances are quite personal and adapt to our skin dna and I have noticed lately that a lot of bright  citrus fragrances jump off my skin quite quickly which is a bit of a pain because sometimes all I want is a pure sprightly citrus fragrance to help perk me up during a dark and gloomy day.

It may just be me so definitely go into a store and test it out if you can and let me know if the citrus notes in Super Milk Body Spray flash off your skin quickly too!

Stormy Weather

Ingredients:
Organic Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua), Perfume, Glycerine, Neroli Oil, Basil Oil, Styrax Oil, Rosewood Oil, Bergamot Oil, Synthetic Musk, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

Even when the weather gets stormy, you need to smell fabulous!

Stormy Weather contains Neroli Oil, Basil Oil, Styrax Oil, Rosewood Oil, Bergamot Oil and Synthetic Musk that blend together to create a truly unique scent that is perfect for the transition from Summer into early Autumn in my opinion.

Stormy Weather is a brand new fragrance for 2025 from Lush. Whereas Karma operates the start of Lush thirty years ago, Stormy Weather celebrates the vibe of where fragrances can go within 2025 and focus on how fragrances can relate to the environment, our feeling mf and the memories that it can create such as remembering that it was a stormy day during a first date when you wore Stormy Weather because it reflected the bad weather yet made you feel joyful.

When I have worn the Stormy Weather Body Spray, the Bergamot is the star of the show and is quite prominent when you spray it onto the skin. Once the Bergamot has dried down the Basil, Neroli and Styrax come out in full force to create a truly fresh yet three dimensional scent whilst the Rosewood and Synthetic Musk come through last to create a slightly sweet yet woody base to this fragrance.

As mentioned, on my skin the Bergamot, Basil and Rosewood come out the most which blend together to create a really fresh summery scent with aquatic notes and a strong woody base which for a fragrance called Stormy Weather was a bit surprising as I think the initial thinking with a name such as Stormy Weather is deep, smoky and maybe even something Anise forward. In my opinion, Stormy Weather smells like a mixture of Hiccup from the How To Train Your Dragon X Lush collaboration range and the Salty Body Spray from Lush

I think that Stormy Weather is a beautiful scent  that projects quite vividly. Personally, on myself it feels a bit like it's a fragrance suited to a particular mood and a particular vibe which can be a touch troublesome as I am not always in that specific mood so I don't always gravitate towards Stormy Weather but I do enjoy wearing it when I am in that mood.

I think that this could be a great fragrance for those in your life who adore aquatic fresh scents with a blast of wood and citrus underneath and would make for an amazing gift for either a special occasion or for when someone in your life needs a treat! When I've been into a store with my partner, they have said that they enjoy this fragrance so I have been tempted lately to grab them a bottle as a treat!

Have you tried any of these five Body Sorays that were released to celebrate thirty years of Lush? Which one is your favourite? If you could turn a Lush fragrance into a Body spray, which one would it be? Let me know in the comments and on social media!
